Rick: No, something's off here. A half-hour ago, you were looking forward to having dinner with me. You spend five minutes with Amber, and now suddenly the plans are off. What did she say to you, Caroline?

Steffy: You know, this is a great idea.

Thomas: We haven't got to spend a lot quality time lately. I miss my sister.

Steffy: I miss you, too.

Thomas: (Chuckles)

Steffy: (Laughs)

Thomas: So what have you been up to?

Steffy: Um... a lot. Well, a lot around me, for a change. I mean, Hope's in a crisis.

Thomas: Yeah, more like total meltdown mode.

Steffy: Yeah. Uh, oh, Caroline-- she's on board at Forrester.

Thomas: A much happier development.

Steffy: Mm-hmm.

Thomas: (Chuckles)

Steffy: Hey, I get the impression that you, uh, like her.

Thomas: What gave me away?

Steffy: The stupid look on your face.

Thomas: (Chuckles)

Steffy: Oh, and we can't forget the war of wills between Brooke and Amber. But you know what? (Singsongy) None of it is about me! (Normal voice) For the first time in my life, I feel like I'm completely drama-free, you know, and I can really just... (inhales sharply) listen to my heart.

Thomas: All right, so what's it telling you?

Steffy: You know what? Um... (Sighs) what I knew all along, you know if I'm just patient, Liam will come back to me.

Bill: So what do you know about Steffy's new line?

Liam: Just that she's creating one.

Bill: Find out what she's doing and we'll, uh, run a timely cover story.

Liam: Yeah, I'll--I'll-- I'll arrange the interview. I'll even write the surrounding copy myself.

Bill: What could be better than that? I mean, who knows Steffy better than her dearly beloved?

(Cell phone rings)

Liam: Saved by the ringtone.

Bill: Lucky you.

(Ring)

Liam: Hey, you're not thinking of canceling on me, are you?

Hope: Are you kidding? I can't wait. That's why I called-- to tell you that I'm so excited about dinner tonight.

Liam: So Bikini's still good?

Hope: I already know what I'm having.

Liam: All right. I'll see you tonight.

Bill: (Sighs)

Liam: That was Hope.

Bill: You don't say.

Liam: (Sighs) We're gonna go out tonight, like a normal couple. (Scoffs)

Bill: You may want to rethink that, going out like a normal couple. Last time, all hell broke loose, didn't it?

Liam: (Sighs)

Amber: Stop acting like a Forrester-- I mean, automatically assuming that I did something wrong. I mean, what makes you think Caroline and I were even talking about you?

Caroline: Okay, Amber was just explaining your unique love of fashion.

Rick: Yeah, I've been around it my whole life.

Caroline: And it has had an obvious impact.

Amber: Hmm, that's our Rick. Never does anything halfway.

Caroline: Apparently not.

Rick: Am I missing something?

Amber: Um, like what?

Caroline: I'd like to speak to Rick alone.

Amber: Are you sure?

Caroline: Yeah.

Amber: Fine. Okay.

Caroline: I suppose I do owe you an explanation for the turnaround.

Rick: I'm listening.

Caroline: The thing is...

Rick: What?

Caroline: I like you, Rick. And I respect all of your choices, however unconventional, especially now that I know that you have a personal knowledge of women's fashion and what works and I'm gonna love working with you, learning how to approach things from a different perspective. But... that's as far as it goes. I'm not interested in anything more.

Thomas: You're still wearing your wedding ring?

Steffy: I'm still married.

Thomas: Only for a few more months.

Steffy: Liam and I, we'll never get a divorce.

Thomas: Steffy, are you taking Hope into consideration at all? She's in this, too, you know.

Steffy: The question is, for how much longer? Hope as freaking out because she went against her principles, and she moved in with a married man, causing damage in their relationship, Thomas.

Thomas: And you know this for a fact?

Steffy: Yeah. Trust me when I say this-- our divorce, it will never happen.

(Upbeat music playing)

Hope: (Clears throat) Ah. (Sighs)

Bill: I’m not disrespecting what you have with Hope.

Liam: That's--that's funny. That's what people always say before they say something disrespectful.

Bill: Well, come on. You know, I mean, the fact is there's always some kind of drama with this girl. You can never just be happy and relaxed like you were with Steffy.

Liam: Dad, I know you're just trying to look out for me.

Bill: The truth hurts.

Liam: Your truth, not mine. Anyway, I don't want to keep Hope waiting.

Bill: Go on. You're not mad, are you?

Liam: No.

Bill: Probably good you're leaving then.

Liam: Yeah.

Bill: This conversation isn't over!

(Door closes)

Steffy: So, uh... tell me about this new Spencer in town.

Thomas: (Sighs) Honestly, Steff, womanly perfection.

Steffy: Well, I can't wait to meet her.

Thomas: Maybe I can arrange that. Caroline said she had plans for tonight, but plans change. Nothing lost by trying.

Caroline: I'm looking at it, but I still can't believe it.

Amber: You know, it could be a good thing-- you know, being with a guy who's in touch with his feminine side.

Caroline: Okay, well, "in touch" is one thing, but this...

Amber: I thought you liked Rick.

Caroline: No, he's a terrific guy. I mean, don't get me wrong. I'm not judgmental-- whatever works for you. But for me, personally, it's a bit much.

Amber: Hmm. Well, you know Rick, he isn't the only catch around here. I mean, have you taken a good look at Thomas? I mean, talk about handsome! And he's a designer, so you guys have that in common. And he's a Forrester. Really, you know, the only difference between, you know, Rick and Thomas is one's taller and has darker hair.

(Cell phone alert chimes)

Caroline: Oh. Oh. It seems you've talked him up.

Amber: Thomas?

Caroline: He wants me to meet him at Bikini.

Amber: (Gasps) You should so go. I-I mean, what do you have to lose, right?

Caroline: (Sighs)

Hope: (Sighs)  (Sighs) Mm. (Sighs)  (Breathing heavily) (Gasping) (Breathing heavily)  (Grunting) (Sighs) (Breathing heavily)

Steffy: I'll be back... or not. Guess who?

Liam: (Sighs)

Steffy: And you better not say Hope.

Liam: Come on. I knew it was you before you even opened your mouth. If you blindfold me and put me in a crowded room full of women, I'd be able to pick out your touch every time.

Man: Okay, Thomas, you're all set.

Thomas: (Sighs) Graham, thank you. Really, I owe you one. Hey, Sandy. I haven't seen you in a while.

Sandy: I've been busy.

Thomas: Really? Is that so?

Graham: Uh, you wouldn't believe how scheduled kids are these days.

Thomas: (Chuckles) Wow. Well, do you think you are too busy to help me with something?

Sandy: I'll try.

Thomas: You know, I'm expecting a very beautiful young woman here tonight. So... you know what? Just take a look.

Sandy: She's pretty.

Thomas: Almost as pretty as you. Okay, come here. Here's what I want you to do. (Whispering) I want you to take her...

Amber: (Hums)

Rick: Where's Caroline?

Amber: (Laughs) I-I-I don't know. I-I just left the photo studio, and, uh, she's not there. She got a text and took off, so it looks like it's just you and me, kid.

Rick: Good. You can tell me what happened.

Amber: Uh, when?

Rick: Just now with Caroline.

Amber: (Scoffs) How should I know?

Rick: Don't play dumb with me, Amber. What did you say to her to turn her off me?

Amber: I-I don't know. I mean, we--we were talking, you know, about lifestyle choices.

Rick: Lifestyle choices? Why?

(Intercom buzzes)

Rick: You know, forget why. I don't want you messing with my personal life.

Amber: Okay. I was just...

Rick: Yeah, this is Rick Forrester. Yeah, put him through. (Speaking indistinctly)

Man: (Knocks on door)

Amber: What-- what are you doing here?

Man: Uh, looking for you. You got a second?

Amber: No, no, I-I don't have a second, because I'm busy. We have deadlines--like, terribly looming deadlines.

Man: That's okay, I won't take up much of his time. Mr. Forrester?

Amber: Uh... hey, um...

Man: I-I've been thinking a lot about our photo shoot.

Amber: Ooh, no.

Man: It's kind of freaking me out. I still don't know why you wanted me to put on--

Amber: (Laughs nervously) I-I--you know what? No--no-- no problems, no problem. You know what? When I'm done here, I will give you a call, and, uh, we will--we'll talk about it.

Man: Okay.

Amber: We'll do that. Oh. (Laughs)

Rick: What was that about?

Amber: (Inhales sharply) This is embarrassing. Just, uh, don't judge, okay?

Rick: I knew it. I knew you were holding out on me. You spill it right now, Amber.

Amber: Oh, okay. Well, you--you know me. I am a-a woman who has certain desires. I mean, did you see the body on that guy? Anyway, I had him in for a shoot, and I just sort of suggested that he should pose with just a scarf around him. (Giggles)

Rick: You just put this company at risk of a lawsuit. What are you thinking?

Amber: I just--I don't know what got into me. (Giggles)

Rick: Contain it.

Amber: (Sighs)

Rick: Now I'm gonna ask you one more time, because I want answers. What did you say to Caroline?

Sandy: Excuse me. Are you Caroline Spencer?

Caroline: I am. Do I know you?

Sandy: Follow me, please.

Caroline: Okay. (Giggles)

Caroline: Wow.

Thomas: Do you like it?

Caroline: I'm stunned. (Sighs)

Thomas: Thank you so much, Sandy. Uh... (Sighs) I wanted to create a beautiful setting for you, but looking at you tonight, who needs it?

Hope: (Sighs) (Exhales deeply) (Yawns) (Sighs) (Inhales sharply) (Sniffles) (Sighs) (Exhales deeply)  (Sighs) (Sighs)

Steffy: So are you eating alone? I'm sure I know the answer to that.

Liam: (Scoffs) Yeah. No, yeah, I'm--I'm meeting Hope.

Steffy: How is she holding up?

Liam: It's rocky.

Steffy: Well, you know, maybe a-a night like this will change it. Stay away from the P.D.A.s, though.

Liam: (Laughs) Yeah. Hey, let me ask you something.

Steffy: Hmm?

Liam: What kind of line are you starting up?

Steffy: Ski line.

Liam: Skiing, really, for Forrester?

Steffy: Yeah. Yeah. We've never done anything like it before. But that's what the new generation is about-- innovation, the next big thing.

Liam: Yeah.

Steffy: Yeah. (Chuckles)

Liam: Colors--lots of bright, reflective colors.

Steffy: Yes.

Liam: You're gonna want that.

Steffy: Yeah. Stylish and safe.

Liam: Safe. (Laughs)

Steffy: I love it. (Laughs)

Liam: So, uh, where are you in the planning stages?

Steffy: Early. Early. But I-I got a bunch of meetings. I've going to Aspen, and, uh, I'll be there for Aspen fashion week.

Liam: Huh. I will be, too, for "Eye on Fashion."

Steffy: Oh. (Chuckles)

Liam: (Sighs)

Steffy: Does it-- does it bother you, you know, the-- the two of us back in Aspen, where we started our marriage?

Liam: No. No. All my memories of you and Aspen are spectacular.

Caroline: I'm impressed that you pulled this together so quickly.

Thomas: I was highly motivated. (Sighs)

Caroline: I'm flattered. Where did you find the little girl? Nice touch, by the way.

Thomas: Thank you.

Caroline: (Laughs)

Thomas: That's Sandy. She's the manager's daughter.

Caroline: You have a nice way with her.

Thomas: She's a great kid. I wouldn't mind having one like her one day.

Caroline: So you want children?

Thomas: Someday, yeah-- a wife, kids, man cave.

Caroline: (Laughs)

Thomas: (Chuckles) What about you?

Caroline: One day, um, but right now, I would settle for a great love, like Aunt Caroline and Ridge.

Thomas: (Sighs) I bet I can arrange that.

Liam: Hope, I'm at Bikini... waiting. Where are you? Okay, call me back.

Steffy: Is everything, uh, all right?

Liam: Yeah. Just Hope's not answering, and she should be here by now.

Steffy: Don't worry. Hope's not about to stand you up.   I'm glad you'll be in Aspen. You know, when I was there alone... (Sighs) it felt like... (Sighs) you know, like, that thing that made it magic was gone. It was still, you know, beautiful and peaceful, but, uh... I kept bumping into us-- you know, seeing Aspen for the first time, on top of Ajax Mountain, exchanging our vows, sitting by the river, drinking wine in our own little world. (Giggles) Cha-cha-cha. Look, um... I know things won't be the same. I mean, you know, we're not together like that anymore. But just knowing that you're there, you know, in our special place...

Liam: (Sighs)

Steffy: Walking the same streets, hit with the same memories... our memories... it'll be enough...  for now. . .
