Steffy: Good to know I can still get a hug from my husband.

Liam: (Laughs) Yeah.

Steffy: Chuckles) so, um... (Sighs) Where's Hope? Thomas said that she passed out or something, and you had to pull her out of the water. Is she okay?

Liam: Uh, yeah, yeah, I mean, I guess so. She says she is.

Steffy: Hmm.

Liam: I'm, uh... I'm not so sure.

Hope: Oh.

Amber: Hey, you. Where you going?

Hope: Sorry, I just wanted to find someplace quiet.

Amber: Oh, well, come on in. Come on in. Believe it or not, I can be quiet. See. Shh. (Whispers) Like a library. (Normal voice) Oh, no. You're really upset. Uh, w-what happened? I thought you were chilling by the Forrester pool.

Hope: Yeah, I was.

Amber: Well, then you should be all chilled and relaxed. What's got you so stressed out?

Hope: I don't--you know, I don't really want to talk about it.

Amber: Well, maybe you need to, huh? I mean, talk to me, Hope. Let me--let me be there for you. Anything you need-- let me be your friend, hmm?

Taylor: I just want Steffy to be able to move forward with her life. I would like her to be able to keep her marriage, but Liam's moved on with Hope, and I don't want her waiting around in vain for some miracle to happen. Look how many years I wasted of my life waiting for you.

Ridge: Oh, I think you're doing all right, Doc.

(Door opens)

Thomas: (Sighs)

Ridge: Hey, Thomas.

Thomas: Hi.

Ridge: Have some fun by the pool with Caroline?

Thomas: (Chuckles) It was definitely a good call.

Taylor: Yeah, I can tell you haven't been able to take your mind off of her since you met her at the party.

Thomas: (Chuckles)

Taylor: She is very stunning.

Thomas: Yes, she is, but, um, something happened at Grandma's. Hope and Liam were there, and she had a little accident.

Ridge: What happened?

Thomas: She fainted and fell into the pool.

Ridge: Is she all right?

Thomas: Yeah, Dad, she's fine now. It's just, Dad, I got this vibe that... (Sighs) Something's up between Hope and Liam.

Steffy: You're worried about her. You know, the way Thomas was talking, she was fine.

Liam: Yeah, I guess so.

Steffy: She passed out and fell into the water?

Liam: Mm-hmm.

Steffy: Scary.

Liam: Mm-hmm.

Steffy: So you pulled her out and you saved her, you know, just like you did with me when I fell in the bathtub.

Liam: Uh...

Steffy: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.

Liam: (Chuckles)

Steffy: You're good at that...

Liam: Yeah.

Steffy: Saving people. Me, too. Just say the word, and I'll rescue you from Hope. (Clicks tongue) Where is she, anyway?

Liam: (Inhales sharply) (Sighs) She took off. We, uh, argued, and she left.

Amber: I always feel ten times better when I get things off my chest. And whatever you tell me...

Hope: I passed out and fell into the pool today.

Amber: Oh, no. Are you okay?

Hope: Yeah, yeah. No, I'm--I'm fine. I'm fine. That's... that's not even what has me upset. I... (Sighs) Liam and I got into an argument.

Amber: Oh, Hope, that sucks.

Hope: Yeah. But I don't blame him for being frustrated with me. I haven't been acting like myself.

Amber: Well, I mean, you told me you've been really stressed out. I mean, you've been seeing a psychiatrist and taking antianxiety medication. Wait, you don't think what happened today had anything to do with the pills, do you? Wow!

Ridge: Hope went through a traumatic experience today.

Taylor: Well, it is natural that they would both be in a bit of shock after what happened. Do you think that's what you sensed going on between the two of them?

Thomas: No. No, I don't think that's it.

Taylor: Well, I'm just glad that you guys were there and that she's okay.

Ridge: Does Brooke know what happened?

Thomas: I'm not sure, but Steffy does. She was actually at Grandma's when it happened, and I think she's down by the pool with Liam right now.

Steffy: I'm sorry hope walked out on you. Do you, you know, want to talk about it? I-I won't push, but I-I-I'm here if you need me.

Liam: No, no. You know--I mean, you know how much stress she's been under lately.

Steffy: Yeah, all the stuff in the media, I know.

Liam: Yeah. Yeah. It's like every day's judgment day for her, you know?

Steffy: But you--you said that she was dealing with it. I mean, she told me she is.

Liam: She is sometimes. (Sighs)

Steffy: Uh-huh.

Liam: Other times... not so much. It seems to change from moment to moment.

Steffy: Yeah, the mood swings.

Liam: Yeah, you know what? I really wasn't worried about it until today, but she was just.. so... over the top. And the next thing she--she's passing out, falling into the pool.

Steffy: Yeah, but you pulled her out. (Sighs)

Liam: Yeah. I mean, I tried to get her to go to a doctor, but she said, "Oh, oh, stop overreacting. Oh, stop making a big deal," you know. Like, I've been worried about her lately all of these-- these sudden changes in mood, the--the erratic behavior...

Steffy: (Sighs)

Liam: And--and... and then she got defensive and... left.

Steffy: Okay. (Sighs) Well, that kind of sounds like Hope-- the storming out, anyway, Liam, I've said this a billion times. You know, she's a Logan, and they all have issues. She complicated your life before, and she's doing it again. (Sighs) I hate seeing this happen to you. I really do.

Hope: Amber, besides my mom, nobody knows that I am taking those pills.

Amber: Like I said, your secret is safe with me.

Hope: (Sighs)

Amber: You--you don't think it was the pills, though.

Hope: You know, my--my doctor said that it was fine if took them when I'm feeling anxious or... (Inhales sharply) You know, when I need to get myself under control. (Sighs) And they really have helped me a lot. I mean, look at what happened at the pool today. It just shows how much stress I'm under. (Sniffles) My fans are... calling me a hypocrite and an adulteress. I am being chased by paparazzi everywhere I go. My face is on the cover of every tabloid. And I am plastered all over the internet.

Amber: Hey, no such thing as bad publicity, huh? That's my mantra. I live by it.

Hope: (Sighs) It's kind of the kiss of death when you're someone like me. I'm supposed to be a role model. There are so many young women who are looking up to me, who are looking up to Hope for the Future, which isn't, you know, it's--it isn't just a fashion line. It isn't just about clothes. It is a lifestyle-- a lifestyle that I am... no longer living. The damage is done, you know? (Sniffles) My fans are turning their backs on me and, if I were them, I would do exactly the same thing.

Amber: Hey. You know what? You got one fan still in your corner, hmm?

Hope: (Sniffles) I'm just really disappointed in myself. I didn't stay true to my word, and I've been with a married man.

Amber: No, it's Liam, okay? That doesn't count.

Hope: (Sighs)

Amber: Steffy, she tricked him into marriage, and now she won't let him go.

Hope: (Sniffles) I wish I had waited. It was just a couple more months. Why didn't I wait?

Amber: No regrets, Hope. No regrets. That's my other mantra. You should--you should, uh, have that be yours, too.

Hope: I wish I could do that. I wish it were that easy for me that I could just say, "Its fine. It's--it's done, you know? It is what it is. I'm over it." But that's... I can't do that. I can't. I'm... I'm a mess. (Sniffles) And I'm starting to feel Steffy breathing down my neck and--and just waiting for me to screw things up with Liam, and I'm--I'm really afraid that I already have. (Sobs) What is wrong with me today? Why in the world would I blow off Liam? He was only trying to help me.

Amber: Yes, you know, everyone argues.

Hope: No, don't. I don't argue. I am not a fighter. I avoid conflict. I am embarrassed by my behavior today. Liam practically saved my life, and I just walked away from him. I was so rude. I have to apologize to him.

Amber: You know, I-I was just gonna say that. That's a really good idea. You should totally call him.

Hope: He just--he keeps asking what's wrong with me. (Sighs) (Sniffles)

Hope: Hey, hi, it's me.

Liam: You okay?

Hope: Yeah. Yeah. Um, but I really hate how we left things today. Uh, can we get together and talk?

Liam: Yeah. Yeah, sure. Uh, I'll see you at home?

Hope: Yeah, I'll see you soon. (Sighs)

Amber: What will you tell him?

Hope: (Inhales sharply) I have to come clean... about everything-- about how stressed out I've been, about seeing the psychiatrist, about taking the antianxiety pills. I-I have to tell him everything and just be completely honest. (Sighs) You don't think I should?

Amber: I think that's a really good idea, Hope.

Hope: (Sniffles) I'm just really afraid about how he's gonna take it.

Amber: Hey, he loves you. He will understand.

Hope: Yeah? But Liam hates secrets. He hates them. (Inhales sharply) (Sighs) Oh, what have I done?

Liam: Hope wants to talk.

Steffy: She probably feels bad about the way she treated you. Liam, she's unstable. She hasn't learned how to deal with life.

Liam: I just want some answers.

Steffy: Well, you know, um... (Sighs) You may not get them.

Liam: Yeah, but it was one disagreement. I mean, I don't want to overreact.

Steffy: And I don't want her to hurt you again. (Sighs) Oh, look, you, um... you know that I would... never walk away from you. I mean, you... you filed for divorce, and, uh... (Chuckles) I'm still wearing my ring. Some people, they may not-- they may not get that, but, um... that's how much I believe in us. (Sighs) Hope's a sweet girl, but it happened all over again-- the complications, the drama. Where's the smile?

Liam: (Chuckles)

Steffy: (Chuckles) Cha-cha-cha. Keep an open mind.

(Door opens)

Steffy: Hey, Mom.

Taylor: Oh, there you are.

Steffy: I assume you heard about Hope.

Taylor: Yes. Thomas told your father and me about it.

Steffy: Well, luckily, she's fine, but, uh, it could have been a lot worse.

Taylor: Did she ever go to the doctor and get checked?

Steffy: Liam wanted her to go, but she refused. They got in an argument.

Taylor: You talked to Liam?

Steffy: I knew it was only a matter of time before that relationship fell apart.

Taylor: Honey, you don't know that. Every couple has arguments.

Steffy: Okay. Mom, remember that day when Liam told me that he wanted to end our marriage?

Taylor: Vividly. You were heartbroken. And that was when I warned you--

Steffy: Mom, I made a vow that day to continue fighting for my marriage. I wish Hope the best, I honestly do, but she is not the right girl for Liam, and I think he's starting to realize that.

Taylor: Yes, but... (Sighs) Sweetheart, that day might never happen, and what if your divorce becomes final by then? I don't want you sitting around wasting your life.

Steffy: I'm--Mom, I'm--I'm not gonna give up. I mean, when I saw Liam today, the look in his eyes, I know he still loves me, and I know he's not happy with Hope. I mean, something's really off. He's on his way to talk to her right now, but... (Sighs) The mood he's in, things could be falling apart as we speak.

(Door opens)

Hope: (Gasps)

Liam: Uh, honey, I'm home.

Hope: Hi. Hey.

Liam: Hi.

Hope: Oh, good thinking.

Liam: Yeah, I, uh, I stopped at the sushi place down the road.

Hope: Oh, nice.

Liam: So... (Sighs) how are you?

Hope: Better... now that I have the chance to... (Sighs) apologize to you.

Liam: Yeah. You know, I was just worried about you. I--

Hope: I know. I know you were. And I am so sorry for the way I acted.

Liam: It was weird.

Hope: Yeah.

Liam: You weren't you.

Hope: Yeah. I know.

Liam: Mean--

Hope: I know. I haven't been myself lately, but I know-- I know you know that. I--you know.

Liam: You've been through a lot. I mean, you've been under a lot of stress, a lot of... a lot of pressure. Look at you. Hey. Hey.

Hope: (Sniffles)

Liam: It's okay. It's okay.

Hope: No, it's not. (Sniffles) every time I leave the house, I feel like a criminal.

Liam: Well, it's a damn witch hunt. It's not fair.

Hope: But they're right. Everything that they are saying about me, everything that they are shouting at me, they're right. I am a hypocrite.

Liam: No, no, no, no. Hope, don't do that.

Hope: Liam, I've been going through so much. You have no idea.

Liam: Okay, so talk to me. Tell me.

Hope: I've been... keeping something from you... a secret. And now that you hate secrets, and I'm so sorry. I should have been honest with you from the beginning.

Liam: God, what is it?

Hope: The reason that I haven't been myself... the reason I've been having all the mood swings... (Sniffles) Liam, all the stress, all the pressure that I've been under, it was really starting to get to me. (Sniffles) And it was so hard-- you have no idea how hard it's been. I've been... (Sniffles) I've been beating myself up, and I've been feeling really, really guilty. And I didn't know what to do with that. I didn't know... how I was supposed to handle that. So... (Sighs) I... (Sniffles) I've been seeing a psychiatrist... (Sniffles) and taking antianxiety medication, and that is how I've been getting through everything. (Sniffles) and I'm so sorry. I know I should have told you. (Sniffles) I know I should have told you. I-I know I shouldn't have pretended to be okay... (Sniffles) When I wasn't. I know that. And I did--this isn't how I wanted it to be. This isn't how I wanted us to be, and I'm just hoping that... (Sniffles) You can understand that, and you can forgive me. (Sniffles)
