Rick: (Laughs)
Liam: (Laughs)
Thomas: Are we--we can't use peanut butter 'cause the jelly--
Liam: Has--has Hope seen this--hey, Hope! Hope? Hope.
Stephanie: I missed you a whole bunch.
Steffy: I know. I missed you, too.
Stephanie: (Chuckles)
Steffy: Mm!
Stephanie: Well, we've got a lot to talk about.
Steffy: I know. Are you alone?
Stephanie: Well, you saw the cars, didn't you? No, the kids are all here.
Steffy: What kids?
Stephanie: Hope, Tom, Caroline.
Steffy: Wait, wait. What about Liam?
Stephanie: Yeah, he's here, too.
Liam: Hope! Hope! (Grunts) (Grunts) Watch her. Pick her up.
Thomas: I got... (Grunts)
Liam: Watch her legs. It's the water.
Thomas: Pick her up.
Liam: (Grunts) (Breathing heavily) Okay.
(Voices overlapping)
Liam: I think she's got water--
(Voices overlapping)
Hope: (Coughs)
Thomas: Good girl. It's all right. Yes. Good.
Dayzee: Don't do it, Amber. Do not buy drugs online without a prescription.
Amber: Look at all these web sites. I mean, they can't all be bogus.
Dayzee: If they're willing to sell you controlled drugs without a prescription, they are not legit.
Amber: It's not like I'm buying morphine.
Dayzee: It doesn't matter what you buy. You can't control what they put into it.
(Cell phone rings)
Dayzee: Oh, shoot. I mean it, Amber. Do not buy drugs online.
(Ring)
Dayzee: Hello? Oh, good.
Amber: (Sighs)
Hope: (Coughs, gasps) (Coughs) (Gasping)
Thomas: Relax. It's okay. Breathe. Okay.
Rick: Just breathe. Just breathe easy.
Thomas: There you go.
Hope: It's okay. Guys, I'm fine.
Liam: Shh. Yeah, yeah, you're fine. Take it easy.
Hope: Don't worry, guys. Don't worry, guys.
Thomas: All right, breathe. You're okay. You're okay.
Hope: I'm fine. It's okay.
Liam: (Mouths words)
Hope: Sorry, guys. (Laughs) I don't know what happened. It's okay.
Rick: Gave us a little scare there.
Hope: No, it's fine. Really.
Dayzee: Maybe we shouldn't... okay, bye. You know, I don't get it. You said you were taking allergy medicine, but you don't need a prescription for that.
Amber: I just wanted something a little stronger.
Dayzee: You sure that's what you're ordering, Amber?
Amber: I do not do drugs.
Dayzee: Yeah, but whatever it is, you need a prescription for it.
Amber: Why all the questions?
Dayzee: Because any controlled substance that you purchase online without a prescription can be dangerous.
Amber: No, you're talking about serious stuff like pain pills.
Dayzee: Yeah, pain pills, sedatives, antianxiety drugs-- all those can be.
Amber: I'm sure, if it was dangerous, the government would have shut it down.
Dayzee: (Laughs) "Www," Amber, means world wide web. You can access countries like Europe, Asia, or Mexico-- companies that don't have to have the same laws that we have to have.
Amber: I don't think I'd be able to order something that's really harmful.
Dayzee: (Sighs) You just don't know. That's the point. These online drug companies, you don't know what's going into--look, I've already said it, and I just don't think it's worth the risk.
Amber: Okay. I hear you.
Dayzee: I hope so.
Amber: I-I'm just-- I'm having trouble believing...
Dayzee: (Laughs)
Amber: That I could buy something that's poisonous.
Dayzee: And all this time, I thought you had street smarts.
Amber: People order medicine all the time from online pharmacies, Dayzee.
Dayzee: Yeah, but from legit pharmacies that require prescription. I don't think that's what you're doing, Amber.
Stephanie: So was there snow? Were you able to ski? Or did you just hike?
Steffy: Uh, actually, hiking. A lot of hiking and thinking.
Stephanie: (Chuckles) And now you're back and, um...
Steffy: Ready for whatever? Yeah. I saw Liam.
Stephanie: How was that?
Steffy: He said he missed me.
Stephanie: I'm sure.
Steffy: He didn’t beg me to come back, but I wasn't really expecting that. It would have been nice, though.
Stephanie: You're still wearing the wedding ring.
Steffy: Yes, I am. I'm not taking it off. What, does that make me desperate or committed? Maybe I should be committed.
Stephanie: Maybe you should be.
Steffy: Yeah.
Stephanie: (Chuckles) But don't lose your sense of humor about it.
Steffy: Oh, I'll be in trouble if I lost that.
Stephanie: That's the truth, so don't. (Sighs)
Steffy: I am a Forrester woman. We don't go down without a fight.
Stephanie: So what are your plans?
Steffy: (Inhales sharply) Plans, plans, plans. Uh... work. Work. I'm gonna just dive into some projects.
Stephanie: What are your plans?
Steffy: I haven't given up on Liam.
Stephanie: Yeah, well, he and, uh, Hope have, uh... (Sighs) (Laughs) Gosh, they've created quite a buzz, haven't they?
Steffy: Yeah. I'm not really surprised. Hope puts herself out there and now she has to pay a price.
Stephanie: You've seen her?
Steffy: Yeah, I saw her at work.
Stephanie: How was she? How did she seem?
Steffy: Actually, she's--she's doing amazingly well, better than I thought.
Stephanie: Well, that's interesting.
Steffy: What?
Stephanie: Well, her mother-- your mother said to me that she thinks that she's under so much pressure, she's got all this stress.
Steffy: No, that-- that's exactly what Liam says is that she has these-- these mood swings. One minute, she's just, you know, depressed, and then the next minute, she's carefree and loose.
Stephanie: Doesn't sound like the girl we know.
Steffy: Well, she was like that when I was talking to her-- totally unthreatened, like she didn't give a damn what anybody was saying about her. I wonder how she does it.
Liam: Come on inside.
Hope: Yeah. I'm fine, guys.
Liam: No, you should-- you need to sit. You need to relax.
Hope: I'm fine. Look, I just--I guess I haven't eaten today or something. I don't know. Low blood sugar maybe.
Rick: You don't remember?
Thomas: (Scoffs)
Hope: I, um... no, I was on the board, and I just slipped. I don't know. It all happened really fast.
Liam: Yeah, well, you scared us half to death.
Hope: I'm sorry.
Liam: Okay, well, we should get you to a hospital.
Hope: A hospital? No.
Liam: Yeah.
Hope: No way. No.
Caroline: Or to the doctor to get checked out.
Liam: Yeah.
Hope: Oh, yeah, that sounds like fun. Come on, guys, I just-- I slipped and fell into the pool. It's--it's no big deal, okay? Calm down. (Laughs)
Thomas: Why are you acting like this?
Hope: Okay, look, I promise, if I have... any symptoms, that you can take me to the E.R. or call 9-1-1 or have Mr. Spock beam me up or something.
Liam: Okay.
Hope: (Chuckles) It's really no big deal, okay? Why are you overreacting?
Caroline: All right, well, at the very least, we need to get some food in you.
Thomas: Right.
Liam: Yeah.
Thomas: There's sandwiches down by the pool. I'll be right back.
Liam: Thanks.
(Door opens)
(Door closes)
Hope: Look, I'm really sorry if I scared you guys, but, um, let's get back on track here, okay? We--I mean, we were having fun, right?
Liam: Um, can you guys give us a-a minute? I want to talk to Hope.
Rick: All right.
(Door closes)
Hope: (Clears throat)
Stephanie: You haven't met Caroline, but you're going to like her.
Steffy: Well, she's Liam's cousin. I'm sure I will.
Stephanie: And Tom's got his eye on her.
Steffy: So does Rick, from what I hear.
Stephanie: I know. Boy, would his mother love to get those two dating.
Steffy: Oh, Brooke always gets what she wants.
Stephanie: Not always.
(Door opens)
Steffy: Bro, hey!
Thomas: Hey. (Sighs)
Steffy: Uh, you're on a mission.
Thomas: Uh, Hope, she, uh, passed out on the diving board.
Steffy: What?
Stephanie: What? Do you have to call 9-1-1?
Thomas: No, no, she's fine, at least we think so anyway.
Stephanie: Oh.
Thomas: Uh, she said she has low blood sugar, so I'm just gonna get her some food.
Stephanie: Oh, okay.
Thomas: Hey, what are you doing? You want to come down and join us?
Steffy: Oh, no, thank you. I have better things to do than watch my husband tend to the wounded.
Thomas: Right. Well, Liam's pretty spaced out.
Stephanie: Why?
Steffy: What, is he worried about her?
Thomas: Oh, well, there's that, but...
Steffy: What?
Thomas: Hope, she's been acting pretty strange lately.
Caroline: You okay?
Rick: (Sighs) You know, that was close.
Caroline: Mm. I hope that Liam can convince her to get checked out.
Rick: Yeah. Normally, she wouldn't fight it.
Caroline: Why do you think she is?
Rick: I don't know. She's been acting kind of weird.
Caroline: Says the protective older brother.
Rick: (Inhales sharply) Little sisters can be a pain in the butt.
Caroline: You adore her. It's so obvious.
Rick: Adore? That's a-- that's a little strong, huh?
Caroline: It's sweet.
Rick: Oh, another one of my favorite adjectives.
Caroline: (Laughs)
Rick: What?
Caroline: You're just not like anybody I've ever met before.
Rick: So sweet?
Caroline: No. So complex. Devoted to your sister, loyal to Amber, a sharp business mind, a creative designer-- a true renaissance man. So what are your impressions of me?
Rick: (Sighs) Mona Lisa.
Caroline: Is that supposed to be a compliment?
Rick: Well, obviously, you're more beautiful than Mona Lisa and more blond.
Caroline: (Laughs) So how am I like Mona Lisa?
Rick: Mysterious-- it's hard to know what's going on behind that smile.
Caroline: My shield.
Rick: Yeah, against what?
Caroline: Too much exposure. I could never be like Amber.
Rick: Oh, trust me. No one will ever accuse you of that.
Caroline: Something to be said for transparency.
Rick: Yeah, you think?
Caroline: You know exactly where you stand.
Rick: I always thought women liked a man of mystery.
Caroline: Not always.
Rick: Yeah, well, I'm an open book.
Caroline: (Laughs) I don't think so.
Rick: What are you wondering?
Caroline: About you and Amber.
Rick: I thought we already had that conversation.
Caroline: We skimmed that conversation.
Rick: Well, yeah, it--it--it's complicated.
Caroline: No doubt. Your mother can't stand her.
Rick: That's an understatement.
Caroline: (Chuckles) Why does Brooke hate her so much? I mean, all I know is this--
Rick: Hey, hey. You know, the furthest thing from my mind right now is... Amber.
Caroline: She seems to have high hopes.
Rick: She's not the only one.
Liam: Why is this even an issue? I mean, we go, we have you checked out, we'll come right back here.
Hope: Because I don't want to spend the rest of my day at a doctor's office
Liam: Hope, look at me. You were limp in the water. You took a bad fall.
Hope: Not as bad as I fell for you.
Liam: Okay, get--stop. Stop. Can you be serious, please? I'm, like, genuinely worried about you.
Hope: Liam, I told you, if I have any symptoms, I will let you know.
Liam: That's not the only thing I'm worried about.
Hope: What?
Liam: Just the... (Sighs) the way you've been acting. I mean, you--you realize that if I hadn't seen you floating in the water, then--
Hope: Well, maybe I did it on purpose to have you save me.
Liam: Okay, I don't understand how you can joke about this.
Hope: You're my hero, Liam. The only problem is...
Liam: (Sighs)
Hope: I don't nee to be saved. What? What now? What are you thinking?
Liam: I just don't get this whole attitude of yours.
Hope: Liam, you're so overreacting to this. Just chill out.
Liam: You want me to chill out?
Hope: Yes, I do.
Liam: I'm not gonna chill out.
Hope: Look, Liam, so I fainted. I'm fine, okay? Calm down. Stop being so hyper about this.
Hope: (Groans) (Sighs) (Sighs) (Sniffles) (Clears throat)
Caroline: So I decided that it was the least I could do to honor my aunt Caroline.
Rick: Well, starting a cancer foundation, that's--that's pretty major.
Caroline: My only regret is that I didn't get to meet my aunt.
Rick: Everyone says that you're so much like her.
Caroline: I hear that a lot. You know, it's--it's so strange to feel so connected to somebody that you never met before.
Rick: Or that you don't know that well?
Caroline: Yes. That, too.
Rick: You know, there's a fix for that.
Caroline: Really?
Rick: Mm. You know, Caroline, I-- I really hope that we can spend a lot more time together.
Caroline: Well, we do work at the same company.
Rick: I mean, besides work.
Caroline: (Chuckles) You did promise to show me L.A. culture.
Rick: Yeah, well, you know, there's so much to do. You know, we have museums and--and art and, oh, we have some beautiful gardens.
Caroline: You think, because I'm a New Yorker, that I look down on your city.
Rick: No, you-- but the next New Yorker-- you know, L.A.'s got a lot going on for it, too. So what do you want to see first?
Caroline: La Brea tar pits.
Rick: Seriously?
Caroline: Yeah, I was... so fascinated as kid, reading about them, you know, all these ancient creatures just stuck in tar.
Rick: (Chuckles)
Caroline: Bones being preserved. I had a thing for dinosaurs.
Rick: Yeah, well, me, too. I mean, what--what kid didn't?
Caroline: (Laughs) Anyway... I promised myself that I'd go there someday.
Rick: So I'm fulfilling a childhood fantasy.
Caroline: I guess you are.
Rick: Mm-hmm.
Caroline: (Laughs)
Rick: So you know what? You know, we--we can go today. It's not that far.
Caroline: I think we'd better stick around, make sure Hope's okay.
Rick: Oh, I'm sure we'll know if there's a problem. How about a game of tennis, you know, the, uh, game of love?
Caroline: (Laughs) Okay. Yeah. I'd love to.
Rick: (Laughs)
Caroline: (Laughs)
Rick: Yeah?
Caroline: Yeah.
Rick: All right, let's do it.
Steffy: Caroline? Liam? (Sighs)
(Christina Perri's "Arms" playing)
I never thought that you would be the one to hold my heart, but you came around and you knocked me off the ground. From the start you put your arms around me, and I believe that it's easier for you to let me go. You put your arms around me, and I'm home
Steffy: Marry me.
How many times will you let me change my mind and turn around? I can't decide if I'll let you save my life or if I'll drown. I hope that you see right through my walls. I hope that you catch me 'cause I'm already falling. I'll never let a love get so close. You put your arms around me and I'm home
