Brooke: Look at Caroline. She's everything Amber isn't. And now that Caroline's here in town, there's no need to have Amber draw for you anymore. Just get her out your life today.

Caroline: So you and Hope are just waiting for the divorce to go through?

Liam: Right. (Sighs)

Katie: Where is Hope?

Liam: I don't know.

Hope: (Sighs) "Take as needed for anxiety. (Sighs) I don't know whey I even need these. Steffy's not here. (Sighs) (Sighs)

Brooke: I realize you have some sort of sense of loyalty to Amber.

Rick: We've been though a lot.

Brooke: (Sighs) A lot of heartache because of her. You don't owe her anything.

Rick: Except maybe a kidney.

Brooke: Are you forgetting what she's done, all of her lies?

Rick: (Sighs) She's a different person now, Mom.

Brooke: Well, then tell that to your sister. I mean, it wasn't that long ago when she caused Hope a lot of problems.

Amber: Yes, and I regret it. I know what I did was wrong. But whatever mistakes I've made in the past have nothing to do with what we're trying to accomplish now. All we want to do is be left alone to design. We get along. We work well together. I mean, why can't that be okay?

Brooke: She's doing everything she can to attach herself to you again. This is her scam. This is what she's been doing ever since she came into our lives.

Amber: You know what, Brooke? You can have our opinion, because Rick knows it isn't true. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go check on Rosey, because, in case you forgot, I have other priorities besides worming my way into your family.

Brooke: Oh.. (Sighs) So, who would you rather work with-- a life long con artist or a girl who started her own foundation?

Liam: I was wondering where you were.

Hope: Oh, um, I had to take a phone call.

Liam: You okay?

Marcus: What's up?

Liam: Hey, guys.

Hope: Hey.

Marcus: What's going on?

Dayzee: Look, I just wanted to say I'm sorry. I know you guys have been through a tough time, especially you, Hope.

Liam: Oh.

Hope: Uh.. (Sighs) Yeah, you know, it's been tough, but I'm handling it, you know?

Dayzee: I just have to know, how do you do it? I get stressed out, I reach for a coffee cup.

Hope: (Laughs)

Liam: Yeah.

Dayzee: It's sad.

Hope: (Laughing) It's funny. (Laughing)

Rick: Everything that you see below-- I'm sorry, I didn't mean to startle you-- is Los Angeles.

Caroline: It's beautiful. Don't tell any of my friends from New York I said that, I'm supposed to hate it.

Rick: Yeah, because we have culture? Oh, I know it is. You hate the traffic.

Caroline: No, it's the pizza.

Rick: Well, you know, we have pizza places that fly water in from Brooklyn and--to add to the dough. I could take you.

Caroline: Yeah?

Rick: Yeah, you know, I've spent lots of time away... (Sighs) But I always come back. I love this place. You know what? I'd, I'd like to show you around, prove to you that we have good pizza, even culture.

Caroline: I'd like that.

Amber: A lot of hot guys out here.

Caroline: I've never really been into the surfer dude thing but I could change. (Chuckles)

Amber: Mm, more of a country type, huh?

Caroline: No, um... I do not really have a type.

Amber: Look, you know, I-I want to warn you, things, you know-- it's kind of like a different scene out here. And we're more open. So you've been charmed by Rick, hmm?

Caroline: Uh, well,. (Laughs)

Amber: Yes, no worries. So have a lot of women, believe me. I mean, Rick-- he's been around, if you know what I mean. I mean, he's a playboy-- girlfriends around the globe, and when he's in L.A, I am one of them.

Caroline: One of them?

Amber: Ah. I mean, that's why we're so great together-- because I understand his lifestyle. You know, it's not everyone's cup of tea, but--

Caroline: His lifestyle?

Katie: How long before we rescue Caroline?

Bill: She might as well learn there's a seedy side of L.A.

Katie: Mm

Liam: (Scoffs)

Hope: What, you mean Amber? (Sighs) You know she's... she's not so bad.

Liam: Hope, how can you say that?

Hope: It's really, as--

Liam: No.

Hope: Really, no, think about is he's just--she's a pest. That's really all she is. She's like an annoying gnat that you just want to swat away from your face. You just want to swat them away from you, just get ' em out.

Stephanie: I think I hear Rosey crying.

Amber: Really?

Stephanie: Mm.

Amber: I just checked on her, and she was totally fine. And I will check again.

Stephanie: Watch out for her, she's really damaged goods.

Caroline: Amber?

Stephanie: Yeah. I love her. She makes some really bad choices in life, and I wouldn't want to see you caught up on one of them.

Ridge: Caroline, I wanted to tell you how moved I was by, your foundation and the video that you made. I think that her aunt would be proud.

Stephanie: Absolutely.

Ridge: Mother was a cancer survivor.

Caroline: Oh, I didn't realize.

Stephanie: Yes, well, and--and Ridge's, uh, sister Felicia as well. Sometimes it crops up in the family, which is all the more reason why I-I'm really so impressed with the work that you're doing.

Caroline: I love doing it, especially in Caroline's memory. Being here. (Sighs) I have this desire now to know her better.

Ridge: You want to know more? I can tell you. Come with me.

Caroline: This is what you wanted to show me?

Ridge: Yeah, it is. The guesthouse. This is where Caroline and I lived.

Caroline: And where she died.

Hope: Amber, is that adorable baby still sleeping?

Amber: She is.

Hope: (Gasps) Oh, I might have go wake her up with kisses. (Sighs)

Amber: Wow, you are in really good spirits.

Hope: Mm.

Amber: I'm amazed-- I mean, all this attention you're getting.

Hope: I'm-I'm not gonna let a negative press get to me.

Amber: Well. good for you.

Hope: Thank you.

Amber: Hey, Hope?

Hope: Hmm?

Amber: Um, you know, if that ever changes. You know, if you're ever feeling down whatever, you can call me if--if want to hang out. And I'd like to make up for the past and be a good friend to you.

Hope: (Sighs)

Brooke: Hope is too polite for her own good.

Stephanie: Well, someone could say something to Amber.

Dayzee: Is this what it's gonna be like at my wedding reception, everybody trying to avoid her?

Stephanie: What, you invited Amber?

Dayzee: She kind of invited herself. She is Rosey's mom.

Brooke: It's your day. Keep her out of it.

Hope: (Laughing loudly)

Brooke: Oh, well, at least somebody's having a good time.

Stephanie: Yeah.

Dayzee: (Laughs)

Brooke: I better go check on Hope.

Stephanie: Okay

Dayzee: Wow.

Marcus: So let me guess-- you guys are talking about wedding plans?

Stephanie: Maybe.

Eric: The, uh, the dress is--

Dayzee: Stephanie. No, sweetheart. The guest list.

Dayzee: Yep. (Sighs)

Brooke: Honey, are you all right?

Hope: What? Yeah, I'm fine.

Brooke: A little too much champagne?

Hope: No, I haven't had a drop. I'm just enjoying the party. (Giggles)

Brooke: Okay. Mm.

Hope: There was something I had to tell Katie. I'll be back.

Brooke: Oh.

Amber: See? I must not be all that bad. Hope and I had a conversation, and there was actual laughter.

Brooke: You caught her in a good mood. I know what you're trying to do-- butter her up, get her on your good side.

Amber: Scoffs) That is so ridiculous.

Brooke: Just stay away from our whole family.

Amber: Do you remember what it was like wanting to be part of this family? I mean, a caterer's daughter?

Brooke: (Sighs)

Amber: You saw how special the Forresters were, and you wanted to be a part of them. I mean, I would think if anyone could understand, it would be you.

Rick: Hey, is everything okay?

Brooke: Tell her to leave.

Amber: What?

Brooke: I want you out of here.

Amber: You know what, like it or not, Brooke, I am a member of this family, too, so I'm not going anywhere.

Caroline: So this is where it all happened, you and Caroline?

Ridge: Our life together short-lived as it was.

Caroline: I have always been so curious. And now here I am with the man who knew her best-- the great love of her life.

Ridge: Do you want to know more about her?

Caroline: Yes.

Ridge: I don't usually talk much about that time. (Sighs) It's kind of hard for me. But I will...for you.

Ridge: Caroline didn't want anyone to know that she was sick.

Caroline: Not you?

Ridge: That's-the kind of person she was. She didn't want any sympathy or tears, not even from her husband.

Caroline: You found out, right? I mean, she didn't die without you knowing.

Ridge: Oh, I found out eventually. I gave her this bracelet. (Sighs) Are you sure you want to know about this?

Caroline: Oh, I do. I want to know everything. (Sighs)

[Ridge remembers]

Caroline: It's lovely, Ridge.

Ridge: I think it's called a charm bracelet.

Caroline: Yes, it is, with a heart.

Ridge: For now, yes, a heart. It was the kind of gift that you add to every year.

Caroline: Add to?

Ridge: Charms that you--you add to a bracelet for, uh... for each anniversary. They make a lot of different charms, pretty much anything that you'd want to celebrate. When I found out, I gave her those charms.

Caroline: Which one?

Ridge: All of them... for every moment that we would never have.

Caroline: It's a tiny little house.

Ridge: This would have been our second anniversary charm.

Caroline: It's a little baby bootie. Why don't you give me the last one?

Ridge: It's a symbol.

Caroline: For infinity.

Ridge: Yeah, I thought that was appropriate.

Caroline: You did?

Ridge: Because it's going to last forever. We are going to last forever. (Sniffles)

Caroline: Can I ask you a question, Ridge?

Ridge: Sure, go ahead.

Caroline: Why are you giving all of these to me now instead of waiting for anniversaries?

Caroline: That's how you told her you knew.

Ridge: I gave you the charms for your bracelet now because, uh, I didn't want to wait for anniversaries.

Caroline: You didn't want to wait?

Ridge: One charm every anniversary would never fill up that bracelet at that rate.

Caroline: We eventually would.

Ridge: I don't think so.

Caroline: You know, don't you? (Sobs) You know.

Ridge: (Sighs) Don't waste a moment, Caroline. Life can be so fragile, so uncertain.  Caroline was... (inhales sharply) so beautiful. I loved her so much.

Caroline: (Sobs)

Ridge: She was the most amazing, special soul I have ever known in my life.

Caroline: (Sobs) (Sniffles)

Ridge: And she's so much like you. And now with you heading up her foundation and...

Caroline: (Sighs)

Ridge: (Sighs)

Caroline: (Sobs) (Sniffles) I want to show you something. (Sighs) (Sniffles) (Sighs) (Sniffles)

Ridge: (Voice breaking) The cancer ribbon. (Sobs)

Caroline: I got it for her.

Ridge: (Sobbing) That's so beautiful. Oh. My sweet Caroline. (Sobbing)
