Man: Mrs. Forrester, we can serve whenever the guests arrive.
Brooke: We'll start by serving champagne, and we'll also serve something without alcohol.
Man: Very good.
Brooke: Oh, and, Robert, please, pay special attention to Mr. and Mrs. Forrester today, because, obviously, this is their day. (Laughs)
Robert: We'll make it special.
Brooke: Thank you.
Ridge: Wow. You'd think we were having a wedding.
Brooke: Anniversary-- the next best thing.
Ridge: The place looks incredible.
Brooke: Oh... (Sighs) I had a lot of help. (Laughs)
Ridge: Ah, but you were the driving force, as always. This is gonna mean a lot to Mother and Dad and to me.
Brooke: Mm.
Liam: Hey. Nothing has changed.
Hope: Everything has changed.
Liam: No. No. Look, it--do you remember the way you felt last night? 'Cause I haven't seen you that happy in months. And you said nothing would get to you, and it didn't.
Hope: Yeah.
Liam: Right?
Hope: Yeah, last night was wonderful. (Sighs)
Liam: So, what, it wore off? (Scoffs)
Hope: (Clears throat)
Liam: Somebody caught us stealing a kiss, and it went viral. Big deal. That happens we're past it right now. I mean, focus on the way that you felt last night.
Hope: Okay.
Liam: Let's go celebrate. Come on.
Hope: Hey, Liam? You know, when--when Steffy sees this...
Liam: She's not here. Steffy's in Aspen.
Hope: Okay.
Liam: Come on.
Hope: (Sighs)
Steffy: (Sniffles) (Sniffles)
Stephanie: How are we going to cope with this? Eric, how do we get the family through this?
Eric: Oh, we hope, and--and we pray and... and we remember one very important thing-- this family has enough love to withstand anything, any adversity. And we have to rely on that. This Christmas, we have to bring it up from within, and it has to work for us. Our love is our only salvation. That was true then, wasn't it? I mean, look at us. We're still standing.
Stephanie: (Chuckles) Barely.
Eric: (Chuckles)
Brooke: Oh! Wow, the guests of honor!
Stephanie: (Chuckles)
Ridge: Happy anniversary, Mother.
Brooke: Hey!
Eric: Hi.
Stephanie: Thank you, sweetheart. Thank you so much.
Brooke: Happy anniversary, Stephanie.
Ridge: You too, old man.
Eric: Yeah, yeah.
Brooke: Oh, boy.
Stephanie: You shouldn't have done all of this.
Brooke: What do you mean? It wasn't a problem at all.
Stephanie: Such a fuss.
Brooke: Well, it's too bad. It's happening, so get used to it.
Thorne: Couple of the year!
Stephanie: (Chuckles)
Taylor: Oh!
Ridge: There you are.
Rick: Happy anniversary.
Stephanie: Thank you, Rick.
Taylor: Oh.
Stephanie: Didn't you guys have something better to do than come over here today?
Taylor: No. What could be better?
Thomas: Congratulations, Grandma.
Stephanie: Oh, thank you, Tom. Rick, thank you for coming.
Eric: Come on, come on. Come in. Come on look at you, huh? Good, good.
Stephanie: Hi, honey.
Marcus: Hey, hey! Let the party begin!
Stephanie: (Laughs)
Eric: Begin!
Marcus: Congratulations.
Stephanie: Thank you, Marcus. Thank you so much.
Eric: Yeah. Hey. Hello.
Marcus: Hey, Dad.
Dayzee: You look nice.
Stephanie: Oh, well, honey, you look gorgeous.
Ridge: Everybody grab a glass. Toast time.
Brooke: Don't you think we should wait for Hope and Liam?
Taylor: Do you really think they'll even show up? I wouldn't if I were them.
Brooke: They're family, Taylor.
(Indistinct conversation)
Liam: See, I don't-- I don't think we're too late.
Hope: (Sighs)
Brooke: I would like to start this celebration with a gift. To the two people who have given us so much-- I hope this year is the best year ever for both of you together.
Stephanie: (Chuckles)
Eric: Thank you.
Stephanie: What did she do?
Eric: I don't know.
Stephanie: (Gasps)
(Voices overlapping)
Eric: Brooke, that's beautiful.
Stephanie: Oh. That's so nice that's great. Thank you.
Eric: Thank you. Thank you.
Rick: That's great.
(Indistinct conversation)
Stephanie: (Chuckles) You look wonderful.
Felicia: I wouldn't have missed it for the world, do you know that? Do you know how much this means to everybody, do you?
Eric: No.
Felicia: Mwah. Oh, and Brooke called me, but she told me to keep it a surprise. She made me swear.
Stephanie: I bet she did.
Felicia: Mm.
Brooke: Oh, I'm so glad you could make it.
Pam: Does--does Stephanie know?
Brooke: No, it's a surprise.
Pam: Yeah, like a heart attack. I'm sure she'll be thrilled.
Brooke: She will be. You're her sister. She loves you.
Pam: I wasn't exactly a very good sister when I stole those designs, was I?
Stephanie: Brooke, I was just wondering, uh-- oh, Pam.
Pam: It was her idea. I-I didn't think I should come, Steph, but...
Brooke: This is a very special family event, and Pam is certainly family.
Stephanie: She isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer. Maybe this will be the exception.
Pam: (Scoffs) What--what are you saying?
Stephanie: Honey, we're too old to carry on with grudges
Pam: I am so, so sorry for what I did. I-I-I wanted to, like, call you and then--
Stephanie: Pam. Pam. Pam! Shh.
Stephanie: We both had enough loss this year. We can't lose each other.
Pam: No?
Stephanie: No.
Pam: Oh, thank you, Steph.
Stephanie: (Chuckles)
Taylor: Oh, honey, we wish you were here, too. Look who's here with me right now.
Ridge: Hey, Steffy.
Steffy: Hey, is Grandma around?
Ridge: I just saw your grandmother. Hold on. Mother? It's Steffy.
Stephanie: Oh. Excuse me. I'll be back. Hi, sweetheart. How are you?
Steffy: Happy anniversary.
Stephanie: Oh, well, thank you, honey. This would be a hipper party if you were here.
Steffy: It's best this way for now, being here in Aspen without Liam. But you know what? You are my inspiration, advising me not to give up on my marriage, just like you and Granddad, right? I love you.
Brooke: That day when you rode up on horseback, I'll always remember.
Ridge: You were the most beautiful vision I'd ever seen. You still are.
Brooke: Mm.
Ridge: Mm.
Brooke: Mm.
Thomas: (Clinks glass) Excuse me, everybody. A couple of toasts from the wiser generation.
(Voices overlapping)
Thomas: Rick, your floor.
Rick: Me?
Thomas: Yeah.
Rick: To the only two people I know who could have their wedding one week and their anniversary the next.
Stephanie: That's because we like to party.
Rick: But seriously, Dad, Stephanie, to the best years ahead.
Eric: Thank you.
Thomas: Cheers.
All: Cheers.
Eric: I have given, uh, many, many toasts, as you can all attest.
Marcus: Yes.
Stephanie: Uh, yes.
Eric: Um, very few words need to be spoken on, this, uh, special event. All the joy and love that we have in our lives is here in this room with us right now. To you...
(Glasses clink)
Eric: You're the foundation of this family.
Stephanie: Oh, honey. Thank you. Oh, I guess I have to say something now.
Eric: Oh, yes. We're waiting for you.
Stephanie: No. Oh, I'll try to keep it, uh, shorter. We've raised a bold and beautiful family.
(Glasses clink)
Stephanie: And I hope that we're around long enough to see all of our children and grandchildren happy, loved, and contented with their lives. And to you.
(Glasses clink)
Stephanie: Eric, you have always been the love of my life.
All: (Laughing)
Rick: Hear, hear!
Felicia: Whoo!
Thomas: (Whistles)
Pam: Whoo-hoo!
Thorne: Cheers!
Stephanie: Cheers.
Eric: Cheers, everybody. Thank you.
(Glasses clinking)
Brooke: I'll see you in the bedroom.
Ridge: Yes, you will.
Brooke: Big boy.
Stephanie: Some things never change.
Brooke: Stephanie, I know you love me. Mwah!
Stephanie: Okay, you were right.
Brooke: I knew you'd come around.
Stephanie: It seems like such a long time ago. (Sighs)
Brooke: Yes, it does.
Brooke: I love you, Stephanie.
Stephanie: Oh!
Brooke: Happy anniversary.
Stephanie: (Chuckles)
Liam: How is it in Aspen?
Steffy: So many memories of our wedding and our... (Sighs) Our honeymoon. I'm sure things would be easier if I had given you an annulment, but I'm glad I didn't. Don't forget me. I love you.
Ridge: That party's so long ago. And you were catering.
Brooke: How could I forget? You came up behind me...
Ridge: Make it scotch on the rocks. She's here. Excuse me. I've been waiting for you, darling.
Brooke: Were you talking to me?
Ridge: I thought... I thought you were someone else.
Brooke: Sorry.
Ridge: Me, too.
Brooke: And the rest is history.
(Piano music playing)
Stephanie: I didn't know you had entertainment planned.
Eric: (Playing "The Folks Who Live on the Hill")
Eric: Someday we'll build a home on a hilltop high, you and I cozy and new a cottage that two can fill, and we'll be pleased to be called the folks who live on the hill. Someday we may be adding a thing or two, a wing or two, we will make changes as any family will, but we will always be called the folks who live on the hill. Our veranda will command a view of meadows green, the sort of view that seems to want to be seen, and when the kids grow up and leave us, we'll sit and look at that same old view just we two, Darby and Joan who used to be Jack and Jill, the folks who like to be called what they have always been called, the folks who live on the hill. Happy anniversary.
Stephanie: Happy anniversary.
