Liam: Okay, but we need to strike the article about the tweezers. It's like borderline offensive. Uh, uh, gotta-- gotta call you back. Something more important came up.
Hope: (Giggles)
Liam: Hi.
Hope: Oh, hi, yourself. (Giggles)
Liam: (Chuckles)
Hope: Mm.
Liam: How was your, uh, how was your appointment?
Hope: What?
Liam: Where you were when I called you earlier.
Hope: Oh, yeah. Uh, uh, fine. It was fine.
Liam: Good. Good. Uh, are you ready to go? 'Cause we're gonna be late to Marcus's thing at Dayzee's. You'd think he could wait until the game night tomorrow, but... unless...
Hope: What?
Liam: Didn't Rick say something about there being an opening at Forrester International?
Hope: Y-yeah.
Liam: Do you think Marcus is headed back?
Hope: (Sighs)
Stephanie: That's so sweet.
Dayzee: (Laughs)
Stephanie: (Laughs)
Dayzee: We had to mark the occasion, Stephanie.
Leilani: A person doesn't get married every day.
Anthony: Then again, some do.
Dayzee: Oh.
Leilani: Hmm.
Stephanie: Some do, yes.
Tony: Congratulations.
Stephanie: Thank you so much. Thank you so much. It's very kind of you.
Anthony: Oh, you are so welcome.
Stephanie: Okay.
Dayzee: Aw, this is such a great deal. I mean, we had to do something when we heard.
Stephanie: Thank you, honey.
Dayzee: No, thank you, seriously, for everything-- the coffee shop...
Stephanie: Oh, shh.
Dayzee: Helping me down at the mission-- no, it is my turn-- and especially for introducing me to Marcus.
Stephanie: Yeah? Is this something serious?
Dayzee: Yeah, I mean, I've never felt this way, Stephanie, about anyone.
Stephanie: Really?
Dayzee: (Chuckles)
Marcus: Hey, girl.
Dayzee: Hi.
Marcus: How you doing? So I hear that Dad finally made an honest woman out of you, huh?
Dayzee: (Laughs)
Stephanie: You know, I think I'm gonna get those adoption papers checked, make sure they're really legal.
Dayzee: You probably should.
Marcus: I guess everybody's full of surprises this year.
Dayzee: (Laughs)
Stephanie: Uh-huh.
Marcus: I guess that runs in the family. How you doing?
Dayzee: Good. Hi.
Marcus: Mwah. Mm.
Katie: Hi. I know I'm early.
Brooke: Yeah, the reservation isn't for another hour, so--
Katie: I know. I just, um, how's Hope? (Sighs)
Brooke: Why do you ask?
Katie: I just got the feeling that there might be some issues with her and Liam. I mean, he assured Bill and me that everything was fine, but I just wanted to make sure that it is.
Marcus: Are--are--nothing. Are--are Hope and Liam here yet?
Dayzee: (Giggles)
Stephanie: You know, I'm not happy about that situation. Well, he's still her husband, Steffy's husband.
Dayzee: Oh, you know what else I'm thankful for this year is your newfound open-mindedness and patience, mm-hmm. (Giggles) Before you got here, I was just telling Stephanie how thankful I am for her and all she's done.
Marcus: Oh. Uh, my--my turn?
Dayzee: Yes.
Marcus: Yes, and it's because of you that I have you in my life.
Dayzee: Oh.
Stephanie: Oh.
Marcus: And there's not enough thanks to go around for that, mm-hmm.
Dayzee: Aw.
Katie: Hope came to me for advice.
Brooke: I know.
Katie: I would feel awful if I said something that caused problems between her and Liam.
Brooke: This doesn't leave this room. Nobody else knows, but the night that Liam and Hope shared together, their very first night, it didn't really turn out like they envisioned.
Katie: Oh, Brooke, come on. It was her first time.
Brooke: No, I know. I know. It just... (Sighs) It was more than that. She was very upset and very anxious. So we went to see a therapist. But she's doing much better.
Katie: Are you sure?
Brooke: Yeah. She was here, and she seemed very happy. She and Liam are going to be fine.
Hope: A good-bye party for Marcus? No, no, that-- that can't be it. I would have hear something around the office.
Liam: Well, you know, the way things change these days, you never know.
Hope: Huh.
Liam: Come on. Let's go.
Hope: Oh.
Liam: (Sighs)
Hope: Oh.
Hope: Wow.
Liam: Yeah, 1.2 million readers will be saying the same thing next week.
Hope: (Scoffs)
Liam: You don't like it?
Hope: No, no. I do. I do. It's just, um... (Sighs) It's just my message...
Liam: Hope.
Hope: And what you and I are doing...
Liam: I--
Hope: No, I know. I know. But separated or not... (Sighs) You are still Steffy's husband. And I just feel like a lot of those readers won't accept what we're doing.
Liam: We're not gonna tell them.
Hope: I... (Laughs) I know. It's--I-I just really don't want to upset anyone, and I really don't want to hurt the company. I still believe in the message, just not the situation that Steffy has put us in.
Liam: (Chuckles)
Hope: So I think that we need to be mindful when we're in public. Let's practice.
Liam: Okay.
Hope: So, okay, so behind closed doors, we can do stuff like this.
Liam: Mm. Okay.
Hope: Okay, got that? Okay.
Liam: Uh-huh. Mm-hmm.
Hope: But in public... (Sighs) Like this. Okay?
Liam: Mm-hmm.
Hope: We can handle that. We can handle it, you think?
Liam: I don't know. I'm a slow learner.
Hope: Mm. Interesting. Well, you, um, you know what they say... practice makes perfect. Marcus, hey.
Maggie: Mom, look, it's Hope Logan.
Hope: I'm good.
Dayzee: It's good to see you.
Hope: Good, good, good, good, good. Stephanie, hi.
Stephanie: Hi. Hi. How are you?
Hope: (Clears throat)
Marcus: So where's Liam?
Hope: Oh, he's, uh, he's on his way. We're just being discreet.
Stephanie: Oh, yeah. Wouldn't want paparazzi to get a picture of you running around with a married man, now would we?
Dayzee: (Clears throat)
Liam: Hey, everybody.
All: Hi.
Marcus: Glad you could make it.
Liam: Thank you.
Hope: (Chuckles)
Stephanie: Your wife's plane landed safely in Aspen, in case you didn't know it.
Liam: Uh, I-I had heard that. Thank you.
Stephanie: Oh, well, good.
Hope: (Sighs)
Liam: So what is this that couldn't wait?
Hope: Yes, please tell Liam he's crazy, and that this isn't some good-bye party for you.
Liam: No, no, don't do that. No, that is not what I said.
Dayzee: What?
Marcus: (Speaks indistinctly)
Liam: What I said...
Hope: No, oh, here come excuses. Don't listen to him. Don't listen to him.
Woman: Honey, isn't that Liam Spencer?
Maggie: Yeah. Wait, what are they doing together? The wedding never happened. He's still married to Steffy.
Katie: So, um... does Liam know about Hope's therapy?
Brooke: No. She doesn't want him to, and I'm respecting her wishes.
Katie: Secrets can cause problems.
Brooke: (Sighs) She was very serene this morning.
Katie: Well, I'm glad her first therapy session went so well. I'm glad you were there for your daughter.
Brooke: Well, Stacy-- Dr. Barton thinks that Hope's gonna be able to work through these issues. She loves Liam, and she wants to have a life with him.
Katie: She's been through a lot to get here-- all of Steffy's interference and my husband's. God, I just wish he had stayed out of it.
Brooke: It goes back further than that-- born into a scandal, a shameful biological father, a mother who was a sex symbol...
Katie: (Sighs)
Brooke: A photographer who was trying to push himself on her, and he would have if Nick didn't get there in time.
Katie: Thank God he did.
Brooke: And then, of course, the incident with Oliver, her first love-- that horrible incident at that graduation party, which I can't believe that she forgave me for. (Sighs)
Katie: Yeah, Hope has an awful lot to deal with. You might not want to rush this therapy.
Brooke: You're right. Dr. Barton gave her some anti-anxiety medication. Now Hope and I were really skeptical about it, but Dr. Barton said that it should be fine, if she was feeling a little overwhelmed, to be able to take a little.
Katie: Gosh, I-it just seems like she's doing battle with herself. I mean, she's in therapy... (Sighs) anti-anxiety medication, and she's not talking to Liam about any of it. I just have a bad feeling about this.
Brooke: (Sighs)
Katie: I don't think it's good for Hope to keep this from Liam. She shouldn't be doing this behind his back.
Brooke: Hope will tell him when she's ready. We can't risk Bill finding out or, God forbid, Steffy.
Katie: (Sighs)
Brooke: This was just a little bump in the road. There's really nothing to be concerned about. Hope is gonna be just fine. And remember, this is just between you and me.
Hope: Thanks.
Leilani: You're welcome.
Liam: Thanks.
Leilani: You're welcome.
Marcus: Okay. So I bet you guys are all wondering why I asked you all here.
Stephanie: Mm-hmm.
Hope: Yes!
Liam: Yes.
Marcus: Okay, well, there comes a time in a man's life where he realizes what truly matters. And for me, I realized that family and friendship are the only thing that does matter.
Dayzee: Aw.
Marcus: You see, when I came to L.A., I met my family, and then me becoming a dad myself.
Dayzee: (Chuckles)
Marcus: (Chuckles) But all along the way, I had the love and support of my friends and family. I mean, I'm a very, very lucky man... especially you, girl. You put my head on straight.
Dayzee: Somebody had to.
Hope: (Laughs)
Stephanie: (Laughs)
Marcus: I mean, I got so tired of just dating model after model after model.
Hope: Okay.
Stephanie: Oh!
Dayzee: Okay. All right. Wow. You got a point to this?
Marcus: Yes. Yes, I do.
Dayzee: (Laughs)
Marcus: Our friendship-- oh, excuse me, here...
Hope: (Laughs)
Stephanie: That's from Texas, right?
Marcus: Yes. Our friendship turned to real love. I mean, you're beautiful genuine, you're good with Rosey.
Dayzee: (Chuckles)
Marcus: You give yourself more to others than anybody I ever met. You inspire me. You've been through a lot in your life, more so than anybody else I've ever known. But here you are, following your goal, feeding one person at a time, making this whole place better for everyone. I mentioned Rosey earlier. So I was out shopping, and...
Hope: Aw.
Marcus: I got this.
Hope: (Laughs)
Marcus: Cute, right?
Hope: Yeah.
Stephanie: Absolutely.
Marcus: Mm-hmm. Also when I was out shopping, I found... this.
Dayzee: Marcus.
Marcus: And I also found... this.
Liam: Oh.
Dayzee: Oh.
Marcus: And you know, I couldn't think of a reason why not to get it. Dayzee Leigh, our friendship and our love has been the most fulfilling of my life.
Dayzee: (Sighs) Oh, my God.
Stephanie: (Gasps) Oh, wow. (Laughs)
Dayzee: What? (Laughs)
Marcus: Come on back up.
Dayzee: Okay. (Laughs) (Sighs)
Marcus: (Sighs) I love you so much. Will you do me the honor in becoming my wife?
Dayzee: (Laughs)
Marcus: Will you marry me?
Dayzee: Wow, this is a day for surprises.
Hope: (Laughs)
Dayzee: I'm sorry. I just never expected this. (Sighs) I mean, one minute, I'm living my life just trying to help others, and Stephanie shows up with that scarf. (Laughs) And then I had an extra set of hands, and I was so focused, and then... and then you came along. (Sniffles) And you messed all that up.
Hope: (Laughs)
Dayzee: But you taught me that life... (Sighs) has to have a healthy balance of work and charity and love. Marcus, you make me smile, love, and live more than I ever thought possible. (Sniffles) And I would be honored to be your wife. Yes, I'll marry you.
Hope: Whoo!
Stephanie: (Laughs)
Hope: Whoo!
Dayzee: (Laughs) Oh, my gosh. It is so big. (Laughs)
Stephanie: (Laughs)
Hope: Whoo-hoo! (Laughs)
Katie: Maybe I should have bolstered Hope's beliefs instead of letting her question them. I--maybe it would have been better for them to wait.
Brooke: Hope and Liam are in love. They shouldn't have to put their lives on hold because of a technicality.
Katie: Well, I agree, but... (Sighs) Now she's hiding her relationship with Liam from the public, and she's hiding the fact that she's in therapy from him. (Sighs) I'm getting anxious just thinking about it.
Dayzee: Oh.
Marcus: Yeah.
Dayzee: Thank you.
Marcus: Sparkling cider, right?
Anthony: That's right.
Hope: Thank you, thank you.
Stephanie: Of course.
Anthony: It is my pleasure, Dayzee. You guys deserve it.
Stephanie: Congratulations.
Hope: Cheers. (Laughs)
Dayzee: Thank you.
Stephanie: Much happiness.
Dayzee: Mmm. I'm gonna say it again. This ring is gorgeous.
Hope: It is. It is.
Dayzee: I'm sorry. All this wedding talk-- I-I don't want to--
Liam: No. Are you kidding?
Hope: Oh, God, no. Are you kidding? No, no, no, no, no. You just got engaged. This is your day.
Liam: Really? Yeah, you guys deserve it. We're--I mean, we're just as committed. It's not--
Hope: Yeah.
Woman: How could you?
Hope: Excuse me?
Woman: I can't believe you would lie.
Hope: I'm sorry. I don't understand.
Liam: Uh...
Woman: My daughter and her friends look up to you. You're role model for young women everywhere, at least that's how you seemed.
Liam: Whoa.
Hope: Uh, please, let me explain. I--
Woman: We have been reading in the magazines all about your back-and-forth with Liam. So what's this? Did he and Steffy get divorced?
Hope: Um...
Liam: N-no.
Hope: No, not--not yet.
Woman: Then why is my daughter watching you kiss a married man?
Liam: I-I'm sorry. Ma'am, this is--this is much more complicated--
Woman: Don't defend her. You're just as bad. You have a wife.
Liam: Okay.
Woman: Did you forget your own message?
Hope: No.
Woman: Self-respect, restraint, becoming a better generation-- where is that Hope Logan?
Hope: I--no, I, uh, I really--I get where you're coming from. I really do. It's just there's-- there's more to it. I mean, Liam, he is getting a divorce. He is. It's just--it's not final yet.
Woman: So wait. Gosh. Now where have I heard that before?
Hope: (Sighs)
Liam: Okay.
Maggie: Please, Mom, let's just go.
Woman: You are a fraud, hypocrite. All the girls who look to you will be as disappointed as my Maggie.
Hope: I'm--
Woman: You are just another example of what not to do.
Liam: You've got to be kidding me.
Hope: I'm sorry. Mag--Maggie, is it? Let me explain to you--
Woman: Oh, no. She's heard enough of your lies.
Marcus: Okay, ma'am, I think it's time for you to leave.
Woman: Steffy Forrester is his wife. He is still married. What you're doing-- it's adultery. You are committing adultery.
Hope: I... (Sighs)
Woman: Come on, Maggie, let's go.
Hope: (Sniffles) (Sobbing)
Liam: Oh.
Hope: Oh.
Liam: That was--
Dayzee: It's okay.
Liam: That was insane.
Hope: Oh, my God. No. I--this is exactly what I was afraid would happen.
Liam: No, no, no, do not listen to her. That was so over the top. That was ridiculous.
Hope: No. No, it wasn't. Don't. I just, um, I need a minute, okay? I just--
Liam: All right, Hope, I--
Hope: (Sighs) (Breathing heavily)
Woman: You're a role model for young women everywhere. Self-respect, restraint, becoming a better generation-- where is that Hope Logan? You're a fraud and a hypocrite. You are committing adultery... adultery... adultery... adultery... adultery... adultery... adultery...
Hope: (Sighs)
Woman: Adultery... adultery... adultery... adultery... adultery... adultery... adultery...
Hope: (Breathing heavily) (Sighs)
