Hope: (Laughs) Oh! I-I can hardly believe this.

Liam: So Steffy really signed the annulment papers. I-I-I-I...

Rick: Right in front of me.

Hope: (Gasps)

Liam: Why would she do that?

Stephanie: Are you celebrating or drowning your sorrows?

Steffy: Mm, I'm congratulating myself. Join me?

Stephanie: You bet.

Steffy: Oh, good.

Stephanie: What am I gonna congratulate you on?

Steffy: Um... (Sighs) Well.. I made the right choice.

Stephanie: And what choice would that be?

Steffy: Ooh.

Stephanie: Ooh, bubbles.

Steffy: The annulment papers.

Stephanie: Oh, your father told me you threw them away.

Steffy: Yeah, but, uh, Rick brought a fresh set.

Stephanie: Rick?

Steffy: Yeah. And he said he couldn't stand watching an incredible woman just waste her time with a man who doesn't appreciate me.

Stephanie: I hope you tore those papers up and threw them right in his face.

Steffy: I signed them.

Rick: You wanted it signed. It's signed.

Liam: What? Chuckles)

Hope: Rick, I don't know what you said to her, but I-I don't care. I am just so relieved. (Laughs)

Liam: (Chuckles) I know.

Hope: You know what? Aunt Katie told me not to give up. She told me not to. But just--I didn't think that Steffy would ever come around.

Rick: I know.

Liam: Neither did I. I--how did you do it?

Rick: Well, you know, Steffy and I, we-- we have a history. I just--I reminded her that, uh, Liam's not the only guy who's on the market.

Brooke: That is wonderful. (Laughs)

Liam: Yeah. (Chuckles)

Hope: Okay, so how soon can we get to the courthouse? (Laughs)

Brooke: Uh, the courts are closed.

Hope: Okay, okay. Well, then what about the, uh, the minister? Can we call him?

Rick: Well, you know, or there--there's always Vegas, right?

Hope: No, no.

Rick: You know, if you guys get on the road right now.

Hope: Not Vegas, no.

Liam: Uh...

Rick: Oh, come on, Liam. He seems like a Vegas guy. What do you say?

Hope: Liam.

Liam: Okay...I'm excited, too. I'm excited, too. But, um, I-I just don't think we should jump the gun here. I mean, let's just make sure that this whole thing is legit before we start making plans, ok?

Rick: Hey, your marriage to Steffy's over. It ended when she signed on the dotted line. She's moved on. Look, she doesn't want to be in limbo either, you know? She, um...

Brooke: She what?

Liam: (Whispers) What?

Rick: She punked me.

Hope: What?

Liam: Huh?

Rick: I'm sorry, sis.

Brooke: Let me see. This is a joke to her?

Rick: Well, she's not gonna get away with it.

Stephanie: You signed "Loser" on the document?

Steffy: And that's what he is if he actually think I'd fall for his act.

Stephanie: He never looked at the papers, so he never realized what you'd done?

Steffy: Nope. He just grabbed the papers and ran.

Stephanie: (Chuckles)

Steffy: Oh, God, he is so cocky, just to think that I would, like, fall for him, and we'd go back to the way we used to be. You know, I have to admit, some of the things he said were very flattering. But I'm not going to annul my marriage. Liam means way too much to me.

(Glasses clink)

Rick: Too bad for you. He's in love with my sister. And believe me when I say, he's just as ticked off about this as I am.

Stephanie: So how's it going so far, smarty-pants?

Rick: I came to talk to Steffy.

Stephanie: Yeah, to apologize, I hope.

Rick: Apologize?

Stephanie: Yeah. For trying to manipulate her.

Rick: She's the one that's playing games. I told my sister you signed those annulment papers.

Steffy: Huh, without looking at them first? I expect my employees to show a little more attention to detail, Mr. Forrester.

Rick: I got her hopes up. She was very excited.

Steffy: Oh, and you're blaming me?

Rick: I thought we had an understanding.

Steffy: Oh, I understood you perfectly.

Stephanie: Watch out. Whenever somebody doesn't do exactly what he wants, he starts the sweet talk.

Rick: I meant every word.

Stephanie: (Chuckles) She's on to you, Rick. Cut the charade.

Steffy: Grandma, um, may I talk to Rick for a second? Don't worry. I can handle him.

Stephanie: I have no doubt about that. Just remember one thing. He always has an agenda.

Rick: What do you think, Steffy? That I have an agenda?

Steffy: What you have is a little sister with a big problem. And you're trying to solve it for her. But it's not going to work.

Hope: She's playing with us.

Brooke: (Sighs) It galls me, too, sweetheart.

Hope: To her, this is all just a game, and right now, she's winning.

Brooke: Well, this can't go on indefinitely.

Hope: Six months is forever, Mom. I want to be married. I want to be a wife to the man that I love.

Brooke: I know you do, sweetheart.

Hope: Yeah, but you know what? But Steffy's not gonna let that happen, and I-I am so frustrated right now.

Liam: Hope, Hope, listen.

Hope: (Sighs)

Liam: It's gonna work out, okay? The divorce papers are signed. They're filed. The days are just gonna tick by.

Hope: Yeah, tick tock, tick tock. There are a lot of seconds in 180 days.

Liam: Okay, all right. I know that you're upset, but--

Hope: Upset? Upset? Liam, no, I am so far past upset, I am. Liam. Aren't you?

Liam: Okay, well, this is not doing you any good.

Hope: Okay, so... at--what do we do? How do we get through to her?

Brooke: Maybe Rick can do something.

Liam: You know what, Brooke, I'm not comfortable with that. Okay, I'm not.

Hope: Well, you know what?

Brooke: (Sighs)

Hope: Somebody has to try.

Brooke: We all tried to reach her, and we couldn't. So maybe Rick would be able to get--

Liam: He blew it, guys, okay? He blew it, all right? She saw him coming a mile away, and she signed "Loser" right there.

Hope: Okay, then what you want to do? Just sit back and wait?

Liam: I just don't think that--that Rick should go in and try to, like, manipulate the situation. That's all.

Hope: Oh, my God. You're defending Steffy.

Liam: N-no. (Sighs)

Brooke: Honey, I don't think that's what he's going to do.

Liam: No, it's not. I don't like being in this situation either.

Hope: Then do something about it, Liam. Do something, please.

Liam: (Sighs) Brooke, would you mind giving us a minute?

Hope: (Sighs) I can't do this. I cannot live like this. I can't stand it. We have to get the annulment.

Steffy: You're a good big brother. Not much of a con man.

Rick: It wasn't a con.

Steffy: God, my grandmother was right. You just don't let up.

Rick: I think that you'd appreciate that in a colleague.

Steffy: Employee.

Rick: Yeah, see, that's funny. Your little annulment joke, uh, not so much.

Steffy: No?

Rick: You could have just told me that you weren't gonna sign.

Steffy: Really? Would that have shut you up?

Rick: Do you have problems with compliments, Steffy?

Steffy: I have problems with being manipulated. Move on with me-- like I was actually gonna fall for that.

Rick: You do need to move on, Steffy.

Steffy: And that kiss...

Rick: I thought that kiss was pretty hot.

Steffy: Well, you overplayed your hand.

Rick: Oh? You didn't stop me from kissing you. So... I'm gonna take that as a good sign.

Liam: I tried changing Steffy's mind. You know that.

Hope: I know. I know. But that didn't work, so now somebody else has to.

Liam: Okay, well, Rick was not be able to do the trick.

Hope: How do you know? They have a lot of history.

Liam: Because, trust me, Steffy is not as shallow as you think she is.

Hope: What does that mean, Liam.

Liam: It just means that emotionally, she's not so easily swayed.

Hope: Liam, that is because she wants to go after you every chance she can get.

Liam: I know. I know.

Hope: And it is driving me crazy. Liam, I want you. No I want to be with you in every way.

Liam: I want you, too.

Hope: I know, but I made a pledge, and--and--and waiting until marriage means something to me, okay? And--and I'm just doing it for the people who look up to me. I'm also doing it for myself. But right now, our lives are on hold because of Steffy. Being spiteful and vindictive, because she is trying to ruin everything that we have together.

Liam: I know. I know. She can't. She can't. She can't do that.

Hope: (Sighs)

Liam: She will never be able to do that. Okay?

Hope: (Sighs)

Stephanie: You've gotta talk to that son of yours.

Brooke: Why? What happened?

Stephanie: He's down in the photo studio trying to con Steffy again.

Brooke: I don't know. What you think you've heard.

Stephanie: I heard that he tried to get her to sign annulment papers.

Brooke: And Steffy made it seem like she had.

Stephanie: Clever girl. Why can't you just leave her alone?

Brooke: (Sighs)

Stephanie: Look, I don't know what Rick thinks he has in mind, but it isn't gonna work. She's still in love with Liam.

Brooke: Her marriage to Liam is a farce. And she just can't accept that. She thinks that signing the annulment papers would be an admission of guilt, and Rick is just trying to help her see it another way, figure out another way to move on. He went there as a friend. That's all.

Stephanie: They're not friends. Listen, what transpired between them happened a long time ago, and it's been over for a long time.

Steffy: I still can't believe my dad thinks we can work together.

Rick: It's a done deal.

Steffy: Oh, I can change his mind.

Rick: You won't, because I'm gonna offer a spark to you that you've never seen. I'm pretty sure you can already feel the heat.

Steffy: You know what? Just put enough effort into my line as you did wasting all that time trying to get me to sign those stupid papers.

Rick: You want to talk about some wasted effort.

Steffy: Oh, you know what? Rick, don't even go there. Come on.

Rick: Liam is a lost cause.. Get rid of him. Let him go.

Steffy: You know, I am just sick of everybody trying to hound me, to get me to do what they want. No, I am not gonna be pushed. I am not gonna be guilt-tripped, and I am definitely not going to be seduced. (Sighs) I have signed the divorce papers. That's it. It's final. It's through. And if we are actually going to work together, drop it. This subject on my marriage is over. I don't want to hear anything about Hope and Liam.

Rick: All right, then let's talk about you.

Steffy: Oh.

Rick: How could a woman who is--who is so smokin' hot and so gorgeous sit around for six months with her memories when you could just-- you could spend it with me?

Liam: Hope, look at you. You're shaking. You've gotta calm down here, girl.

Hope: I can't. I can't. I can't. I-I mean, I guess I'm an idiot, but I got my hopes up again, and now I--

Liam: I-I know that you're disappointed. I'm disappointed, too.

Hope: Disappointed? No, Liam, I'm s--that's not it. I am angry. Steffy is holding us hostage.

Liam: No, I don't think she sees it that way.

Hope: No, of course, she doesn't, Liam, because she can't see anything from anybody else's point of view, ever.

Liam: Okay, I know, but the fact is this is not even about Steffy. This is about the law.

Hope: It's all about Steffy! Okay, she could busily give you the annulment. She just won't.

Liam: I-I know. I'm just--I'm saying that legally she has that right.

Hope: Okay, well, she shouldn't have any rights, Liam. Your marriage was a deception.

Liam: I know, Hope. I know. What do you want me to say? She gets to make that demand. And we have to respect it.

Hope: Okay, well, I don't respect it. And I don't respect her. Liam, she has been manipulating both of our lives for months, longer than that. Since we got engaged. Or since--since we started dating, she has been throwing herself at you. And--and I-I get that you want to be sensitive to her, because you care about her, but, Liam what about me? I love you. I want to be your wife. I want to be your lover, but we can't do any of that until we are married. And I made that promise to myself, and I am not going to back out on that, and--and--and I'm sure as hell not going to let Steffy push me into something that I don't feel is right. Liam, she is using this to control us. Like we are her puppets. She's using this to wreck everything that we have. And someone has to stop her, because it's not fair. It's not right.

Liam: Okay, okay, listen.

Hope: And I don't know what to do about it.

Liam: Hey, hey, stop. Calm down. Calm down. Get a grip, okay? You and I are together. We're together. Steffy can't change that.? Nobody can change that. I love you, okay? I love you.

Hope: Okay.

Liam: And I will always love you.

Hope: Okay. (Breathing heavily) I, uh, I love you, too, and I want you. God, I want you so much. (Sighs)

Rick: You need to face reality, Steffy. You're gonna be alone. Liam will be with Hope, and it'll be just you and your memories.

Steffy: Yeah, and a lot of work that I'll obviously be doing all by myself.

Rick: I know you. You're not the kind of person that just sits around and wishes that--that things could be different. If you can't change a situation, you just switch course. What is it with this guy? It's not like he's all that handsome or all that dynamic.

Steffy: I love him, Rick.

Rick: And he loves my sister.

Steffy: But he loves me, too.

Rick: He wants a life with Hope, and she wants him.

Steffy: Okay. Then they're gonna have to wait six months.

Rick: She's already waited months.

Steffy: Then--okay, then they're gonna have to wait little longer.

Rick: It's not gonna change anything.

Steffy: Then why are we having this conversation?

Rick: Then why are you holding on? I mean, you know, I-I think about this, and it--it just seems like it's some kind of fatal attraction with you.,

Steffy: Ooh, wow. My, my, very dramatic. Okay, you want to know why? Because Liam is a genuine person. He's honest. And I can trust him. You know, unlike a lot of men that I have been with. They just used me so I could just boost their ego or they could get back at my dad. Liam doesn't want anything from me.

Rick: Then he's nuts, because he should want everything that you have to offer.

Steffy: Okay, then he'll figure it out.

Rick: What if he doesn't?

Steffy: Oh, my God. Rick, I just-- I don't want to go there, okay?

Rick: But you will. Yo--you're gonna wonder for the next six months? Until that divorce is final and Hope and Liam are married. And then you're gonna kick yourself for wasting so much time.

Steffy: So what am I supposed to do? Just rip off the bandage and just get it over with?

Rick: You're the boss.

Steffy: Well, I don't know if I really want to work with you anymore.

Rick: Why? Because you're afraid we can't keep it professional?

Steffy: No, because I'm afraid your ego won't fit in my office.

Rick: We'll be great together. You and I, what we had, it wasn't just about getting back at your dad. You know, I can still remember what--what pulled us together, and it was real, and it was exciting, and we had chemistry, and I can still feel it and personally, I know you're not the kind of woman just to hang yourself out to dry.

Steffy: (Scoffs) I don't know the kind of woman I am anymore.

Rick: I think I do.

Steffy: No, I think you're wrong. I've changed, Rick.

Rick: Thanks to Liam?

Steffy: Yes. Because I know what real love is.

Rick: Let me tell you something about love. Love needs to be nurtured.

Steffy: Yes, it does. But it's not gonna happen between you and me.

Rick: You know what I think?

Steffy: Hmm?

Rick: That we're gonna rock this Intimates line. And it's not gonna end there.

Steffy: It will, Rick.

Rick: I'm not taking no for an answer.

Steffy: Well, it takes two to cha-cha-cha.

Rick: Why can't we just have a nice rumba?

(Cell phone rings)

Rick: Hey.

Hope: I-I-I was just with Liam, and this waiting is making me crazy. What are you gonna do, Rick?

Rick: Don't worry. I'm gonna get the papers signed.

Hope: I-I don't care what you have to do. All right, just sweep her off her feet. I-I-I don't care. Get the annulment papers signed, okay? Make it happen.

Rick: I will.

Hope: Okay. Soon, Rick, please. It--it cannot be soon enough.
