Rick: Oliver's running late. You know, it's really too bad that we have to stand here and drool over Steffy in her lingerie, you know?

Marcus: You know you're terrible, right?

Rick: (Laughs) What? Steffy's hot. You know it.

Marcus: You're serious about this? I mean, what you told me earlier, about you being interested in Steffy again?

Hope: I'm sorry. Who?

Madison: It's been on your calendar.

Hope: It has? Oh.

Madison: Yes. Christine Johnson-- she won the essay contest?

Hope: Yes, yes, oh, of course, yeah.

Madison: She's here with her mom and her sister.

Hope: Okay, great. Yeah, now is perfect. Yes.

Madison: Okay, I'll be back with goody bags.

Hope: Okay, thank you, Madison.

Madison: You're welcome. Come on in.

Christine: Hi. Hi

Hope: Hi! Hi, I'm Hope. Hi, welcome to Forrester Creations.

Mrs. Johnson: Hi.

Hope: Hi.

Christine: I can't believe we're really here.

Mrs. Johnson: (Chuckles)

Hope: Hey, you guys are wearing Hope for the Future.

Mrs. Johnson: Oh, please. It's all they'll wear anymore.

Girl: Most of our friends, too, because of you and your message.

Hope: (Chuckles)

Steffy: I'm assuming you don't want to attend?

Thomas: Uh, it creeps me out enough watching you get ready.

Steffy: (Chuckles)

Thomas: I'm glad you're back at work, though. It'll help you.

Steffy: Help me, what? Move on?

Thomas: Yeah. Steffy, are you okay?

Steffy: I'm fine. I signed the divorce papers. (Sighs) But that doesn't mean it's over for Liam and me.

Rick: Can you blame me? I mean, you know better than anyone what it's like to fall for Steffy. Well, we felt for each other before, you know? That just doesn't go away.

Marcus: Well, it better not. I mean, she did break my heart because of you. The least you can do is end up with her.

Rick: (Chuckles)

Brooke: No! No, Rick. What are you thinking?! There is no way I'm gonna let you be with Steffy again.

Rick: (Sighs)

Hope: So it doesn't seem like I'm, I don't know, preaching at all?

Girl: Are you kidding? No.

Hope: Okay, good. Good, because I-I'm really not trying to talk down to people who-- who don't share my values.

Mrs. Johnson: Well, you've never said "Be like me." You say what you believe in-- that every young woman should have the confidence to make the right choice for herself.

Christine: That's exactly it. It's what I wrote in my essay. I was feeling a lot of pressure, and I wasn't ready. But it seemed like I was supposed to be. And then your line, Hope for the Future, came out, and the things you said gave me confidence. And not just with talking to my boyfriend, but also with opening up to my parents.

Mrs. Johnson: Oh, Sweetie.

Christine: I owe that to you. Thank you.

Marcus: Okay, well, just tell me when Oliver gets here, okay?

Rick: You bet.

Marcus: All right. Mom, too.

Brooke: Bye.

Rick: (Sighs) You misinterpreted.

Brooke: (Sighs) That you're interested in Steffy?

Rick: I may have implied...

Brooke: You said it.

Rick: So that Marcus would believe, and you know, that-- in case Steffy walked in. (Sighs)

Brooke: What?

Rick: Now I don't want you to get involved, okay? It--it's Ridge's daughter. I-I don't want to explain it to you.

Brooke: Tell me. Annulment papers?

Rick: If I can get her to sign, you know, I-I-I can make her fall for me again, I-if I can remind her how we-- how we used to feel. Look. Look, Hope has been hurt too many times. It stops now, and I'm stopping it.

Thomas: It--it worries me that you're clinging to hope.

Steffy: I don't cling, especially not to "Hope."

Thomas: (Sighs)

Steffy: I take it you've given up?

Thomas: They want to get married. What can I do?

Steffy: Six months is a long time. A lot can change, and a lot won’t.

Thomas: You think that Liam will come back to you because Hope still wants to wait?

Steffy: (Sighs)

Thomas: Steffy, if--if Liam is that kind of guy, why do you want him?

Steffy: I don't think that will be the reason. I think he'll come back to me because his opinion doesn't matter to her. I mean, I don't-- I really don't get what you see in Hope, but, uh, don't give up. Liam will come back to me.

Thomas: (Sighs)

Steffy: I hope so.

Thomas: You know, I'm not gonna lie, I-I'm still in love with Hope. But I'm not gonna put my life on hold, just sitting around waiting for them to break up, especially when there's no guarantee that that will ever happen. Steffy, you could wait your whole life for that. And then what?

Steffy: (Sighs)

Thomas: Liam wants out of your marriage. Why not just agree to the annulment? I just--I don't see what dragging this out gets you.

Steffy: So what am I supposed to do? Just give up on Liam?

Thomas: No, Steff. Give up on being miserable. Live life regardless of Liam.

Steffy: (Sighs)

Thomas: Maybe someday he'll come back to you. A-and if you're still interested, that's--that's great. But chances are you're gonna be in a better relationship with a-a guy who is only in love with you.

Steffy: Well, I already had some guy admit that he had feelings for me. He even kissed me. But I-I think he'd prefer me pining me away for Liam.

Thomas: No, not if he could really love you.

Steffy: About that-- Rick?

Thomas: (Groans)

Steffy: Okay, see? Right there. Right there, your face. Okay. (Laughs)

Thomas: Uh, Rick kissed you?

Steffy: Uh, yeah, but it was... (Sighs) It--it was just-- it was on the cheek.

Thomas: Okay.

Steffy: I'm not reading anything into it.

Thomas: (Scoffs)

Steffy: I think-- I think he's just realizing how awesome things could have been if... things were just different between us.

Thomas: Yeah, no doubt about that.

Liam: Hey.

Hope: Hey.

Liam: Sorry to interrupt.

Hope: Oh, no, Liam, I want you to meet the Johnson’s.

Liam: Hi.

Hope: Um, this is Christine. She won the essay contest that we sponsored.

Liam: Oh, wow. (Chuckles) Hi.

Hope: Yeah, um, everyone, this is my fiancé Liam Spencer.

Liam: Hi. Nice to meet you.

Mrs. Johnson: Oh, well, nice to meet you. I hope you know how lucky you are.

Liam: I do.

Mrs. Johnson: Well, we should get out of your way. Thank you for your time.

Hope: Okay. No, absolutely. I-it was my pleasure, seriously. I mean, talking to you really reinforces what this line is about.

Liam: (Chuckles)

Mrs. Johnson: And we're grateful to you.

(Knock on door)

Hope: Madison, hey. Hey, perfect timing.

Madison: Hi!

Hope: Um, would you mind giving Christine and her family a little tour?

Madison: Oh, no problem, and I have goody bags for everybody.

Mrs. Johnson: (Gasps) Oh.

Liam: (Laughs)

Madison: Here you go.

Hope: Nice. (Laughs) Awesome. It was so nice meeting you. Thank you so much. Thanks. Bye, guys.

Girl: Thank you.

Christine: Thank you.

Liam: (Chuckles) Enjoy.

Hope: What? What's that look?

Liam: I just... enjoy seeing why you do this...

Hope: (Chuckles)

Liam: The effect it has on people. If this is at all possible, it makes me love you even more.

Rick: You know, Steffy’s gonna be down here soon, so you probably should just go.

Brooke: And leave you to do what?

Rick: (Sighs)

Brooke: Seduce her into signing annulment papers? Rick, this is crazy!

Rick: Look, S-- Steffy’s messed with Hope's life so many times now.

Brooke: So you're gonna mess with hers? Ridge's daughter?

Rick: I'm sorry. You know, I-I-I didn't want to put you I-in a tough spot. Look, just do me a favor-- don't--don't tip off Steffy...

Brooke: (Sighs)

Rick: And don't tell Ridge.

Brooke: Okay.

Rick: Yeah?

Brooke: (Sighs) Yeah, I'll turn a blind eye and let you do what you can for your sister. Maybe it'll even help Steffy. She'll realize she can't mess with people's lives. I am not going to support this!

Rick: What?

Brooke: This interest that you have in Steffy. It's not going to work. Ridge won't support it, and neither will I.

Rick: Mom?

Brooke: Hmm?

Steffy: (Singsongy) Awkward.

Brooke: (Sighs) What are you doing with Rick?

Steffy: (Normal voice) What? Nothing?

Brooke: So this new interest that he has in you and it's nothing to do with you?

Steffy: (Sighs)

Brooke: That's really hard for me to believe.

Rick: Yeah, Mom, we--we have a-a photo shoot, so...

Brooke: Oh, right, yes. Well, keep it professional. Hands off!

Steffy: Rule number one when you have a crush-- don't tell Mommy.

Hope: What a great reminder for me. Yeah, I-I am so glad that I talked to them.

Liam: Yeah.

Hope: Yeah.

Brooke: Who?

Hope: Oh, hey, Mom. I, uh, I just met with the essay contest winner. Yeah, my line is still having an impact, which is really good to hear. It reminds me that I made the right decision... even if it means waiting a little longer than I wanted.

Brooke: (Laughs)

Liam: Yeah.

Brooke: I may have some good news, too.

Hope: What?

Liam: Yeah, what?

Brooke: Steffy might change her mind about the annulment.

Liam: Well, no, we've all tried talking to her.

Brooke: But Rick hasn't, and he's with her right now, and he might be able to appeal to her in a way that none of us were able. Your marriage could end today.

Liam: (Sighs)

Steffy: Where's Oliver?

Rick: Uh, he's running late from his last assignment. But we can go through the shots, you know, just make sure you're ready to go.

(Champagne fizzing)

Steffy: Cool. What's this?

Rick: Oh, this is, uh, a prop.

Steffy: Okay, is it-- is it real?

Rick: Yeah, it's the good stuff. I just want to make sure you're in the right mood.

Steffy: For...

Rick: For modeling, of course.

Steffy: Oh. Yeah.

Rick: Mm-hmm.

Steffy: Mmm. That's good. Oh, okay. Um, first setup, I want us to be... right here.

Rick: Mm-hmm.

Steffy: Mmm.

Rick: (Sighs) Oh, here, yeah.

Steffy: Mm, mnh-mnh. Careful, okay? There's "In the mood," and then there's "Passed out."

Rick: All right, we--we're gonna take photos of both, you know? See which one tests better.

Steffy: Well, I can tell you which one my dad will approve.

Rick: Yeah?

Steffy: Yeah.

Rick: Take off your robe. Let's run through the poses.

Steffy: Okay. (Clears throat)

Rick: (Sighs) Damn. (Chuckles)

Steffy: What?

Rick: Like, it... (Sighs) It couldn't have been easy for Liam.

Steffy: Wait, are-- are you the f-first person in Hope's family to actually admit Liam wanted to be with me?

Rick: (Sighs) I'm not denying that, and not just because you're-- uh-- I'm just saying that obviously you guys had a connection.

Steffy: (Chuckles) Well, obviously, his connection was stronger with your sister, so if that's your point, I really don't need to be reminded.

Rick: No, no, no, look, look, look, look, look, my--my point is, Liam’s loss is someone else's gain.

Steffy: Liam's loss? He's still my husband.

Rick: No, a husband doesn't do that. He doesn't go dumping you after everything you gave him.

Steffy: Wait, wait. Okay, stop. What? I don't understand. It's--it's either you want Liam to be with Hope or not.

Rick: I don't think he should be with either one of you. Look, you know how I grew up-- watching my mom get hurt over and over again by a guy who loved two women. I don't want to see my sister go through that. I don't want to see you go through that, either. Frankly, I think she should just kick him to the curb, but she thinks the sun and the moon of him. I think that she can do better than a guy who thinks twice about leaving someone... like you. Any guy would be lucky to have someone like you... well, any red-blooded man, that is. You know, I'm beginning to think that Liam’s just a boy. You know, with the choices that he makes, maybe he should be with Hope... give you a chance to be with a man. You're too smart for this-- chasing after some guy who disrespects you, make you feel desperate, makes you look like a fool. No, he--he's the idiot who walked out on you.

Steffy: I love him.

Rick: You can't tell me that someone who's as intelligent as you are, as strong as you are is in love with a guy who doesn't appreciate you. You need a man. You need somebody who challenges you. Does Liam do that? Does he challenge you? No, because he's just a boy who's lost in the fog...

Steffy: (Sighs)

Rick: Thinking about another woman while he's lying in your bed.

Steffy: What are you doing?

Rick: (Clears throat) Something I should have done a long time ago, but I was just... too blind to see it. (Sighs)

Steffy: Wh-what do-- what do you have?

Rick: (Sighs)

Rick: Annulment papers.

Steffy: No. Whoa. Whoa, I-I gave you no indication--

Rick: Come on, Steffy, where's your pride?

Steffy: (Sighs)

Rick: Where's your dignity? I-I can't stand here watching you, you know, waste your time with a guy who doesn't appreciate you.

Steffy: (Sighs)

Rick: I mean, do you really think that you're in love with boy?

Steffy: (Sighs)

Rick: Because the moment that you--that you have a man, you have someone-- someone that--that holds you and kisses you and you share with, you're gonna know what that feels like. Sign the stupid annulment papers and move on. Move on with me. You see what that feels like? What it feels like to have someone kiss you who's not thinking about another woman? Can you feel that, Steffy? Can you feel what it's like to be with me?

Steffy: Do you have a pen?

Rick: Yeah. You'll sign?

Steffy: (Sniffles) (Sighs) (Sniffles) (Sighs) (Sniffles) (Pen scratching) (Sniffles) (Sniffles) There we go. How fast can you have these filed?

Rick: As soon as I can get it to Liam.

Steffy: Do it.

Rick: All right, I will. I won't be long.

Steffy: Hey. I'll be waiting.

Liam: I mean, Rick won't try to, like, intimidate her?

Brooke: (Laughs) Steffy? Does she get intimidated? (Chuckles)

Liam: Well... (Stammers) She hides it well, but, yeah, this whole process has been pretty rough on her.

Brooke: Don't worry. Rick knows just how to talk to her, how to get her to see what needs to be done.

Liam: (Sighs)

Brooke: They have a very complicated history. He knows what he needs to do to... persuade her.

Hope: (Sighs) Liam, could you imagine? I mean, could you imagine if he got her to agree? We could get married right away, no more waiting.

(Door opens)

Rick: You're free.

Liam: Wh-what?

Hope: What?

Rick: Yes, signed!

Hope: Are you serious?!

Rick: Yes, signed!

Hope: Oh, my God!

Liam: Whoa!

Hope: (Squeals) Oh! Rick. Oh, my God!

Liam: Oh, my God. (Laughs)

Hope: Liam. Liam! We did it! We did it! Oh, my God! Liam, we can get married.

Liam: We can get married.

Hope: (Gasps) I'm going to be your wife!

Liam: (Laughs)

Hope: (Squeals) Oh! (Laughs) Oh, my God. (Laughs)

Liam: (Laughs)
