Liam: I love you.

Hope: I love you, too.

Liam: (Chuckles)

Hope: Is--is this real? You--you and Steffy are over?

Liam: I couldn’t let another day go by. I had to end it. I want to spend the rest of my life with you, starting right now.

Hope: (Chuckles)

Taylor: What exactly did Liam say to you?

Steffy: That he wants to be with Hope.

Taylor: I'm so sorry.

Steffy: He called me over there, and he told me how much he loves me a-and that he wanted to put the past behind us. I got it in my head that he'd stay. But no.

Taylor: How could he do this? I... (Sighs) I-I don't know how he could not honor his commitment when he says that he loves you.

Steffy: No, he--he does. He loves Hope and me.

Taylor: (Sighs)

Steffy: No, I-I knew this from the beginning. I can't blame him for wanting to start a life with Hope. This is the life that he had planned before me, before Aspen. But I couldn’t. (Sighs) Keeping Liam away from Hope, yeah, it was wrong.

Taylor: (Sighs)

Steffy: Really, the best thing for him is... is to give it a shot. That way, when he comes back to me, it'll be for good.

Brooke: Should we have heard something by now?

Ridge: Not if they're all still together.

Brooke: Liam deciding between Hope and Steffy... somebody is going to be so hurt. (Sighs)

Ridge: Logan... (Sighs) Whatever happens, you and I are gonna be there for both our daughters, all right?

Brooke: (Sighs)

Taylor: When he comes back to you? Is it over or not?

Steffy: Oh, it's over. I have his ring.

Taylor: Then why are you talking about him coming back?

Steffy: Look, I've made some bad decisions. I did some questionable things. I was just so insecure. (Sighs) That is just no way to have a marriage, and I get that now. You know, all this time, try to keep Liam away from Hope, I-I shouldn't have cared. I shouldn't have worried. I just-- I should have let it happen. But fine, if... if he wants to end our marriage and be with Hope, so be it. They won't last.

Taylor: Well, if you're thinking of interfering, I--

Steffy: No, Mom. Come on. You aren't listening to me. I don't want to be that person anymore. (Sighs) I don't--I don't want Liam to be with me because of some trick. (Sighs) Look, I-I've made mistakes, and I'm not proud of them, but I definitely learned from them. Hope hasn’t. No, she still has her campaign and her image. (Scoffs) I'm sure they'll have this grand reunion, and everything will just seem so wonderful and perfect. But it won't be long before Liam figures out that they do have problems, and why he was attracted to me in the first place.

Taylor: And then he'll... (Sighs) Come back to you, and you'll just pick up your marriage right where you left off.

Steffy: Only it'll be much, much better. He loves me, Mom, and he's gonna come back, and when he does...

Taylor: (Sighs)

Steffy: Things will be different. I won't be insecure. I won't have to lie. No, I-I won't have to worry if he's making eye contact with Hope across the room, because you know what?

Taylor: (Sighs)

Steffy: There--there won't be any what-ifs. Liam will know that in his heart, he gave it his best shot, and when he comes back to me... (Chuckles) It'll be without manipulations. It'll be because he truly wants me. You know, I'm looking at this as a painful chapter in my life.

Taylor: (Sighs)

Steffy: But it's not the end. Far from it.

Hope: (Laughing)

Liam: (Laughs) Oh! Grab it. Grab it, grab it, grab it!

Hope: Oh, my...

Liam: There we go. Ahh. Ohh. Mm.

Hope: (Laughing)

Liam: Okay, here we go.

Hope: Oh, my gosh.

Liam: Mm.

Hope: Ohh.

(Kissing Liam)

Hope: (Squeals, giggles) Ohh.

Hope: Oh, wow.

Liam: (Chuckles)

Liam: (Laughs)

Hope: (Laughs) Oh, my gosh, Liam, all the--all the pressure of you being married...

Liam: (Laughs)

Hope: To Steffy and me not interfering and months of angst, wondering how I was going to move on, and now... I don't have to move on. I don't have to, do I?

Liam: Not anymore, no.

Hope: No. Oh, my gosh, it's all behind us. It's all behind us. We are together. Can we get married, like, today?

Liam: Uh, you know, today would be tough. Today--today--but--but--

Hope: Tough, okay no, you're right. Okay. Then just as soon as possible, then, would be great.

Liam: (Laughs)

Hope: (Laughing)

Liam: Huh?

Hope: (Sighs happily)

Taylor: Don't blame yourself for Liam’s choices.

Steffy: I'm not. I'm just-- I'm taking responsibility for my own. (Sighs) No, I did everything wrong. I was just so insecure. I-I didn't trust. Look, I understand where Liam’s coming from, and I get that he needs time with Hope. But that's all it is. It's just time.

Taylor: Steffy, I want you to just be prepared.

Steffy: (Sighs)

Taylor: All right?

Steffy: Mm-hmm.

Taylor: Liam told you that he wants to be with Hope. (Chuckles) You can give him all the time in the world, and it doesn't mean that he's ever going to change his mind.

Steffy: No, Mom, come on. Hope is prissy, overly judgmental, boring. Liam used to know that...

Taylor: (Sighs)

Steffy: And he will again. No, I'm not losing faith in us.

Ridge: When you got to Liam’s house, Hope was waiting outside?

Brooke: Yes, while he was talking to Steffy. She could see that they needed some time alone, but he didn't want Hope to leave. I guess you could interpret either way.

Ridge: Ending it with Steffy, wanting Hope there to reunite with after.

Brooke: Oh, Ridge, this is so difficult, knowing that one of our daughters is going to get her heart broken.

Ridge: (Sighs)

Hope: Thank you. So, um...

Liam: (Sighs)

Hope: How's Steffy?

Liam: About as you'd expect.

Hope: Yeah. (Sighs) Oh, God. It must have been really difficult telling her.

Liam: It was. (Chuckles) It was. I mean, I-- I hated hurting her.

Hope: (Sighs)

Liam: I-I love her, you know? I-I'll always love her.

Hope: Yeah.

Liam: I just--I can't keep burying my head in the sand about who she is...

Hope: (Sighs)

Liam: And what she did. I mean, I-- my life was headed somewhere, you know with you. I--we had a future planned, and we would have been married by now if it weren't for... her lies and--n her manipulating.

Hope: (Clears throat)

Liam: (Sighs) And you know what’s funny? I told her that, and... she got it. I mean, she understood.

Hope: Mm.

Liam: She even wished me the best.

Hope: Yeah, that's because she really does love you, underneath all the lies.

Liam: Lies that can't hurt us anymore.

Hope: Nope. They can’t. (Chuckles)

Liam: Everything I put you through, Hope Logan...

Hope: (Chuckles)

Liam: (Grunts) And you stayed so strong.

Hope: Uh, it may have seemed that way.

Liam: No, come on. What are you talking about? The way you handled this, that's strength. That's self-respect. It just makes me love you even more. All that time, wanting you from a distance...

Hope: Oh, God, I know. I-- we came so close to reuniting... (Groans) So close. And then--and then something would always get in the way, and I started to wonder if we would ever be together again.

Liam: Here we are.

Hope: Here we are.

Taylor: Sweetheart, I know what it's like to wait around for the man you love.

Steffy: Liam's not Dad.

Taylor: He's leaving you for another woman...

Steffy: Okay. (Sighs)

Taylor: A Logan. I don't want to see you go through the same emotional roller coaster that I have.

Steffy: Mom, uh, do you have a box?

Taylor: Uh, what kind of box do you need? What...

Steffy: For Liam’s ring.

Taylor: Oh. (Sighs) I have, uh, we can put it in this one right here.

Steffy: Oh. Perfect. Thank you.

Taylor: Here you go.

Steffy: It'll now be safe... (Sighs) 'Cause he's going to need it again.

Taylor: What are you doing with yours?

Steffy: Mine? I'm not taking it off. No. Even though Liam and Hope are together, he'll realize that their problems still exist, and when he comes back to me, he'll--he'll see that I'm still wearing it. So ring stays on.

Brooke: Do you want to try Taylor? That's probably where Steffy would go.

Ridge: If she's the one going. All this talk about who Liam would choose... Logan, we have to remember, he already chose Steffy when he married her. He looked my daughter in the eye and swore to be with her for life. And despite what you think, despite what Katie and Hope think, their marriage is real. He loves her. He would never have married her if he didn't, gondola mishap or not.

Brooke: Yes, Steffy and Liam do have a deep connection, but it just doesn't compare. I'm sorry.

Ridge: I hope you won't be too disappointed if he stays married, and I'll try my damnedest not to be if he doesn’t.

(Cell phone rings)

Ridge: Is that Hope?

Brooke: Yes.

(Ring)

Brooke: (Sighs) Honey, yes? What s it? Did he decide? Hope?

Hope: (Giggles) I'm here. I'm here, I'm here. I'm sorry, I'm sorry.

Liam: (Quietly) I made you smile!

Hope: Yes, he made a decision. We are together.

Brooke: Together?

Hope: Yes. He is ending his marriage and coming back to me.

Brooke: Oh, Sweetheart. (Sighs) That's wonderful.

Hope: (Sighs) You told me not to give up. You--you encouraged me the whole time. (Laughs) I still can't believe that this is happening, Mom. (Laughs)

Brooke: I knew it would.

Hope: (Laughs) Um, okay, well, I'm gonna go. Uh, but I-I will tell you everything tomorrow, okay?

Brooke: Okay. (Sighs) I love you.

(Hangs up cell phone)

Liam: (Normal voice) So she's happy? Is that--?

Hope: Beyond happy.

Liam: (Chuckles)

Hope: Liam, she has been waiting for this moment, too.

Liam: Yeah.

Hope: She supported me through everything. When I lost faith, she didn’t. She always believed that we would find our way back to each other.

Liam: You know, deep down, I think we knew it, too. This feels right. This is where we belong.

Brooke: (Sighs) Will you be okay? Ridge?

Ridge: I mean, it's not me we need to worry about. I was positive, so sure he'd do the right thing.

Brooke: Maybe he did.

Ridge: Look, I'm sorry. I know I said I'd try to understand if it went this way, but how can I? (Chuckles) What he's done to my daughter I... (Groans) She didn't deserve this.

Brooke: Steffy is going to be okay now they can all move on.

Taylor: I wish you would take it from someone who's been there. I'm worried about you waiting around for Liam. And what if they get married?

Steffy: I doubt they'll make it to the altar.

Taylor: (Sighs)

Steffy: No, Hope's gonna want this perfect wedding, and that's gonna take ages to plan, not to mention the divorce going through. No, he'll remember how she treats him long before then. And when the day finally comes when Liam has to sign the divorce papers, he won't do it. I'm not giving up.

Hope: Let's not wait to get married. Really, I don't want to make the same mistake again. All the planning and tying it to my campaign, I-I will never do that to you again.

Liam: I--no argument from me, but, um, one-- one step at a time, huh? I think I-- I-I need to get divorced first.

Hope: Okay, well, we'll talk to Justin. I bet that he can make it happen really fast.

Liam: Oh.

Hope: Or better yet, get an annulment.

Liam: Well, haven't I been married too long for that? I mean--

Hope: Y-yeah, but, Liam, she trapped you. That marriage never should have happened. I'm serious. You don't have to wait around for a divorce. Just have her sign annulment papers...

Liam: Hey--

Hope: And we can get married right away!

Liam: Hope, hey, listen to me. Listen. I want you to have the wedding you've always dreamed of, so don't feel like you have to rush this time.

Hope: I'm not. I don't want to plan a-a big extravagant ceremony. Maybe, at one point, I did, but not now. All I want to do is look into your eyes and commit myself to you.

Liam: This beautiful girl-- smart and articulate, with values and stuff, admired for her principles...

Hope: (Laughs)

Liam: And she wants me? Really?

Hope: Yeah, she does.

Liam: I feel so lucky to have gotten here with you, and its not-- it's not just love that I feel for you. It's--its admiration. It's awe. Its respect and--and attraction and desire, too, both mental and physical. But... loving you has turned out to be so much more complicated and fulfilling than anything I've ever felt. And every morning that I wake up next to you, I will thank God that we are living this life together, because it's the life that we deserve. It's the life that we should have.
