Stephanie: You betrayed us. You betrayed the whole family. Why, for some little crush? For some idea that you got in your head that I-I didn't respect your engagement?
Pam: Well--
Stephanie: That gave-- wait a minute. That doesn't give you the right to steal from us, Pam.
Pam: No, but I was completely heartbroken, Steph. And I was confused. I-I was really upset with you for not supporting my relationship with Stephen.
Stephanie: But, I never interfered in that relationship.
Pam: (Scoffs)
Stephanie: I-I didn't. Did I ever try and break you up? No. I let you be.
Pam: Yeah, you let us be. You completely ignored us.
Stephanie: Oh.
Pam: No, you tolerated us, maybe, at best. But you certainly never tried to make him feel welcome in this family.
Stephanie: I don't like Stephen. He doesn't like me, all right? I'm sorry if I didn't make him welcome. I-I tried the best I could. Pam, he didn't leave you because of me. It's what he does. Ask his two daughters. They know him. I'm not responsible for his choices. He's responsible for his own actions, just as you are, Pam.
Ridge: Check the feed again. The cameras had to pick up something. I know you're doing everything you can. I'm just frustrated. I want to catch this creep. Okay, thanks.
Steffy: Security?
Ridge: Yeah. No new leads. Hanging in there?
Steffy: Trying.
Ridge: I know things are tough with Liam right now. But, Steffy, I gotta tell you, today feels like such a m-- a miracle to me.
Steffy: Yeah. Yeah, a real miracle. (Sighs)
Ridge: You want to tell me what's going on here?
Steffy: Um... I moved out.
Katie: Liam? Hey.
Liam: Hi.
Katie: (Sighs)
Liam: You make nice with my dad?
Katie: Yeah, he tried to, but it's gonna take time.
Liam: You were right.
Katie: I wasn't right about Steffy. I don't think she was involved in this. I... (Sighs) I really believe that.
Liam: Yeah, I know.
Katie: (Sighs) It doesn't change everything she's done, though. I mean, she's lied to you over an over again. You can't forget that.
Liam: (Sighs)
Liam: I'm not taking Steffy's lies lightly and neither is she. She, uh... moved out.
Katie: So it's over?
Liam: No, but she's... giving me the space I need.
Katie: Listen, even though she wasn't involved in this, it--it doesn't erase everything she's done. There are some things that you shouldn't tolerate.
Liam: That goes for you, too.
Katie: (Sighs) I know. (Sighs) (Voice breaking) It's just that I love him so much. (Sniffles) I just... (Sighs) I just want a man who won't lie to me. (Sobs) I mean, is that too much to ask, that he trusts me enough to be honest with me? (Sniffles) I don't know if he's capable of it. Bill and Steffy, I mean... (Sighs) maybe we're kidding ourselves about who they really are. (Sighs) (Sniffles) Steffy's not gonna change, which means your marriage isn't going to, either.
Ridge: Oh, sweetheart, what happened?
Steffy: A misunderstanding-- a big one. But I-I'm not gonna give up on my marriage. I'm just gonna give Liam time, so he can just figure out where his head is.
Ridge: Oh, please, he's your husband. He doesn't need time to get his head together. Maybe he needs me to do it for him.
Steffy: (Sighs) (Sighs)
Hope: Hi.
Steffy: Not in the mood.
Hope: I just saw your dad storm out. Um, is everything okay?
Steffy: Hmm. Let's see. My father-in-law convinced everyone that I was dying, and my husband might end up leaving me for it. Gee, Hope, what do you think?
Pam: Maybe if you could just try to understand how I feel, you could forgive me.
Donna: Why would she?
Stephanie: (Sighs) I'd like to talk to my sister alone, Donna.
Brooke: You're not going to let her off the hook.
Stephanie: Thank you, Brooke. I can take it from here.
(Door opens)
Stephanie: (Sighs)
(Door closes)
Pam: You're a lot less angry than I thought you'd be.
Stephanie: Oh, I'm angry. I'm furious. I'm just... I'm amazed. I... I don't know who you are. I don't know who my sister is.
Hope: Did you tell your father?
Steffy: What Bill did? No. I don't see what good it would do telling anyone at this point. And Liam doesn't deserve the embarrassment.
Hope: No, I agree. I would love to tell the entire world what happened, but he's Liam's dad, and I don't want to damage that relationship more than it already has been.
Steffy: Yep. Okay, you know what's really, really annoying?
Hope: What?
Steffy: Oh, my God. I can't believe I'm saying this. But you are actually kind of likeable. Yeah, I said it.
Brooke: Ridge, I-- is everything okay in here?
Hope: Mm-hmm. We're fine.
Steffy: Mm, yeah. No claws. See? What, are you looking for dad?
Brooke: (Sighs) Yes. There's something I need to tell him.
Steffy: If it's your usual complaint on how I'm standing in the way of true love, you'll be happy to know that I, um, moved back into my mom's.
Brooke: What?
Steffy: Yep, I did. Standing in the way no more. So if Liam wants to break his marriage vows and run off into the sunset with Hope, now's his chance.
(Door closes)
Ridge: Trying to decide who to call? I suggest your wife.
Liam: (Scoffs) It's, uh, text from Steffy, actually. She, um... wants to work this through. Listen, I don't know what you've heard, but...
Ridge: I don't really know all the details, Liam. I did hear that Steffy moved out. How could you let that happen?
Liam: (Scoffs) It's complicated.
Ridge: Did she do something?
Liam: It's a culmination of things, really. I mean... I forgave her for what she did in Aspen, but, um... it still lingers, you know? And she promised me that she would never lie to me again, and the whole time that we were in Cabo, she... she lied. She was obsessed with keeping me away from Hope.
Ridge: Can you really blame her, the way the two of you have been looking at each other?
Liam: She still should have told me Hope was there.
Ridge: Liam, you didn't need to know that Hope was there. You just needed to focus on your wife. Look, she just got over a head injury that could have had a very different outcome that neither of us want to think about, right? So you have one wife.
Liam: (Sighs)
Ridge: You love her. Liam, you need to stay true to her.
Liam: (Sighs)
Brooke: Steffy, I'm sorry.
Steffy: Oh, don't get all excited. My marriage isn't over.
Brooke: But if you moved out...
Steffy: I gave Liam space. That's what I wanted to do.
Brooke: I just don't want to see you get your hopes up.
Steffy: I just moved out. And I-I just don't think that Liam is as sure about leaving me as you think.
Brooke: Why? Did something happen when he came over here? Look, I know how much he loves Hope. I've seen it. Liam doesn't need time to figure this out or space. He wants Hope. I know it took a lot of courage, but do the right thing, Steffy. Don't move back.
Liam: I didn't vow to stay true to somebody who manipulates me, who hides things from me. I mean, is that honoring our marriage, Ridge?
Ridge: She's insecure with men, Liam, especially with you. That's why she lied in the past, done some things she probably shouldn't have. But you don't punish someone that you love just because they have insecurities. You help them through it.
Liam: Okay, see, but that's what I don't understand. I mean, she's--she's beautiful. She's smart. She's funny. She's successful. Steffy is the last person on the planet who should feel insecure.
Ridge: Yeah, well... I'm probably to blame for that-- insecurities from her childhood and all. She feels like I walked out on her. I live with that guilt, but you don't have to. Look, Liam, you're not walking out on my daughter.
Pam: But, Stephanie, you know me. You--you know me better than anyone in the whole world. I-I get off track sometimes.
Stephanie: What was your plan? You were gonna steal the designs, come back, say, "I'm sorry," and I was gonna say, "Pammy, that's all right. Everything's fine"? Pam, I'm not always gonna be around to fix things for you.
Pam: Around? If we're being honest with one another, Stephanie, when have you really ever been around? I lived almost my entire life alone, taking care of our mother...
Stephanie: (Sighs)
Pam: No, when you were out here having a pretty good life, pretending we were dead.
Stephanie: Are we gonna ride this old horse again?
Pam: No, but it's true, Steph. It's true. No, you just--you had love. You had a marriage, kids that loved you, a family. Is it so wrong hat I might want some of that, too?
Stephanie: No, of course not. What--why can't I ever get you to understand? I want you to have the same things. I al--I-I-I do. I want you to have all that.
Pam: Well, then why didn't you show that? You had the chance. I was so happy being engaged to Stephen, Stephanie.
Stephanie: (Sighs)
Pam: It was everything I ever wanted. Why did you have to hate him? Why couldn't you have just made the tiniest little bit of effort for me, after everything I sacrificed for you? I miss him so--
Stephanie: He wasn't worthy of you.
Pam: No, that is not for you to decide.
Stephanie: Maybe not, but I get to decide what happens now.
Pam: Steph, please, come on. Mother's gone, now Stephen please... I can't lose you, too. I'm sorry. I'm really, really sorry.
Stephanie: I know you are. But I can't pass this off as another one of your pranks.
Pam: So? Steph?
Stephanie: Ridge and Eric are just never gonna forgive this.
Pam: Well, maybe though if you forgave me, you could explain it to them. They'd understand if you explained to them how upset it--I-I was. Please don't give up on me, Steph, not now, not--not after all we've been through together. You're my sister. You can't turn your back on me.
Stephanie: (Sighs) You just about ruined our business. You've cost us a fortune. But that's not important really. That's not what really matters to me. What matters to me is you betrayed me. You have to go, Pam.
(Elevator bell dings)
Stephanie: I hope it was worth it. Good-bye.
Steffy: Well, she's confident.
Hope: It's because of what she saw tonight.
Steffy: (Sighs)
Hope: Look, Steffy, I-I know that things are different now because Liam knows that you weren't part of the lie, but... oh, if you had seen the way he looked at me... oh, God, I'm sorry. I'm not telling you these things to hurt you. I just--I-I feel like you have a right to know.
Steffy: You talk about morals and principles, but I'm still his wife. Yes, I am giving him space right now, but it's not so that he can hang out with you. It's so that he can remember where he belongs.
Ridge: Stay in your marriage, Liam. That ring that you wear, it means something to you.
Liam: Of course it does.
Ridge: Then don't take it off. I like being your father-in-law, actually. I like how much my daughter loves you. It makes me proud. Your father, too. I know he supports this marriage.
Liam: (Sighs)
Ridge: Is something going on with you and your dad?
Liam: You could say that.
Ridge: Did he have something to do with this? He did, didn't he? Okay, look, I don't know the whole full story here. It doesn't really matter. All I care about is my daughter. Don't let her down, Liam. All marriages hit rough times. Look at Brooke and me. We've been through a hell of a lot, but we're still standing. You and Steffy will be, too. Call Steffy. Get her back here. Because every hour that you don't is killing her.
Liam: (Sighs)
(Door opens)
(Door closes)
(Cell phone rings)
(Ring)
Liam: Hi.
Hope: Hi. I just wanted to hear your voice.
Liam: Big day, huh?
Hope: Huge. Look, I don't--I don't want to pressure you, okay? I know you've got a lot to think about.
Liam: You're not pressuring me.
Hope: All right, well, get some sleep. (Sighs) I'll talk to you in the morning, okay?
Liam: I love you, Hope.
Hope: I love you, too. (Sighs)
