Bill: Are you gonna punish Steffy for what I've done? Is that fair? She's your wife.

Liam: No, don't do that. You--you may have lied about her life-threatening condition, but that wasn't the only lie told, Dad.

Bill: Do you want to add your wedding vows to the list?

Donna: Liam's marriage is over?

Brooke: Steffy says she'll fight for him.

Donna: Well, it sounds like his mind is made up.

Brooke: When they got back from Cabo, Hope told me that Liam was planning on ending his marriage.

Donna: Mm.

Brooke: And then the doctor discovered the blood clot.

Donna: Right. No more blood clot, no more Liam. Well, it just doesn't explain why he's so angry.

Brooke: And he was.

Donna: (Sighs) You know, I just-- I don't understand why people are so hard to figure out. (Sighs)

Brooke: Is everything okay?

Donna: (Sighs) Uh... I, uh, I have to talk to you. It's about your designs. I know who stole them.

Brooke: You know who gave our collection to Jackie M.?

Donna: You won't believe it.

Brooke: Who?

Donna: (Sighs)

Pam: I can't go on like this. I have to confess.

Nick: Pam, there's no reason to panic.

Pam: No, I can't live with the guilt anymore, Nick. I stole from my own sister.

(Liquid fizzing)

Nick: You saved Jackie M. from going under.

Pam: I'm a thief.

Nick: Look, this thing happens in the fashion world all the time. It's actually normal.

Pam: Not for me. It wasn't the way that I was brought up, Nick. Family first. You don't betray your own family. I have to tell Stephanie I took those designs. I-I don't know why I did it. I will never, never do it again.

Nick: No, you won’t.

Pam: (Sighs)

Nick: But that doesn't mean that you have to confess. You see right now, it's just your word against hers.

Pam: Whose?

Nick: Donna. And you know how Stephanie feels about her.

Pam: Wh--what are we talking about?

Nick: Donna knows. She saw us together. She knows that you gave Eric’s designs to Jackie M.

Bill: You made a promise, Liam, for better or worse.

Hope: Bill, he's not the one who should feel guilty. You are.

Bill: Guilty? Guilty? I didn't say a word about guilt. But since Hope brought it up, will you feel guilty, Liam? You got to think about this, Son. You're not talking about breaking up with a girlfriend. You're talking about ending a marriage.

Liam: Yeah, I have thought about it.

Bill: No, you let your emotions take over.

Liam: What are you talking about? Emotions are what this entire thing is about, and I have every damn right to be upset.

Steffy: Okay, I should have been honest from day one.

Bill: How can you expect her to be honest with you if you can't be honest with you?

Hope: That's a really great point, Bill, and you would know all about that, because this has nothing to do with your attraction to Steffy or your need to keep her within the family. No, this is just about protecting their marriage.

Bill: Liam's says he's tired of being manipulated. He wants to make his own decisions. So make one. Don't just go running off to Hope because that's what you do when you're upset with Steffy.

Liam: This is your idea of backing off, Dad? Really?

Bill: You said you wanted me to act less like a businessman and more like a father. Well, careful what you wish for.

Hope: Then give us your support, all of it. No more lies, no more tricks. Stop filling Liam’s head with your opinion and your bad advice. You will be happy for us, and you will be grateful that your secret is safe... unless, of course, you don't care who knows what you did.

Nick: Here you go.

Pam: What's that?

Nick: Some water.

Pam: (Scoffs) You want me to calm down? Better put something in it. (Sighs)

Nick: Good idea. I'll handle the drinking. I need you to keep your wits about you. I can't have you getting all Pammy on me.

Pam: I shouldn't have come here, Nick. I should have gone directly to Stephanie’s. She--Donna is probably with her right now.

Nick: That-- that's not gonna happen, because Donna hates Stephanie almost as much as she...

Pam: Donna's not gonna keep quiet about this, Nick. I stole from Forrester Designs.

Nick: (Sighs)

Pam: I betrayed my own family. This is exactly the kind of revenge that Donna’s always wanted. Now she's got all the ammunition she needs.

Nick: That's not my feeling on this.

Pam: I wanted to confess, remember? I told you that. Well, now it--it can't wait.

Nick: (Sighs)

Pam: I've got to get to Stephanie before Donna does.

Nick: No, no. P-Pam.

Pam: No, it's gonna come out in the open, so I want my family to hear it from me.

Nick: Pam!

(Door opens)

Pam: (Speaking indistinctly) (Door closes)

Brooke: Nick told you who stole our designs?

Donna: I guessed.

Brooke: Well, who is it?

Donna: I... (Sighs) I can't prove it. I--nobody will believe it.

Brooke: Honey, I'll believe it. You're my sister. Of course I'll believe you.

Donna: (Sighs) I was falling in love with him, Brooke.

Brooke: The thief?

Donna: No, Nick. I thought we had something special.

Brooke: Yes, that's why you forgave him.

Donna: Yes. (Scoffs) He said that he was desperate, that--that--that Jackie M. was gonna go under, and that's why he did it. But there's desperate, Brooke, and there's desperate. I mean, come on-- "Let's Make a Deal"?

Brooke: "Let's Make a Deal"? Wait, what are you talking about?

Donna: Pam was on "Let's Make a Deal."

Brooke: (Scoffs) Okay. So what?

Donna: So she-- she was ridiculous.

Brooke: So what if she-- what does that have to do with--

Donna: She was--she was dressed like this fisherman, and I-I didn't recognize her at first, and, uh, there was this guy with her, and I thought it was Thorne. He was, like, a lobster. And... then I realized it was Nick.

Brooke: Okay, so Pam and Nick were on "Let's Make a Deal."

Donna: Yes, as a couple, Brooke. She called him her catch. It was disgusting.

Brooke: (Scoffs) Are you serious? You really think that something happened between Pam and Nick? (Door opens) No, that's not possible. Nick and Pam would never do something like that.

Stephanie: Why are you talking about my sister?

Steffy: Looks like you got Bill right where you want him.

Hope: (Scoffs) He needs to know that he's not the one calling the shots anymore.

Steffy: He doesn't react well to being threatened.

Liam: Steffy, what are you talking about? He manipulated all of us, and I'm not gonna let him do it again.

Bill: Thattaboy. Protect your wife.

Liam: Excuse me. Were you listening to a word Hope just said?

Bill: I'm more interested in what you have to say. It's obvious you still care about Steffy. She's innocent in all of this.

Liam: No, she's not. Maybe she didn't know you lied about her condition, but that doesn't mean she's innocent. None of us are. I mean, I let you talk me into staying when I really wanted to leave. You helped Steffy deceive me when she thought Hope was getting too close. None of us is innocent... except Hope. She's the only one who's been honest this entire time, even when it hurt her to be and even when she knew it wouldn't change anything, because that is what integrity is-- doing the right thing because it's the right thing, telling the truth even when you know there's no reward in it. That's what's so special about Hope. That's what you never appreciated about her, because you don't understand it. You can't even comprehend it, because everything you do is for your own benefit.

Bill: That's not true. I was trying to help you.

Liam: I don't need your help. I need to make my own decisions. What you did was despicable, making Steffy think that she could have a stroke.

Hope: Making all of us believe it.

Steffy: My parents know the blood clot is gone. They're relieved.

Liam: And learning that it was all a lie would only upset them further. But I'm not gonna do that. I'm not gonna expose you, and I don't want you to be grateful for that. I don't want you to thank me, because I'm not doing it for you. I'm doing it for all the people who work here, all the people who rely on you, who have been asking the same question I'm asking myself-- who the hell are you? Who is this man that I've put my faith in?

Bill: (Sighs) Liam, you asked me a question. Aren't you gonna let me answer it?

Steffy: No, Bill. No, he has to answer it.

Bill: All right, I get it. I get it! You're pissed at me. But I'm still your father.

Steffy: And I'm still your wife. I'm not giving up on us. Liam, I love you. And I know you love me, too.

Liam: I do. I do love you. But I can't deny the love I have for Hope. I believe you, Steffy. I believe that you were not in on this with my dad.

Steffy: (Sniffles)

Liam: But that's not where our problems started.

Steffy: (Sighs) (Sniffles)

Liam: And as of right now, I consider us separated.

Steffy: (Sighs) Um, okay. I will move back into my mom’s. (Sniffles) You need space, and I'm not gonna be afraid to give it you. You know... (Sniffles) You've asked me over and over again to have faith in our marriage. So I'm gonna use this separation to prove that to you.

Stephanie: What's this about Pam?

Brooke: Donna thinks she's involved with Nick. They went on "Let's Make a Deal" together.

Stephanie: You-- they were on television?

Donna: I told you she wouldn't believe me. I was watching on the boat with Nick. He was trying to distract me, and I-I didn't understand why. And then I recognized Pam. One look at Nick, and I figured it all out. He knew that he'd been caught. And he told me everything.

Stephanie: What are you implying?

Brooke: Did Pam have access to epic’s designs?

Stephanie: Well, of course she had access to the designs. She works here-- wait a minute. What are you telling people? Nick and my sister are friends from when we worked over there, for goodness sakes. Well, I don't know why he'd go on some cockamamie television show with her, but I mean, what does that mean?

Pam: Stephanie, Madis--

Stephanie: Perfect timing.

Pam: Do you think that maybe you and I could go talk alone in your office?

Stephanie: In a minute. In a minute. I want to get this straightened out with Donna right now.

Donna: (Sighs) Are you gonna tell her, or should I?

Pam: I really need to talk to you a-a-alone, Steph.

Brooke: I think we should go. Come on.

Stephanie: Come in the door for me. Come in. Close it. They've just said that they think you stole the designs and gave them to Jackie.

Pam: I hope that you can try to understand what I'm gonna say.

Stephanie: Oh.

Pam: No, Stephanie, I was really angry at you. Stephen had just left me, and I was feeling really depressed and really lonely. And you kept telling people that it was all for the best, that it was actually a good thing that my fiancé had left me. No, I heard you say those very words. And then I began to think about how you treated Stephen, and I realized you didn't really are about me. My feelings didn't matter to you at all, so--

Stephanie: So that-- wait a minute. That gave you permission to steal from us?

Pam: No, but I just wanted to feel good again. Nick made me feel that way, Steph.

Stephanie: (Sighs)

Pam: You know I've always had a-a little crush on him. And he told me that Jackie M. was in trouble...

Stephanie: Oh.

Pam: And that I could maybe help him by doing this one thing.

Stephanie: (Sighs)

Pam: And so we kind of made a deal. Believe me, I wish that I hadn’t. I know that it was weak, and it was petty, and I know that it was wrong. And I am so sorry, Stephanie. Please, please try to forgive me.

Bill: Steffy wait. Wait.

Man: That's not gonna work.

Bill: Get out of here.

Steffy: (Sniffles)

Bill: What you did in there... it was incredible.

Steffy: I said good-bye to my husband.

Bill: No, you didn’t.

Steffy: We're separated, Bill.

Bill: But you didn't lose your marriage. You didn't let that happen.

Steffy: (Sighs) (Sniffles, Sighs)

Bill: Listen to me. Liam thinks I don't appreciate Hope's integrity.

Steffy: (Sniffles)

Bill: Well, I don't think he appreciates your strength. You are a Spencer.

Steffy: (Sniffles)

Bill: When the going gets tough, you're at your best.

Steffy: Great. You think I'm fantastic. Keep it to yourself.

Bill: You don't want my support? Fine. But there's nothing wrong with it.

Steffy: It got me in trouble, Bill. It turned Liam against me.

Bill: Liam is just acting out right now.

Steffy: But he's not a kid, Bill, he's a man. And he can make his own decisions.

Bill: Yeah? (Scoffs) Then he better sit down and think about this decision and think about what kind of life he wants-- the life he could have with Bambi or the life he could have with you.

Steffy: Okay. Okay, stop it! Please, just stop. You say you're sorry. You say you're wrong. But none of it means a thing if you don't back it up.

Bill: The way you did, by giving Liam is space?

Steffy: You're right.

Bill: Well, I think maybe you took it a little far.

Steffy: If I didn't leave, Liam would have. My father's walked out on me. You've walked out on me. No, I wasn't gonna let Liam walk out on me, too, all right? No. (Sighs) No, he needs his space, and I need my space. He's my husband, and I am not gonna give up on him. I love him, Bill, more than I've ever loved any man.

Liam: He won't bother us anymore.

Hope: (Sighs) I think he probably will. But we are not going to let it get to us.

Liam: I felt so lucky when he first accepted me. You know, I thought... I thought the hard part was over.

Hope: Hey. He didn't mean to hurt you.

Liam: And you heard what he said. He doesn't even think about things like that-- consequences, who gets hurt.

Hope: No, but you know what? He's gonna think about it now.

Liam: I just don't want to hear any more excuses. I mean... (Scoffs) I swear, if--if--if I come into work tomorrow and... (Sighs) God, can even do that, I mean, come back here? How are we supposed to work together?

Hope: Oh, Liam, you don't have to decide that right now.

Liam: (Sighs) How could he do it? You know, how could he do this? I mean, when I-- when I thought Steffy was in on it, it actually made sense in a--in a bizarre sort of way-- you know, my father and my wife conspiring together yet again. But she had no idea.

Hope: (Sighs)

Liam: She really thought that she might die. That's like... torture. I mean, she must have been so scared.

Hope: She's still so scared. Liam, she's terrified that she's gonna lose you. (Sighs)

Liam: (Sighs) What am I gonna do?

Hope: I'm not asking for the answer to that question, not yet. (Laughs)

Liam: I can tell you one thing (Chuckles) I have loved you from the moment I first saw you, and I will continue to love you for the rest of my life.

Hope: I love you, too, Liam. But you're gonna have to think about what this means, what it means for you, for your marriage. (Sighs) What it means for us. I think we're gonna have to ask ourselves, um... is it too late for us? Or is it only just beginning?
