Rick: (Laughs) Come on, Sis. Uh, kick it up a notch.

Hope: (Chuckles)

Rick: You know, add a little more energy.

Oliver: Look, maybe it's the music.

Rick: I'm on it.

(Music stops)

Hope: (Sighs) Yeah, uh, you know what? um, I'm just kind-- I'm just gonna take a little break today?

Brooke: Sure, yeah. Take as much time as you need.

Rick: (Clears throat)

Brooke: (Sighs)

Steffy: Can I bring you anything?

Liam: Uh, no, I'm--I'm good.

Liam: Oh, let me guess-- that vile orange weirdness.

Steffy: Orange blossom tea.

Liam: Right.

Steffy: It's very soothing.

Liam: Yeah. Is the waiting getting to you?

Steffy: (Sighs) The whole thing's getting to me.

(Sets down mug)

Steffy:  I kind of need a functioning brain.

Liam: Yeah. (Chuckles)

Steffy: Yeah.

Liam: Listen, I know it's hard and it's scary in the dark in your head, and you can't sleep, but... you just have to be patient, you know? You have to stay calm and positive. You have to follow doctor's orders. And before you know it, you'll be back at Forrester bossing everybody around again

Steffy: Yeah, of course, I will.

Liam: (Chuckles) Well, you wouldn't have it any other way, right? Neither would I.

Steffy: You are the best thing that's ever happened to me.

Katie: Let me out.

Rick: Wh-why did you change?

Hope: There's really no point in having... (Sighs) a photo shoot. Hope for the Future no longer exists. I am pulling the line.

Rick: Y-you can't be serious.

Brooke: (Sighs)

Rick: Why would you pull it now?

Hope: I just feel like it's an idea whose time has come and gone.

Rick: (Stammers) Th-that's not even close to being true. Ever since Europe got on board, the collection is-- it's tracking better than ever

Brooke: Honey, you're in a position to reach every single one of your goals since beginning of the line.

Hope: Okay, but when I conceptualized Hope for the Future, I was this starry-eyed girl with all of these unrealistic aspirations and goals. And then life happened, and I learned a whole bunch of lessons that I didn't want to know, and I can't go back to being that naive girl.

Oliver: This makes me nuts. Haven't you given up enough? Liam's done nothing but hurt you. Instead of pulling the plug on Hope for the Future, you should focus on it. Think about something besides Liam for a change.

Hope: (Sighs) I think about Liam because I am in love with him. That is the one thing that hasn't changed.

Oliver: Then I feel sorry for you.

Brooke: Oliver just cares about you.

Hope: Yeah, I know.

Rick: We all do.

Brooke: We don't want you to do something that you're gonna be sorry about or you can't take back later. And you will be sorry, honey, because I've been on this ride with you. I know how much of your heart and soul you've put into making this line work. And you did. You made it a success. All of your hard work has paid off brilliantly. Why would you want to put a halt to the production now?

Rick: M-maybe she's having a bad day.

Hope: (Sighs)

Rick: Look, I-I don't mean it like that. Everybody has a bad day. You wake up, you're off, never recover. Not a great idea to pick that day to make life-changing decisions.

Hope: (Sighs)

Brooke: Why don't you just sleep on it, okay? Maybe you'll have a different perspective tomorrow.

Hope: No, no, guys, th-this isn't just about me having "a bad day," okay? This is something that I have been thinking about for weeks now. And my decision is clear-- Hope for the Future is done.

Liam: (Exhales quickly) You nervous about the M.R.I. results?

Steffy: Yeah, sure. But I'll be relieved once have a definite answer, you know, what's happening inside my brain, if there's, you know, any changes, if I'm still at risk, you know?

Liam: You know, I-- I learned something from you throughout all this.

Steffy: Really? What?

Liam: Just the meaning behind "courage under fire." I mean, you... (Chuckles) you have this renegade blood clot in your head, and you're just cool as a cucumber, you know? I don't know if I... would have handled it that well.

Steffy: Well, I have a wonderful husband who supports me...

Liam: (Chuckles)

Steffy: And makes sure I-- I get my rest...

Liam: Ah, yes.

Steffy: And brings me tea, even though it grosses you out.

Liam: Ugh!

Steffy: (Laughs)

(Rubbing Liam's leg)

Steffy:  You are my strength, and as long as I have your love, I can get through anything.

Bill: What are you doing here?

Liam: Oh.

Steffy: Huh?

Liam: I-I guess you didn't get the memo. Actually, we live here now.

Bill: That's funny. Yeah, I know you live here. I didn't see your car out front.

Liam: (Laughs) Well, yeah, I park in the garage.

Steffy: Oh.

Bill: How long have you been here?

Liam: Does it matter?

Steffy: Why are you acting so weird?

Hope: Look, I understand why you're shocked. I can hardly believe it myself. I mean, not too long ago, Hope for the Future meant everything to me.

Rick: Yeah, e-exactly, not too long ago. That's why I think maybe you need a little breathing room.

Hope: Taking a breather isn't going to help me forget how self-righteous I've been. Okay, I-I'm sorry, but holding out my body as some kind of icon that can be worshipped but not touched? And then presuming to know how other women should conduct their lives? It's just--it's ridiculous.

Brooke: Honey, you never came off that way. You had a message that you wanted to put out there, and people responded in a positive way.

Hope: Okay, but I don't believe in that message anymore, all right? It--it doesn't work in the real world, and I'm a shining example of that. I--my virginity is still intact, and Liam is married to Steffy.

Oliver: (Scoffs)

Rick: You're confusing the issues. Your message I-is business. Liam is personal.

Hope: No, but that's the thing-- my message is me. My relationship is me. It's just another reason why we should pull the line. I am a terrible businesswoman.

Rick: That's not true, either.

Oliver: Look, I'm on record, all right? I don't like any of this--

Hope: (Sighs)

Oliver: Your attitude, this decision you're making. I think it's a mistake, and you're gonna regret it. Whatever you decide to do, uh, I support you, all right? Whatever that's worth.

Hope: It's worth a lot, thank you. Okay, um, so what happens next, legally speaking?

Brooke: Okay, wait, wait. I-I really need to talk to my daughter alone.

Katie: (Sighs) (Sighs)

Bill: I-I'm just, uh, surprised to see you two. It means I don't have to wait.

Liam: For what?

(Thumping overhead)

Steffy: Did you hear that?

Bill: I-I didn't hear a thing.

Steffy: No, it was like a thumping. You heard that, right?

Liam: Yeah. Yeah. Uh, maybe-- uh, let me go check.

Bill: F-f-forget about that. Houses make random noises. Listen, I-I-- I've got news for you guys, and I guarantee, you're gonna want to hear it.

Liam: Okay.

Bill: Ramon called. The test results came back. The clot's gone, Steffy.

Liam: (Claps hands) Yes!

Bill: It's dissolved.

Liam: Yes! (Laughs)

Steffy: Ohh. No way. The clot is gone?

Liam: It's gone? It's gone? It's really gone?

Steffy: Bill, are you serious?

Bill: It's gone.

Liam: (Laughing) Oh, my God.

Steffy: (Sighs)

Liam: Wait, I thought-- I thought, uh, Ramón was supposed to call us, yeah?

Bill: What difference does it make who Ramón called? The clot's gone.

Liam: You know, it doesn't. It doesn't. You're right, it doesn't. This is fantastic. This is so great. Steffy, it--

Bill: Congratulations, Steffy. You've got your life back.

Liam: Steffy, are you-- are you okay? Yeah?

Steffy: (Crying) Yeah, yeah, I am. Um, yeah, I just... I-I don't know. I guess it just suddenly hit me.

Liam: Yeah.

Steffy: Um...

Liam: I know.

Steffy: I know, I just-- I felt like--I've just been so been terrified with everything.

Liam: I know. Hey, me, too.

Steffy: And I just thought of constantly thinking about this, and I just...

Liam: Me, too. Me, too.

Steffy: (Cries)

Brooke: You're being way too hard on yourself.

Hope: No, Mom, you have to know that Hope for the Future is a silly, outdated idea.

Brooke: Honey, nothing is silly about you, including your clothing line. You are a beautiful, principled, inspirational daughter, and I couldn't be more proud of you.

Hope: Why? I have made such a mess out of everything. I even dragged the family business into my disaster. I-I-I mean, using Forrester as the launching pad for an idea that was so out of date to start with? I mean, people don't save themselves for anything anymore. (Scoffs)

Brooke: Because of you, a lot of young women did.

Hope: But I still have to question my message and whether it's right for the world we live in.

Steffy: I didn't feel like I have this ticking time bomb in my head.

Liam: (Chuckles)

Steffy: You know, the headaches at first, but they were bearable. (Sniffles) It was just the constant nagging awareness, and I tried to ignore it, but somewhere deep inside, I just remember, I... I-I could stroke out. I-I could be dead.

Liam: I know. I was so paranoid about you getting upset, I wanted to get, like, an armed guard or a watchdog just to keep everyone a-away.

Steffy: Oh, my God.

(Thumping overhead)

Bill: I think this deserves a toast.

Liam: Uh, yeah, sounds good.

Steffy: Oh, my gosh. Ohh. I can't believe it. I can't believe the blood clot's gone.

Liam: (Laughs)

Steffy: I just can't believe it. (Sighs)

Bill: To Steffy's clean bill of health and a bright future, as long as my son here doesn't screw it up.

Liam: Nice, Dad.

Bill: Appreciate how lucky you are, Liam.

Steffy: (Chuckles)

Bill: You have love of a woman who-- who complements you and adores you. Make sure you're deserving of that love. Move on, and be thankful that you can, because it doesn't always work out that way. The love of a good woman can make all the difference. To Liam and Steffy. May you have a long and happy life together.

Liam: Hear, hear.

Steffy: Cheers to that.

(Glasses clink)

Steffy: (Chuckles) (Sighs) Ohh.

Katie: (Sighs) Come on. (Breathing heavily) (Grunts) Come on! (Grunts) (Grunting) (Grunts) (Sighs) Oh, God. (Sighs)

Katie:  Come on, come on. (Grunts) (Groans) (Grunting) Oh! (Sighs) Ohh. (Breathing heavily)

Brooke: I understand you've been through a lot, and, yes, we are formed by our experiences. But Liam Spencer is not a good enough reason for a complete personality change.

Hope: Uh, I thought you were big advocate of Liam and me.

Brooke: I was. I am... if Liam is good for you.

Hope: (Sighs)

Brooke: And right now, I just don't see that. You're questioning yourself. You're questioning your principles. That's not healthy. And if this is all because of Liam-

Hope: Mom, I love him. I always will, and I know that he loves me. But I think sometimes love isn't enough, and I hate saying that. But whenever Liam and I are in the same room or if we get thrown back together by circumstance, I-I look at him, and I see how he's looking at me, and in that moment, I start to believe in us again.

Brooke: (Sighs)

Hope: (Sighs) And then something happens, and--and we just get thrown back into reality. I mean, he's married to Steffy, and he is tied to her for who knows how long, and my heart gets broken all over gain.

Brooke: Oh, honey.

Hope: (Cries)

Steffy: I honestly-- I don't know how to thank you.

Bill: You really don't have to thank me. I'm just the messenger.

Steffy: Well, not for just telling me that I'm okay. Bill, you have been a huge support from day one, and it means so much to me, and I know it means so much to Liam. That's-- that's the kind of guy you are.

(Loud bang)

Liam: Okay, come on. You had to have heard that. Seriously?

Bill: Wh-wh-what-- what is it with you? What, are you a bat? Do you hear every little sound the house makes?

Liam: Well--

Bill: It's an old house. It creaks and it groans.

Liam:  (Sighs)

Bill: Just let it go. Just be happy, you two. Move on. Appreciate what you've got.

Bill: I gotta go.   Hey, you guys. Look at this great surprise! Look who's here.

Katie: Just thought I'd drop in.

Bill: Your timing couldn't have been better. I just delivered some amazing news to Liam and Steffy. Ramon called. The M.R.I. results came back. The blood clot is gone, dissolved.

Katie: No kidding?

Steffy: Oh, we're very relieved, as you can imagine. Oh, yeah.

Liam: Yeah, yeah. Are--are you--are you all right? You look a little, uh--

Bill: She looks great. She never looked better.

Katie: (Scoffs)

Bill: You're feelin' good, aren't you, Katie?

Liam: Uh--

Steffy: Uh, I'm, uh, we're sensing some tension, a-and I-I don't mean to be rude, but it--I don't want her really to spoil this moment, you know?

Bill: No, no, no, uh, you're not being rude. You guys have-- have some celebrating to do. So we're gonna go home and--and talk through a couple things.

Katie: Oh, I-I don't think so. No.

Bill: Katie, this is something we should just discuss between the two of us.

Katie: I am not going to cover for you.

Liam: Guys, what is going on?

Katie: Uh, you're not gonna get away with this. I can't change what you've done, but it ends right now.

Bill: Katie.

Liam: Katie, what are you talking about? Wh--

Katie: Steffy's life was never in danger.

Liam: Yeah, it was.

Katie: No. No wasn't. The clot didn't exist.

Steffy: Wh-- wait, wait, wait, wait. Katie, have you lost it? Are you serious?

Katie: No, but he has.

Bill: Katie.

Katie: Not another word, "Quasimodo." My husband and your wife-- again-- have been in collusion to keep you away from Hope. There was no blood clot. It was a fiction. They made the whole damn thing up.
