Taylor: Is there any change at all?

Dr. Rivera: Not yet.

Thomas: But she's gonna be okay, right? I mean, her test results were good.

Taylor: (Sighs)

Dr. Rivera: The tests don't show everything. The longer she remains unconscious, the more serious her condition becomes.

Bill: You've made a decision? What the hell is that supposed to mean?

Liam: I told--Dad, I told you. I'm not discussing this with you or anyone until-- till I talk to Steffy.

Bill: Hey, try to stay focused for two seconds, will you?

Liam: (Sighs)

Bill: The only thing that should matter to you right now is that woman.

Liam: She does-- she does matter.

Bill: Then act like it.

Liam: She--okay, so in other words, just ignore everything that she did at the resort.

Bill: She was staking her claim. Why would you blame her for that?

Liam: No, no, Dad, she was being deceptive, okay, and it's not the first time. I mean, she knew Hope and Thomas were at the same resort as us. She should have said something.

Bill: Why would she say something when she knew exactly how you'd react?

Lm: Because it's honest, Dad. It's honest. That's supposed to mean something in a marriage.

Bill: Well, maybe she would be more honest if she didn't feel so threatened. I see the way you look at Hope. So does Steffy.

Liam: All right, that's-- that's no excuse.

Bill: What are you gonna do? Are you gonna leave your wife, run off with Snow White?

Liam: No, I'm gonna-- I'm gonna take control of my own life now is what I'm gonna do.

Bill: Your life is with Steffy. Steffy is your wife. You need to forget about Hope.

Liam: (Sighs)

Hope: Hey.

Ridge: Why isn't he in there with Steffy?

Bill: (Sighs) He's going to talk to her when she comes to.

Ridge: Talk to her about what?

Bill: He didn't say.

Hope: (Clears throat)

Ridge: This never should have happened. You do realize that.

Liam: Yeah. I-I--look, I know you're upset. I mean, I am, too. And she's--she's gonna come out this. We just have to come together. I mean, we're her family.

Ridge: Yes, we are. You're now my son-in-law. I trusted you with my daughter. Don't get any idea about leaving her.

Liam: Look, Ridge, can we please not talk about that right now?

Ridge: We have to talk about it, Liam. Look what's happened here. Steffy's in there fighting for her life, and that's cause of you.

Liam: Excuse me.

Woman: (Speaking Spanish)

Bill: He'll do the right thing.

Ridge: He better.

Liam: Um... I'd like a moment alone with my wife.

Thomas: I'm not leaving her.

Taylor: Thomas. Thomas.

Liam: Hey. So beautiful. (Sniffles) They're right, you know? This never should have happened. Things just... got out of control. And now all I want is just to... Taylor: (Sniffles) (Sighs)

Dr. Rivera: Very good. No dilation.

Woman: (Speaking Spanish)

Dr. Rivera: How do you feel, Steffy?

Steffy: Okay.

Dr. Rivera: Do you know where you are?

Steffy: Heaven?

Liam: (Laughs)

Taylor: (Sniffles)

Thomas: You're in the hospital, Steffy. You took a bad spill on an A.T.V.

Taylor: (Sniffles)

Dr. Rivera: You were in here when she came to?

Liam: Uh, yes.

Dr. River: Um, she just opened her eyes, woke up?

Liam: Well, I was... talking to her, and--and her hand started twitching, and then her eyes opened.

Ridge: You gave us quite a scare, Sweetheart.

Steffy: I'm sorry.

Taylor: We're just so grateful to have you with us. I couldn't have...bear losing you.

Liam: So what do you think, Doctor?

Dr. Rivera: Her vitals are good. We'll have to wait and see how she progresses, but I expect a full recovery. She's a lucky young lady.

Taylor: (Sighs) (Sniffles) (Sighs)

Steffy: Well, how long do I have to stay here?

Dr. Rivera: We'll observe you for the rest of the day, run some more tests. If all goes well, you should be going home in a couple of days, maybe even tomorrow.

Steffy: Thank you.

Dr. Rivera: You're welcome. But the one you should be thanking is your husband. Whatever he said did the trick.

Liam: (Sighs)

Dr. Rivera: Now if you'll excuse me, I have other patients.

Taylor: (Laughs) (Sniffles)

Bill: Your love and support, Liam--that's what brought your wife back.

Taylor: No more A.T.V.s for you, okay?

Steffy: Mom.

Ridge: No, for sure. Not on my watch.

Taylor: Look, her color's already coming back.

Ridge: Yeah, it does.

Taylor: Yeah.

Ridge: I think possibly we might get you out of here tomorrow.

Taylor: Mm-hmm.

Taylor: (Sniffles)

Liam: Hi. Close call, huh?

Thomas: Yeah, too close. I really hope you learned something.

Liam: Uh, yeah, I think we all did.

Thomas: Yeah well, you, especially. It's time to take care of my sister, Liam, your wife.

Liam: All right. Okay, Thomas. I get the point.

Thos: So you're saying you're letting go of Hope?

Liam: I'm saying I get the point.

Thomas: No, I don't think you do. I've seen the way you look at her, even here at this hospital. Come on, you're married.

Liam: Yeah, I'm married to a woman who goes plotting along with her brother behind my back.

Thomas: Don't--do you even think about attacking Steffy.

Liam: Thomas--Thomas, I am not in the wrong here. Okay, you shouldn't have taken off on that A.T.V., but you shouldn't have, either. What did you think was gonna happen? You think I wasn't gonna try to get answers from you? I mean, you and Steffy, the whole time, the whole trip, were running around, trying to keep Hope and me from seeing each other. What is that?

Thomas: Because you're obsessed with her. That kiss on the beach right in front of me? Come on.

Liam: Okay. All right.

Thomas: Thanksgiving, Christmas-- every time you too are together, you're stringing her along. Not me. Steffy is your wife. Man up.

Liam: (Sighs)

Hope: (Sighs)

Liam: Well, Thomas is a happy camper. (Laughs)

Hope: Yeah, so I heard.

Liam: And he's right. But they shouldn't have kept us apart. I love you, Hope. I will always love you.

Bill: Hey, Doc, you have a minute?

Dr. Rivera: Oh, certainly. Uh, you must be very relieved.

Bill: (Sighs) I am.

Dr. Riva: I have every reason to believe that your daughter-in-law is going to be fine.

Bill: She's not going to be fine.

Thomas: Come on. Let's have it. Where's your purse?

Steffy: (Laughs) Don't make me laugh, okay? It hurts.

Thomas: I'm sorry. But I am taking your driver's license. You're a maniac.

Taylor: (Laughs)

Ridge: Only on sand, though.

Taylor: Oh.

Steffy: Oh, my God.

Taylor: My precious baby. Baby girl. Oh, baby girl. I could never lose you.

Dr. Rivera: You're still worried about Steffy

Bill: You could say that.

Dr. Rivera: There's no reason to be. Here, let me show you. This is a brain scan that gives us concern.

Bill: It isn't Steffy's?

Dr. Rivera: No. Notice the darkened area. That is a blot clot. This woman's condition is very serious. If the clot loosens, it could lead to a stroke, perhaps death.

Bill: How do you treat this patient?

Dr. Rivera: It will take time. The clot has to dissolve on its own. (Grabs X-ray) Any undo stress, anxiety, or even grief could lead to a stroke. Now this... is Steffy's brain scan. As you can see, there's no blood clot, no brain damage at all. Steffy should make a full recovery.

Bill: Whose brain scan is this?

Dr. Rivera: Oh, that is the woman in --

Bill: Not anymore I assume you have a copy.

Dr. Rivera: Yes, I have copies. What are you doing?

Bill: I see you're having a fund drive.

Dr. Rivera: Yes, but--

Bill: Having some trouble reaching your goal.

Dr. Rivera: Mr. Spencer--

Bill: You're only a third of the way up, Doc.

Dr. Rivera: (Sighs) We have been trying to raise that money for some time. But, Sir, what you have done here is not something--

Bill: What I have done... or am about to do...is buy your hospital... a new cardiac wing. And trust me, the check is good. Congratulations, Doc. You just met your goal. I would expect to see a little smile. Come on now. Turn that frown upside down. No harm's being done here, only good. You're helping Steffy save her marriage, and you're providing your hospital with a state-of-the art cardiac facility. This is Steffy's scan now. The information you're giving the other patient, her family, about the blood thinners, the loving, nurturing environment, etcetera, etcetera-- you’re giving that same information to my son.

Liam: Look, I can't stop loving you, Hope. I mean, I-I love Steffy, too, I really do, but you are like an angel to me, and I can't look at you any other way.

Hope: (Sighs) Oh, go, Liam, I-I can't destroy your marriage, especially right now when Steffy is in a hospital bed.

Liam: No, Hope, you heard the doctor. Steffy's gonna be fine.

Hope: (Sighs) You--you took--you took vows, and I-I respect that.

Liam: All right, listen to me. Listen to me. I am not asking you to do anything. This is all on me. But I can't go on living like this. I gotta make it right, and there's only one way for me to do that. No more lying and no more manipulations from Steffy and Thomas. I'm... I'm gonna do what I have to do.

Hope: (Sighs)

Liam: (Whispers) I am yours.

Hope: (Sniffles) Liam, I don't know what to say.

Liam: You don't have to say anything, do anything. This is in my hands.

Bill: Liam.

Hope: I just.

Liam: (Sighs)

Bill: What the hell are you doing? You've got to stay away from that girl. Do you even care about Steffy?

Liam: Of course, I do. Dad, of course, I do. But she's gonna be okay, thank God.

Bill: Yeah, thank God.

Liam: And now I gotta go talk to her.

Bill: About this decision you've made?

Liam: It's what I have to do, Dad.

Bill: (Sighs)

Steffy: Tomorrow I get released?

Ridge: We'll see, Sweetheart.

Steffy: I want to be-- I want to be with Liam.

Thomas: And you're gonna be with Liam, Steffy, okay? He's not going anywhere.

Steffy: Hi.

Liam: Hey.

Steffy: My hero... again. Mm. (Sighs)

Liam: Um... do you guys mind if I have a moment alone with my wife?

Taylor: We'll be right outside.

Thomas: Take care of your wife.

Bill: Liam, the doctor needs to speak to you.

Liam: Uh... not--not now, Dad.

Bill: He said it's important.

Liam: Okay, it's probably about insurance or something. Can you just deal with it, please?

Bill: He asked for you specifically.

Liam: I'll be right back. What is this about?

Bill: I don't know. He didn't tell me. Dr. Rivera, you said you wanted to speak to my son?

Dr. Rivera: Yes.

Bill: I'd like to stick around and hear what you have to say, if you don't mind.

Dr. Rivera: Of course.

Liam: Uh, what is it, Doctor?

Dr. Rivera: I've been going over Steffy's chart, specifically her latest brain scan.

Liam: What about them?

Dr. Rivera: Perhaps I should show you. You see that, uh, dark spot right there?

Liam: Yeah, I think so.

Dr. Rivera: That indicates a blood clot.

Liam: A blood clot? What does--what does that mean?

Dr. Rivera: Your wife is in a-a very precarious situation. If that clot loosens, she could have a stroke.

Liam: What?

Dr. Rivera: I'm sorry, Liam.

Liam: (Scoffs) No, go on. No, this can't be happening. You just told me that she was gonna be fine.

Bill: Well, that must have been before the doctor saw this latest scan.

Liam: Wha--

Bill: What does this mean?

Liam: Yeah, I mean, what--how--how do you treat something like this? You said it was serious, so--

Dr. Rivera: It's going to take time for the clot to dissolve-- weeks, maybe months. In the meantime, its critical Steffy has all the love and support she can get from her family, especially her husband. She's been through a trauma. She needs to be loved and cared for. Any kind of stress or tension could lead to... it could lead to death.

Liam: Whoa.

Dr. Rivera: Do you understand, Liam?

Bill: Liam... do you understand exactly what the doctor's saying?
