Brooke: (Gasps) Hope and Thomas are engaged?

Brooke: (Sighs)

Brooke: (Sighs deeply)

Brooke: (Sighs) Yes, of course I'm relieved. It's nothing against Thomas. It's just that I know Hope is still in love with Liam, and Liam is still in love with Hope.

Hope: (Laughing) Yeah!

Thomas: (Laughs)

Dayzee: Oh, and he decided to take Hope for a second opinion.

Dayzee: (Chuckles)

Marcus: Now we can fly down there and--on the beach...

Marcus: And play "footsies" in the sand.

Dayzee: And you can write it off 'cause it's a business trip.

Bill: You had one job. Where are they now?

Katie: Speaking of "damage control," do you want to tell me what's going on? How long have you known that they're all at the same resort?

Alison: I'm gonna go check on that really expensive piece of jewelry you had me order for your lovely wife.

Katie: You do that. Make sure it's something sparkly.

(Door closes)

Katie: Well? How long have you been running interference and keeping me in the dark?

Ridge: Will do. I'll have Steffy contact you as soon as she gets back from Mexico. Okay, you, too. I really should look into a "no cell phone" policy in the bedroom, huh? You were saying? We were talking about Hope and Thomas.

Brooke: Yeah. You said Liam and Steffy are in Baja right now? Have you talked to them recently?

Ridge: Not since they checked in earlier. Why?

Brooke: Do you have their itinerary?

Ridge: Well, I had Bill's assistant forward it to me.

Brooke: Gimme. Come on.

Ridge: (Sighs)

Brooke: Hope and Thomas are at the same resort as Steffy and Liam.

Ridge: So? It's just more opinions on the location, you know?

Brooke: (Scoffs)

Ridge: See if Forrester will be a good fit.

Brooke: Ridge, this doesn't concern you that the four of them are together?

Ridge: Logan, stop worrying about this.

Brooke: (Sighs)

(Engine sputters)

Marcus: It's a resort in Cabo, okay? I'm planning on checking it out for Forrester.

Marcus: Oh. Seems like Hope and Thomas aren't the only ones that's gonna be at the resort. Steffy and Liam are gonna be there, too.

Brooke: (Sighs) I can't believe we didn't realize they were staying at the same resort! (Sighs)

Ridge: Logan, I have her itinerary, but I never really looked at it. Look, everything's gonna be fine. Don't worry about it.

Brooke: (Sighs)

Ridge: Who are you calling? That--give me that.

Brooke: Hope! (Scoffs)

Ridge: Why? For what reason?

Brooke: Because to let her know about Steffy and Liam! (Sighs)

Ridge: Why? So she'll be tempted to see Liam? Logan, no. Come on, this isn't fair to either of our daughters. And besides, Steffy hasn't really had a chance to have a real honeymoon.

Brooke: Okay. Okay. But-- I should still call Hope. She did turn down Thomas' proposal.

Ridge: Thomas said in is text they'll contact us in a little while. Everything's all right. Come on.

(Hangs up telephone)

Ridge:  Let's just get back to our siesta. What do you say?

Brooke: Hmm. Yeah, I guess you're right. Besides, when I talked to Hope earlier, she didn't say anything about Steffy and Liam.

Ridge: See? Everything is fine.

Brooke: (Inhales deeply) Okay.

Ridge: Speaking of "fine"...

Ridge: Mm.

Brooke: Unless...

Ridge: Mnh-mnh.

Brooke: Mm. Mm. (Sighs) Unless... Steffy is up to her same old tricks. There aren't any gondolas in Cabo, are there?

Bill: I didn't know that Hope and Thomas would be there. When I found out--

Katie: When Steffy called you to ask you to help her again, right?

Bill: I'm trying to preserve my son's marriage, and I'm not going to apologize for it.

Katie: Are you going to apologize for omitting the truth from your wife?

Bill: The truth is that Hope is down in Mexico pursuing my son, just like she did in Aspen.

Katie: She's there on business.

Bill: What a funny coincidence.

Katie: So what are you gonna do this time? Trap her in a piñata?

Bill: Not a bad idea. She's a nuisance, maybe a borderline stalker.

Katie: Oh, please. Brooke told me that Thomas was taking her away to get closer to her. He wouldn't take her anywhere near Liam. Listen, Bill, I believe that things happen for a reason, okay? I mean, look at you and me, right? If you hadn't taken care of me that night at Café Russe, we never would have fallen in love and gotten married. Hope and Liam are at the same resort for a reason, and you shouldn't be messing with that.

Bill: And I don't want Hope messing with Liam and Steffy's marriage. Now if that anger you too bad.

Katie: I'm not angry. I'm disappointed. You're keeping things from me again.

Bill: I'm taking care of my family.

Katie: I'm your family, too and you're putting Steffy's needs ahead of mine. You're gonna tell me everything. What's going on down there?

(Engine puttering)

Ridge: So you're relieved Hope turned down Thomas' proposal.

Brooke: Thomas is a good guy. I just know how much Hope loves Liam. And their breakup was a terrible mistake. I am happy that Steffy has found love with a man, but... (Sighs)

Ridge: Liam is in love with Steffy, as well. Look, the start of his marriage was not the easiest, but there's always that period of adjustment.

Brooke: Ridge, he's caught in the middle of two women.

Ridge: But he's married to my daughter, and he knows where his loyalties lie.

Brooke: (Sighs)

Ridge: Look, Logan, I don't want Hope to be hurt again, but there's no way he's gonna leave Steffy.

Dayzee: What do you think it means? Yikes. All four of them in the same place together?

Amber: Hmm, maybe Steffy wanted to, uh, "check it out" for Forrester, too.

Dayzee: (Chuckles)

Marcus: Somehow I doubt that.

Dayzee: Do you think that they planned it? You know, to, like, be there together?

Amber: No, uh, it sounds like more of a coincidence to me, don't you think?

Marcus: Yeah, but those four, after everything they've been through?

Dayzee: Maybe they're trying to put everything behind them.

Amber: Mm, yeah, you know, like, a bond.

Marcus: Well, that would be good since they're family and they work together.

Dayzee: And I know that Thomas really cares about Hope.

Amber: Hmm. They do make one beautiful couple, don't they?

Marcus: I'm pretty sure she's still in love with Liam.

Amber: Uh, this is Hope we're talking about here. There's no way she'd go after a married man.

Dayzee: Well, maybe they have decided it is time to put everything in the past, or at least try.

Marcus: Yeah, well, I hope that's it.

Amber: Mm, well, they couldn't have picked a better place. Look at this place!

Amber: They're probably drinking margaritas right now, having a total blast.
