Steffy: (Gasps) Oh, no.

[Liam remembering]

Othello: Don't give up hope. Top of the mountain, 3:00.

Liam: Are you really meeting me here, Hope?

Steffy: No, no, this is not happening.

Taylor: Do you know where your daughter is?

Brooke: Of course.

Taylor: You're aware she's on her way to Aspen?

Brooke: Well, she's probably there now--she and Rick.

Taylor: You condoned it?

Brooke: I encouraged it.

Taylor: Why? Why would you do that, Brooke? Why would you set her up for disappointment like that?

Brooke: Wow, such confidence.

Taylor: (Sighs) Come on, Brooke. Brooke, Steffy has been through so much. She's been through so much loss. I just want to see this work out for her.

Brooke: I want to see the same thing for Hope.

Taylor: But it's over, because Liam has moved on.

Brooke: And why do you say that? Because your daughter is now wearing my daughter's ring?

Taylor: Well, I guess that it would mean that that's not your daughter's ring anymore.

Brooke: I believe in Hope and Liam as much as you believe in Steffy and Liam.

Taylor: Well, she had her chance, but she blew at okay? Steffy is engaged to Liam now, and they're happy. Hope needs to leave them alone.

Justin: The collection's, like, $56,236,000. We're looking at a total revenue of about $70 million at the end of the year. So if we-- Bill, you're not listening to me.

Bill: No, I'm not listening. I'm too busy worrying about Liam and Steffy and what the hell is happening in Aspen

Justin: They're celebrating their engagement. I say no news is good news.

Bill: You think so, huh?

Justin: Yes.

(Cell phone rings) (Ring)

Bill: Oliver, what's happening?

Oliver: Steffy's gondola just left the plaza. She'll be at the top in about 20 minutes.

Bill: That's good news.

Oliver: The bad news is Hope Logan just bought a ticket for the gondola. That's why I'm calling.

Bill: Hope's going to the top of the mountain? You've gotta be kidding me. How did that happen?

Oliver: I don't know, but she won't be far behind Steffy.

Bill: Well, can you stop her, distract her somehow?

Oliver: I don't know. She looks pretty determined to get up there.

Bill: Steffy will get up there first, right? She has a head start, right?

Oliver: Not by much. What do you want me to do, Sir?

Bill: Stay there and stand by.

Hope: Hi. Okay. Thank you. Thanks, yeah. Okay. I'm on my way, Liam. I'm on my way.

Rick: You're gonna make it on time.

Hope: Oh, Rick, I'm freaking out.

Rick: I hope Liam's there for you.

Hope: You--you said Othello gave him the message, right?

Rick: Yeah, he did.

Hope: Then he'll be there. He will. I-I will tell Liam that this has all just been a big mistake, that -I overreacted, and he never should have proposed to Steffy. But we will make it right. I'm not gonna lose him, Rick. I'm not.

Brooke: It galls me to think that Bill is taking Steffy's side, sending them off on a private jet.

Taylor: He's supporting his son.

Brooke: He's trying to keep Hope and Liam apart.

Taylor: That's your perspective.

Brooke: And it's going to be his wife's perspective, too.

Taylor: Oh, I'm sure Katie isn't going to be thrilled about this at all.

Brooke: (Scoffs) For good reason.

Taylor: Well, they're going to be family, though, they'll have to find a way to get along.

Brooke: Who says? Bill? He doesn't get to dictate everything-- who Liam marries, how our family is supposed to feel.

Taylor: They'll find a way to get along, because that's what in-laws do.

Brooke: No, they won't have to, because Steffy and Liam aren't getting married. I'm sorry, Taylor, but once Liam finds out that Hope loves him, he will call it off.

Taylor: Hope gave Liam the out he was looking for, okay? He didn't go and try to track her down and find out why she dumped him. He moved on because he realized that the woman that he really loved had been standing right in front of him all along. And he realized that Hope was not ready for marriage. She has issues, Brooke. You know that.

Brooke: Given your daughter's history, the way she pursues unavailable men, I think she's the one with the issues. She can't make commitment. My daughter is a moral, disciplined young lady. And, yes, she has high standards. And Liam admires that. Once she sees him and is able to explain what happened, he'll forgive her. He'll understand. And he will take Hope back, because Hope is the one that he wants for life.

Taylor: (Sighs)

Bill: I don't want Hope interfering. Steffy has something going on. "Insurance," she called it.

Justin: What does that mean?

Bill: I don't know. But a woman like Steffy always has a plan.

[Hope remembering]

Hope: (Sighs)

Liam: Will you marry me?

Hope: Yes. (Laughs)

Hope: (Chuckles) (Sighs)

(Cell phone rings) (Ring)

Bill: Steffy.

Steffy: Bill, I need your help. You have to stop the gondola.

Bill: What?

Steffy: The gondolas at the top of Aspen Mountain. When I say, "Stop," I mean, right that second.

Bill: I can do a lot of things. I can't do that.

Steffy: Uh, you have to. Hope is a few cars behind me. She--she cannot get to Liam. So call somebody. Do whatever you have to do.

Bill: You're still in the gondola?

Steffy: I'm almost to the top, but we don't have that much time. Bill, please, she's trying to ruin this for us. We have to stop her.

Hope: Almost there.

Steffy: (Sighs)

Bill: Stopping the gondola-- that's her plan.

Justin: How are we supposed to do that and why?

Bill: I don't know. But I have to stop Hope from getting to the top of that mountain.

Justin: You're in Los Angeles. They're in Aspen. How could you possibly stop a gondola?

Bill: Watch me. It's me.

Oliver: Steffy and Hope will be at the summit soon. You want me to go up after them?

Bill: No, I need you to stop the gondola.

Oliver: I can't stop them. They've already gotten on.

Bill: Stop the gondola.

Oliver: That's impossible.

Bill: There has to be some kind of emergency mechanism.

Oliver: I don't have access to it.

Bill: Well, get access, and you better do it fast, because I'm gonna call you back in a minute, and when I do, you're gonna bring that thing to a halt.

Oliver: Mr. Spencer, I would really love to help you out, but what you're asking--

Bill: I'm not asking. Make it happen. (Sighs)

Taylor: Ooh, well, I didn't know you had a crystal ball, Brooke.

Brooke: You don't have to see into the future to recognize true love.

Taylor: (Laughs)

Brooke: Oh. (Scoffs) Now you're laughing at me.

Taylor: Oh, no, no, it's just cute, you know? How you're so childlike sometimes.

Brooke: Because I follow my heart?

Taylor: Uh, no, because you look at life like it's so simple. Everything's black-and-white. If something breaks, you go get it fixed. You lose a relationship? You cry a few tears, you say you're sorry, and you get it back. Life isn't that simple, Brooke.

Brooke: Hope didn't lose a relationship. It was stolen.

Taylor: That's how you want to see it.

Brooke: That is how it is, Taylor.

Taylor: No, you always make excuses for your children.

Brooke: I don't need to. Hope didn't do anything wrong.

Taylor: Well, she certainly didn't make Liam very happy, did she?

Brooke: That is why she's going to Aspen to apologize, and once she does, Liam will accept her apology, and they will be on solid ground again.

Steffy: Bill, I'm at the top of the mountain. I just got off. Stop it. Stop the gondola now.

Bill: I'm working on it. Give me a minute.

Steffy: No, we don't have a minute. Hope is right behind me. Stop it now!

Hope: He's there. He's there.

Oliver: Mike?

Mike: Oliver. What are you doing, Man?

Oliver: Did you see Ramona go up?

Mike: Yeah, a few minutes ago.

Oliver: Look, we gotta shut this thing down. I need to load my equipment. We've got a satellite feed up top.

Mike: Uh, we got people on board. We'll get 'em off, and then you can load your stuff.

Oliver: It can't wait. It's a live network feed--huge stuff.

(Cell phone rings)

Oliver: Excuse me hello, Sir.

Bill: Shut it down.

Oliver: It's my boss. We gotta do this now.

Hope: Oh, Liam.

Steffy: Bill, I can see Hope's car. She's almost here. You have to stop this gondola.

Bill: Now, Oliver, now!

Oliver: Mike, we are live in less than an hour come on, Man. Come on.

Mike: All right, "Hollywood." Load your stuff.

Hope: (Scoffs) No. No, no, no. I don't have time to stop now.

Steffy: (Laughs) Oh, you did it! It stopped! Oh, Bill, thank you, thank you, thank you.

Bill: It was a piece of cake. Don't mention it.

Steffy: Okay, keep it stopped for as long as you can, all right?

Bill: I'll do what I can. You're up to something, aren't you?

Steffy: Oh, yeah.

Brooke: I didn't want this for our daughters-- fighting for the same man. I implored Steffy to stay away from Liam.

Taylor: But you won't say the same thing to Hope.

Brooke: Hope deserves a chance to fix this.

Taylor: You're the only one who seems to think it needs to be fixed.

Brooke: Well, I really believe that Hope and Liam can be together again.

Taylor: Because that's the way it always goes for you and Ridge?

Brooke: Look, I know it's hard for my daughter to look up to me, but there are some things that she does admire, like my faith in Ridge and how Ridge and I have overcome obstacles. She knows that true love can survive when you're willing to risk everything for it.

Taylor: Well, I'm sorry, but Hope is not going to have that payoff.

Brooke: (Sighs) (Scoffs) How did this happen? History repeating itself. (Sighs) You and I have been competing for the same man for all of our adult lives, and now our daughters are doing the very same thing with Liam. Hope went to talk to him to explain everything that happened, and now Steffy is trying to put a stop to that. And there they are. They just keep on battling.

Taylor: Well, unfortunately, one of them is about to be heartbroken.

Brooke: Yes. And I'm sorry to say that it's going to be Steffy. So I hope that you're going to be there to support her.

Taylor: (Exhales quickly)

Hope: Come on. Start.

Liam: "Don't give up hope." I mean, was he talking about Hope? Or was he crazy? (Sighs)

Hope: I'm here, Liam. Come on. Come on. Look over here. Liam.

Hope: (Gasps) (Sighs)

Liam: Wow.

Steffy: Marry me.
