(Thunder rumbles)

Taylor: What are you doing here?

Pam: (Sighs)

Thomas: Hey. (Chuckles)

Pam: Hey, Thomas, I heard you were back from Paris.

Thomas: Yeah, Uncle Thorne and I, we came back early.

Pam: Well, how'd it go?

Thomas: Good. Good. Hope--she handled herself like a pro. The foreign press-- everyone can't get enough of her.

Pam: Which explains why she's still there in Paris and you're...

Thomas: I'm here...

Pam: (Chuckles)

Thomas: Workin' up a sweat.

Pam: You are.

Thomas: Uh, my father-- has he left already?

Pam: Well, I think he's with Taylor, but he's gonna be back soon, I'm sure. You--you want me to tell you that you're looking for him?

Thomas: I'm sorry. Dad's at Mom's?

Pam: Yeah.

Thomas: Did he say why?

Jackie: (Sighs) Oh, any sign of him?

Owen: Well, he did say he was gonna go check in on Taylor. Maybe that's where he is.

Jackie: Mm. (Sighs)

Owen: I mean, it is sort of Nick's thing, isn't it-- rescuing damsels in distress?

Jackie: Oh, Darling, Taylor’s hardly a "Damsel in distress."

Owen: No, but you don't go through what she has and then just forget about it the next morning. I don't care how strong or resilient you are.

Jackie: (Sighs)

Stephanie: We've been here before. I've asked you if we can't be friends again, and you've been very kind, but no doors have opened.

Brooke: So you're here... again.

Stephanie: Well, I told you wouldn't give up.

Brooke: (Sighs) What do you want from me, Stephanie?

Stephanie: Another chance. I know you have your doubts, and I don't blame you at all. How many times have I given you my word and then gone back on it? But I think this time is different. I do. I just... I want to have the chance to prove to you-- regain your trust. And eventually, I think that I can do that. I wish could say the same thing about Taylor.

Thorne: Taylor, what are you doin'? Why do you have that weird look on your face? Uh, now are you gonna invite me in from the rain, or what? (Chuckles)

Taylor: Thorne, I'm sorry.

Thorne: Yeah.

Taylor: Come on in. Come in. Come in.

Thorne: Thank you. (Sighs)

Taylor: Uh, let me get you a towel.

Thorne: No, no, it's okay. I won't melt. (Chuckles)

Taylor: (Chuckles)

Thorne: (Sighs) What?

Taylor: I-I'm just curious why you're here. Uh, oh, did--did Stephanie send you?

Thorne: Why would you think that?

Taylor: Because I-I ran into her earlier, and she was, uh, wanting to talk to me.

Thorne: Well, I'm sure to apologize again for what she did.

Taylor: Because if you're here on her behalf, I re--

Thorne: No, no. I'm here... because I've been thinking about you. How are you... really?

Man: Hey, where do you want these?

Thomas: Oh, I, uh, I cleared a space over here. Here. Thanks, Man. (Grunts)

Man: The plumber's on his way, right?

Thomas: Yeah, yeah, luckily, it's a minor leak. Uh, I shut off the water to the warehouse. I just--I didn't want to take any chances with these fabrics special-ordered from Indonesia. It would take months to replace them.

Man: Yeah, the old man would not be too happy with that.

Thomas: No.

Ridge: What wouldn't I be too happy with?

Thomas: Dad?

Man: Not to worry, Mr. Forrester. Thomas has everything under control.

Thomas: (Chuckles)

Ridge: So what happened?

Thomas: Well, I was upstairs lookin' for you when, uh, I got back. A pipe burst, so Ken and I, we moved all these in here for safekeeping.

Ridge: Where's Thorne?

Thomas: Gone for the day, I guess. Did you see Mom? Pam thought that's where you might have gone.

Ridge: No, I got sidetracked with a problem at International.

Thomas: Is something wrong with Hope?

Ridge: No, she and your granddad are actually on their way back tomorrow from Paris. So... you were lookin' for me?

Thomas: Yeah, uh...

Thomas: Look. (Sighs) I know there's a strain between us, Dad, and it's my fault. I-I lied about Brooke. I hurt you. I hurt her and Mom and Steffy. And I hate it that I did something so cruel. I-I know this doesn't change anything, but... (Sighs) I learned from this. And never again am I gonna do something that I know isn't right.

Ridge: Thomas, where are you going with this?

Thomas: (Sighs) Dad, you--you could have fired me, but you didn't, and I'm very grateful for that. Not that being in the basement is where I want to stay, but you did let me finish up some designs for Hope for the Future, and you seemed pleased with them. Designing--it's in my D.N.A. It's who I am. I feel like I've done my time in shipping. I-I want to revive Taboo.

Brooke: (Sighs) Stephanie, put yourself in Taylor’s place. You were her dearest friend.

Stephanie: I've made such a mess of this.

Brooke: I'm sorry that you're hurting. Maybe you can just keep trying to be sincere to Taylor, and--and maybe she'll come around.

Stephanie: I hope so. I hope so. (Sighs) What about us?

Brooke: (Laughs) Um, despite your apologies and your obvious remorse, everything is not okay between us. I'm not sure when or if it ever well be, but I know that people can change if they're honest and sincere. And I believe that you are... this time, anyway. That's all I can give you right now.

Taylor: You sure you don't want to get out of that damp shirt? I've got one of Thomas' I can--I can let you borrow.

Thomas: Oh, thank you. I'm okay, really. Thanks. Thank you. Mm. Are you, uh, here alone?

Taylor: Nope. I'm with you. (Chuckles)

Thorne: (Chuckles) You don't have to be a good sport on my account, okay? I hate like hell what my mother did to you.

Taylor: Oh, I-I don't even want to talk about Stephanie.

Thorne: (Sighs)

Taylor: I-- that's very sweet of you. I know you're concerned. It's sweet.

Thorne: But you do want to talk about something else.

Taylor: Oh, a-anything. Absolutely anything. How's Aly?

Thorne: She's good. Means everything in the world to me.

Taylor: Well, you've always adored her. She's very lucky. You're an amazing father.

Thorne: Well, Thomas and Steffy are lucky, too.

Taylor: (Chuckles)

Thorne: They have such a great mom.

Taylor: (Scoffs) Sometimes I wonder.

Thorne: There's nothing in the world you wouldn't do for your children, Taylor.

Taylor: Well, I couldn't reunite their family for them. They wanted that desperately.

Thorne: That wasn't your fault. I still don't understand why mother did that.

Taylor: She thought she had to because, uh, she needed to get Ridge back for me because that's the only way I could ever have him. As if... (Sighs) I would even want him that way. How could she think that? My so-called best friend. (Scoffs)

(Thunder rumbles)

Nick: Weren't you two supposed to be going home?

Jackie: Well, we were just trying to figure out where you went.

Nick: Well, you're too curious for your own good.

Jackie: Well, I was just asking about Taylor.

Nick: More like a cross-examination.

Jackie: Did you go and see her?

Nick: No, I got a call from one of our creditors, and I couldn't exactly put him off.

Jackie: Mm.

Nick: I'm going to go see Taylor tomorrow.

Jackie: Oh. (Chuckles)

Nick: Yes. Is there anything else you'd like to question me about, Mother?

Jackie: Oh, stop. (Chuckles) Actually, it's very sweet, you being so concerned about her. (Chuckles) Of course, she is such an absolutely fabulous woman.

Nick: Yes. (Chuckles) I was married to her, remember?

Jackie: Mm-hmm.

Nick: But that was then, Mother, this is now.

Jackie: Oh, she needs a man in her life, someone really special. (Chuckles) Someone like you.

Thorne: (Groans) What was Mother thinking? No wonder you said your friendship is over.

Taylor: Well, I-I don't wish anything bad on her. I don’t. I-I hope she has many more years on this earth.

Thorne: (Chuckles)

Taylor: But I... I just can't trust her anymore. You know, I-I can't ever let her back into my life, because it's cost me too much-- me and my children.

Thorne: I'm sorry, Taylor. I really am. It's insensitive what Mother said.

Taylor: Oh, she's just doing what she always does. She just wanted to find a way to get those shares back. If I know her, she's probably wishing she could stick a pen in Thomas' hand right now and force him to sign all of his shares back over.

Thorne: (Sighs)

Taylor: But she isn't going to do that, because she made me the trustee, and I'm in charge of those shares, and I'm going to see to it that those shares that she tried to bribe my son with stay in his hands. Thomas and Steffy are going to be the future of Forrester Creations.

Thomas: Come on, you can't be surprised that I'd want to get back upstairs. I'm a designer, Dad, a talented one you've said so many times.

Ridge: Thomas, this has nothing to do with your talent.

Thomas: So I'm being penalized. You'd never put it that way, but that's what it amounts to.

Ridge: There's nothing wrong with hands-on experience, my boy, whether it's shipping, the cutting room...

Thomas: You're not hearing me.

Ridge: Thomas, what exactly am I not hearing?

Thomas: I've got a whole line that's dead. I know you feel like it had to be this way, but... (Sighs) You know what? I-I don't want to argue with you. I'm grateful you didn't cut me out of your life when you shut down the line.

Ridge: I would never cut you out of my life. You're my son. I love you. I realize you'd like to resurrect the Taboo line before everyone forgets about it. But... there's a much bigger lesson here.

Thomas: I know what I did was wrong. If I'd have been more of a man, I wouldn't have gone along with Grandma's plan. And do I regret it? More than I can say. Would I ever let it happen again? Never. Dad, I've learned from this. I am stronger, and Taboo will be, too, if you give me a second chance. Will you, Dad? You know when something’s bad -- but you do it anyway?

Stephanie: You probably didn't deserve half the things I did to you all those years.

Brooke: (Chuckles)

Stephanie: Well, come on. One or two.

Brooke: Oh.

Stephanie: What a waste of time, right? Tryin' to keep you and Ridge apart. And it was so obvious you belong together. I don't know why I couldn't see that.

Brooke: You didn't want to.

Stephanie: Yeah, I suppose that's the truth. (Chuckles) That is the truth. (Inhales sharply) Oh, Boy.

Brooke: (Sighs)

Stephanie: Well, I see it now, and I accept it. I understand it. You belong together. You make him happy. He makes you happy. And the two of you are the future of the company. The future of the family, really. I'm okay with that.

Brooke: (Sighs)

Ridge: Thomas, I understand how much design means to you.

Thomas: I want to get back to doing what I love.

Ridge: I want that, too. You hurt a lot of people, my friend, by going along with your grandmother. Especially your mother.

Thomas: I know. I'm sorry.

Ridge: Hasn't been enough time go by. I know it feels like an eternity to you.

Thomas: Not ready, are you, to move me back upstairs to the executive floor?

Ridge: I'm not saying it won't happen. But I am saying it's not gonna happen by reviving Taboo. As popular as that line was, it caused a lot of problems for our family. I tried shutting it down. You went behind my back. That's not gonna happen again, Thomas.

Taylor: I'm sorry. I don't--I don't want to be a downer. (Chuckles)

Thorne: Oh, please, it's okay. I understand.

(Thunder crashes)

Taylor: Hmm. Wow.

Thorne: Of course, if I was a little less understanding, um, you know, who knows? Maybe I still wouldn't have an office in the basement of Forrester.

Taylor: Well, sometimes it pays to not be too accommodating.

Thorne: Mm, it's a little late for me to change, don't you think?

Taylor: No. I am. You know, actually, I'm-- I'm a little surprised that you're not upset with me.

Thorne: Why?

Taylor: Because I'm refusing to let Thomas give those shares back to Stephanie, and--and that's keeping them from you and--and your family.

Thorne: Gee, Taylor, my family's always been as generous; giving me, well, let's see... what percentage is it I have of the company?

Taylor: Oh, yeah, good point.

Thorne: (Chuckles) You know what? I am curious, though. Do you have the paperwork on the trust?

Taylor: Yeah.

Thorne: Do you mind if I look at it?

Taylor: Uh, sure.

Thorne: Thank you. You know, Taylor, as trustee of these stocks, you have a lot of say in Forrester Creations.

Taylor: I do?

Thorne: Yeah. Yeah, you do. You're in a very influential position here.

Taylor: I am?

Thorne: How are you going to vote?

Taylor: I'm a trustee. I don't have voting stock.

Thorne: Yes, Taylor, you do.

Taylor: Seriously?

Thorne: Yes, seriously. I've been looking into this for a while. This document confirms exactly what I thought.

Taylor: Did--why? Why did you come over here to show me this?

Thorne: Because you impressed me, the way that you came to Thomas' defense. You didn't let anyone step on you, Taylor. Now Thomas is down in the basement, and that is unfair.

Taylor: So you're defending us?

Thorne: Well, someone needs to.

Taylor: I just-- I didn't realize that...

Thorne: Well, now you do.

Taylor: Thank you.

Thorne: We underdogs need to stick together. But you still owe me an explanation. When you met me at the door-- weird look on your face.

Taylor: Oh, yeah, that, uh... (Chuckles) Oh, it's crazy. Um...

Thorne: (Chuckles) Yeah, well, now I'm really curious.

Taylor: You know, earlier, I was--I was at Dayzee’s, and there was this guy there named Anthony, and he does, um, like, psychic readings or predicting the future, and he--he said-- he said some things.

Thorne: What?

Taylor: He said it would be a stormy night, and--and that I would find a stray cat, and the rain, and--and the stray cat would be a sign that something, um, good was about to... come into my life. And...

Thorne: What, Taylor?

Taylor: Well, he said I would, uh, I would find my prince, and he would come right to my door and sweep me off my feet.

(Thunder rumbles)

Thorne: Am I your prince?

Taylor: It's a coincidence, you know? (Sighs)

Thorne: Or maybe not.

(Thunder rumbles)
