Eric: Oh, God. Huh. (Breathing heavily) (Coughs)

Thorne: Come on, Dad, I think we've seen enough.

Eric: (Clears throat)

Thorne: Come on.

Eric: She-- how could you do that? How could you do that to me? How could you do that to us?

Eric: Go get her, Thorne. Bring her up here.

Thorne: Dad, I-I don't think it's a good idea.

Eric: Bring her here.

Thorne: Dad--Dad-- Dad, maybe you should calm down, because if you confront donna with this camera, it's against the law. She could use this against you.

Eric: I know that. I know that. I want to talk to her. Bring her here now.

Brooke: So have you come up with a venue?

Ridge: Huh?

Brooke: For our wedding. It's right around the corner.

Ridge: Oh, yeah, yeah, I'm on it.

Brooke: It seems like you're off in another world.

Ridge: Just thinking about Dad. He's got a big decision to make.

Brooke: Your mother or my sister.

Ridge: I know which one I'm hoping for.

Brooke: We do have our differences-- Rick, who your father's going to choose, Taylor, Nick... (sighs) but at least we agree to disagree.

Ridge: Just like they do in congress.

Brooke: I thought we got along better than that.

Ridge: Well, okay, in the spirit of reaching across the aisle...

Ridge: (Grunting)

Rick: (Grunts)

Ridge: (Choking)

Rick: Damn you.

Ridge: Aah!

(Thud)

Woman: Well, hello, Mr. President.

Rick: Ladies, hi.

Woman: Haven't seen you up here in a while.

Rick: No, um, bad memories. (Chuckles) but I'm getting over that.

Woman: Obviously.

Woman: You know, look at you. Where's your cane?

Rick: Well, I've decided to retire that because of the big spring shoot today.

Woman: Will you be there?

Rick: How could I resist? (Chuckles)

Woman: Uh, well, we'd better get down there.

Rick: Yes, uh, please. Uh, ladies, you're all stunning. Break a leg.

Woman: Thank you.

Woman: Thank you.

Woman: Mr. President.

Rick: Hey, gorgeous. You lookin' for me?

Steffy: Dream on.

Rick: (Scoffs) Do--do you really have to be that way? Come on.

Steffy: (Groans) Stop trying to charm me. It's not gonna work. I know what you're doing, and I think it's sick.

(Birds chirping)

Stephanie: (Sighs) I don't know. Maybe I should leave some mementos of myself. I-- oh, what the hell? (Sighs) He's made his choice. (Sighs)

Stephanie: I've missed you so much. You've taken your first steps back to what you really deserve.

Stephanie: (Clucks tongue) Why do you even go there, you idiot? If he wants her, let him have her. (Sighs)

Donna: Hi.

Eric: Come in, Donna.

Donna: Thorne said that you-- you wanted to see me.

Eric: I hope I'm not interrupting anything.

Donna: No, no, I-I've just been waiting patiently for your call.

Eric: I see.

Donna: I think I know what this is about.

Eric: No, I doubt that. I doubt that very much.

Donna: Eric, you're-- you're upset. But--

Eric: (Sighs)

Donna: Why are you looking at me like that?

Eric: I made my decision. Our marriage is over.

Stephanie: Hi.

Thorne: What are you doin'?

Stephanie: Clearing out.

Thorne: Well, I'm glad I came to check on ya. Listen, I need to get back to work, but you and I need to talk.

Stephanie: Well, I don't want to talk about your father.

Thorne: Mother, stop.

Stephanie: What? I want to finish as quickly as I can. I don't want to be here if he shows up with Donna.

Thorne: He may not be coming back with Donna.

Stephanie: Yeah, right. I saw them last night-- I told you that-- kissing, and it wasn't a little peck on the cheek.

Thorne: Well, that was last night, Mother, okay? Today's today. Things change.

Stephanie: You know something?

Thorne: I, uh, I saw Dad earlier.

Stephanie: Uh, and? What, did he tell you he's gonna get a divorce from her or something?

Thorne: All I'm gonna tell you is not to give up hope, okay? Not yet.

Donna: You're ending our marriage? No, you--you're not serious.

Eric: I am serious. I want you to go to the house and take your things out of there. I want you to be out of the house by the time I get there tonight.

Donna: What-- what are you saying? Last night-- Thorne and the rest of your family. They've impressioned you.

Eric: No, this is not about my family, and you know it.

Donna: Oh, Eric, they have been ganging up on me since--

Eric: I told you this is not about my family.

Donna: Then what?

Eric: Because you betrayed me, Donna. That's what.

Donna: But-- betrayed you?

Eric: Yeah, with that punk boyfriend of yours, and you know it. Don't deny it.

Donna: Oh, God, Eric. Eric, I thought we were passed all of this. My God.

Eric: Don't--don't do that.

Donna: (Gasps)

Eric: Don't touch me. Go.

Donna: No. No, I'm not going anywhere. I'm not accepting this.

Eric: This is not your decision to make.

Donna: You haven't made a decision. Your family has.

Eric: Oh, God, you love putting it off on them, don't you? You'd love to put it on them, play this innocent girl, loyal and wonderful. I don't even know who you are, Donna. I don't think that the girl I thought you were is the girl you ever were.

Donna: My God, what-- what are you saying? Don't you-- Eric, you can-- you can't go back to Stephanie. My, God. You will be miserable.

Eric: Oh, I will be so much happier being with a woman who can't keep her hands off another man.

Donna: How could you think this of me? My God. What-- after everything we've been through. We can't end like this.

Eric: Yes, we can, and we are.

Donna: No! No, I love you, Eric. God, I don't know why you're saying these things, but you're not leaving me. You are my husband.

Eric: No, I'm not, not anymore.

(Birds chirping) (water lapping)

Brooke: Mm.

Ridge: Yeah, I have an idea for a, uh, for a venue.

Brooke: Let me guess. The Beverly Palace Hotel?

Ridge: No, much better than that. I'll give you a hint. This...

Brooke: Mm. Hmm.

Ridge: With waves crashing over our head.

Brooke: The beach?

Ridge: Mm-hmm.

Brooke: Again?

Ridge: Yeah.

Brooke: Oh, Ridge, that's perfect.

Ridge: Yeah, you know, our special place.

Brooke: And I have a good idea, too. It's a biggie.

Ridge: Uh-oh.

Brooke: We should have a rehearsal dinner, a grand soiree, a celebration for us complete with red carpet, photographers. We could even invite the press.

Ridge: That sounds pretty hefty.

Brooke: Gowns for everybody, tuxes for the men.

Ridge: You're making it sound like it's your first wedding again.

Brooke: Well, it is... sort of. My first and my last.

Ridge: Oh, Logan, I love you. I can't wait to make you my wife, and this time-- this time it's forever.

Steffy: It's all about my father.

Rick: What is?

Steffy: Your interest in me. You're using me to get back at him, just like you did with Phoebe. (Sighs)

Rick: You want a spot with that?

Steffy: I want you to leave me alone.

Rick: (Scoffs) Here, how about a nice little shoulder rub. How do you like that?

Steffy: How do you like this?

Rick: Aah! God, what is it gonna take with you? You're killin' me.

Steffy: Stop trying to use me.

Rick: Maybe I'm just attracted to you. Ever think about that?

Steffy: That's not what this is about. You're pursuing me because I'm Ridge Forrester's daughter. You're using me to get back at him. (Scoffs)

Rick: (Sighs)

Steffy: You know what I think? I think when you fell, you knocked something loose, 'cause you are not the same person anymore.

Rick: I'm sorry. I didn't catch a word of that. (Chuckles)

Steffy: Oh, you heard.

Rick: No, actually, I didn't. I was kind of paying attention to the way your lips move when they talk. It's hypnotic.

Steffy: Rick, you've dated my mom. You dated my sister. I have a boyfriend. You hate my dad, and you sent my boyfriend away. You'd be the last person I'd ever be interested in.

Stephanie: Do you know something?

Thorne: Dad is at the office talkin' to Donna right now. I think his eyes may have been opened about her, Mother.

Stephanie: In what way?

Thorne: That she'll never be you, not even close, loyal and true, someone with substance.

Stephanie: Sweetheart, you're the one that's loyal and true.

Thorne: No, you and Dad are supposed to be together. That's the way it should be, and that's the way it's going to be, okay? Now look, I've gotta get back to the office, but I want you to stay here. Dad is coming home. You wait for him, okay? He's gonna need you tonight.

Stephanie: Sweetheart, thank you for your support. You're so good.

Thorne: Hmm. I love you.

Stephanie: I love you.

Donna: I don't understand any of this. I don't want to go through life without you. Don't do that to me. My God. I'll call Brooke. I'll call Katie. I'll call Katie. They'll vouch for--for my love for you.

Eric: What? What?

Donna: I'll get down on my knees, anything.

Eric: Oh, stop it. Stop it, Donna. Stop it. What, you're hurting? Is that it? You're hurting? I'm hurting. What about what you did to me, what you-- and what I sacrificed for you? I gave up my marriage. I gave up my family. I-I fought my way back from-- from a heart attack and from a coma and to find what? To find you betraying me. You ripped my heart out. You... (crashing)

Eric: Ripped my heart out. What kind of a woman does that? What kind of a woman does that? (Breathing heavily) .

Steffy: Just admit it, Rick. You have issues with women.

Rick: With one woman at the moment, yes.

Steffy: No, seriously, it's creepy. You've gone from my mom, Ashley Abbott, to my sister, and now you're taking it out on my dad.

Rick: (Scoffs) I'll tell you what. Why don't you let me throw you over the edge and see how you feel about me.

Steffy: Oh, so you admit it. You're all about getting back to my father. Hmm.

Rick: Steffy, you got it all wrong, okay? Phoebe and I-- we had something very special. It was amazing, and your father took that away from us, and then he took Taylor away from me. So you say that I'm out to get your father. On the contrary, he's been walking all over me since I was a kid.

Steffy: Oh, and now you're exaggerating.

Rick: Uh, no, I'm not.

Steffy: Okay. What about your mom? You're not trying to break up my dad and Brooke?

Rick: (Scoffs) That is so different.

Steffy: Oh, that's payback for what he's done to you.

Rick: No, no, my--

Steffy: Only what he thinks-- what you think he's done to you.

Rick: My mother and Ridge have been married before, and before and before. Let me clue you in about why marriages bust, okay? Because the two parties involved are incompatible. It doesn't change. Look, your--your--your father may be great with somebody else, but with my mother, he is poison. I'm not gonna let him hurt my mom again. I'm going to do everything and anything to stop him.

Brooke: The beach, fabulous rehearsal dinner, it's all gonna be so romantic.

Ridge: Everything you've ever dreamed about. That's my theme for this wedding.

Brooke: Mm.

Ridge: The dream comes true.

Brooke: Mm. I love you. I want you so badly.

Ridge: Mm.

Brooke: Mm.

Stephanie: Okay. (Phone dialing)

Stephanie: Hi. Uh, yes, it's--it's, uh, Mrs. Forrester. Um, has Eric left the office yet? Oh, I see. He's still in there talking with her. Ok--okay. No, no, no. I'll--I'll speak to him later. Thank you so much. Okay, bye. (Sighs)

Stephanie: I wonder if Thorne has this all wrong.

(Knock on door)

Thorne: Hey, guys. Come in. Come in.

Man: So, uh, how'd we do?

Thorne: Outstanding. Thank you.

Woman: Interesting assignment.

Thorne: Yeah. (Chuckles) okay, listen, here, this is for you guys, for you and you.

Man: Thank you.

Thorne: And remember now, not a word about this to anyone... ever.

Eric: I can't do this, Donna. I can't do this. It's not good for me.

Donna: We had the perfect marriage.

Eric: Yeah, well, I thought so, too, but we didn't.

Donna: Yes, yes, we did. We had the perfect life until right here in this very room some lunatic poisoned you, and then everything went crazy. I-I was alone. You were gone. I was vulnerable, and Owen comforted me.

Eric: Oh, God.

Donna: But it's nothing compared to the love that I feel for you. You can make a big deal of this if you want, but I am not leaving you. I am completely committed to you.

Eric: Oh, come on. Come on. That's a lie. You tell me you don't-- you don't care for Owen. That's a total lie.

Donna: No, I care--

Eric: I've seen it. I've seen it with my own eyes.

Donna: Seen what?

Eric: Enough.

Donna: Seen what?

Eric: Enough, Donna. I've seen enough.

Donna: (Sobs)

Donna: Why are we doing this? Look, I know you still love me. Just-- please, just talk to me. Ta-- just open up. Tell me why you--

Eric: I can't. I can't.

Donna: You-- you're talking about ending our lives together. Just tell me. Tell me what's wrong. My God. How-- how could everything just change just so--so quickly? Whatever you think about Owen and me, it's wrong. It's wrong. Look, there has been one man that I've wanted to be with, and it's you, Eric. It's you. You're the love of my life, and you always will be. You have to believe me, please.
