Rick: This company has to change, and it has to change now. And it starts with us. (Grunts)

Brooke: Honey, you're not using your crutches.

Rick: Nope.

Marcus: There you go, man. Yeah.

Katie: Wow, you're really improving quickly.

Rick: I didn't do it alone. And I can't do this alone. Look, my dad made me president, but that doesn't mean his other children have accepted it. So I need to know that there's a strong support system behind me so that we can win this battle.

(Indistinct conversation)

Thorne: Why are you doing this?

Eric: I have to prove to myself that I can trust Donna.

Thorne: Well, obviously, you don't. Did you ever have to spy on mother?

Eric: Your mother's always been completely committed to me.

Thorne: Well, then turn the camera off, Dad. Look, donna has hurt you once. Why put yourself through that again? Don't you see that mother wants you and only you, and that has never changed? One word from you, Dad. One word, and this family can be restored.

Brooke: Why does it have to be us against them?

Marcus: Yes. I mean, aren't we all part of the same family?

Katie: Our clients want a united front. If they think there are internal power struggles--

Rick: Look, look, look, we've always been part of the Forrester family, just not given equal billing. It's the Logans' time to shine. You know, Dad's other family. And we can't let anything divide us.

Eric: Ridge? I want you to come back.

Ridge: Then you know what you have to do. (Scoffs) Maybe you don't. You don't know what to do about me, do you, Dad? Or Donna or mother. What the hell is wrong with you? Where'd your loyalty go? Where'd your dignity go? You give your cheating wife another chance, but not me? Forrester Creations is my legacy. Before your heart attack, you were ready to hand over the company to me. Now I can't even walk through the door.

Eric: That's not true. We need you, Ridge. I need you. Side by side, you and I can take this company to places it's never been before. This-- this isn't about job descriptions. This is about creating design that--that just-- that rocks the fashion world. This is about a father and son who can rise above anything. Say you'll do it, Ridge. Say you'll come back to us.

Stephanie: (Sighs) Rick has really divided this family.

Thorne: Rick, Donna. They're all a part of it, mother. They're all playing on Dad's sympathies.

(Knock on door)

Thorne: Come in.

Felicia: Owen?

Stephanie: What are you doing here?

Owen: Oh, I work here now.

Felicia: (Scoffs) Donna. That woman has no shame.

Thorne: Sorry, sis. Dad hired Owen.

Stephanie: Why would he do something like that?

Owen: Well, I helped save his life. He's grateful. I'd like to think that you'd be, too.

Stephanie: Well, I guess he's forgiven Donna.

Felicia: No.

Stephanie: Why else would he hire that bum?

Ridge: So you want me to come back, huh? To what?

Eric: To what you love.

Ridge: Designing.

Eric: Yes. Designing. That's what this business is all about. I mean, just because Rick is the president now--

Ridge: Oh, I get it. I get it. Yeah, I get it. You--you-- you want to make sure everybody's all right. Well, you can only walk the fence so long, Dad. Eventually you gotta come down one side or the other. You're taking this family and this company down a very dangerous road right now.

Eric: Wha--what? Because I gave your brother some very well-deserved, uh, credit for what--

Ridge: Yes! Yes! Dad, damn it. Rick is playing you and Brooke. And both of you are too blind to even see that.

Rick: I like the blue one. I'll tell you what, pull this one, please. Thank you.

Rick: Nice of you to finally show up, Donna.

Donna: Oh, um, I'm sorry. I was doing a proposal with Owen.

Rick: Oh, that's right. He's back. Can you please make sure not to mess that situation up? I don't want to lose our advantage with Dad.

Marcus: Oh, that's pretty cutthroat, Rick.

Katie: You know, a little compromise could make this transition a lot easier.

Rick: We need to secure our position first, Katie. Now look, we've already gotten rid of Ridge. If anybody else stands in our way, we will get rid of them, too.

Brooke: (Sighs) I am really not comfortable with this.

Rick: This is not a hostile takeover, Mom. It's just that Dad put me in charge, and I'm going to deliver.

Rick: (Sighs) Steffy.

Steffy: Your mail.

Rick: Steffy, I always thought you were like your mom, but I'm beginning to see a lot more of your father in you.

Marcus: So y-- so you want everybody to choose a side?

Rick: Ridge Forrester is no longer here, Marcus. In fact, I want any mention of his name removed from the premises. Every name plate, the directory in the lobby. Every time you see the name Ridge Forrester, I want you to replace it with mine.

Marcus: Oh, Steffy's gonna love that, man.

Rick: And I want it done by the end of the day.

Katie: Rick, your-- your cane.

Rick: (Clears throat) See what happens when you're really focused? You just lose all sight of the pain. We're in a war here, people. I've delivered a direct hit to Ridge Forrester. There was a seismic shift in power here at Forrester Creations. This is my vision. This is my company. And nothing and no one is going to stand in my way.

Owen: So how was the meeting with the new boss?

Donna: Thrilling.

Owen: Well, it had to be much more fun than the one I just walked in on. Stephanie, Felicia and Thorne. They weren't exactly overjoyed to see me.

Donna: Well, that's because they know what it means. Eric giving you this job means that he has no doubts about my feelings for you.

Owen: And what about my feelings? Got the two of us working here closely. No one's around. No one watching.

Rick: Ridge is the past, Katie. We are the future.

Katie: You might be able to erase Ridge from this building, but you'll never erase him from your mother's heart.

Rick: Ridge is no good for my mom, Katie. You know that. Listen to me. You love your sister. You want what's best for her. She can't have the best in a relationship or a marriage with Ridge. Think about it. It's gonna be the same old ugly story, okay? Ridge builds her up. And then she comes crashing down. I will be damned if I let that happen.

Eric: All of my children have a place at Forrester Creations.

Ridge: But I'm not your child, am I?

Eric: You know that's never mattered to me.

Ridge: Yeah, maybe it matters more than you realize, Dad. Maybe that's what's really going on here.

Eric: You have the love of your family and the respect of every person in this business. You cannot possibly doubt that. What Brooke said in her speech--

Ridge: Look, Brooke's in a rotten position, just like you are. But she has the knowledge to realize what a strain Rick is putting on our relationship. You are not doing that. The kid's being a selfish jerk, Dad, and you just want to reward him for it. I can't stop you, but I don't have to be a part of it either. I'm-- I won't be a part of that. No. No.

Brooke: Won't be long. (Sighs) You won't be needing that anymore.

Rick: It's time that we both get rid of our crutches, Mom.

Brooke: Don't say that. Please.

Rick: Okay, fine. You're right. In fact, I don't really want to talk about Ridge ever again.

Brooke: Rick, I really appreciate your concern, but I need to do what's right for me, for my life. I need you to move out. It's time for Ridge to move back in.

Rick: You can't do that. I'm not gonna let that happen.

Brooke: Ridge is my future. I love him. And we are going to have a life together with or without your blessing.

Stephanie: You hired Owen? You'd rather have that bum working here than your own son?

Eric: That's not what I'm doing.

Stephanie: Well, then enlighten me, because I just don't understand. Or maybe I don't want to.

Eric: I'm failing. I'm trying to pull this family together, and I'm failing.

Stephanie: You're doing the best you can, honey. If you need me, I'm here.

Eric: Stephanie, thank you.

Eric: I love you, Donna. But I have to know if I can trust you. If you can be faithful to me, then the world is ours. But I have to know that. Just a few more days. I'll be watching.

Brooke: I have some news.

Ridge: What's that?

Brooke: Pack a bag, because you are going home with me. I told my son it's time for him to leave, so he's moving out, and you, my love, are moving back in.

Ridge: Hmm. And this is happening when?

Brooke: This evening. Please come home. Dinner will be on me. And I can't stand it for one more night not to have these arms wrapped around me. You're not still angry with me, are you?

Ridge: Oh, Logan, it's kind of hard to stay angry at you.

Brooke: Good.

Ridge: I am still a little confused, though, still.

Brooke: I know that you weren't happy about the speech--

Ridge: And I don't really want to talk about it.

Brooke: You know what?

Ridge: Just--

Brooke: Okay. Neither do I.

Ridge: Good.

Brooke: I just know that when we ran into each other at the beach... (sighs) that was-- I was convinced of something. That what we share is more powerful and more important than any difference that could ever come between us.

Ridge: You really believe that?

Brooke: (Laughs) Yes, I do. Don't you? Ridge, I know that things are gonna turn around for you. I really believe that. It just didn't seem fair, how the family's arguing again and how you were pushed out of Forrester. And...

Ridge: Well, there is one thing that I'd like more than being president of Forrester Creations.

Brooke: No, there isn't.

Ridge: Yeah, there is. I'm looking right at her.

Brooke: So you'll be there?

Ridge: Yeah. How could I not?

Brooke: You're the only thing I want. I want you right there by my side. 'Cause when we're like that, there's nothing that can get in our way.

Rick: Oh, no, no, no! God, Ridge. You will not take my mother away from me again.

Ridge: Rick, obviously I'm not gonna get your blessing. But I'm very committed to having a life with your mother.

Rick: (Sighs) Aah! Oh, I gotta stop you. I gotta stop you. And I will.

Ridge: If you ever, and I mean ever, cross the line with my daughter, I'll kill you. Cross the line with my daughter...

Rick: Steffy.

Steffy: Let's get something straight. You can play president all you want. Try and eliminate my dad's name from the building? Well, he'll be back. The real president of Forrester Creations. And don't you dare disrespect me just because I'm his daughter.

Rick: Steffy, I'm sorry. Really, I-I'm-- I've been acting like a jerk, and, um, I promise you, it's-- it's not gonna happen again. Really. The truth is, Steffy, we need you on our team. You're a very valuable asset to the family and--and to this company, an asset that I intend to use.

Rick: Oh, Ridge. (Laughs) You freaked out about the Phoebe situation. Just wait till I get my hands on your other daughter. (Chuckles) And then you'll go all madman on me-- one thing that my mother cannot stand-- and then I'll be rid of you once and for all.
