Brooke: What took you so long?

Ridge: Oh, Taylor and I had a lot to talk about.

Brooke: I can't believe that she's trying to get you not to marry me. I mean, where does she get off? I'm sure you didn't listen to a word that she had to say.

Ridge: Actually, I did listen to her. She's the mother of three of my children. What she thinks and how she feels is always gonna matter to me, Logan.

Rick: Taylor, what do you mean you can't go through with our wedding? Why would you back out on our wedding?

Taylor: (Sighs)

Rick: All right. Look. Look. This--this is about Ridge, right? And--and--and some feelings that you still have for him? Did you--did you see him at the party? What happened? What did he do to you? Taylor, answer me!

Taylor: It's nothing Ridge did. It's me.

Taylor: I long for him.

Rick: (Sighs)

Taylor: I'm still in love with Ridge.

Rick: (Sighs)

Donna: It's over. Eric served me divorce papers. Our marriage is finished because of Pam and her threats. But for you to tell Stephanie-- god, the risk we are taking!

Owen: Donna, it had to be done. Stephanie can help.

Donna: You don't know that. This plan of hers could-- could be a disaster. Look, we have no idea if--if she's listening, if she's watching us. She could be right outside this window here, Owen. I mean, she's crazy. She--she could do anything at any time.

Owen: Listen, you know what? Look it. Calm down. You've gotta keep it together, especially now.

Pam: (Chuckles) Somebody's having a bad day. (Chuckles) could she be upset about those divorce papers? So you really went through with it, Donna. That's good. That is very, very good.

Eric: I believe you like your martinis very, very dry. I haven't forgotten that, have I?

Stephanie: No. Thank you.

Eric: (Chuckles) Good.

Stephanie: What is all of this?

Eric: I'm trying to express to you how sorry I am for everything I've put you through lately. Donna Logan is out of my life, and I want this to be a new beginning for us, for you and me and our family and... let's drink to that.

Stephanie: Well, thi-- this is lovely, and believe me, it's quite unexpected. But, um, before we go any further, I have to talk to you about Donna.

Eric: Donna Logan is a dead subject in this house. I'd rather talk about you-- you and me and our future together.

Stephanie: Eric.

Eric: Stephanie, what? What is it? I thought you'd be happy about that.

Stephanie: She loves you. She's never stopped loving you. You have to understand and know the truth, okay? She agreed to the divorce in order to protect you. Everything that she's done has been to protect you.

Rick: You're still in love with Ridge?

Taylor: It isn't just that. It's--it's us. (Sighs) you know, you want to have children one day, children of your own. And I can't--

Rick: (Sighs)

Taylor: I can't give you that.

Rick: No. No. No. I know what this is about. It's about that ridiculous conversation you had with my mom, right? I mean, why are you listening to her, Taylor? You know how much she hates us being together.

Taylor: I kissed him, Rick.

Rick: Oh, god.

Taylor: I just was there, and I realized that all of the feelings that I had for him, that they're still there. And... I know I still love him.

Rick: (Sighs)

Taylor: And if I--if I've got these ideas in my head that maybe one day we could somehow get back together, it--

Rick: Taylor, listen to me. Listen to me, he is using you, just like every other woman he has ever been with. He is using you to stroke his ego. He's gonna break your heart.

Ridge: Still upset?

Brooke: Yes, I'm still upset. Taylor's trying to steal you away from me when she knows we're about to get married.

Ridge: Taylor doesn't think that you and I have a future together.

Brooke: She actually said that?

Ridge: She thinks the combination of you, me and Nick is gonna be lethal.

Brooke: I know what Taylor thinks. I even asked her if that's why she gave up Jack, to cause problems in hopes to sabotage our wedding plans.

Ridge: Ooh. No wonder she's upset with you.

Brooke: Well, it is possible she could have had an agenda.

Ridge: Taylor was just trying to protect her son. That was her motivation, Logan. Now it doesn't necessarily mean it made it any easier for us.

Brooke: Because my being around Nick is a threat to you.

Ridge: (Sighs) Lately I feel kind of like I'm on a treadmill, trying to catch something that's continually just out of my reach, like you, our marriage, our family. I-it's what I want most, Brooke. You are the love of my life, but something is kind of getting in our way. Excuse--oh, excuse me. Someone.

Brook: (Sighs)

Ridge: I told you that I would share Jack, but I will not share you, especially not with Nick.

Brooke: Nick is Jack's father. That is all. I love you. You are the love of my life. I want to spend the rest of my life with you, Ridge. But I can't if you're not gonna share in this responsibility of raising this little boy. He needs to be in a good home in a good environment around grownups who are going to be civil with each other.

Ridge: When am I going to realize that you're always right?

Brooke: Right now would be a good time.

Ridge: I need to learn to be more tolerant. I need to be... (sighs) less angry about a lot of things, not get upset about little things, like you and Nick and Jack posing for a picture.

Brooke: (Sighs) Oh, you know what? This is all new to us. There's bound to be some difficult moments.

Ridge: If we're gonna make this work, can we kind of try and keep those to a minimum? It's you and me, Logan. It's you and me here. I'm always gonna care about Taylor, but that relationship is very much in the past. It's you and me from now on. I'm gonna be your husband again.

Brooke: (Giggles)

Ridge: And this time, it's gonna be forever. And nothing and no one is gonna get in the way of that.

Taylor: I'm so sorry, Rick. But wouldn't it be worse if I didn't say anything at all? I just don't-- I don't think I've ever gotten him out of my heart.

Rick: (Sighs)

Taylor: (Sighs) And I realize you still have issues with Ridge.

Rick: Issues? Iss-- this man has taken everything from me. And there's no way in hell he's gonna get away with it this time. There's no way.

Taylor: (Sighs)

Rick: (Sighs)

Taylor: Rick, you deserve a woman who can love only you and be there for only you. I'm not that woman. I know you're disappointed. I know that. I'm so sorry, but I'd rather say this now and face up to it than take vows that I can't live up to. (Sighs)

Rick: Taylor, don't you get it? You're the one who's gonna get hurt here. My mother has a vice grip on that man. If--if you leave me, you're gonna get left out in the cold. You're gonna be all alone because my mother is gonna be with Ridge. And you're gonna be living for what? A-a-a fantasy? A fantasy that's never gonna happen?

Taylor: I already know exactly what's going to happen. Your mother's going to drive Ridge away, just like she always does. And then she's going to run back to Nick. And I'm willing to take that risk. I'm... (sniffles) I'm willing to wait and be there when it does happen. I just want to be there.

Rick: (Scoffs) Be there. Be there for Ridge.

Taylor: For Ridge.

Brooke: Speaking of tolerant, I've been eyeing somebody at the office lately.

Ridge: Really?

Brooke: Mm-hmm. He's tall, dark and extremely handsome.

Ridge: Just your type.

Brooke: Mm-hmm.

Ridge: So tell me, would you like him to hold you?

Brooke: Oh, yes.

Ridge: Mm. Would you like him to kiss you?

Brooke: Yes.

Ridge: Would you like him to tickle you?

Brooke: Tickle me?

Ridge: Yeah.

Brooke: (Laughs)

Pam: Cry, cry, cry. That's what you get, hot tamale, for takin' away my sister's husband. (Gasps) this damn headache. Why won't you go away? Stay away.

Pam: (Sighs)

Owen: Come on, Stephanie's plan is gonna work. She's gonna find Pam. She's gonna have her put away somewhere where she can hopefully get the help that she needs. You could still have a chance with Eric.

Donna: I know that's not what you want.

Owen: I love you, Donna. But I know that I'm never gonna really have you until you've had your chance with Eric. So be what it may, I'm here for you.

Donna: Thank you.

Stephanie: Pam is desperate to see you and me together again, and so in her mind, she's-- she's just twisted everything so it's seems perfectly reasonable and justifiable.

Eric: Yeah, but how long has she been off her medication?

Stephanie: Well, according to Mother, a number of months, but she's been off her meds before. I don't think that's what this is. I think that something else has happened, something that's just pushed her over the edge.

Eric: (Sighs) For her to just snap like this? For her to snap like this and-- and blackmail Donna this way?

Stephanie: Well, she's-- she's frightened donna so badly. That's why she agreed to this quick divorce.

Eric: (Sighs) Oh, god. The more I hear, the more-- the more sense it makes to me that Donna would be able to turn her back on me so abruptly.

Stephanie: She also made Donna promise she wouldn't tell anybody. Fortunately, she confided in Owen, and he came to me. And he was right to do so. I mean, I've got to get-- I've gotta figure out where Pam is. I've gotta get her into a hospital.

Eric: Yes, yes, but how are you gonna do that? You can't involve the police.

Stephanie: No, I know. I-I have an idea that-- I think I know how I can get her to come here, but I'm gonna need your help. You've gotta trust me, Eric. . Bipolar disorder is challenging.

Rick: Taylor, please. Please don't go down this path again. Ridge is gonna let you down like he's done time and time again with my mom, with you. You know. You've been there. You've done that. Why would you set yourself up to get hurt again when I can offer you so much more? We could have had a wonderful life together. And now that's not gonna happen, is it? Because of Ridge.

Rick: (Sighs)

Brooke: Mm.

Ridge: Have I eased your mind?

Brooke: Why? Was I anxious about something?

Ridge: Oh, then it worked.

Brooke: (Chuckles) I am concerned about Rick, though. I mean, if Taylor's still hung up on you, they certainly can't go through with this marriage. It just can't happen.

Ridge: Yeah, Taylor knows that. She's planning on talking to him today.

Brooke: Oh, he's gonna be devastated. But it's better to find out now than after the wedding.

(Cell phone rings) (rings)

Ridge: Hello?

Rick: Hope you're happy.

Ridge: What can I do for you, Rick?

Rick: You can meet me at the Sky Lounge now.

Ridge: All right, I'll be there soon.

Brooke: Is he all right?

Ridge: He and Taylor must have had that talk. He wants to meet me at Forrester.

Brooke: I'll go with you.

Ridge: No, no, no. Let me-- let me deal with it. He's obviously looking for someone to blame here, so if it makes him feel better to dump on me, so be it.

Pam: I'm gonna finally make it up to you, Steph. What I couldn't do when we were little, when I couldn't save you from Daddy.

Rick: Ridge Forrester.

Rick: Ultimate ego maniac. Mr. Super stud. Gets all the women and breaks their hearts along the way. Must be pretty cool being you. Unless you're the guy that has to clean up after your mess, and that would be me. I'm sick of this, man. Ever since I was a kid, I watched the--the misery you put my mother through. You destroyed my parents' marriage. And Taylor-- (chuckles) Ridge, you turned the most secure woman into a raging alcoholic. It's amazing. Well, I'm done with this. You left my father and me in your wake, your filthy wake, like we were nothing. Well, I'm not nothing. It is time that somebody stands up to you and your stupid insecure games. Game over, pal.
