Brooke: Are you gonna stand here and listen to this?
Ridge: Logan, just calm down.
Brooke: She's telling you not to marry me.
Taylor: Brooke, you are taking this out of context.
Brooke: And what kind of context might that be?
Taylor: All right, would you let me explain?
Brooke: You don't need to explain, Taylor. I know what I heard.
Taylor: (Sighs) Ridge, could I just have a minute with Brooke alone?
Ridge: No, no way.
Brooke: Oh, by all means, give us some privacy.
(Phone buzzes)
Ridge: Ridge. What-- well, can't this wait? Okay. Dad wants to see me in his office. Why don't we all go over there? It's his first day back.
Brooke: Taylor and I have some things we need to discuss.
Taylor: Okay. That's fine. It's fine. Just go ahead and go.
Ridge: (Sighs)
Eric: Hmm.
Eric: (Sighs) how could you do this to us? Our marriage may be over, but I will never be over you. (Waves crashing)
Pam: It's all in your hands then, donna. You see, whatever happens is on your head. Just stay away from Eric, and nobody gets hurt. (Waves crashing)
Eric: Hmm.
Stephanie: Well, this is a sight for sore eyes.
Felicia: Hmm.
Thorne: Hey, Dad.
Felicia: Welcome back, Daddy.
Thorne: (Chuckles)
Eric: Hey.
Felicia: This must feel so good.
Eric: Yeah. Feels like a whole new life.
Thorne: Well, that's exactly what it is, and no Donna.
Eric: Can we agree not to mention Donna's name?
Thorne: I'm sorry, Dad. I should have realized that it's a sensitive topic.
Eric: Yeah.
Ridge: Well, there he is, no worse for wear.
Thorne: (Chuckles)
Ridge: Good to have you back, Dad.
Eric: Thank you, Ridge.
Stephanie: Hi, honey. I have an appointment, so you'll have to excuse me. Don't overtax him.
Felicia: Nah, he's in good hands, Mom.
Thorne: We can handle it. (Chuckles)
Brooke: I thought I could trust you. We had an understanding. You gave me Jack to raise and to love, and now you're trying to steal away my fiancé?
Taylor: I'm not trying to steal anybody, Brooke. When I handed over Jack to you, I-I had no idea it would cause these problems with you and Ridge.
Brooke: There are no problems.
Taylor: Come on. I was there. I heard the whole thing when you two were arguing. I heard all of it, at Jack's birthday party, no less.
Brooke: Well, that is none of your concern. Ridge and I will work it out.
Taylor: Well, okay. I wonder if that's even possible.
Brooke: Why would you even say something like that? I know why. Because you don't want Ridge and me to work it out. That's probably why you gave me Jack in the first place, hoping that he would cause problems between us. So that was your plan all along, wasn't it, Taylor?
Taylor: (Scoffs)
Owen: Hey, how about a walk on the beach?
Donna: (Scoffs) Where Pam can see me?
Owen: Look, Donna, come on.
Donna: No, no, no. She's out there, Owen. She's watching. I-I'm living in a fishbowl.
Owen: Look, you can't continue living your life like this. If Pam is out there, I'll go out there, and I'll find her, and I'll put an end to this.
Donna: No, no, we can't start looking for her, okay? She'll know it, and she'll do something.
Owen: I don't care. I'm not afraid of her.
Donna: Listen to me. She has hurt the people I love, and she'll do it again, only this time, it-- it will be my sister or my-- my niece or Eric again. (Knock on door)
Owen: Just--
Donna: Don't answer. It could be Pam.
Owen: The back door's right there, and it's open, all right? Just--just relax. Stephanie.
Stephanie: Owen, uh... (Sighs) Donna here? Of course, she is. Hello, Donna.
Donna: What are you doing here?
Stephanie: Well, I'd like to talk to you... alone.
Owen: Look, Stephanie, I don't think that's a good idea.
Donna: No, it's-- it's fine, okay? I'll--I'll be fine. It's fine.
Donna: What the hell do you want?
Stephanie: Well, I'd like the truth. I mean, is this marriage over, or is this just a game that you're playing?
Thorne: So what's up, Dad? What did you want to tell us?
Eric: (Sighs) I look at the three of you, I feel so blessed.
Felicia: Ah, we're the ones who are blessed just to have you back.
Ridge: It's a good day, Dad...
Thorne: (Chuckles)
Ridge: One we never thought might come again.
Eric: Well, you're seeing it. That's what I wanted to talk to you about. I'm gonna put all my energies back into this company right now.
Ridge: But you are gonna start slow, right?
Eric: No, no, I'm not. You know, this company was my passion for decades, and I feel like I've lost that, but I'm gonna get it back now.
Stephanie: Why this sudden decision to end the marriage?
Donna: (Scoffs) what, you're complaining? You have him, Stephanie. What more do you want from me?
Stephanie: What I have is a man who is as equally confused by your behavior as I am. What is going on?
Donna: I gave him up for his own good.
Stephanie: Because you realize that he belongs with me, or that the marriage was a mistake in the first place, or that you never loved him in the first place?
Donna: No. Stephanie, I loved him.
Taylor: Don't you dare accuse me of using my son to cause problems for you and Ridge. No, I gave you my baby so that he could have a nice stable family home. If anybody's using the baby, it's you, so you can stay close to Nick. Just admit it. You know you're in love with him.
Brooke: You would love for me to say that.
Taylor: No, what I'd love is for you to be honest for a change.
Brooke: You want honesty? Ridge and I are in love, and we're getting married. And don't try to talk him out of it.
Taylor: Then great. Then act like you're getting married. Act like Mrs. Ridge Forrester. Support your fiancé instead of henpecking him. Gosh, Brooke. You know, if you--if you keep acting like this, you really will blow it.
Brooke: And you'll be waiting in the wings, is that it? Taylor, you did something really wonderful... (Sighs) when you gave up Jack, and I am going to love him, and I am going to raise him, and I am gonna be the best mother that I can be, but I don't want you to tell me how to do it, and I don't want you to tell me how to deal with Nick, 'cause Nick is a part of Jack's life, and Ridge and I are going to deal with that. So just stay out of it, 'cause it's really none of your business.
Taylor: This is none of my business? I carried that baby in my body for nine months. I gave him life. Don't you ever tell me this is none of my business.
Stephanie: I don't know how you can tell me that you love him and then just walk away like this.
Donna: Are you finished?
Stephanie: All right, donna. Good luck with Owen. He seems like a nice enough fellow. You'd better get some counseling.
Donna: Good-bye, Stephanie.
Stephanie: Good-bye, Donna. (Sighs) I hope I never see you again.
(Door slams)
Taylor: Let me make something perfectly clear, Brooke. I'm going to be very involved in that child's life for the next 18 years. Just because I said you could be raising him doesn't mean that I don't care about him or want to know about his well-being. I am going to be watching him very closely.
Brooke: Is that a threat?
Taylor: What, you don't think it's normal that I would want to know how my child is
Brooke: The same way you would love and care about Ridge?
Ridge: Well, looks like I got here just in time.
Brooke: Oh, yeah. (Sighs) Taylor is resorting to form, making threats.
Taylor: I'm trying to protect Jack.
Brooke: And protect you, Ridge. Why don't you just come out and say it? You want my fiancé.
Ridge: Logan, will you stop? May I speak to Taylor alone, please?
Brooke: Why, so she could convince you not to marry me and then get you to run back to her? We all know that's what she wants.
Taylor: I'm out of here, okay?
Ridge: No, no, no, you're not. No, you're not. Brooke, please.
Brooke: Okay. I'll see you later. Mm.
Donna: I don't know how much longer I can take this. I mean, for all we know, Pam was watching Stephanie and me the whole time.
Owen: Look, you, Eric and your family are never gonna be safe, Donna. Don't you see that? That's why we have to go out there, and we have to find her.
Donna: Will you stop...
Owen: We gotta do something.
Donna: Saying that? My god, I can't risk it. I can't. (Sighs) you know, and I-I can't talk about this anymore, because my head is going to explode, okay? I just--I-I need to get some air.
Owen: I don't want you going out there alone.
Donna: I will be right outside the door, okay? I have my phone. I'll be fine.
Owen: Hey, it's Owen. I need to see you. It's about Eric and Donna. There's something I think that you need to know. (Seagulls calling) (waves crashing) (cell phone rings)
Donna: Oh, god, Pam. Hello?
Eric: Donna, it's Eric.
Donna: Hi.
Eric: I'm calling to find out if you'd done anything about our divorce yet.
Donna: No. No, I-I have not.
Eric: Well, it's about time we did, don't you think?
Donna: Yes, yes, of course.
Eric: I asked my attorney to meet me here at the office this afternoon. I think it would be helpful if you came this afternoon, as well, with your attorney. Donna?
Donna: Yeah. Yeah, we'll be there. (Sighs) look, I-I have to go. I'm sorry. (Sighs)
Stephanie: What is so mysterious that you can't--
Owen: Hey, shh! Donna didn't tell you the whole story.
Stephanie: What's the story?
Owen: She didn't leave Eric for me. I wish it were true, but it's not. What she did, she did for Eric.
Stephanie: And why would Donna do that?
Owen: Because your sister's blackmailing her. Somebody in her family if she didn't end the marriage.
Stephanie: Why should I believe you?
Owen: Why would I lie about something like this? She's gonna go after Eric again, Stephanie, and she thinks that she is doing this for you. That's why Donna ended the marriage.
Donna: (Sighs) (cell phone rings)
Donna: Hello?
Pam: I am not happy. Don't bother lookin' around, Donna. I can see you, but you can't see me.
Donna: Look, if--if this is about Stephanie, I--she just wanted to make sure it was over, okay? And I-I told her it was, okay, Pam? Because it I-it is. I haven't even seen Eric.
Pam: I'm not talking about that, you nitwit. She's back. Stephanie is back.
Donna: What?
Pam: She's in the house right now. What is happening?
Donna: No, no, she--she's gone.
Pam: She slipped back in not one minute ago. I want to know why, Donna.
Donna: I-I don't-- I don't know. I don't know why, okay? But I'll handle it.
Pam: You'd better right now. (Groans)
Owen: Come on, you must know how Donna feels about Eric. She begged and pleaded for him to take her back for weeks. Why would she do a 180 like this? It's because of your crazy sister. Look, we need your help to find her. You're the only person that...
Donna: Stephanie.
Owen: She's gonna listen to.
Donna: What are you doing here? I asked you to leave. Now go. Go, get in your car and go home.
Owen: Look, Donna, it's okay. I told her about Pam. She knows what she's trying to do.
Donna: No. No, how could you? She'll kill someone.
Owen: That's exactly the reason why we need to end this.
Donna: No, no, it's not gonna end. It's not gonna-- she just called me. She's watching us. She'll kill Eric. Owen, how-- how could you do this?
Stephanie: Is this the truth?
Donna: (Sighs)
Stephanie: Is this the truth?
Donna: Of course it's the truth. My god, don't you get it? Your sister's crazy. Why do you think I broke it off with Eric? My-- (Sighs) I love him. I'll always love him. (Sighs)
Taylor: I am so sorry. I am so sorry. This is exactly what I was talking about. I'm trying to put Jack first, make him my priority, and then you get caught in the middle.
Ridge: I understand.
Taylor: Do you? (Sighs) I wonder if anybody really understands what I've been through this year.
Ridge: Doc, I was married to you. We raised three kids. I know what kind of mother you are.
Taylor: Well, then you would also know how painful it was for me to give up my son.
Ridge: I was in awe of your ability to do that.
Taylor: (Sighs) Of all the accomplishments I've ever done in my life, I think being a mother has been the most rewarding and the most fulfilling one.
Ridge: Yeah, well, our-- our kids are a testament to that, that's for sure.
Taylor: (Scoffs) I was so devastated when jack couldn't bond with me. It's like it shattered the very foundation of everything I even believed about myself.
Ridge: No, Taylor. It was the ultimate proof of everything you believe about yourself. What you did was something only a mother who is willing to make the supreme sacrifice for her child would have done. Regardless of how painful it was, you should be very proud of what you did for Jack.
Taylor: You do understand. (Sighs) I guess that's why you're the love of my life. (Sniffles)
Ridge: You don't have to worry about Jack.
Taylor: No, I--
Ridge: I'm not gonna let you down, I promise.
Taylor: I know that. I know that you don't want to do that. I know that. It's just that when I try to look at all the options here, I-I don't know. There's really only one that--that I can think of that sounds right, and it isn't living with you and Brooke.
Ridge: What are you saying, that you want to get him back?
Taylor: I'm not saying that either.
Ridge: Well, then what is it?
Taylor: You know, this whole idea of three people raising the baby-- it just doesn't-- it doesn't seem right to me. It still puts jack right in the middle of all the turmoil with you and Nick and Brooke, and that isn't good for him. I don't want that for him. I-- (Sighs) the only thing I can think of as what would be best for him is for him to be raised by his parents-- Brooke and Nick. When--when you think about how this baby was conceived-- I mean, it's almost like it was meant to be.
Ridge: Taylor, um, if Brooke is meant to be with Nick, where does that leave me?
Taylor: Maybe you should be with me.
