Donna: Oh, Eric. I hoped, and I prayed that you would come out of this, and you have. I will never, never let you go. I will never give up on us. Please, please don't give up on us. Oh, you-- you just have to have faith, Eric. You just have to have faith in our love, faith in--in what we had. And we can have everything all again. We just-- we just both have to want it badly enough.

Stephanie: I'm not gonna let Donna anywhere near Eric.

Brooke: You can't keep her away from him forever. She's his wife.

Stephanie: Didn't she give up that privilege when she slept with another man?

Brooke: It's not your place to decide.

Stephanie: If she held the marriage in such--such regard, why did she become involved with Owen?

Brooke: She's not involved with Owen.

Stephanie: Oh. (Scoffs) Eric saw them together. He's the one that decided to throw her out of the house.

Brooke: No. Eric had a reaction, a very normal reaction. Of course he was hurt by what he saw.

Stephanie: Oh, my God! This is like talking to crazy people. Of course he had a reaction. And it almost killed him.

Brooke: Fortunately, it didn't. But what happened between Donna and Owen isn't the way it appeared.

Stephanie: How much is Eric supposed to endure?

Brooke: He needs to know all the facts so that he can make a clear decision.

Stephanie: Well, here's the fact. He belongs here with me, with our family, and not in some lame-ass marriage with your sister.
(Cell phone rings)

Brooke: (Sighs) (rings)

Brooke: Hi, sweetie.

Ridge: You still with Mother?

Brooke: (Inhales) No. We're finished.

Ridge: Good. Because I need to see you right away.

Brooke: I'll be there soon.

Brooke: I am marrying your son, Stephanie. And I know that you and I have had our share of conflicts through the years, but we've managed to coexist because of our children. I really don't want to go backwards. I know that you want to be with Eric, but that relationship isn't going to work unless it's something that Eric wants in his heart. I really believe that it's up to Eric to decide himself what his future holds, not you.

Donna: What? W-what is it? Do you--do you need something?

Eric: (Sighs) How long?

Donna: How long were you in a coma?

Donna: Two months.

Eric: And...

Eric: You couldn't... wait?

Donna: Oh, Eric... (crying) Yes. Yes, you were gone for two months, but let me tell you what happened when you were... off in the terrible world. It may have seemed like an instant to you, but those two months were an eternity to me. I was so lost. I was so confused. I spent so much time at the hospital with you, but... when I came home here, Eric, I was--I was all alone. I was overwhelmed, Eric, with loss and sadness. I-I felt like I was in a dark tunnel with no way to get out. And then your son, Ridge-- he tried to take ownership of the company. I-I wouldn't let him. I wouldn't let him, Eric. I fought him because I knew that's not what you would want. And then over time, he--he lost faith that you would ever wake up. He wanted to take you off the ventilator.

Eric: Hmm? What?

Donna: He--he pressured me, Eric. He pressured me. Oh, Eric, it gets worse. I wouldn't let him. I wouldn't let him. And the one person by my side was Owen. He was not only a friend to me, Eric. He was a friend to you. He helped me defend your wishes. He was there for me when I needed someone as a friend.

Donna: This isn't about Owen. It's meaningless compared... to what I feel for you.

Donna: What you saw was a woman mourning the loss of her husband, needing support in the most difficult time of her life. I never-- I never stopped loving you.

Donna: Please, Eric, please tell me that you believe me.

Brooke: (Gasps)

Brooke: So... this is what you had me rush all the way home for?

Ridge: Oh, yeah.

Brooke: Mmm.

Ridge: I thought we'd have a little meeting in the bedroom.

Brooke: Hmm. What's on the agenda?

Ridge: You and me.

Brooke: My favorite subject.

Ridge: I wanted to get you away from Mother before there was any bloodshed. Did I succeed?

Brooke: Hmm. Barely.

Ridge: She's just trying to protect Dad the best way she knows how.

Brooke: Well, she's going way overboard, Ridge.

Ridge: Well, that may be, but Dad's in a fragile state. But still, with everything that's happened-- it's incredible, isn't it?

Brooke: I know. It was wonderful to see him. He still has a long way to go, though.

Ridge: Yeah, but he's improving every day. It won't be long before he's back on his feet. Everything's coming together, Logan. The company's back in our hands. And more importantly, Dad's back where he belongs-- with his family.

Brooke: I wouldn't get your hopes up just yet.

Ridge: He's made it pretty clear he doesn't want to have anything to do with Donna. He's chosen mother.

Brooke: Ridge...

Ridge: We have to accept that decision.

Brooke: He just came out of a coma after two months. I mean, we can't really assume that he's made a decision. Just make sure that he recovers, and then Eric can do what he wants.

Ridge: Okay, well, whatever happens, you and I have to promise each other we're not gonna let all these family issues come between us, okay? We've waited too long for this. And whatever happens with Dad, Mother and Donna, that will work itself out. I know you want to protect your sister, and I want to protect my mother. But you and I have our lives. We have to live it. We have to love each other and be parents to R.J. and Hope. I don't want to let anything, anything come between us ever again.

Brooke: I like the sound of that.

Ridge: Good.

Brooke: (Giggles)

Thorne: Hey. I just saw Brooke leaving. What happened up there?

Stephanie: Oh, do you even need to ask?

Thorne: Donna.

Stephanie: She came over here and decided to plead her sister's case.

Thorne: (Laughs)

Stephanie: My gosh, I wasn't paying attention. What is all this stuff?

Thorne: Just more deliveries for Dad.

Stephanie: Well, why is this one opened?

Thorne: I don't know.

Eric: (Moans)

Donna: Please, don't let what happened with Owen and me come between us. We have been through too much to let something so insignificant ruin our marriage. Look, it was... a mistake. And I've regret hurting you more than you will ever know. I'm your wife. And I love you. And I want-- I want to take care of you. Let me help you. Let me help you, nurse you back to health so we--we can move on with our lives together. Please, please, Eric, just give me that chance.

Thorne: It's empty.

Stephanie: Well, what do you suppose was in it?

Thorne: I don't know. Donna!

Stephanie: Donna!

Eric: Owen... Owen is a young-- young man. And... maybe you have feelings...

Donna: No. No.

Eric: For him. No, no, no. I am... different now... older now.

Donna: Stop. Don't say that. I don't want Owen. I want you, only you.

Thorne: Get off of him! Dad, Dad, are you okay?

Donna: Aah! Stop.

Stephanie: Are you all right?

Donna: (Groans) God, he's fine, Stephanie.

Stephanie: What are you trying to do? Give him another heart attack? For God sakes.

Donna: No. Stop it. Stop it. Leave us be. He needs to be with his wife.

Stephanie: Thorne, get her out of here.

Donna: No. Stephanie.

Stephanie: Thorne! Thorne! Get her out! I mean it!

Donna: God! Stop it! (Groans)

Stephanie: I'm so sorry.

Donna: (Groaning) Stop it!

Donna: Thorne, wait. Please. Stop it! Look, I'm not hurting him. I would never hurt Eric.

Stephanie: I don't think you mean to, but what the hell do you want to do, kill him?

Donna: Look, he wants me here. Tell them, sweetheart. Tell them you want me to stay.

Stephanie: Thorne, out! Out! Out!

Donna: No, no, no!

Stephanie: Just take her out of here.

Donna: Let me go.

Thorne: Come one, let's go. Let's go.

Stephanie: I don't want you in this room with him.

Donna: Look, you can't do this, Stephanie.

Stephanie: Lock-- lock the doors behind her.

Donna: Stop! Eric? Eric?

Thorne: (Sighs)

Ridge: Everything's working out, Logan.

Brooke: Mmm.

Ridge: Dad's back with us. He's gonna be healthy and strong again. And just in time.

Brooke: In time?

Ridge: Yeah. To be best man at our wedding.

Brooke: Ohh, I would love that-- Eric being our best man and him being at the wedding. You know... (sighs) Ridge, whatever Eric chooses, whatever he decides, let's just agree to support him, okay?

Ridge: All right. And no matter how ugly things get between Dad, Mother and Donna, let's not let any of it get in the way of our happiness. Deal?

Brooke: Deal. (Giggles)

Ridge: Seal it with a kiss.

Brooke: Mmm. You know, we could do better than that.

Ridge: (Sighs)

Brooke: (Giggles)

Brooke: Mmm. (Sighs contentedly)

Stephanie: What the hell is the matter with you? Are you trying to kill him?

Donna: No, that would be your sister, pam. I'm trying to take care of him, Stephanie. He needs to be with his wife.

Stephanie: Oh, God, almighty. Well, sneakin' around and sneaking into the house certainly isn't going to aid his recovery.

Donna: Well, I wouldn't have to sneak around if you had the decency to let me see my own husband.

Stephanie: He doesn't want to see you.

Donna: Eric just came out of a coma. He's incapable of thinking clearly right now.

Stephanie: (Scoffs) Oh, believe me-- oh, believe me, he sees. He understands. He knows exactly who and what you are now.

Donna: Oh, you just love having control over this, don't you?

Stephanie: I'm only trying to protect him.

Donna: You are not protecting him. You are controlling him, just like you always have tried to.

Stephanie: Look, this isn't about me, and it sure as hell shouldn't be about you. It's about what is best for Eric. He wants to be with us. You just have to accept that.

Donna: He is still my husband. That hasn't changed. I have every right to be with him, more right than you.

Stephanie: He threw you out. Doesn't that tell you something?

Donna: But that's before I had a chance to explain, Stephanie.

Stephanie: And what is there to explain? You know, you don't have anyone to blame, but yourself. If you had just used a little better judgment, for goodness sakes. Instead, when he comes out of the coma, where are you? Foolin' around with Owen.

Donna: I was not fooling around with Owen.

Stephanie: Oh. (Laughs)

Donna: What we have is a friendship, Stephanie.

Stephanie: Oh.

Donna: Nothing more.

Stephanie: This is getting a little old, honey. And so's the sex kitten routine. When are you gonna learn that?

Donna: No. Oh, there is more to our marriage than sex, and you know it. From day one, you have been unable to accept the fact that Eric loves me. And that scares the hell out of you.

Brooke: So... what do you have planned for our wedding, Mr. Forrester?

Ridge: Something big, big, really big.

Brooke: Big? (Giggles) like what? I mean, what happened to eloping?

Ridge: Oh, no, we've waited too long for that. I think we have to do it right this time. Do it right.

Brooke: Mmm.

Ridge: I want a big celebration with my father as my best man.

Brooke: And Donna as my matron of honor.

Ridge: Oh, come on. You can't bring Donna to the wedding. Dad's gonna bring Mother.

Brooke: Well, we're not sure who he's going to bring, but it certainly won't be your mother. And... (sighs) I know he's very upset with Donna, but he is going to forgive her. Down deep in my heart, I feel that my sister and your father-- their marriage is not going to end, no matter what kind of stunts your mother pulls.

Donna: Just because you were with him when he woke up from his coma does not make you his wife again.

Stephanie: And where were you when he came out of the coma?

Donna: I was trying to explain to him what really happened before you dragged me out of there.

Stephanie: Donna.

Donna: Look, Eric still loves me. And if you can't see that, you're blind.

Stephanie: Let me tell you something, all right? Here's a simple fact of my life with Eric. You are just one fling. He's had many flings, and I'll be you he has a lot more. But you've got to accept the fact that your marriage to him-- it's over.

Donna: I made Eric happier in the few months that we had than in the years that you had together. There's one thing that you cannot control, Stephanie, and that's Eric's heart. And that kills you, doesn't it? Because you know I'm the woman he loves, and not you.

Stephanie: He doesn't want to see you, Donna. Now I'm not going to ask you again. Please leave.

Donna: I have every right to see my husband.

Stephanie: No, you don't. Now go.

Donna: Eric will eventually figure out what happened, and he will take me back.

Stephanie: I'm telling you, if you try and sneak on the property again, I will have you arrested. I promise you, that's what I will do.

Thorne: I don't think so. You've done enough damage for one night.

Donna: Eric? Eric? I love you, Eric. I know you love me, too. I'm never giving up on us. Never! Never!
