(Knock on door)

Thorne: Oh, for...

Donna: No, Thorne. Th--Thorne, wait.

Thorne: Donna, go!

Donna: No. No, my husband needs me.

Thorne: Your husband threw you out of here.

Donna: This is our home.

Thorne: Oh, not anymore it's not.

Donna: What?

Man: Is there a problem?

Thorne: Yes, there is a problem. Could you please escort this woman of the premises? And she is not to step foot on this property again.

Donna: What?

Man: Let's go, miss.

Donna: No. Get your hands off me. Listen, I live here! Thorne, please, my God, I'm begging you. Thorne!

Dr. Patrick: You're doing remarkably well, Mr. Forrester.

Ridge: Better every minute, right, Dad?

Eric: Right.

Dr. Patrick: You seem a bit down to me. Something bothering you?

Felicia: Actually, Dr. Patrick, something's bothering all of us a lot.

Ridge: He, uh, saw something we wished he hadn't.

Dr. Patrick: Concerning?

Ridge: His wife Donna. He found her in one of the other bedrooms with another man.

Dr. Patrick: I'm sorry to hear that.

Stephanie: Well, Dr. Patrick, what was so upsetting for us is that when we discovered Eric, he was hyperventilating terribly.

Dr. Patrick: Where's Donna now?

Felicia: Dad told her to go, so we sent her packing.

Ridge: The last thing we want is for him to have a relapse.

Thorne: (Sighs) Donna was at the door. I just got rid of her.

Stephanie: Oh, good. Okay.

Ridge: So, doctor, would you give us some instruction here on what to expect, how to handle various situations?

Dr. Patrick: Well, in the short time since he's emerged from the coma, your father has made remarkable strides. But there will be a significant period of recovery. His muscles have atrophy. He'll need therapy to regain his physical strength.

Ridge: Yeah, of course.

Dr. Patrick: It appears his basic mental function is intact, which is tremendously encouraging. My best advice-- give him all the love and support you can.

Thorne: (Chuckles)

Felicia: Hot and cold runnin' love 'round the clock. Got it.

Stephanie: (Laughs)

Ridge: That's what brought our father back, Dr. Patrick-- Mother's love and dedication to him, also her insistence to bring him home, doing what she knew was best for him.

Thorne: Yep. If it wasn't for Mother, I doubt if we'd be celebrating this moment.

(Crickets chirping)

Taylor: (Scoffs)

Rick: Hey.

Taylor: (Sniffles)

Rick: (Sighs) I thought you were gonna read a little bit.

Taylor: I couldn't concentrate. Is Jack down?

Rick: Mm-hmm. Snoring. I didn't know babies could snore. (Laughs)

Taylor: So he's fast asleep already?

Rick: (Groans) Don't do this now. Please, don't do this to yourself.

Taylor: Mothers all over the world can put their babies down, and they go right to sleep. Why can't I?

Rick: (Exhales deeply) Taylor, th--there's nothing wrong with you, okay? Look, you're--you're-- you're tense, and you're--you're giving off a lot of tense energy, and--and Jack is picking up on that. It's making him restless. That's it.

Taylor: (Sniffles)

Rick: Is it because of my mother? Does--does that bother you that she knows about this, that she's trying to help?

Taylor: (Sighs) I know your mother's heart is in the right place, but the last person I want from is Brooke.

Rick: (Sighs)

Taylor: (Sighs)

Brooke: Nick, it's Brooke. You need to call me. It's about Jack. I know you're out of town, but call me as soon as you can. I'm just really worried. I can't help it. (Door opens)

Brooke: Hi. Donna.

Donna: Oh. Brooke, you won't believe what happened.

Brooke: W-w-what's wrong? I thought you were in Paris.

Donna: Well, I was, but everything went so well, I-I came back home to be with Eric. Brooke, uh, he's back. He--he--he's out of his coma.

Brooke: Eric came out of his coma?

Donna: Yeah.

Brooke: When?

Donna: I-I-when I was away. He's--he's at the house, and he's--he's in a wheelchair. He's talking. I had no idea.

Brooke: I had no idea either.

Donna: (Chuckles)

Brooke: That is wonderful. Oh, so what are you doing here? Why aren't you with him?

Donna: Um, well, it's, um, it's kind of mess, you know? See, uh, there's been, uh, a huge misunderstanding.

Brooke: What kind of a misunderstanding?

Donna: Well, Owen, um, and I were in a-a guest room.

Brooke: Owen?

Donna: Yeah. He went to Paris with me, and he brought me back home, and, uh, you know, Pam is still out there, and he--he insisted on staying over so I wouldn't be alone in the house. And... well, I walked right by the master bedroom, and I had no idea that Eric was there and half the family and-- I didn't realize that Owen and I weren't alone.

Brooke: Okay, wait. I don't understand. What's the big deal if you and your assistant were by yourselves or not?

Donna: Brooke, I-I've been so sad, and I've been lonely. And I was exhausted. I-- (sighs) Owen was--he--

Brooke: Owen was what?

Donna: He was comforting me, okay? And--and Eric must have heard noises, and he--he came over on his--on his wheelchair, and he saw us in bed together.

Brooke: Oh, my God, Donna. You and Owen?

Donna: No, no, my God, no! No, it wasn't like that. I l-I love him. I-I wouldn't be unfaithful. But that's-- that's what Eric thinks he saw. (Sighs)

Brooke: Donna, what exactly did Eric see? How was Owen comforting you?

Donna: He--he was holding me and kissing me, okay? But that's it.

Brooke: Oh, my God. Kissing?

Donna: But th-- (sighs) Brooke, all I've heard for weeks is that he's not gonna survive, let alone recover. I-- I started to lose faith.

Brooke: Okay, so you were alone with Owen, and you felt vulnerable?

Donna: Yes. Yes. Thank God somebody understands.

Brooke: (Sighs) Well, I'm trying to.

Donna: Brooke, I just--I just heard the best possible news-- that my husband is home. He came out of his coma, and I-I want to be with him, and I can't. And it's killing me, Brooke. My God, if I just-- if I just maybe had a chance to--to explain to him what--what happened, I--

Brooke: Honey, why don't you?

Donna: I can't, okay? I can't because Eric-- Eric was so upset when he saw Owen and me. I-- Brooke, I couldn't even believe my eyes that he was even there. I went over to see him, and then half the family came in-- and Thorne and Felicia and--and Ridge and Stephanie-- and they all just-- they kicked me out of my own house, and they won't let me back in. They hired guards.

Brooke: What? Oh... (sighs) t-they're keeping you away from Eric?

Donna: Yes. Yes. You know what? I-I am not gonna take this. I'm not gonna take this. (Telephone rings)

Stephanie: Hello?

Donna: Stephanie, put Eric on the phone.

Stephanie: No, Donna.

Donna: Stephanie, please, if you just give me a chance to explain--

Stephanie: Donna, no one is interested in anything that you have to say, especially Eric. Now look, the doctors want him to be absolutely calm. So I'm not going to let him speak to you because you will only upset him.

Donna: You can't keep me from seeing my own husband. (Phone disconnects)

Donna: Stephanie? Stephanie? Oh, my God. She just hung up on me. Brooke, oh, my God, Eric is-- eric's in the house alone with--with Stephanie, his kids. I mean, who knows what kind of spin they're gonna put on this? They're gonna poison him against me, Brooke.

Brooke: Wait, wait. There may be a way to counteract this.

Donna: How?

Brooke: Ridge.

Donna: What?

Eric: Pam... did this?

Ridge: Pam went off her meds last spring. She's been in a downward spiral ever since.

Thorne: Only no one knew it. The police are looking for her now, and when they find her, well, at least she'll be under a doctor's care again.

Eric: Oh, my go--God.

Stephanie: Honey, I-I'm sorry. You--you--you fought so hard to come back, and I'm sorry that you had to-- to kind of wake up to this terrible shock.

Felicia: But don't worry, Daddy, we're gonna do everything in our power to protect you.

Eric: From Pam?

Felicia: From Pam and from Donna.

Ridge: That's our promise to you, Dad. We love you far too much to let anything or anybody endanger your recovery now. I'm gunna do another one of my sleep studies.

Ridge: Oh, Dad's doing great. You wouldn't believe it, Logan.

Brooke: I can't wait to see him.

Ridge: I'm gonna assume you heard the news from Donna?

Brooke: As a matter of fact, she's here right now.

Ridge: Well, I hope she told you the full story and not some sanitized version where she's the heroin and we're the villains.

Brooke: Donna wants to see Eric. And so do I.

Ridge: Look, Dad's resting right now. He's made it very clear that he does not want to see Donna. He just wants to be with family, our family.

Brooke: Well, that's understandable.

Ridge: I also think it might be best if maybe you didn't visit for a while, too. I mean, yes, you're very much family, but you're also Donna's sister, so just for now.

Brooke: I understand. Give Eric my love.

Ridge: Thank you, sweetie. Will do.

Donna: Well, w-what did he say?

Brooke: Neither one of us are welcome over there at the moment.

Donna: What?

Brooke: The family wants to be with Eric alone.

Donna: But I-I am his family. I'm his wife.

Felicia: You may have married somebody else, but I am telling you, Mom has been more of a wife to you these past few weeks than Donna ever could be.

Stephanie: I was just determined that you were not going to slip away from us. That's why I persuaded Dr. Seifert to get on a plane, get over here from Europe and take care of you.

Thorne: (Chuckles) Yeah, "persuaded" being a euphemism for camped out on his doorstep until he finally said uncle.

Felicia: (Laughs)

Eric: Sounds about right.

Stephanie: (Chuckles) It wasn't your time, honey. You have a lot of good years ahead of you.

Eric: Love you... all of you.

Eric: Let you down.

Stephanie: No, honey.

Eric: Mm-hmm.

Stephanie: No.

Eric: I lost... my way. I'm back now... with my children and my--my Stephanie...

Felicia: (Giggles)

Eric: My family, where I belong...

Eric: If you will have me.

Felicia: Oh, Daddy.

Thorne: (Chuckles)

Felicia: Oh, Daddy, of course we will. We love you.

Eric: All right.

Donna: Stephanie.

Stephanie: I want to talk to you, Donna.

Donna: Come in.

Donna: Are you here to hear my side of the story, or is that too much to ask?

Stephanie: Well, we all saw you with Owen. There's really no explanation for that, is there? No, I've come to tell you I do not want you to continue hounding us. Don't come to the house, and don't make phone calls to us.

Donna: You can't bar me from my own home. And you can't keep me from seeing Eric.

Stephanie: He doesn't want to see you, Donna. He wants to be with his family. He wants to be with me. So if you actually care for him, as you claim to, then you'll just walk away, for his sake, for good.

(Fiesta music playing)

Jack: (Crying)

Taylor: (Crying)

Rick: Hey, hey, come here.

Taylor: I've tried everything.

Rick: I know. I know.

Taylor: Jack won't stop crying. I-I don't why everything I try to do-- it just makes him more miserable.

Rick: (Sighs) It's gonna be okay. Everything's gonna be just fine. You'll see.

Taylor: Just tell me the truth. What am I doing wrong?

Jack: (Crying)

Rick: Nothing. You're not doing anything wrong. But, look, maybe we need to accept the fact that we need help. So we'll call Nick, and then--

Taylor: No! No. No. No. It's bad enough your mother already knows. No, you can't say anything to anybody.

Rick: Taylor, ta-- listen to me. Listen.

Taylor: No. I already lost custody once. I don't want to lose the baby again.

Rick: Th--that's not gonna happen again. This is an entirely different situation.

Taylor: No! I don't care. I don't care.

Jack: (Crying)

Taylor: I already lost him once. I can't go through that a second time. Please.

Eric: Donna.

Ridge: Dad, I know you're hurting, but let's not dwell on it. All that really matters is your recovery.

Felicia: He's right. I'm just glad your eyes were finally opened, that you've finally seen that woman for who she really is. I am just so sorry it had to happen the way it did when it did.

Thorne: Listen, we want you to focus on the positive things, Dad, okay? And you'll--you'll forget about Donna Logan. And she'll be out of our lives once and for all.

Eric: (Sighs)

Donna: Stay away from Eric? Are you insane? He's my husband, Stephanie. I love him. I have every right to see him.

Stephanie: You gave up that right when you slept with another man.

Donna: I know what you're doing. You are manipulating him.

Stephanie: The very trick that got you in the front door is what got you kicked out in the end, honey-- sex. So do everybody a favor, but most especially Eric-- stay away from him, and don't bother to come to the office anymore.

Donna: Oh, my God, more manipulating. And you are not even bothering to hide it this time.

Stephanie: Donna, he's made a decision. Respect it, okay? He's done with you. The marriage is over. For God sakes, Donna, we could have lost him again when he saw you in that bedroom with owen. Loyal wife... (chuckles) how long did that title last?

Donna: Oh, that is--

Stephanie: About two months?

Donna: Stephanie, that is not what happened. And you--you had no right to take him out of the hospital and not even tell me that he was recovering.

Stephanie: I tried. I came to your home to tell you. I came to tell you that he'd regained consciousness. And guess what I saw instead? You in bed with Owen. That's when I made the decision that I was going to take care of Eric, because, obviously, you were occupied elsewhere.

Donna: You cannot keep me from seeing him, Stephanie. Eric is still my husband.

Stephanie: For not much longer, young lady. He wants me.

Donna: Oh, believe me, I am not gonna let that happen.

Stephanie: I don't think you have much of a say in it. Look, why don't you just get on with your life with Owen? He seems to be a perfectly nice guy, good-looking. I'm sure he's a great lay. But stay away from my husband! Is that clear?

Donna: Eric is disappointed in me.

Stephanie: (Chuckles)

Donna: And I understand that. But he will forgive me. Oh, you are not gonna get your way this time, Stephanie. I will get my husband back. And you're not gonna stop me. You will not stop me.
