All on your own? How do you know when it's gone? Where do I go? Nobody's home

Bridget: Yes.

Always alone

Bridget: Katie? (Laughs) He did it! It actually happened. Nick proposed. We're getting married again. (Laughs) I'm so excited.

Steffy: Yeah, it was really cute. Are you gonna head out tonight?

Woman: Mm-hmm. Want to come?

Steffy: Oh, actually--yeah, let me catch up with you later. Hi.

Marcus: Wow. You--you look great.

Steffy: Thanks. What's up?

Marcus: Nothing. I just delivered some coffee up here.

Steffy: Mm.

Marcus: Oh, hey, um, would you happen to know a Charlotte Garnell Scheide?

Steffy: Oh, yeah. She's in charge of the props for the fashion sets.

Marcus: Cool. You know where her office is?

Steffy: Mm-hmm.

Marcus: I got to drop these off to her.

Steffy: Other building, east wing, bottom floor.

Marcus: Okay. Uh, got it.

Steffy: No, you don't.

Marcus: How complicated can it be?

Steffy: It is.

Marcus: Like I can't take a bus or something or what?

Steffy: Okay, I'll show you.

Marcus: No. Look, you don't have to do that. I'll find it.

Steffy: You'll end up in Santa Monica. Once again, you can't survive without me.

Jackie: Okay, you called, I came. What's going on? You made it sound really important.

Nick: Oh, not really. Just a mid life-changing decision. I'm getting married. Are you going to ask to whom?

Jackie: (Laughs) Well, sweetheart, you're living in a house with two women. It's 50-50. You can't marry both of them.

Nick: Right. Right. I thought about that, so I thought I'd marry the one I've known the longest. I'm gonna marry Bridget.

Jackie: You're sure about this?

Nick: Of course I'm sure. Bridget makes me very happy. She makes jack happy. It's--it's all good, Mother.

Jackie: Well, good... but still, I-I do have to wonder--

Nick: No, no, no, no, no. Please, please, no wondering. When you wonder, things go poorly. Just love and support, and be the kind of mother that the groom needs.

Jackie: Well, why would you think I wouldn't be?

Nick: I'm counting on you. She's an amazing woman, and you know how much she means to me.

Jackie: You know what's strange?

Nick: Hmm?

Jackie: You haven't mentioned the word "Love."

Nick: Of course I love Bridget. I've loved Bridget for years. I wouldn't be doing this otherwise.

Jackie: Oh, I believe you. I do. What about Katie?

Bridget: (Inhales deeply) He--he made it official.

Katie: It's beautiful.

Bridget: I can't stop staring at it. I-I hardly slept last night.

Katie: Perfect fit.

Bridget: Yeah, I know. I don't think it's gonna slip off. It's pretty--

Katie: No, I mean you and Nick.

Bridget: Oh, I... you know this never would have happened without you.

Katie: Oh, I don't know about that.

Bridget: No. Listen to me. Katie, I was so scared. I was terrified, really.

Katie: Of what?

Bridget: Getting hurt again. I was just so in love with Nick the first time we got married, and after that, I never believed that Nick and I could have a second chance, but, you know, you kept pushing us to get together. Sometimes I wanted to strangle you because you would remind me of those memories, and I didn't want to hear it. But you would not stop.

Katie: (Laughs)

Bridget: So finally, of course, I got the message, and I started to believe that Nick and I could-- could find our way back to each other. And because of your persistence and your faith in me and your faith in Nick, we have that second chance now, but it would have never happened without you. I have no doubt in my mind about that.

Katie: You and Nick belong together.

Bridget: Yeah, I know.

Katie: (Laughs)

Bridget: I can see that now. You've made me see this again. You know, you keep saying that I saved your life, but in a very real way, you've saved mine.

Katie: (Laughs)

Marcus: Okay. Wait, wait, wait. So you don't think that I can find the prop room without you?

Steffy: Sure, but it'll take you half the day.

Marcus: I doubt it.

Steffy: Oh, go ahead. Knock yourself out.

Marcus: No, no, no. It's obviously that you're trying to show me how smart you are...

Steffy: Oh.

Marcus: So I'm gonna go ahead and let you lead the way.

Steffy: I don't think so. I offered. You refused. Good luck. I'll rescue you in a couple of hours.

Marcus: Okay. Okay. Look, will you please-- pretty please with sugar on top, please show me the way to the prop room? Is that good enough for you?

Steffy: Attitude needs some work, but I think it'll suffice. Come on. I'll show you a shortcut.

Marcus: Mm-hmm. Oh, wait, but not by Ridge's office. Now you know, if he sees me, I'm toast.

Steffy: I know places my dad's never been. You're in good hands. Come on.

Katie: What? What is it?

Bridget: Nothing. Nothing. It's just, um...

Katie: What? What's on your mind?

Bridget: I... it doesn't seem fair-- me standing here just gushing about Nick and how much I love him and... (laughs)

Katie: Why is it not fair? Bridget, I really hope this is not about me.

Bridget: No. I mean, I know how happy you are for me. I know that, but this cannot possibly be easy for you.

Katie: I owe you so much. I owe you my life.

Bridget: Stop saying that. Katie, you don't owe me anything.

Katie: Yes, I do.

Bridget: So... what are you saying? You're gonna give me Nick?

Katie: No, of course not. He's not mine to give.

Bridget: Unh-unh.

Katie: He loves you. He wants you. That's why he's marrying you. And the only thing I can give you is my happiness.

Nick: Mother, things are going to be very different with Bridget this time.

Jackie: I repeat, what about Katie?

Nick: What about her?

Jackie: You don't want to talk about this, do you? Well, quite frankly, neither do I, but we would both be lying to ourselves if we pretended that... well, she isn't a complication.

Nick: She is not a complication, Mother. Actually, I feel blessed to have her in my life, just like I feel blessed to have you in my life. Now you're not a complication, or are you?

Jackie: You're living with two women, both of whom want you. That is a recipe for heartache and disaster.

Nick: Under normal circumstances, I would probably agree with you, but that's not the case. Katie wants me to marry Bridget.

Jackie: Oh, is that so?

Nick: Yes.

Jackie: And you believe her?

Nick: I do, and that is so.

Jackie: Well, I don't.

Nick: Why, Mother? Do you think Katie's lying to herself?

Jackie: Consciously, no, but yes, I do.

Nick: She's loyal to Bridget. She's committed to her, and she won't compromise.

Jackie: Everything you've said about Katie is absolutely true... (sighs) but deep down in her soul, she doesn't want you to marry Bridget. Surely, you know that.

Nick: Mother, what Katie really wants is for Bridget to be happy.

Jackie: Hmm, at her own expense?

Nick: No. No, not at her own expense.

Jackie: (Sighs) You really think that she can be happy if you're married to Bridget?

Nick: Yes. Yes, I believe she will be.

Jackie: Then she's phenomenal. Most women would do anything to keep the love that they'd found. They--they'd claw. They--they'd scratch out eyes if need be.

Nick: Mother, please, let's not be so melodramatic.

Jackie: (Sighs) are you really sure you want to marry Bridget again?

Nick: Mother, I believe in commitment, loyalty, unconditional love and honesty, and Bridget is made of all of those, and that's what I want for me and my son.

Jackie: You're an honorable man, Nicky... but the very words that you've just used to describe Bridget... also describe Katie.

Nick: My future's with Bridget.

Bridget: How can I ever tell you what your support means to me?

Katie: Oh, this from the woman who wouldn't let me go quietly into the night-- talk about support.

Bridget: Mm, maybe I just knew that I was gonna need you in the future, so...

Katie: Oh, I see. It was all self-serving.

Bridget: Hmm, well...

Katie: So have you two set a date?

Bridget: No, not yet.

Katie: Well, what are you waiting for? Get on it.

Bridget: Hold your horses. He just proposed.

Katie: I don't think you should waste a single second. Set a date. Call the minister. I would perform the ceremony myself if I could. (Laughs)

Bridget: (Laughs) Okay, well, on a more serious note... (inhales deeply) I, um, couldn't get married without you there.

Katie: Of course, I'll be there. I wouldn't miss it for the world.

Bridget: Well, I don't mean just there attending. I mean there, standing next to me, 'cause I want you to be my maid of honor.

Katie: Are you sure?

Bridget: Of course I'm sure. I mean, this year has been wonderful because my Aunt Katie came home to Los Angeles. I knew that we were always close growing up and stuff, but these past couple months-- everything that has happened, that we've been through, I feel like there's a bond, a connection that no one can probably understand or ever, ever take away from us. We've just shared so much, and so I want to share this with you-- my wedding day, made possible by you. So will you be my maid of honor?

Katie: Yes. I'd be honored. Thank you.

Bridget: (Sighs)

Steffy: So mission accomplished. Packages delivered.

Marcus: Right. I got to hand it to you. I might have taken me the rest of the afternoon to find that office.

Steffy: I told you you needed me.

Marcus: Right. You and your secret passages.

Steffy: Yeah. Here's another. I don't think anyone knows about this stairway or it even exists.

Marcus: Huh. Not even your dad?

Steffy: Don't get any ideas.

Marcus: Right. Hey, wait a minute. Hold on. S.F.? Is that you?

Steffy: Could have been my grandmother. Okay. It's me.

Marcus: Must be a story there.

Steffy: Maybe.

Marcus: Hmm. But you're the kind of girl who doesn't kiss and tell.

Steffy: Especially when I was 10 years old.

Marcus: That's when you did that?

Steffy: Uh-huh.

Marcus: Oh. So did, um-- did you always go around marking up the walls?

Steffy: (Laughs) If it got a reaction, which it usually did.

Marcus: Oh, so the girl needed attention?

Steffy: Oh, the girl was a rebel-- still is.

Marcus: So that's what this is all about?

Steffy: What?

Marcus: You and me. Steffy is rebelling against her dad.

Steffy: (Laughs) You mind?

Marcus: Hey, baby, use me. Baby, use me. So, um, who was R.C.?

Steffy: (Laughs) A very hot 9 year old.

Marcus: Ooh. A younger guy.

Steffy: (Laughs) Someone had to show him the ropes.

Marcus: Oh, just like you're doing with me.

Steffy: Yeah. I-I guess you could say that.

Marcus: Hmm. So how does a precocious 10 year old show a 9 year old the ropes?

Steffy: You want me to demonstrate?

Marcus: Why not?

Steffy: Close your eyes.

Marcus: Mm-hmm.

Steffy: (Laughs)

Marcus: H-hey. Okay.

Steffy: That's what I did. What were you thinking?

Marcus: All right. You want me to demonstrate?

Steffy: Sure.

Marcus: Close your eyes.

Steffy: (Sighs)

Steffy: I'm waiting.

Marcus: I'm distracted.

Steffy: By what?

Marcus: You have a, um, big hairy spider on your shoulder.

Steffy: What? Get... off... me! Oh!

Marcus: Got ya.

Steffy: There's no spider!

Marcus: I know. Ha-ha. (Laughs)

Jackie: Oh, here comes the bride.

Bridget: And the maid of honor.

Nick: (Laughs)

Jackie: Really? You asked Katie?

Bridget: Well, yes. Who else would I ask?

Jackie: Oh, that's wonderful. Welcome back into the family, sweetheart.

Bridget: Oh, thank you.

Jackie: And you, young lady, absolutely no more excitement until the wedding day.

Katie: I will do my best.

Bridget: Well, she's gonna do better than that with me taking care of her.

Jackie: So when is the big date?

Bridget: I don't know. We haven't set one yet...

Jackie: Oh.

Bridget: But I would love for it to be very, very soon.

Nick: Uh, w-well, you name the day, and I'll be there.

Bridget: How about yesterday?

Jackie: Ahh, the girl doesn't want to wait.

Nick: I guess we better get the show on the road.

Bridget: Mm-hmm.

Katie: Hey, I said I'd marry the two of you right now if I could. (Laughs)

Jackie: Oh. Got a little bit of planning to do first.

Bridget: I don't really want anything big or fancy. I would love to just keep it simple...

Nick: Good. Good.

Bridget: Simple and, um, and lovely. Mmm. So what should we do first?

Nick: I...

Katie: Um, can--can I-- can I say something? I would like to oversee all of the arrangements. You know, uh, I'd like to plan everything-- the--the decorations and the music and the flowers.

Bridget: Well, that's just so much work.

Katie: Please let me do this. I promise I won't overdo it.

Jackie: (Laughs) But why would you want to do this? I mean, I-I know a perfectly fabulous wedding planner and--

Katie: Because it's personal to me. You two are the most amazing people I've ever known, and without you, I wouldn't be here, and I want to do everything I can to make sure that your wedding is exactly the way you want it to be-- exactly what you deserve. It'll be my gift to you out of my appreciation and my love. Please let me do this, Bridget. I want to help start you two off on the life that you're gonna share together. It would mean so much to me.

Bridget: How could I possibly say no to that? (Laughs)

Katie: Thank you. We're gonna have a wonderful wedding.

Katie: Oh. (Laughs) Now enough of that now. Okay, so let's--let's-- what do you guys want? Um, I-I'm assuming, uh, you have an idea of what you want to wear?

Bridget: I just-- I don't care.

Nick: I'm clueless, as usual. So help me with, uh--

Bridget: Well, we can all pitch in, of course. It doesn't have to just be...
