Katie: Mmm. Is it really you, or am I dreaming? (Laughs)

Beth: It's really me.

Katie: I imagined this moment a thousand times. And you've made it real. You've come home just to be with me, just like I knew you would.

Katie: (Sniffles)

Thorne: So you're telling us that Marcus, Marcus Walton down in shipping is...

Felicia: (Laughs) Donna's son? Come on. What, did she have him when she was 2?

Thorne: (Laughs)

Ridge: A teenage pregnancy well hidden-- even back then, hardly unusual. Presumably, the guy was given up for adoption. And now years later, he decides to come look for his birth mom.

Felicia: So the scandal we've been waiting for rears its ugly head.

Ridge: I also have it on good authority that Donna has said nothing to Dad.

Thorne: About having a son?

Ridge: About anything. In the meantime, Dad's signing his paycheck, totally oblivious.

Felicia: Maybe. But how do we know she didn't tell him? Maybe Donna's not the only one keeping secrets.

Thorne: No, I doubt that. I've seen Marcus and Dad together, and I didn't get the feeling that there was anything weird going on.

Ridge: Uh, Felicia may be right. At this point, it's just speculation. But we'll know the truth as soon as I hear from rocky.

Thorne: So you hired a P.I.?

Felicia: (Scoffs)

Ridge: Damn right I did. He's done good work for us before. Imagine what it'll mean to this family if he finds out that the rumors are true. Donna's duplicity will be her downfall. Out she'll go. And here at Forrester, we won't have to worry about Donna Logan and the havoc she's been wreaking on our company anymore. (Knock on door)

Ridge: Come in.

Felicia: Jarrett, hey.

Jarrett: (Sighs) Hey. Look, I'm sorry to bring bad news, but certain members of the fashion press are about to have a field day with Eric.

Thorne: (Sighs)

Eric: I've been trying to make sense of these inventory logs. I understand you changed them.

Marcus: Yes, I sure did.

Eric: Ah, well, look, for years, that's not the way we do things around here. Let me show you how we do it.

Marcus: Well, you see, sir...

Eric: For years, this goes here.

Marcus: Instead of--no, no. I thought it would be more efficient this way, though, sir.

Eric: No, if you'd just let me finish, please.

Marcus: You see, instead of a double system...

Eric: The system's been working fine for years. I don't want to change it. I want you to put it back the way it was. And I don't want you changing a procedure around here without asking. Are we clear?

Marcus: Yes, sir.

Eric: Thank you.

Marcus: I'm blowing it, man.

(Doorbell rings)

Nick: Hi.

Brooke: I thought you were out of town.

Nick: I'm back.

Brooke: Yes, I see that. So how's Katie doing?

Nick: She's good.

Brooke: Guess what?

Nick: What?

Brooke: My mom's coming in town, and I can't wait to tell Katie. She's gonna be so excited.

Nick: Actually, your mother's already here.

Brooke: Already?

Nick: Yeah.

Brooke: Wh--

Nick: Yeah, both your parents are here.

Brooke: (Gasps) You're kidding?

Nick: No.

Brooke: Well, h-how--how did that happen? I just talked to her last night. How did she get here so fast?

Nick: I don't know.

Brooke: You--you-- what am I going to do with you? (Giggles)

Katie: When I woke up in intensive care, I... didn't know what was happening. But Brooke was there, and--and--and Donna and Nick and Bridget, but not Storm. And I didn't know where he could be.

Donna: Katie could barely talk. Her--her throat was so sore from the respirator. But somehow she got the words out-- "Where's Storm?"

Katie: He left me a note. He told me he'd be the whisper in my ear.

Beth: And that's when you realized that he...

Katie: Yeah.

Beth: I don't know how you made it through all this.

Katie: It's been tough. For weeks, I've been so angry. I didn't understand how storm could do something like that. I didn't know how I would ever be able to live with it. But I think I've--I've reached an understanding. I've made my own peace with what happened. And he would want this, Mom. (Laughs) he would want you back here with us. I know how much you must be grieving.

Beth: Mm.

Katie: I know why you couldn't come home. But you're here now. All of the Logans are together again...

Beth: (Laughs)

Katie: As a family.

Beth: (Sighs)

Beth: (Exhales deeply)

Marcus: I thought he'd be pleased I wanted to make things better. I mean, this being a creative place and all.

Steffy: Yeah, my Granddad isn't big on surprises.

Marcus: Great. I'm doomed. I mean, if he can't handle some paperwork being switched around, how is he gonna react when Donna tells him about me?

Steffy: He'll understand, Marcus, at least if I have something to say about it, which I will. Always do.

Jarrett: My comrades in the press are still shaking their heads over your father's recent marriage.

Felicia: Like we haven't been.

Ridge: We're painfully aware that Donna's influence has been damaging in so many ways. It's just that Dad refuses to see it.

Thorne: Sales take a dive, it's the lousy economy.

Felicia: (Imitating Eric) what--will you hold it right there. Don't blame Donna for that, too.

Ridge: So we asked our customers why they stopped buying, and they said because the clothes that Donna inspires are just too risqué.

Thorne: And the fact that he dumped Mom for a woman half her age.

Jarrett: Oh, it isn't only that the new Mrs. Forrester is so much younger or that her taste is... should we say not classic. (Sighs heavily) the issue that's been popping up recently is that her maiden name was Logan. I mean, does your father have an unhealthy obsession with that family? Is he morally bankrupt?

Felicia: (Scoffs)

Ridge: Come on, Jarrett.

Jarrett: Oh, m-m-m-mind you, Ridge, it's not me who's writing articles like that. But other people are. I know. I've seen the galleys.

Felicia: So not only is Donna driving away customers, tainting our company's image. Now she's tarnishing our father's reputation, as well. Great.

Jarrett: Oh, I've covered your family for years. Everyone loves your mother, but the reaction to Donna thus far...

Felicia: We got it.

Thorne: (Sighs)

Jarrett: Look, again, I am sorry. But I consider you all friends. And when I saw what was coming, I couldn't very well just hang you all out to dry, now could I?

Thorne: Jarrett, we appreciate that, okay? Thank you for the heads-up.

Jarrett: Okay.

Thorne: You gotta be kidding me.

Ridge: Now it's up to us to deliver Dad a rather large wake-up call.

Brooke: I can't believe you. I can't believe how you've gone out of your way to surprise somebody.

Nick: I'm just glad it all worked out. Your parents are where they're supposed to be. All is right in the world.

Brooke: Especially Katie's world, thanks to you.

Nick: (Scoffs)

Brooke: You've done so much for Katie. I don't know how we're ever gonna repay you.

Beth: It really is remarkable, the way you got through all of this. I... should have been here.

Donna: Oh, Mom, it's okay. We understand you couldn't be here right after storm passed away. You were--you were too overcome with grief.

Katie: And you're here now, and so is storm. He's right here. He'll always be with us. He always will.

Brooke: Ohhh, mother. (Laughs)

Beth: Oh. Brooke. Oh, Brooke. (Laughs) (exhales deeply) mm.

Rocky: I put extra guys on this 'cause you needed your answers in a hurry.

Ridge: Rocky, whatever it costs, it'll be worth it.

Felicia: So what did you find out--anything? I mean, did Donna give up a baby all those years ago?

Rocky: A little boy, born on July 9th, to be exact.

Ridge: Same date of birth Marcus put on his job application.

Thorne: Oh-oh-oh, my god. It's true.

Felicia: Wait a minute. Could be true.

Thorne: Sis, this can't be a coincidence.

Ridge: Okay, so Donna had a baby boy. Do we know what happened to him?

Rocky: Well, as a matter of fact, um, a lawyer I do a lot of work for knows some people down at the local adoption agencies. Now according to him, a male born at St. Joseph's hospital on July 9th was placed with a family in Beaumont, Texas.

Ridge: That's Marcus' hometown.

Phoebe: Did they get the family's name?

Rocky: Walton.

Felicia: Oh, my god. Then it's true. Marcus is Donna's son.

Thorne: (Sighs)

Ridge: Dad has no idea, does he? Rocky, thank you very much. Great job. I'll be in touch.

Rocky: Thanks.

Ridge: All right, does anybody still have any doubts that we go to Dad about this?

Felicia: Not anymore.

Thorne: No, not at all. But this is going to hit him hard, Ridge.

Ridge: He's gotta hear it, and he's gotta hear all of it. After tonight, Dad will finally realize why he has to end this marriage.

Steffy: Paperwork-- oh, the excitement.

Marcus: Yeah, I need to have these logs back the way they were before your grandfather fires me.

Steffy: Ah, mmm, mmm. Uh, hey, Granddad, what's up? What brings you down to the dungeon?

Eric: I-I want to talk to Marcus--very important.

Steffy: Do you want me to go?

Eric: No, actually, I'd like you to hear this.

Marcus: I'm changing those logs now, Mr. Forrester. I'll have them done for you by the end of the day.

Eric: Oh, so you haven't finished? That's good. I owe you an apology.

Marcus: Sir?

Eric: I took a look at your revised system, and, actually, I like it. I see what you did and why you did it, and I think it's, uh, I think it's very good. I didn't give you a chance to explain yourself, and, uh, for that I apologize.

Marcus: It's no problem, sir.

Eric: Run it by Thorne. If he likes it, we'll put it in place right away.

Marcus: I will. (Chuckles) Thank you, Mr. Forrester.

Eric: No, no, thank you. I like it when people take initiative around here. People don't do that enough in this office. My wife is very high on you, Marcus. And I'm beginning to see why.

Steffy: What?! Oh, my god!

Marcus: (Laughs) Man.

Nick: I thought you were laying down.

Stephen: Yeah, maybe I should be, but after seeing Katie upstairs with her mother...

Nick: Oh, come on, don't you think it's just what the doctor ordered?

Stephen: Well, then that makes you the physician because you knew what she needed before anybody else.

Nick: (Scoffs)

Stephen: You really came through for my daughter, Nick, and I thank you for that.

Brooke: When you told me last night that you were coming after all, at first I was... (sighs) I was really thrilled for Katie. But then it was when I was driving home that I realized I needed you, too, maybe more than I thought. Something happened to me almost a year ago now. And it's not something I want to dwell on, but it did take an emotional toll. And Ridge was fantastic, and... (sighs) I don't know what I would have done without Donna, without Katie. They really helped me through it, helped me get back up on my feet, start healing.

Beth: Oh, honey, it sounds awful.

Donna: It was horrible, Mom. Brooke was a wreck.

Brooke: (Sighs)

Katie: But she's a fighter, just like all of us Logans.

Brooke: Well, I did get through it, but not without scars. And I'm sure that I will have scars from that for many, many years. But, Mom, I-I don't want to talk about this now. Now that you're here, we'll have time to discuss it. (Exhales deeply) (laughs) I'm just so happy that you had the courage to come. Mom, we're all in pain.

Beth: Mm.

Brooke: We're all suffering. But you know what? We have each other, and we don't want you to grieve alone in Paris. You can lean on us. I mean, for so many years we leaned on you. Now your girls are here for you, really, always. (Sniffles)

Katie: (Laughs)

Beth: Oh.

Brooke: (Crying)

Beth: (Exhales deeply)

Eric: (Chuckles) (knock on door)

Eric: Yes, son, come in.

Ridge: Thorne, Felicia and I need to speak with you, Dad, privately without Donna.

Eric: Is this a conversation I want to have?

Ridge: It's one we all need to have. It's important, very important.

Eric: Yeah, concerning Donna?

Eric: All right, we'll meet, but not tonight. I have plans with Donna.

Ridge: What we have to say won't take long.

Eric: (Chuckles) Oh, right. So now we've gone from having a conversation to sitting down the old man and haranguing him about his wife. That is why you're excluding Donna, isn't it?

Ridge: Dad--

Eric: Ridge, you need to accept that I've moved on with a woman I love very much, to whom I'm very glad to go home at night and not have to wonder what she's hiding from me. You know, your mother was always too busy spinning her schemes to give me any attention, let alone affection. Well, it's very different with Donna, refreshingly so.

Ridge: That's what you think.

Eric: That's what I know.

Ridge: Okay, Dad, you think what you want about your wife. Just agree to meet with Thorne, Felicia and me around 5:00.

Eric: All right, fine, I will, but make it brief, all right? And no more acrimony about my wife.

Ridge: We'll keep it strictly information. I'll see you later. Oh, Marcus, I was just about to come looking for you.

Marcus: You were?

Ridge: I want you to prepare a shipment for me. Something's going out of here tonight.

Marcus: Where to, sir?

Ridge: Texas.

Marcus: Hey, it's Marcus. I just ran into Ridge. Something is definitely going down, and it does not sound good. Could he have found out somehow? Call me.

Stephen: Look, I-I know I've already thanked you about a hundred times for convincing Beth she needed to be here.

Nick: Any idea what the problem was?

Stephen: It had to be losing our son. It must have been incredibly difficult for her.

Nick: Well, of course. I mean, I get that, but still, to not be here for Katie and her sisters, I-that I don't get. I don't get that at all.

Beth: (Laughs)

Donna: (Laughs)

Katie: Well, I don't think I've cried enough today.

Beth: Oh, no?

Katie: I think we should keep going.

Brooke: (Giggles)

Donna: (Laughs) I'll keep going if you do.

Katie: (Laughs) Oh, I made you smile. I won.

Brooke: Oh, god. Some things never change.

Katie: (Laughs)

Beth: Apparently not. (Laughs)

Katie: Well, one thing I wish would change-- we've been apart for so long, and now we're all back together, even Dad. I just...

Donna: (Laughs)

Katie: I don't want to let this slip away. It feels right. And I don't want us to go back to our busy lives and forget how much we mean to one another. Please, please, don't leave us again.

Beth: I--

Brooke: Please.

Katie: Please, Mom.

Brooke: Mom, come on.

Beth: Oh.

Donna: Please.

Brooke: (Laughs)

Donna: Pretty please.

Katie: It's really nice here.

Brooke: (Laughs)

Beth: Okay, just let me go for a minute, all right...

Katie: All right.

Beth: Just--just a minute.

Brooke: A minute. That's it.

Katie: Just a minute.

Brooke: (Laughs)

(Indistinct conversation)

Beth: (Sighs)

Beth: Hello, Pascal? It's Beth. Merci. I need your help. I-I need you to get me on a flight from Los Angeles to Paris. Tomorrow morning. Yes. Yes. Can you--can you please make that reservation, then call me back to confirm? Merci, Pascal. Merci.

Katie: (Laughs)

Brooke: (Laughs) Oh, boy. (Laughs) no, you know what?

Donna: No, no, no, no.

Katie: We have like 27 bedrooms here. She could stay in Renee's room.

Donna: (Laughs)

Katie: (Laughs)

Brooke: Yeah, that's good. But--well, we'll-- we'll ask Mom. Maybe she has an idea.

Katie: We'll see where she wants to stay. Ooh, what's this?
