Taylor's voice: I am not in love with Rick! There is no way I am ever going to let anything like that happen. I am not going to cross that line ever.

Taylor: Okay, are we done here, you know? Because I've already said everything I can possibly say. You know, so you need to go rush back and give that report to Brooke. You can tell her that her son is forever safe from the evil clutches of Taylor.

Ridge: Come on, you can understand why she was worried.

Taylor: Oh, hell, yeah. After all, isn't she the one who--who stole two of her own daughter's husbands?

Ridge: God, I wish things didn't have to be so difficult between the two of you.

Taylor: That is a wish that is never going to come true. Don't even get me started on Brooke after everything she's done to me in my life.

Ridge: Well, going for payback with her grown son makes no sense.

Taylor: Would you get off it? That is not what is going on here. Ridge, you really don't understand how desperately I've needed somebody to support me. I need somebody who cares about me, and that's what Rick's been to me. He--he's just-- he's been so wonderful and--and caring and gentle, and that's what I need right now. Really, who else have I got? I am absolutely alone. One person brings light into my dark world, and you tell me that that is wrong? Don't tell me who to care about. Don't. I know where to draw the line. I am not going to let it become intimate. I am not going to let it go too far. Are you happy now? I want you to get out of my house. I am not going to explain myself to you anymore.

Ridge: Taylor, just know that a lot of people are set to get hurt here if you cross the line, not the least of whom is our daughter.

Taylor: (Sighs)

Donna: (Pounding on door) help! Let me out of here! (Sobbing) help! Help... help... (sobs) help! (Pounding on door) (wailing) help! Help. Someone, get me out of here! (Screaming)

Woman: Hey, you just, uh... aah! Oh, my gosh. Ms. Logan, I am so sorry! Oh!

Donna: Get me out of here!

Woman: I am so--

Donna: (Sobbing)

Woman: Now what... huh.

Brooke: (Sighs)

Brooke: Oh, thank God, you're back. Did you talk to Taylor about Rick?

Ridge: Yeah.

Brooke: And did she admit to using him just to get to me?

Ridge: I don't think that's what's going on here, Logan. Whatever's happening between Rick and Taylor is real.

Brooke: What? You weren't able to get through to her? She's going to continue seducing my son?

Taylor: (Sighs) (doorbell rings)

Taylor: Oh, hey.

Rick: Hey.

Taylor: I was waiting for you. I'm starving.

Rick: How are you? Good. Hi. Look, I-I'm sorry I'm late. I just, uh, was at Cafe Russe, and there was a guy in front of me that was getting, like, 15 take-out dinners, so it, uh, took longer than expected. Here, um, but, uh, look, I'm glad you're hungry because I didn't know whether to get the--the rack of lamb or the filet mignon, so I just--I got 'em both, and in addition to the, uh, famous Cafe Russe Caesar salads. So, um, uh, those are there. And I, uh-- I brought these because, uh, I told you that it was gonna be a night that you would never forget.

Taylor: I think you're right, Rick. I think this is going to be a night I'll never forget.

Pam: Just take the elevator down the hall there to the second floor, and you have a nice day. (Laughs)

Eric: Pam...

Pam: Hmm?

Eric: Have you seen Donna? You know, she's not here. I thought she'd be back by now.

Pam: Did you try her cell phone?

Eric: Yes, that's--that's my point. I've been calling. She hasn't been picking up. That's not like her at all.

Donna: (Sobbing) I-I look ridiculous. (Sighs)

Woman: Yeah, I am so sorry, ms. Logan. Ooh. I can't imagine how this--

Donna: (Sobbing) and--and why-- w-why is the hot water not working in--in the shower? I mean, I couldn't even wash this--this stuff off.

Woman: I know it. I know it. I was trying to figure that out while you were in the booth. I don't know how this happened.

Donna: Uh, well, m-maybe because I got locked in there and--and it--and-- and it kept spraying and spraying. That's how it happened. (Sighs) how long until this fades?

Woman: Seven to ten days.

Donna: W-what am-- what am I gonna do for seven to ten days?

Woman: Try and stay out of the sun so it doesn't get any worse there.

Donna: Oh! (Laughing)

Woman: Ms. Logan, I assure you, nothing like this has ever happened before.

Donna: (Laughs) Oh, great. (Laughs)

Woman: Could I offer you a free coupon?

Donna: A free coupon? F-free--free coupon? Are you--are you crazy? You know, if this doesn't fade, you will be hearing from my brother. He's an attorney.

Woman: An attorney? Mm. (Laughs)

Brooke: Ridge, please, tell me that you got through to Taylor, that she's going to leave my son alone.

Ridge: She told me she knows that they can never be intimate. She'll never cross that line, Brooke.

Brooke: (Sighs) The idea of her making love to Rick makes me sick. How do you know it's not gonna happen?

Ridge: Because we're just gonna have to trust Taylor that she'll do the right thing.

Brooke: But Rick was here while you were talking to Taylor, and he told me that he has big plans for this evening. He's hoping to make love to Taylor.

Taylor: Isn't it strange how life just can turn around on you so quickly? It's very strange, isn't it?

Rick: What do you mean?

Taylor: Um, well, a year ago, I was married to Nick. I was planning this whole future with him. We were going to have a baby together. And now I'm here living in this house by myself. It's just--it's just strange.

Rick: You're not by yourself tonight.

Taylor: No, I-I-I know that. That's because you've been so wonderful to me. I mean, you've done very thoughtful things. You went and got Jack for me the other day. You've done just so-- so many things, that it means the world to me.

Rick: Well, I just want you to be happy, Taylor. I believe that I can make you happy.

Taylor: You do make me happy.

Taylor: What? What is it? What's going on with you? You just-- you don't seem like yourself. Are you upset because your mother knows how you feel? What--

Rick: No, no. That's ridiculous. It's not bothering me.

Nick: No, there's something going on, and I just want you to talk to me. Rick, you've been there for me. I want to be there for you.

Rick: As a friend, though.

Taylor: Yeah, as a friend. Uh, what do you mean? What...

Rick: I mean that I see us as more than just friends.

Rick: All right, I-I got here earlier, and Ridge was still here, and I overheard a lot of your conversation through the open door. I just--I want you to be honest with me, okay? Just--just tell me, Taylor. Am I being a fool?

(Elevator bell dings)

Pam: My lordy, Donna. What the heck happened to you? Eric was wondering what you've been up to.

Donna: Uh! Uh! (Slams door)

Donna: (Sobbing)

Eric: Oh, my God. Donna, what-- what happened?

Donna: I went to a tanning salon, and I don't know. I don't know. Something went wrong, and I just--

Eric: Well--

Donna: I got stuck in there, and it--and it just-- it kept spraying and spraying and spraying.

Eric: It--it's all right.

Donna: (Sobbing)

Eric: It's all right. It's gonna be all right. Oh, my God.

Donna: (Sniffles) (sobs)

Eric: Look, it's gonna be all right, sweetheart. Don't worry about it.

Donna: (Sobbing)

Eric: Mm.

Ridge: Why do you think that?

Brooke: (Sighs) because that's exactly what he told me.

Ridge: Well, I don't believe Taylor would let that happen.

Brooke: Well, I can't believe that you trust her.

Ridge: Brooke, she says she has real feelings for Rick.

Brooke: That is a lie.

Ridge: You don't know that.

Brooke: (Sighs) Ridge, are you gonna help me put an end to this, or aren't you?

Ridge: And do what? Rick's a grown man. If he wants to be intimate with Taylor...

Brooke: Oh, my God. I can't believe you're not freaking out about this. What about Phoebe?

Ridge: Look, I just don't think it's gonna last that long. The smarter thing is still to just let it play out. And for your info, the last thing I told Taylor is to remind her what it would do to Phoebe if this got out of hand.

Brooke: Well, it's already out of hand. Nothing good is going to come of this. Rick is going to get involved in this sordid relationship, where Taylor's gonna dump him, and then he's gonna be heartbroken. I am never going to forgive her for seducing him. She's really gone off the deep end, Ridge, and now Rick has to pay the price for it.

Rick: Just say it, Taylor. Tell me that I'm being a fool. I've heard everything that you've wanted me to hear-- that--that I'm there for you, you can count on me, that--that--that you're gonna be forever grateful to me, but only as a friend. Nothing else is gonna come of this. I gotta go.

Taylor: Rick, wait. Please, listen. I want to talk to you about this.

Rick: I don't understand what you want to talk about. Did I--did I misquote you? Did I not hear you correctly?

Taylor: No, no. And I'm sorry that you had to hear any of it. Believe me. Believe me. But I--you know, I'm trying to be realistic about this. We both know that we have mixed feelings about it, and there-- there is a part of us that just wants to throw caution to the wind and see what happens, but there's this other part of us that knows that it's not exactly right.

Rick: No, no. There's really not 1 ounce of me that thinks that this is not right.

Taylor: What about Phoebe? You were her first love. You were her boyfriend. How--how would she react to this? How do you think she would handle it? I-I don't know. Maybe--maybe Brooke is right. Maybe I let this go too far. I let it go a little bit further than it should have because I'm--I'm trying to get back at her in some way.

Rick: What? No. No. I don't believe a word of that, and neither do you.

Taylor: Come on. It doesn't take a psychiatrist to see that there are some problems here, Rick.

Rick: I don't care! But the only thing I care about is how I feel about you, Taylor.

Taylor: And I know how I feel about you, too. You have been like a savior to me. You've been her for one of the worst times in my life. You understand me. You know what I need. You know that I need to be with my son. You know that I don't want to be here in this house alone by myself. You know that I don't want to feel dejected and alone. And that's the true mark of a friend. That's what you've been for me. But, Rick, I would be a fool if--if I were to believe that something else could come of this. I would be crazy. I can't. I can't let myself believe that. I can't.

Rick: (Sighs)

Donna: (Sobbing) It was--it was horrible. I mean... (sobbing) I was--I was trapped, and--and--and it kept spraying and spraying and spraying. And I--I could barely breathe. And I--

Eric: Oh, my God. You must have been terrified.

Donna: (Voice breaking) I was. I mean, it was horrible. And--and all I wanted to do was look beautiful for you.

Eric: You are. You are.

Donna: (Sobbing)

Eric: Oh, honey, come here. Is there--

Donna: (Sobs)

Eric: Is there anything I can do.

Donna: No...

Pam: Excuse me, uh, Eric, I-I've got your supper--chicken, white meat only, just the way you like it.

Donna: (Sobbing)

Pam: Oh, gosh, I'm sorry. Did I-- did I say something wrong?

Eric: Pam, would you just leave it? Just put it down and leave it. Thank you.

Pam: Okey-dokey.

Donna: (Sobbing)

Eric: Okay, okay.

Donna: (Sniffles)

Eric: Okay.

Donna: (Sobs)

Eric: All right, honey. Okay. Okay.

Donna: (Sobbing) (sniffles)

Donna: (Sobbing) I mean, look at me. I look awful.

Eric: No, you don't. Come on, you're beautiful. You always look beautiful to me.

Pam: Oh, we shall see about that. What is next on your agenda, Miss Donna? Let's see. Hair coloring. (Laughs mischievously)

Ridge: Logan, I understand how you feel, but Taylor is not seducing Rick. Look, you asked me to go see her. I did. She promised me that nothing's gonna come out of this.

Brooke: Ridge... (sighs) I just don't trust her.

Ridge: Both of them are alone in their lives right now, and Taylor's going through something very difficult. She told me that she knows this cannot escalate. She's not gonna cross the line, Brooke. They're just friends.

Brooke: And you believe her?

Ridge: Yeah. Yeah, I do. I do believe her.

Rick: You're telling me that you don't feel anything for me? Even when I kiss you? I feel it, Taylor, and I'm not imagining things. I know that you feel it, too.

Taylor: Please, Rick, I have grown children. We're at different stages in our lives. Maybe there is a spark, but if you really think about it--

Rick: No, that's it. I don't--I don't want to think about it. Taylor, you think too much. This is-- this is not a session. I'm not one of your patients. I don't want to analyze this, okay? I-I-I don't want to plan ahead a month from now, a-a week, even an hour. I want to live right now in this moment with you. I want to be impulsive. Can't you be impulsive?

Rick: You don't feel anything right now?

Rick: Nothing at all? Even though your heart is racing? You're breathing heavy? Don't think about this, Taylor. Just be in the moment. Enjoy the moment.

Taylor: (Sighs) I am enjoying it, maybe a little too much.

Taylor: But it just is so wrong. I can't even imagine how Phoebe would react.

Rick: She's never gonna know.

Taylor: No, she won't, because she can't, because nothing's happening. It's wrong. It's so wrong.

Rick: No, come here. It's not. It is not wrong, Taylor.

Taylor: Rick, I care about you. I do. I care about you so deeply.

Taylor: It's just that I can't let it happen. I can't. (Whispers) I can't. (Normal voice) please, just go. Please.

Taylor: (Sobbing)
