Nick: Morning. (Shouts) Good morning.
Katie: Oh! Morning. Morning, sailor.
Nick: Hey. Listen, than for helping me out with Jack last night. I got all my work finished, thanks to your help.
Katie: My pleasure.
Nick: Uh, by the way, you don't have to sleep on the couch, you know? I got about 20 bedrooms in this house.
Katie: Oh, don't worry. I've slept in worse places, believe me.
Nick: Really? What are you, uh-- what are you making there? Don't tell me this is breakfast.
Katie: You are in for a treat, my friend. I make a mean protein smoothie. I've got fruit, vegetables, special ingredient. Come on, drink up. You'll love it.
Nick: You go first. (Winces)
Nick: I thought you liked it.
Katie: Yeah, it's--it's just that first sip's a little hard to swallow. Your turn.
Nick: (Groans you're right. That first drink's nasty.
Katie: It gets better.
Nick: Um, listen, I want to pay you for helping me with Jack last night.
Katie: Oh, you don't have to. I've got a job at Forrester Creations.
Nick: I know how they pay there. Take the money.
Katie: Really? 100 bucks?
Nick: It's not enough?
Katie: Well, if you count the overnight stay, it's less than minimum wage.
Nick: $200?
Katie: Deal. Listen, I gotta run. I hope you don't mind cleaning up. And, uh, I left the recipe for the smoothie in the kitchen. Have a good day.
Nick: Have a good day.
Katie: Hmm.
Nick: Huh.
Donna: (Laughs)
Eric: So we're getting married...Donna: (Giggles)
Eric: I promise you. As soon as my divorce with Stephanie is final, we'll get married. Couple more months, and, uh-- and we'll do it. It's gonna be worth the wait. You'll see.
Donna: Well, good things always come to those who wait, right?
Eric: Yeah, they do. We're gonna invite everybody who shares in our joy. I've thought about the wedding a lot. I think we should do a private ceremony-- beautiful, elegant, and I'll take out full-page announcements in all-- the trade- magazines-- "eye on fashion" and this new magazine that Jack Abbott's doing-- what's it called? "Restless style."
Donna: Restless. (Giggles)
Eric: I want everyone to know how happy you've made me.
Donna: Oh, sounds amazing, although I think we might have to hire some extra security to keep one person out in particular.
Eric: You're talking about Pam again. Sweetheart, she doesn't have a vengeful bone in her body. She doesn't.
Donna: Yeah, well, I'm not so sure about that. I mean, she's about as nutty as her banana nut bread. And who knows what she puts in that?
Pam: Yoo-hoo!
Eric: Pam.
Pam: I hope you're hungry.
Bridget: (Sighs)
Nick: I want you to be part of Jack's life.
Rick: (Exhales) hey.
Bridget: Hey. How was your swim?
Rick: Oh, it was amazing. I just-- I love swimming in the morning. It clears my head. It's refreshing. It helps me focus. You should really join me sometime.
Bridget: Mm-hmm.
Rick: All right, what is this? What's going on?
Bridget: What are you talking about? I'm--I'm fine.
Rick: But I'm your brother. I know this look. What's happening?
Bridget: It's Nick. I don't know-- I don't know what happened, but I can't get him out of my mind.
Katie: Hey.
Brooke: Where were you last night?
Katie: I was at Nick's. I was helping him with Jack.
Brooke: I see. And perhaps pushing Bridget on Nick in the process?
Katie: Excuse me?
Brooke: You were pushing Bridget towards Nick. Why would you do that, Katie? Look, it doesn't matter why. I just want it to stop before somebody gets hurt.
Pam: Since yore no longer living with Stephanie, I imagine you have not been eating properly, so I thought I'd whip up a little banana nut bread and pop in for a visit.
Eric: Hmm.
Pam: Loaded with potassium.
Eric: Oh, well, in that case, thank you. It's very sweet of you, Pam.
Pam: How about you, Donna? You hungry?
Donna: I think I'll pass.
Pam: Suit yourself. You look like you could eat a little somethin', though (laughs) um, Eric, I-I actually was wondering if we could speak privately for a minute?
Eric: Sure. Actually, I wanted to talk to you, too, Pam.
Donna: Oh. Well, yeah, the promotion department is waiting for me anyway.
Donna: You know, they really, really missed me while I was gone.
Pam: She's a piece of work, Eric.
Eric: Stop it, Pam. I know what you said to Donna last night and how you threatened her, and I get that you're upset, but I'm not gonna tolerate that kind of behavior.
Jackie: Good morning.
Nick: Mother.
Jackie: Thought I'd stop by, spend a little bit of time with my grandson before hitting the office.
Nick: Oh, he's still asleep. Sorry.
Jackie: Bit of a handful, was he, last night?
Nick: Not really. I actually had a lot of time, reviewed last month's invoices, looked over that proposal you sent me for renovating the warehouse.
Jackie: Wow, I am impressed. How'd you manage to get so much work done while being alone with a baby?
Nick: I had help.
Jackie: Really?
Nick: Yeah.
Jackie: Who?
Nick: Katie Logan.
Rick: What did you do this time?
Bridget: I didn't do anything, Rick. It's actually more what Aunt Katie did.
Rick: I don't follow.
Bridget: Well, she knows about my history with Nick, and she knows that Taylor is gone.
Rick: (Sighs)
Bridget: And she knows that Nick is alone now with Jack. (Sighs)
Rick: Well, I'm sure Nick can handle that. I mean, he loves being a father.
Bridget: Yeah, but it doesn't mean that he wouldn't need a little bit of help.
Rick: Oh. And that's-- that's where you come in? I see.
Bridget: Right.
Rick: Well, why would you subject yourself to that? I don't understand. I mean, I know how vulnerable you are when it comes to Nick.
Bridget: (Sighs) I know. I know. And initially, Is really wary. I thought Nick and I had our chance. But you know, there was a part of me that always thought since I gave Nick up when we got divorced, that maybe he would me back to me someday, and we would have another chance then.
Katie: What's the matter with you?
Brooke: Who appointed you matchmaker?
Katie: I don't see what the problem is.
Brooke: Bridget is vulnerable to Nick. I don't want to see her getting hurt.
Katie: She's not a child. Maybe they could fall in love again.
Brooke: I don think so.
Katie: What makes you so sure? What's really going on he?
Brooke: Nick told me that he still has very deep feelings for me, and I refuse to let Bridget come second in his heart.
Katie: You know, I'm not buying any of this. This is just because you can't make up your mind you don't want Nick to commit to Bridget because you want to keep your options open. You don't know what you want how selfish can you be?
Katie: Brooke, if you want to move on with Nick, then do it. If you want to marry Ridge, then marry him already. But for God sake, make a decision.
Brooke: I know. I know, Katie. This whole thing is really killing me. I mean, it's affecting so many people that I care about, people that I love, and I'm not just talking about Ridge and Nick. I'm talking about the children-- Hope, R.J. and now Bridget. I mean, do you think I like this, dog this to myself to everybody I know? No, I don't. (Sighs) You know, Ridge--Ridge knew that I was going through this, so he told me to take some time and really think about what I want. And every time I do, every time I search my heart, I keep coming back to the same place to these two men, these two incredible men and their families.
Katie: Brooke, you're engaged to Ridge. Keep your commitment to him and everything will fall into place. Nick and Bridget-- they've en through so much. They should together. Bridget loves him. You've said so many times that Ridge is your destiny. Now is your chance to really have everything you've always wanted. Don't mess this up.
Katie: Where are you going?
Brooke: (Sighs) I'm gonna go talk to Nick.
Katie: (Sighs) (door closes)
Pam: Don't be mad at me, Eric. I realize that I said a few things to Donna that I didn't really mean, but it has been so hard for me. Seeing my big sister in so much pain? She was Aly’s the one that I went to find strength, but now I'm just so worried about her, Eric.
Eric: Look, Pam, I don't want to hurt your sister here. I don't. But my heart belongs to Donna now. And as soon as Stephanie and my divorce is final, Donna and I are getting married.
Pam: Don't you think that maybe you should wait a little before you get married? Eric, women like Donna can be very...
Eric: Pam, I can assure you that Donna and I are fully committed to one another.
Pam: (Sighs)
Eric: We want to build a life together.
Pam: And what about the life you built with Stephanie? Look, you might have been able to remove yourself from the home that you shared together. But, Eric, what about this company? You two built this company together. Do what you're gonna do with Donna, but don't take away the last little bit of dignity that Stephanie. Eric, why don't you let her come back and work here? That would mean so much to her.
Bridget: I can just feel it, and I can--I can see it. I think Nick and I are meant to be together.
Rick: Well, that's good. I-I'm sorry. I just-- I care about you, you know? And--and I want you to be happy. I'm st-- I'm just a little concerned that you may end up getting hurt worse than before.
Bridget: I know. I know. But so what? This is our chance.
Rick: (Sighs)
Bridget: I mean, look, Mom is engaged to Ridge. Taylor moved out. Nick is all alone. This is the time for Nick and me to be together.
Jackie: So... you're telling me that Katie was taking care of Jack?
Nick: It was Bridget's idea, actually. She asked Katie to help out when she couldn't be here.
Jackie: Oh, I see. You're spending more and more time with Bridget, en?
Nick: She's helping me out with Jack.
Jackie: Oh, of course. (Laughs) I can't help but wonder, though, whether there's something just slightly more going on between you and Bridget.
Brooke: That's what I'd like to know, too.
Brooke: Tell me, Nick, there something going on between you and my daughter?
Jackie: Huh. I'm going to the office. Bye, darling. (Laughs) Bye, Brooke.
Brooke: Good-bye, Jackie.
Brooke: Well?
Nick: "Well" what?
Brooke: I know that Bridget's always been vulnerable to you. I know that she's always loved you.
Brooke: (Sighs) and you're alone. You're hurting. It'd very easy to fall into her arms but I am begging you, Nick, for my daughter's sake, don't do it.
Rick: Bridget.
Bridget: Huh?
Rick: As your big brother, I feel obligated to ask you this. Have you forgotten how close Mom and Nick are?
Bridget: Rick, I gave up my marriage so that she could be with Nick. No, of course, I haven't
Rick: Okay, great. So why subject yourself to that situation again?
Bridget: Because things are really different now. I went to Mom and point-blank asked her what her feelings were for Nick, and she's marrying Ridge for Nick.
Rick: And you're positive about that?
Bridget: If I just sit here and do nothing, I might make the biggest mistake of my life. Rick, I-I owe it to myself to just tell Nick how I'm feeling.
Rick: Okay. Okay. Well, I want things to work out for you, so I guess when you get home, then we'll--
Bridget: Look, I really hope that I don't come home.
Rick: Well, okay then. Just be careful, and good luck. Come here.
Bridget: Okay.
Rick: Get out of here.
Pam: Eric, you know this company means as much to Stephanie as it does to you.
Eric: But, Pam, I lost this company. I lost this company for a long time because of Stephanie. Now one of the stipulations getting back was that she no longer be a part of this business.
Pam: I know. I-I know all about that. She told me. But her lawyers say that that is actually not legally enforceable.
Eric: Her lawyers, yeah.
Pam: The truth is, Eric, it's really in your hands. You two built this company as a legacy for your children. Now wouldn't it be a shame if their mother were no longer welcome here? You can't keep Stephanie away Eric, please, let her come back and be part of her own family's company. She's losing so much already. You can't take everything from her.
Eric: (Sighs) Nick Marone would see red.
Eric: No. , I don't. You're right, Pam. We've always taken great pride in the fact that Forrester Creations was a-a family business. And it would mean a lot to Ridge and Thorne and to Felicia to be working side by side by their mother again.
Pam: Yes, it would, Eric.
Eric: (Sighs) All right. I'll talk to the lawyers-- my lawyers-- and if it's feasible, we'll do it.
Pam: Thank you so much, Eric. This is gonna make your wife really happy.
Nick: Brooke, I know you're concerned as a mother, but you've got no right to come over here and tell me how to live my life.
Brooke: That's not what I'm trying to do. I'm only concerned about Bridget and Jack. There's a child involved here, Nick, our son. Now know you and Bridget lost Nicole, and it was very devastating for both of you. It took a long time for Bridget to get over her grief. And now she comes over here, and you're here, a man that she loves, and you have a baby, a baby that needs a mother. It's a very alluring package, and it's a very dangerous package for Bridget. I don't want her opening her heart again and getting hurt.
Nick: I have no intention
Brooke: How can you say that? You don't know how this thing's gonna progress.
Nick: Brooke, I think you need to take a step back.
Brooke: I can't take a step back if I know that you can't give Bridget everything that she needs. You told me about your feelings for me, Nick.
Nick: Exactly. And you made your choice. You decided to make a life with Ridge. Now you have no right to come over here and control mine.
Brooke: You're never going to love Bridget the way you love me.
Nick: (Scoffs) Well, that's awfully presumptuous of you, isn't it?
Brooke: No, it's not. It's the truth. You know it, and I know it. Now I am begging you, please, don't do this. I don't want you seeing her. I don't want you getting involved with my daughter!
