Nick: Hey, sleepyhead.

Taylor: Oh, hey.

Nick: Hey.

Taylor: It's late. You're already up and dressed.

Nick: Yeah, I gotta go to the office.

Taylor: Oh.

Nick: You were sleeping so sound last night.

Taylor: Mm-hmm.

Nick: And this morning, you were sleeping, so I thought I'd let you sleep.

Taylor: Mm-hmm. I think it was the best night's sleep I've had.

Nick: Oh, good. You stay relaxed and calm. That's good.

Taylor: Mm-hmm. Yeah, I feel really peaceful.

Nick: Good.

Taylor: I feel very good. Do you mind if, um, you wait a little bit before you go to the office? I'd like to talk to you.

Nick: Can we have this talk if I'm naked?

Taylor: Probably not.

Nick: Then I'll dress. Oh.

(Door closes)

Taylor: You are not going to get to me anymore, Brooke. I won't let you.

Taylor: You are so done.

Storm: Look, Katie, I just... you know, I-I don't want anybody to worry about me. I'm fully aware...

Katie: Thanks.

Storm: That what I did was wrong. I'm in counseling right now. I'm trying to get a grip on my anger towards Dad, and more importantly, I'm just trying to understand how I was able to actually shoot Stephanie and then try to set Dad up for it.

Katie: I'm--I'm glad that you're getting help. I'm really happy about that, and I'm just happy that you're here with us.

Storm: Thanks. I still have a long way to go, but, uh, I don't know. Now it kind of feels like I've got the... (sighs) weight of the world off my shoulders. It feels good...

Katie: Good.

Storm: Which is kind of remarkable that we owe it all to Stephanie. Now this opportunity to heal, well, to make things right, I'm actually kind of indebted to her. You know, I was talking to Brooke about this, and she doesn't think it's a good idea, but there's a part of me that wants to go over to Stephanie's and to, you know, thank her myself. What do you think?

Katie: Yeah, that's a bad idea. It's a bad idea. I mean... (laughs) you--you don't know Stephanie. She could take one look at you and decide to change her mind. I think we should just let this lie. You're free, and that's all that matters.

Donna: Oh, hey. What's going on?

Storm: Hi.

Katie: Hey.

Storm: Well, we were actually just talking about--hi...

Donna: Hi.

Storm: Uh, Stephanie and how grateful I am towards her that she did what she did for us-- set me free and all that kind of stuff. Actually, I was thinking it would be a good idea for me to go over there personally and thank Stephanie, but Katie doesn't think it's a good idea.

Donna: No, no, no, no, it's--it's kind of a bad idea.

Katie: I think what you should do is go to Europe and spend some time with Dad and, you know, reconnect with him.

Donna: Yeah, Katie's right.

Storm: Uh, yeah, okay, it's something to consider, I suppose, but, um, I'll give it some thought.

Katie: Okay.

Storm: Okay, well, you guys have a great day, and I'll see you later. Okay. Bye. Love you both.

Katie: Bye.

Katie: You've got to end things with Eric. You've gotta do it today.

Nick: So what do you want to talk about?

Taylor: Well, you and me and us. Hmm. Well, pretty much everything that's been happening since Jack's been born.

Nick: Okay.

Taylor: Well, all of our lives have been turned upside down, but for some reason, I seem to be the one who was shaken up the most. And I know I've been a little irrational. I'm aware of that. But you've been right there for me. You've been by my side. (Laughs) you've been supporting me, showing me how much you love me. I mean, assuring me how much you love me.

Nick: I do love you.

Taylor: I know that. And... I've just been taking that for granted. I've been taking you for granted. You're... (sighs) you're so amazing. You're so good to me. And it's because of your strength that-- I don't know. I-I just feel like I've been able to find myself again. (Laughs) I mean, I-I don't think I'm gonna let this situation get to me anymore.

Nick: Oh. Aah.

Taylor: Everything's fine. I feel great. You know what?

Nick: What?

Taylor: This is a new day.

Nick: All right.

Taylor: It's a whole new day.

Nick: Mm-hmm.

Taylor: It's a great day for a new beginning for our family.

Nick: Yeah.

Taylor: Mm-hmm.

Nick: I'm kind of liking this newfound strength, to tell you the truth. Ohh.

Taylor: You know what I've missed?

Nick: What?

Taylor: I miss being a woman. Mm. (Whispering) I miss feeling sexy.

Nick: I just got dressed.

Taylor: So get undressed...

Nick: Ahh.

Taylor: And make love to me.

Donna: Just end it? As if it were that simple, Katie.

Katie: Look, I realize how hard this is for you.

Donna: I'm not just thinking about myself. I'm not the selfish brat that you think I am.

Katie: I don't think that.

Donna: I'm thinking about Eric. And believe it or not, he really loves me. And he has proved that to me over and over. I mean, I've tried, Katie. I've really, really tried to break it off with him.

Katie: (Sighs) look, I realize that this is an impossible situation, but you don't really have a choice here. You have got to end things with him. I know it will be difficult. I know how much you love him.

Donna: You know, we're supposed to have a life together. We're soul mates. That's how he feels. I mean, he wants a life together, too.

Katie: Look, I realize that this is what you both want right now. But there are no guarantees in life. You don't know what the future will hold. I mean, what happens six months from now or a year from now? I mean, please don't risk our brother's freedom and his future based on something that you don't even know is gonna be around in a year.

Donna: No, it will be, Katie. It will. We just need a chance to be together.

Katie: Donna, keeping our brother out of prison is the most important thing right now. He needs you. Protect him just like he protected you. Please, you have got to end things with Eric.

(Guitar strumming)

Katie: Look, you should know that Stephanie's been calling me from Chicago. She says she's been trying to get ahold of you, but you're not responding.

Donna: That woman has become my own personal stalker. I mean, she's halfway across the country, and she still won't let up. And now she calls you.

Katie: Well, she's not real happy that you haven't kept your end of the bargain. Storm's time is running out. Stephanie is due back from Chicago later today. You have got to end things with Eric before she gets home.

Donna: Don't you see, Katie, that she is blackmailing us? She has used and abused Brooke for years. I mean, she's done her best to break down Brooke. Because of Stephanie, Brooke was raped. You know, she doesn't give a crap about anybody's happiness but her own. You know, I take it back. She doesn't even know what happiness is. And she certainly doesn't care about what's best for Eric. If she truly loved him, she would set him free, free to have the kind of love that she never could give him. God, you know, it just makes me sick that we're bowing down to her again. You know, she let Dad off the hook. She can't go through with her blackmail if we don't let her.

Katie: What are you talking about?

Donna: It's her word against ours. She won't turn Storm in, or her own dirty deeds will come into light. I say we call Stephanie's bluff.

Taylor: I meant what I said. I'm ready to put the past completely behind us. I am. I'm ready to get home with our family, and everything's gonna work out great.

Nick: (Laughs)

Taylor: I love you, and I love our baby.

Nick: (Laughs) that's about the best news that I could ever hear-- you possibly getting past Brooke.

Taylor: Mm, who's that?

Nick: (Laughs)

Taylor: (Giggles) mmm. We have a baby-- yours and mine. And I love him, and I love you unconditionally.

Jack: (Crying)

Taylor: You're the best thing that ever happened to me.

Taylor: What? What is it? Oh, you come here. Come here, sweetie. I love you. Ahh, were you calling me? Were you calling me? Okay. All righty. (Chuckles)

Nick: Look at that. Hey, buddy. Hey.

Taylor: (Laughs)

Nick: (Laughs) This is what we dreamed of. This is what we wanted-- for you to be a mother to this boy. Look at him. (Laughs)

Taylor: Yep. And I'm gonna be the best mommy I can possibly be.

Nick: Hey, do you like that?

Taylor: (Laughs)

Nick: What happened?

Taylor: What do you mean?

Nick: Well, I just seems like you changed overnight. All of a sudden, you're so loving and accepting of everything. Yeah.

Nick: Show me that grip. That's it.

Taylor: (Giggles)

Nick: Got that muscles. Muscles.

Taylor: Yes. Much happier now.

Nick: (Laughs)

Taylor: I'm gonna put him back to bed.

Nick: Okay.

Taylor: Okay? Ready?

Taylor: Okay.

Nick: Just wondering, how did you turn this around so quickly?

Taylor: You forget I'm a psychiatrist. The mind can actually take control over the emotions if there's a strong enough resolve.

Nick: Wow.

Taylor: Mm-hmm. That's the way it goes.

Nick: And what prompted you to get control of your mind?

Taylor: I don't know. I guess I just needed time, just time to accept that you really do love me and that you really do love our family, and it means everything to you. That's all it is. Now I'm ready to be 100% there for you and for Jack.

Nick: What about Brooke?

Taylor: (Scoffs) that is all in the past, because of you. You know, you helped me find myself again, and it really is all because of just what you did. You let me know you love me.

Katie: Call Stephanie's bluff? Are you out of your mind?

Donna: But this won't be the end, Katie. If we don't put her in her place, she will hold this over us-- what Storm did--for years. This month it's Eric. Next month, what? Something else? I don't want to live like that. Do you?

Katie: No, no, I don't want to live with Stephanie holding this over our head, but what's the alternative? Sending Storm to prison? Donna, please, you have to do what Stephanie wants you to. You have to break things off with Eric.

Donna: But it--it--

Katie: No, no, no, listen. This is about family. It--wasn't it you that just a few weeks ago said that we have to stick together, we have to--we have to have safety in numbers, that we have come from nothing, and we have survived? I know this won't be easy. Making sacrifices-- it's never easy, but Storm won't survive prison. You have the chance to--to keep him free. This is an opportunity for us, for all the Logans, to be the family that we were always meant to be. Don't let Storm down. Don't let the family down. Please, please, don't do that.

Donna: (Exhales deeply) Just--okay, enough. Enough, Katie, okay? I-I just--I-I don't need any more pressure or guilt from you right now. Now I know what I have to do, and I have a plan, so just... (sighs) I'm gonna do it right now.

Nick: I'm really going this time.

Taylor: Okay. Call me when you're on the way home, okay?

Nick: I will.

Taylor: Bye, sweetie. I love you.

Nick: Love you.

Taylor: I don't need this. I don't need it.

Taylor: I can be a great mommy. I can be a great mommy to you. We're gonna have a wonderful life, my son. My son.

Taylor: My son.

Taylor: I don't need this. I don't need it.

Jack: (Crying)

Taylor: It's okay. It's okay, sweetie.

Jack: (Crying louder)

Taylor: (Sighs) (sighs) it's okay. Mommy's here. (Sniffles) Mommy's right here, sweetheart. Everything's gonna be just fine. Yeah, it'll be just fine.

Eric: We have a lifetime of magical moments ahead of us.

Donna: I love you so much.

Eric: I love you. I love you, Donna Logan.

(Door opens)

Donna: Eric, I'm so glad you're back. I-I need to talk to you.

Stephanie: You know, I thought this was really going to be so simple. All you had to say was, "Eric, it's over."

Donna: You're home.

Stephanie: Yes, and you're still here.

Donna: Look, I tried, Stephanie.

Stephanie: Well, obviously, you didn't try very hard, did you? Let's not have any more equivocation and arguments and debates, all right? You simply say to Eric, "Eric, we're finished." And that's it.
