Nick: Hey, babe. Where are you? Hey. Had a change of plans.

Taylor: Oh, hey! What are you doing down here?

Nick: Hi.

Taylor: I wasn't through with you.

Nick: Yeah, well, I wasn't through with you either. Listen, my mother called, and she needs me at the office. Did you make the coffee?

Taylor: Yes, I did. Yes, yes, yes, right here.

Nick: Could you put it to go so I can take it in the car?

Taylor: Okay, yes, sir. I live to serve and please sire.

Nick: You seem different.

Taylor: Oh, I do?

Nick: Yeah, you do.

Taylor: Wow, that's a tall cup.

Nick: You sort of seem like you're energized, maybe back on your feet a little bit, huh?

Taylor: Yes, indeed I am.

Nick: Maybe that panic attack you had yesterday was a good thing-- gets that stuff to resurface and then you can deal with it...

Taylor: Yeah, I think you're right.

Nick: Then, huh?

Taylor: That's it.

Nick: Good. Okay. I'll call you in a while.

Taylor: Okay.

Donna: I tried, Katie. I really tried to end things with Eric.

Katie: Donna, don't try, just do it. Just say, "we're done."

Donna: It's not that simple, Katie. I love him so much, and he loves me. This is the hardest thing I've ever had to do. I can't believe I'm just giving in to Stephanie's blackmail, that I'm just handing him over to her.

Katie: Does she know that you haven't ended it yet?

Donna: She's in Chicago right now helping that psycho sister of hers with their mother, but she made it perfectly clear that I need to end things by the time she comes back.

Katie: Look, Donna, I know that this is hard for you. I can't imagine being in your position, but you're not doing this for Stephanie. You're doing it for Storm.

Donna: Look. I know, I know.

Storm: Anybody home?

Katie: Storm...

Storm: Hey.

Katie: What are you doing here? I thought you were in Paris with dad.

Storm: Yeah.

Katie: What, did you drop him off at the airport and turn back around?

Storm: Well, yeah, actually that's kind of how it happened. It's just-- dad talked about mom the whole way back and how he could make amends, and what he could do to woo her back-- what he could say, so honestly by the time we got there, I just figured I'd be in the way, so I turned around and I came back. I just--you know, honestly, I don't want to run away from my problems like dad did. I thought I could just get my counseling here in L.A., And also it'll give me a chance to reach out to Stephanie.

Donna: Say what?

Storm: Well, yeah. I never really got the chance to thank her, you know. I just-- I want her to know how much I treasure my freedom. I mean, it's amazing after what I did to her what she's doing for all of us. I mean, you know, actually it's kind of unbelievable when you think about it, but anyway, I just want her to know how much I value my second chance. Are you guys okay? I mean, did I interrupt anything? You're both acting a little... (whistles)

Katie: No. We're-- nothing you need to worry about.

Storm: Okay, because we did make a pact that we would tell each other everything. Okay. All right, fine. Well, listen. Just do me a favor and don't forget how much I love you guys, okay.

Donna: We love you, too, Stormy.

Storm: All right. It's good to be back. Well, listen. I think I'm gonna head home and get some sleep. I'm kind of bushed.

Katie: Yeah, yeah.

Storm: You sure?

Donna: Go get some rest.

Storm: Okay. All right, you guys. Good to see you.

Katie: Bye.

Katie: The only way Storm has his freedom is if you leave Eric. That's a condition you haven't met yet. Stephanie is in Chicago, but she's not gonna be there forever. You have got to end things with Eric before she gets back.

Taylor: Okay, sweetie. Yeah. You have sweet dreams, okay? (Doorbell rings)

Taylor: Brooke, what are you doing here?

Brooke: We need to talk. May I please come in?

Taylor: Look. If it's all the same to you, I would really like to forget about what happened yesterday, okay?

Brooke: I'm sorry, but I just can't do that. There's something that you need to know.

Taylor: What is it?

Brooke: All I've been able to think about is you-- you and your child.

Katie: Donna, you are the only one that can keep our brother out of jail. You have got to end things with Eric, and you have got to do it now. If Stephanie comes back from Chicago and you're still with him, she's gonna go right to the police and tell them everything.

Donna: I know what's at stake, Katie, and I don't need any more pressure from you.

(Cell phone ringing)

Donna: It's him.

Katie: Now's your chance.

Donna: Hello.

Eric: Hello, darling. What's up?

Donna: Oh, you know. I don't know. I'M... look. We really need to talk.

Eric: Okay. What about the hotel room? You want to come to the hotel room? I still have some things to do, but in, like, in two hours or so.

Donna: Yeah, I'll be there.

Eric: Donna, I love you.

Donna: I love you, too, Eric.

Katie: So you're going to see him. You really have to end things this time.

Donna: I'll try.

Katie: Let's see if we can figure this out. Let's-- I want to help you. Maybe we can strategize and come up with a way to convince Eric that it's really over. What did you tell him up at the cabin?

Donna: All sorts of things. You know, that it wasn't him, it was me, and it just wouldn't work out. I don't know. Then I said this-- this stupid thing.

Katie: What stupid thing?

Donna: Okay, if I tell you, just realize that I was thinking on the fly.

Katie: Okay.

Donna: I kind of sort of told him that I was a sex addict, that I could never be faithful to him, and that, you know, I've had this problem my whole life, and all I could do was think about having sex all day with strangers.

Katie: Are you kidding?

Donna: Katie, I thought he would be disgusted and want to leave me, but, God, he was so concerned. I mean, he wants to help me with my problem.

Katie: Yeah, I'm sure he does.

Donna: Katie, this is not funny.

Katie: Sorry.

Donna: Okay? He says he wants to go to counseling together, you know, as a couple. I mean, this-- do you see how incredible he is? I mean, he loves me so much he wants to help me with my problem. I just-- I can't do it, Katie.

Katie: Donna, I hate to point out the obvious, but did you ever stop to think that maybe telling Eric that you're a sex addict isn't really a turn-off? Look. I don't want to see him get hurt--I really don't-- but we are in this impossible situation, and we've got to figure out a way out of it. You and Eric will move on, I promise, and Storm will be free. Let's see if we can work with this. Eric says that he wants to help you, right? Talk is cheap. Maybe he needs to understand the seriousness of your condition. Maybe he needs to witness first-hand exactly what your sex addiction really means.

(Nick remembering)

Jackie: It must be torment for you, but nothing compared to the torment that Taylor must be going through. I mean, carrying Brooke's baby for all those months, giving birth to a child that you share with Brooke. I mean, every time she looks at Jack's face, she sees Brooke. Have you thought what might happen to Taylor if the torment is too much for her? I mean, she's not gonna be able to be a good mother. She's not gonna be able to be a good wife. Your lives are gonna be hell. What's gonna happen to that poor baby?

Jackie: Oh, Nicky, hello.

Nick: Hi, mother.

Jackie: Thank you for coming. The reason I called you is because I just need your help sorting out this mess. I mean, Clarke-- he's very, very sweet, darling, but, well, his business acumen quite frankly is-- what's the matter?

Nick: Nothing, mother.

Jackie: Don't you mother me. What-- it's Taylor, isn't it?

Taylor: My child is all you've been thinking about?

Brooke: That's right. Your child. Did you hear me, Taylor? Your child, not mine.

Taylor: Okay, fine. Fine. I'm happy about your word choice, but, you know, over the years I've kind of learned to only look at your behavior instead.

Brooke: I didn't come here as a threat, believe me.

Taylor: Okay, would you just let me deal with what I have to deal with on my own, by myself?

Brooke: No, I can't do that, 'cause whether you like it or not, our lives are intertwined now, and I can't have peace of mind until you have peace of mind. So if there's any way that I can reassure you that Jack is your child, I will do it, but you really need to bond with him and you need to love him. That would be best for all of us. We really need to get along. And through friendship and peace, we can both have happy homes. That is what you want, isn't it? Come on. Let's put all this negativity behind us-- and this competition, once and for all.

Donna: Oh, my God. No. No, Katie. I could never do that to Eric.

Katie: You have to. Donna, come on. Our brother's freedom is at stake. I respect that you don't want to hurt Eric, but this is how it has to be. Look. You had your chance to end things with him, and to be perfectly honest, you failed miserably, so trust me on this. I will arrange everything. This will be the end of your relationship with Eric. I'm sorry, Donna, but there's no other way.

Jackie: Something's wrong with Taylor. I told you. I told you--

Nick: Everything is fine, mother. We had a very good morning. Actually she's doing much better, so you can tell those wheels in your head to stop spinning.

Jackie: How can everything be fine, Nicky, when every time she looks at Jack she sees Brooke's face? And that is going to haunt her forever.

Taylor: Friendship and peace? That's how simple you think the world is?

Brooke: Look. I know it's not gonna be easy, but we really need to try to make this work.

Taylor: Come on, Brooke. I've already tried that route with you about a million times now, and I don't want to hear about your fantasies about our being friends. You know, we are not going to be able to live happily ever after. Our lives are not intertwined, and you're not welcome to keep showing up here like this on my doorstep. I mean, I don't need you coming here and telling me that you're worried about how I'm doing with my child, and I definitely don't need you coming here and telling me that he is my child and that he belongs to me, because I already know that. I've got that, and you're dead wrong if you think I'm gonna be thanking you for giving me my child, so you can just stop already. Just leave me alone.

Brooke: I knew I was taking a risk coming here, but I didn't want to upset you, Taylor. I really came over to help.

Taylor: You came over here to help me? By coming over here and keeping ties going with my son and my husband?

Brooke: What are you talking about?

Taylor: Oh, come on, Brooke. It doesn't take a psychiatrist to see right through you. I can read you like a cheap book.

Brooke: Shh. Isn't the baby sleeping right there?

Taylor: Would you mind your own business? He's fine. Gosh. As if you're a better mother than me.

Brooke: Come on. This was not my intention. I-- is that-- I smell something.

Taylor: Put that down. Give that to me.

Brooke: Have you been drinking? Crash diets are evil.

Donna: He's coming up? Okay, Katie. Yeah, yeah, I'm ready.

Jake: Ah, Donna. Wh-what's going on, huh? Well, you lured me up here, you get me all excited, and--

Donna: I'm sorry. Shh. Just come here. I'll make it up to you, okay?

Eric: What the hell is going on here?

Nick: Mother, I love you, I really do, but I just can't sit and listen to any more of your doom and gloom about how Taylor's gonna be haunted the rest of her life by this. Obviously she's vulnerable right now. It's a tough situation, but she's an intelligent woman. She's a psychiatrist, for God's sake, and she's dealing with it the best way she knows how, and I believe we're gonna be stronger in the end for it.

Jackie: I appreciate the fact that you are an optimist. It's just that I don't see--

Nick: Just take a minute and think about what you're saying. Think about what this woman has done for me. Think about what she's done for you. You wanted to be a grandparent just as much as I wanted to be a parent. She has grown children, and she agreed to have a baby for me. She went through the heartbreak of infertility, she did the IVF with an anonymous donor for me, so don't stand here and tell me that Taylor is too straught and incapable of being a mother to my child.

Jackie: Look. I know you're grateful to Taylor for giving birth to your son, but that anonymous donor that you spoke of isn't anonymous anymore. It's Brooke, and Brooke is the woman that you love most in this world.

Brooke: Are you drinking again?

Taylor: No, no, I didn't. I swear I didn't. I didn't, I swear.

Brooke: Then what the hell is this? I could smell the liquor a mile away.

Taylor: I poured it, but I didn't drink it. I didn't.

Brooke: But you wanted to, didn't you?

Taylor: Yes, but I didn't. I swear I didn't.

Brooke: How dare you, Taylor? How could you order me out of your house and say that you're capable of taking care of this little boy? That little boy is your responsibility, and here you are. You're pouring vodka in your coffee, for God sakes. Hasn't alcohol damaged your life already and the people that you love?

Taylor: Brooke, this has been an incredibly stressful situation. I have been so vulnerable. I have never been this vulnerable in my life, and I think you know why.

Brooke: Now I don't care. That is no excuse. You are supposed to be caring for this little infant, and here you are. You're an alcoholic. Look. I need to get you some help. I'm gonna call Nick.

Taylor: No, no, please. Please, Brooke, no--

Brooke: Yes, I am. He's the only e who can help you, Taylor.

Taylor: Brooke, no. He won't understand. Don't do it.

Brooke: Yes, he will understand, please.

Taylor: Stop it, Brooke.

Brooke: Nick, hi. It's me, Brooke. I'm over at your house right now, and you better get here, because Taylor is drinking again.

Taylor: Stop. She's lying! Stop it. She's lying! She's lying, Nick, again! Get out of here. Get out before I call the police! Get out! I hate you! I hate you, Brooke Logan! I hate you! I didn't take a sip! I wasn't drinking!

Taylor: Pour that out.

Taylor: She took Jack. Brooke. Brooke! Come back here with my baby! Brooke! Oh, God! She took my baby! Oh!
