Taylor: Sweetheart, you've been up all night. You've been pacing the floors. I'm worried about you.

Nick: Forrester did this. He killed McGrath. I'm more certain now than ever.

Taylor: Nick.

Nick: You don't want to believe this. I know he was your ex, the father of your children. It's tough for you. It's all starting to make sense, though.

Taylor: Because Shane was last seen in Ridge's office?

Nick: The kid was angry, he was desperate. My guess is he was waiting for the dressmaker in those offices. Something happened, and this kid wound up taking a bullet. Now, Forrester had plans with Ashley Abbott. He didn't call to cancel, and that's not like him. I think it's because he was out in the bay dumping that body.

Taylor: Did you say all of this to Ridge last night?

Nick: If you would have seen the look in his eyes, you'd know I'm right. I'm going to prove this. And I think I know how.

Ridge: I'm telling you, Mother, Nick's onto me. He knows that Shane McGrath was at our office.

Stephanie: Who told him that?

Ridge: Phoebe. He ambushed her with a bunch of questions, and it came out.

Stephanie: He's spoken to Ashley, as well.

Ridge: Yeah, I know, I know. He thinks he's figured a lot of this out. Now, he's involved Ashley.

Stephanie: Well, I'm not so worried about her. I think I've convinced her that nick is just a desperate man. What I'm worried about is you. You need an air-tight alibi.

Ridge: Look, I don't care how convincing you think you've been, Ashley is suspicious.

Stephanie: You may be right. This could get out of hand. I've been thinking that the best thing would be for you to leave town. Today.

Rick: So, Nick thinks that Ridge killed Shane and is framing him for it?

Phoebe: It's crazy. I mean, but nick's convinced that Shane was last seen at Forrester Originals. I don't know. I don't want to talk about it anymore. My dad would never do something like that. I mean, yeah, he has a temper, but --

Rick: Yes, yes, he does, which I have been on the receiving end a few times. But even I don't think your father would go that far. Although --

Phoebe: What?

Rick: I'm just reminded of this whole Grant Chambers incident.

Phoebe: Grant who?

Felicia: Come on, you crazy kids. 'Fess up. Whose idea was it to put that video on the Internet without telling me first? The phone's been ringing off the hook, and I don't mean it in a good way.

Phoebe: What video?

Rick: I don't know what you're talking about.

C.J.: I think I can answer the question that you have. Follow me.

Phoebe: That's the picture of us singing the other night.

Madison: Yeah, we uploaded the video. There have been like, thousands of hits already.

C.J.: Pretty great, huh?

Rick: Guess again.

Constantine: Oh, I'd hate to be in that dude's shoes. Oh, 5,000 hits? It hasn't even been up 12 hours.

Nick: I am gonna force Baker to reopen this investigation.

Taylor: But you don't have any hard evidence.

Nick: Why weren't these cops all over Forrester? I'll tell you why, because mommie dearest led him every step of the way.

Taylor: You're really convinced that he and Stephanie are in on this together?

Nick: When Forrester didn't show up for his little date with Ashley Abbott, she called Stephanie. She made some excuse that Ridge had some sort of business emergency. So she waited around and went by his office later, and who was there? Stephanie. She now said that he was a business call to Sydney. Well, I bet if Lieutenant Baker checks the phone records, I will bet my crown jewels there is no record of a phone call to Sydney.

Taylor: You know what? She did act very interested to find out what kind of leads you had to clear your name.

Nick: That's because she's up to her designer label in a cover-up. Listen, I know that you're struggling with this. And it might have well been an accident. You know, if you're pregnant, I'd really like to be around to raise this child.

Taylor: I know you didn't do this, but I want you to let me talk to Ridge. I need to look in his eyes, and I'll know if he's holding anything back. I'll know that.

Ridge: Do you think it's going to raise more questions if I leave now?

Stephanie: Not if it's a business trip. We're opening the Paris boutique. I think it's perfectly natural if one of the family were to oversee things.

Ridge: I could take the company jet.

Stephanie: I think we should move quickly.

Ridge: Nick's going to smell a rat.

Stephanie: I'll handle him. It's going to be a little more difficult now, but --

Ridge: Because he's involved Ashley.

Stephanie: No, Taylor. I'm sure he's told her about confronting you. If Taylor sees you, she'll know that something is going on, honey. Who knows you or reads you better than Taylor?

C.J.: What's the problem, bro?

Rick: C.J., look at the Insomnia sign.

C.J.: What about it?

Felicia: Pretty prominent, bro, wouldn't you say?

C.J.: Well, now that you mention it.

Rick: Oh, please, C.J., you know this is just free publicity for your coffee.

C.J.: Rick, buddy, come on. Like I would use my best friend and his girl to promote my coffee? Okay, I'm busted. Look, I saw an opportunity, and I jumped on it. What's the big deal? So I get a little free P.R. for the place. You and Phoebe are stars, man!

Rick: The big deal is Ridge still disapproves of my relationship with Phoebe, and we're trying to keep things quiet.

Felicia: Little too late for that. There's no telling who's watching that video, even as we speak.

Taylor: Stephanie?

Stephanie: Oh, Taylor. What a nice surprise.

Taylor: I'm looking for Ridge. Isn't this his office?

Stephanie: Yes. What did you want to see him about?

Taylor: Well, Phoebe told me that Shane was last seen here, and this was right before his body washed up on the beach, and I was just wondering if Ridge might have seen him when he was here, and if anything had happened. I'm just looking for truth. I need the truth, Stephanie, and I need all of it.

[Mid-tempo piano & hand claps]

Constantine: Right. The investors have already signed off. It's just a matter of scheduling studio time. Sorry, what? Yeah, I'm a little distracted. Can I call you back? All right. "Forrester Originals model Phoebe Forrester takes center stage at press event in Sydney." Whoa, what a face. Constantine, my boy, I think you need to check this out in person.

Phoebe: Don't think you were a little hard on C.J.? I mean, he was just trying to get some free publicity. There's no harm done, right?

Rick: I know, I know, it's just that there's a lot of whack jobs on the Internet these days. And I'm --

Phoebe: And I love you for being protective, but really, it's just a stupid video. Nothing's going to come of it. Can we kiss and make up now?

Rick: Were we fighting just now?

Phoebe: No, no. Any excuse. Why don't we -- why don't we play hooky today and go -- what?

Rick: I can't. I can't, I have a meeting, and I'm late for it. I'm sorry, but I'll catch up with you afterwards?

Phoebe: You better. I love you.

Rick: I love you, too. Come here.

Storm: I'm going to say this again, Nick. It's not a good idea for us to go the press right now with this. It could backfire.

Nick: We got to have a way to keep the pressure on this guy. There's no way he'll keep up the investigation.

Storm: Still, if we make a public statement about shoddy police work, the police and the D.A. will stop at nothing to bury you.

Nick: I'm not going to jail for something I didn't do! I don't care what kind of feathers it ruffles at the LAPD!

Storm: Okay. If we do this, we have to make it seem like the police aren't investigating every lead at their disposal. So, here's what we do. We call Baker over here. We lay it all out for him. Tell him that Shane was last seen alive at Ridge's office, how ridge cancelled his date with Ashley that night. And what it all might mean. If Baker stonewalls us, then we go to the press.

Nick: Fine. But no matter what Baker does or doesn't do, I'm not letting Forrester and his mother get away with framing me. We're going to make damn sure of that.

Stephanie: Well, I hope you're not buying this nonsense that Nick's feeding you.

Taylor: No, I just want some answers. I want to know if Ridge maybe saw him when he was here.

Stephanie: Well, I think Ridge would have mentioned seeing Shane to Lieutenant Baker.

Taylor: Maybe Lieutenant Baker didn't even ask.

Stephanie: You know, you ought to have a little more faith in the man that you used to be married to and happens to be the father of your children.

Taylor: Well, Phoebe told me that Shane was here in this office, and he was becoming a little aggressive, and she asked him to leave the premises, but nobody knows if he ever did. So, I don't know if Ridge maybe ran into him. Ridge was working in the building, right?

Stephanie: Actually, no.

Taylor: So, now you're saying he wasn't working in here? I mean, that's what Phoebe was telling me --

Stephanie: What I'm trying to say -- if you let me finish -- is that Ridge was very upset about Brooke. And he and I were talking, and Ashley came by. She wanted to see him and well, I told a little fib. I said that he was on the phone to Australia because he was embarrassed. He didn't want to talk to her. So, if I, you know, spared my son some embarrassment, then I'm guilty as charged. Is that all?

Taylor: No. No, Stephanie, I want to know if that's the only thing you haven't been honest with me about. Well, is it?

Stephanie: What exactly are you accusing me of?

Taylor: I know you know more than you're saying.

Stephanie: Well, that's what your husband would have you believe, but then, he's casting suspicion on everyone.

Taylor: Stephanie.

Stephanie: You know, I have to say I'm very disappointed. I really am. A woman of your intellect being manipulated this way. So quick to believe the best of your new husband and so quick to condemn a man who -- or did you ever really love Ridge as much as I believed you did.

Taylor: Don't even try that, Stephanie. You know how much I loved Ridge. He was the most important part of my life.

Stephanie: Just not as important as Nick is now, apparently.

Taylor: Well, I didn't come here to talk about Nick. I told you I wanted some answers.

Stephanie: Well, what answers do you want? I don't know. I mean, did Nick, you know, defending Phoebe get out of hand? I mean, did he shoot Shane? Did he throw his body overboard? I don't know. Are those the kind the answers that you want?

Taylor: You haven't even told me where Ridge is.

Stephanie: Ridge is in Paris on business.

Taylor: Why didn't you tell me that when I came in?

Stephanie: Do you want me to get a message to him?

Taylor: No. I can call him myself. I have all the answers I need.

Madison: Rick didn't seem to happy about uploading that video.

C.J.: Don't worry about it. Like, he's a worrier. He comes by it naturally. His family has been through more scandals than Anna Nicole Smith. He'll come around.

Constantine: Hey, hey. I'm looking for Phoebe Forrester. Someone told me she sings here occasionally.

C.J.: Yeah, it's your lucky day, man. She's right over there.

Constantine: Thanks, man.

C.J.: Yeah, no problem. I wonder what that guy wants with Phoebe?

Constantine: Allow me.

Phoebe: Thank you.

Constantine: Is something wrong?

Phoebe: No, I just -- I feel like I know you. You're -- you're Constantine, aren't you?

Constantine: Yeah. That's me.

Phoebe: Oh, my God, this is like --

Constantine: Yeah, for me, too. I've been waiting for a girl like you.

Ridge: What is it, Mother?

Stephanie: Taylor. She was just here. She's so bright. She always picks up on things that other people would miss by a mile.

Ridge: She believes I did it, doesn't she? I can't keep doing this. I cannot keep lying to the people I love.

Stephanie: Stop. Please don't do this to me. We've made a plan, and we've got to stuck to it. The best place for you to be right now is Paris. So, just go to the airport and get on the plane. And stay there.

Nick: Did you see Forrester?

Taylor: He wasn't there. I saw Stephanie, and she told me he was on a business trip.

Nick: Where?

Taylor: Paris.

Nick: He left the country?

Taylor: They're hiding something. I mean, I didn't want to believe it. I don't have any concrete proof, but I know Stephanie pretty well, and I think I can read her better than anyone.

Nick: Did you confront her on this?

Taylor: Mm-hmm. And she kept changing the subject and going and around and then answering my questions with more questions, and then she did this really strange thing where she was tapping a pencil. And she was averting eye contract with me. I know that doesn't prove that she's lying, but you know  

Nick: Still, it's your gut telling you something.

Taylor: I just -- I just can't believe this. I just can't. This is the father of my children, you know -- I just can't believe he would set you up like this.

[Doorbell rings]

Nick: It's Baker. Hello, lieutenant.

Lt. Baker: Mr. Marone, you needed to speak to me?

Nick: I just thought I'd let you know that you arrested the wrong man.

Lt. Baker: Look, save it for the judge and jury. If that's the only reason why you called me over here --

Taylor: Lieutenant Baker, wait. I know who killed Shane McGrath, and it wasn't my husband. It was my ex-husband, Ridge Forrester.
