[I missed the first few seconds of the show. Sorry about that.]
Stephanie: There's a tear in their heart that's probably never going to mend fully. But you can at least try to help. You can focus on them. Maybe if you heal them in the process, you'll heal yourself, too.
Nick: I will snap your arm! You feel that? I'll snap it! Now, who the hell are you? Who are you and what do you want? Who are you?
Harry: Nick, take it easy! It's me, Harry!
Nick: Harry?
Harry: Yes.
Nick: Harry, what are you doing here?
Harry: You mind taking your knee out of my back?
Nick: Oh, yeah.
Harry: Yeah.
Nick: Sorry. Sorry. What the hell are you doing here? My god -- you've grown ten inches, boy! It's good to see you. What's the matter with you? You scare the hell out of me like that. You're on my boat here, you don't call me and tell me you're in town? What's the matter with you?
Bridget: Well, thank you very much. I'll be back soon. They're just finishing up with Phoebe's release papers. So, she should be out of here really soon.
Thorne: She's coloring another picture for her mother. She wanted to visit the room where her mother died. I thought it would be too upsetting, but Taylor suggested that we take the pictures and put them on the door. That way, her mother could see them from heaven. Why didn't I think of that?
Bridget: Thorne, you can't be this hard on yourself. You know Taylor is a trained professional, that's why she thought of it. Plus, Taylor cares just as much about you and Alexandria as you do about her and her daughter.
Thorne: Yeah. I just wish that I could make Phoebe understand that she is not responsible for Darla's death in any way. I mean, that is what caused the panic attack, right? Or is there more to it?
Bridget: What are you saying?
Thorne: Hector. What is his condition?
Lt. Baker: I'd like to know that, too. I got some questions for him if he's up to it.
Bridget: Oh, well, you're going to have to go talk to his doctor. He's not my patient.
Lt. Baker: No, but Phoebe Forrester is. Now, I understand she had some kind of panic attack? I assume her mother's with her.
Thorne: Baker, if you're going to take this opportunity to badger Taylor -- I thought I made myself clear earlier --
Lt. Baker: Yeah, you want me off your wife's case. I know. But right now, I'm more interested in learning what your ex-sister-in-law knows about a possible arson at the Ramirez home.
Phoebe: You're sure you can do this? I mean, like really, really sure? I know how tortured you are about telling the truth.
Taylor: Well, I still am. I'm sure no matter what I do, I'll always be anyway. No matter what I do, I'll just be trading one tragedy for another. There's nothing I can do to bring Darla back. Nothing at all. And the alternative is sitting in jail for years. When I could be there instead for Thorne and his daughter, and mine. I just -- I have so much to make up for.
Lt. Baker: I heard about your granddaughter's panic attack.
Stephanie: Oh, I didn't realize panic attacks were under your jurisdiction.
Lt. Baker: Oh, well, I wanted to speak to her mother also. I understand you were at the Ramirez place tonight when it caught fire.
Stephanie: We both were.
Lt. Baker: You're both all right?
Stephanie: Mm-hmm.
Taylor: Well, Hector's the one who got hurt. If the firemen hadn't gotten there, I don't know what would have happened. It was a horrible accident.
Lt. Baker: Do you mind? These marks on your wrist? Care to explain how they got there?
Harry: So you're mad because I crashed on the Marlin without your consent?
Nick: No, no, I'm not. I'm not mad at you, I just haven't heard your name since -- you were on a Marone freighter headed to Sumatra the last I heard.
Harry: Yeah, and now I'm here. Not that I've got anything to show for it. But -- don't worry, I'm not gonna hit you up for cash. Even though you are the big shot in charge now.
Nick: Yes, I am.
Harry: So, you traded in the captain's hat for the old suit and tie. How's that working out for you?
Nick: Let's just say -- it's an adjustment.
Harry: Yeah, I would guess. So, you miss it?
Nick: You know, Harry, what I miss are men like your father. Because he was a hell of a sailor and he was a hell of a friend.
Harry: You know, nick, that -- it wasn't your fault.
Nick: Still, see, I was at the helm when the tanker went down. You know, everything happened so fast. I did what I could to save the crew, your father included.
Harry: Hey, don't, okay? It was an underwater quake, the reef shifted, and there's no way you could have known --
Nick: Wives lost husbands, kids lost their fathers, and you lost the most important person in the world to you. And I'm sorry. I'll never really be able to make that up to you.
Harry: You know, still you were always there for me. You found me work, loaned me some bucks when I was short -- made me get a good education while I was traveling the world on a freighter.
Nick: I think that's the way your father would have wanted it.
Harry: What he wanted was for me to love the sea as much as he did. As much as you do. And I do. Do you think he knows?
Nick: Well, I think whatever ship he's on up there, he's proud of the man that you've become. And for what it's worth, so am I.
Stephanie: What are you getting at, Lieutenant?
Phoebe: What's that?
Lt. Baker: We found it on the stairway. Or should I say, what was left of the stairway. It's a burnt Velcro strap.
Stephanie: And what does that have to do with anything?
Lt. Baker: Well, maybe nothing. But if the fire wasn't really an accident, and someone wanted to kill someone because they knew too much --
Stephanie: Oh, would you stop this, please? Don't say things like that in front of my granddaughter. She's been enough -- she's been through enough already tonight.
Lt. Baker: And which I don't mean to seem insensitive to. I mean, I realize how frightening a panic attack can be. But I've probably got a pretty good idea as to what triggered it.
Taylor: You know her medical history?
Lt. Baker: No, but it's obvious your daughter's still struggling with what -- you know, with what happened to her aunt.
Stephanie: We all are. Your point?
Lt. Baker: Well, it's just that, phoebe, if you're starting to feel responsible, say, feeling guilty because no one's been arrested, and you were the only eyewitness --
Stephanie: Oh, lieutenant, this is just nonsense. Look, my son wants you to drop this, and so do I. My family needs closure. We have to move on, and I just do not want you interfering in the process.
Harry: By the way, I heard you tied the knot. And not the type of knot sailors are known for.
Nick: Got lucky.
Harry: You could say that again. Your bride's a total babe.
Nick: See the wedding photo, did you?
Harry: Yeah, more like her almost nude body sprawled across a rock --
Nick: Hey, hey, hey, hey, you're talking about the mother of my children here.
Harry: Wait, you two have got kids?
Nick: They're Brooke's kids, but I love them like they're my own.
Harry: Oh, so, no wonder you've got no time to look after this old tub anymore. You're too busy playing dad.
Nick: Tub? Tub? You're calling my boat a tub? What's the matter with the shady marlin?
Harry: Oh, nothing. I mean, now that I've drained the bilge, flushed the fuel lines, repaired the hull -- I'm telling you, Nick, you might want to get someone to look after this place for you.
Nick: Probably not a bad idea. You got anybody in mind?
Taylor: He isn't gonna let this drop.
Stephanie: He's just trying to intimidate you.
Taylor: He already knows everything.
Stephanie: Taylor? We have made a decision and there's no going back. Is that clear? Phoebe, do you understand? Thorne's outside. Let's go out there and reassure him that everything's all right.
Taylor: I'll be right back, sweetheart.
Thorne: Hey, Bridget just took Alexandria to the cafeteria to get some ice cream. She didn't want to put these up until you could be there. How is Phoebe? Is she all right? Are you all right?
Stephanie: Yeah, phoebe's fine and so is Taylor. Much to the lieutenant's chagrin.
Thorne: What happened in there? Why did Lt. Baker --
Stephanie: Oh, honey, it's not important. And everything's been taken care of. I've seen to it.
Taylor: Why don't we take these up to Alexandria and let her put them on the door?
Stephanie: I'll wait for you.
Thorne: Thank you, Taylor. For everything. Wow. Those sure are beautiful pictures you're putting on mommy's door.
Alexandria: You think she can see them?
Thorne: I know she can. She's always watching over us, sweetheart.
Darla: Girlfriend handshake. Peace.
Alexandria: Peace.
Darla: Love you, love you, love you.
Alexandria: I love you, mommy.
Darla: I love you, my baby. Everybody seems to be having a really great time.
Thorne: Mm-hmm. You've done another amazing job.
Darla: Now, you put a family in one room who all love each other as much as this family does --
Thorne: Yeah?
Darla: You can't go wrong.
Thorne: As long as you're there, too.
Darla: Always.
Thorne: Always.
Alexandria: Daddy?
Thorne: Yeah?
Alexandria: Are you thinking about Mommy?
Thorne: Yeah, I am.
Alexandria: Me too.
Bridget: Taylor? Hey, how did it go upstairs with ally?
Taylor: Oh, I think putting those pictures up did bring her some closure.
Bridget: Good. I got word that Hector's been asking for you.
Taylor: Have you seen him?
Bridget: No, I still haven't been able to get in there, but I hear he's doing much better.
Taylor: What room is he in?
Bridget: He is in -- I think it's 610. Yeah.
Taylor: Okay. Well, I do want to talk to him, but I need to get back to Phoebe. Because I know she wants to get home.
Bridget: Well, Stephanie's in there. I'm sure she wouldn't mind helping. Do you want me to let them know that you'll be home right after you talk to Hector?
Taylor: Yeah, yeah. Would you do that?
Bridget: Sure.
Taylor: All right, good, thanks.
Harry: You know, I guess I could pitch in if you're really in a jam.
Nick: It certainly would be helping me out.
Harry: What? Babysitting the Marlin?
Nick: Well, I don't know if I'd call it babysitting. You know, there's chrome to polish and decks to swab.
Harry: In exchange for -- a roof over my head?
Nick: And a fair wage. Of course, you know, living here on this -- what did you say, "old tub"? -- If that cramps your style, I understand.
Harry: Are you serious? I mean, really, this place is a five-star hotel compared to the freighter I just got off of.
Nick: So, then, do we have a deal?
Harry: Aye-aye, captain.
Bridget: Everything's been signed and she's completely free to go.
Stephanie: Thanks, Bridget.
Bridget: I'll see you later.
Stephanie: Okay. Phoebe? Phoebe, you should have told me about this. You shouldn't have had to deal with this.
Phoebe: She didn't ask me to. I mean, it's not her fault Hector and I lied to the police.
Stephanie: But you protected your mother by lying for her. And she should never have allowed you to do that. Okay, I'm sorry. It's over and done with. And hopefully no one's ever going to find out that she was involved in the accident. You put this all behind you, okay? This isn't your burden to carry anymore. You get on with your life. The rest of us are trying to do the same thing.
Hector: Taylor?
Taylor: I'm kind of surprised to see you out of bed.
Hector: Oh, well, you know what they say, you can't keep a good man down.
[Hector chuckles] But after what happened tonight, you'll probably never see me like that ever again.
Taylor: You know, Hector, I can understand that you panicked, and I can understand that you were scared, but to tie somebody up, and then to threaten their life like that -- that I don't think I will ever understand.
Hector: Is it too late? Are we going to prison?
Taylor: I had a long talk with Stephanie and she convinced me that my life would be better served for others.
Hector: Stephanie knows?
Taylor: She knows everything.
Hector: And she agrees with me?
Taylor: Well, I guess you could say she kind of feels like it could be my atonement to be there for Thorne and Alexandria as long as it's needed. Although, I guess a part of me will always feel like I should have confessed.
Hector: So, what happens now?
Taylor: Well, I'm going to leave you out of it. I'll never let anybody know that you had any kind of involvement.
Hector: Taylor, I just thank god that you got out of that house.
Taylor: No, thank god that Stephanie showed up when she did.
Hector: Stephanie was there?
Taylor: Yeah, we both tried to pull you out, but you were trapped under the beam. And, you know, then your firefighter friends showed up when they did, thank god they did. So, how are you feeling? Are you all right?
Hector: I'm blind.
