Bridget: Maybe you should've driven Felicia home.

Dante: I tried to offer, but she wouldn't accept.

Bridget: I really hope that she's gonna be okay after all of this.

Dante: Look, Bridget, we had to be honest, okay? We owe it to Felicia and we owe it to ourselves.

Bridget: I know that. I know. And believe me, part of me is relieved. But for our happiness to come at her expense -- I love my sister. I don't want her to be upset.

Dante: But, Bridget, she loves you very much, okay? She's just hurting right now. Look, Felicia will get past all this someday, and things are gonna be okay between the two of you. Now, as far as we're concerned, nothing is standing in our way. We can finally love each other.

Nick: A nice gift for little Hope. My old ducks. Hi. How'd dinner go? You showed him the announcements, didn't you?

Brooke: Yes. And he understands. We're getting married.

Nick: We are getting married. No matter what he pulls, we're getting married.

Brooke: I know, and I had to make him see that. Not because I don't love him. Because I do and I always will.

Nick: You know, Brooke, I think you have to hold onto that. You gotta hold onto the memories and all of the good things the two of you had together.

Brooke: I know. I know, and that's what I had to get him to see in order for him to start letting go.

Nick: Yeah. Listen, I know this is hard. I know both of you probably are really hurting.

Brooke: It's not because I love you any less.

Nick: I know.

Brooke: It's just, seeing his face -- I want him to move on and have a life after me. I really want that for him.

Nick: I see that. But you know, he's gotta do something on his own here. He's gotta want that himself.

Brooke: And he will, in time. Maybe he'll find something as wonderful and special as what I found. But until then -- I don't know, Nick, I can't help it. My heart just breaks for him.

Stephanie: Ridge isn't answering his phone.

Brio: Perhaps he's forgotten.

Stephanie: No, this whole thing was his idea. Oh, hi. Honey, I've been calling all over looking for you. Brio and I have been waiting. You know, waiting to make decisions with you for the shoot for tomorrow. You know, the themes, the backdrops, props, things like that.

Ridge: Yeah, yeah. Brio, I apologize. I'm sorry I was so late. Could we do this first thing in the morning instead?

Brio: Of course, Ridge. Anything for you. Good night.

Stephanie: Good night. I'm sorry.

Ridge: Thank you.

Stephanie: Thank you. What's going on?

Ridge: Brooke invited me to join her at the private dining room.

Stephanie: Oh. Well, that's always been a special place for the two of you.

Ridge: Yeah. She invited me there to say good-bye. It's over, Mother. It's over between us. Over for good.

Nick: Well, I'm gonna go do this. You gonna be okay?

Brooke: I'll just wait here till you get back. The sooner you get these divorce papers signed, the sooner you and I can get married.

Nick: Honey, Bridget's going to be fine. You know she wants us together. You know that.

Brooke: I know. Give her my love.

Nick: I will.

Dante: I love you so much. And now you're mine.

Bridget: Yes, I am.

[Knock at the door]

Nick: This is awkward.

Dante: Happens when you show up unannounced.

Bridget: Honey, did you get lost? I was starting to --

Nick: Something I need to talk to you about. Alone.

Dante: All right. I'll grab a quick shower, then we'll pick up where we left off, all right?

Bridget: Okay.

Nick: So --

Bridget: Your reason for stopping by --

Nick: Well, I pulled a few strings and I had our divorce finalized a little early. Hope you're okay with that.

Stephanie: Where's Nick?

Brooke: Stephanie. What difference does it make? You're not here to see Nick. You came to badger me some more.

Stephanie: No, no. Ridge told me about the conversation you had with him tonight.

Brooke: Things couldn't continue the way they were.

Stephanie: Well, he feels hopeless. I mean, he feels as though he's lost you.

Brooke: We'll always be a part of each other's lives because of R.J.

Stephanie: Oh, Brooke, that's not enough for him. And it's certainly not enough for you.

Brooke: Stephanie --

Stephanie: No, look, he's upset about you. And I'm worried how it's going to affect him physically. I don't want him to end up back in the hospital.

Brooke: Stop, don't do that to yourself. Ridge is fine. He's strong now. He's made a remarkable recovery.

Stephanie: Because of you. And because of his love for you. But now I'm worried. I'm worried if I don't do something, I -- what do I -- how do I reach you? What do I have to do to stop you from rushing into this ridiculous marriage? I mean, just tell me. I'll do it. Don't close the door on you and Ridge. Please, don't do that.

Brooke: Ridge is finally accepting the fact that it's over between us.

Stephanie: Why, because Nick has said it has to be or else?

Brooke: If you're suggesting that Nick has given me an ultimatum --

Stephanie: Well, he's angry, isn't he? I mean, for goodness sakes, he's angry because you forgave Ridge. He's angry about the kiss on the runway. But it's you -- it's your behavior. You act as though you have two strikes against you and you're waiting for the third.

Brooke: Where did you hear that?

Stephanie: Wait a minute. He didn't say something like that to you, did he?

Brooke: Nick's been pushed to the limit. I don't blame him for being upset.

Stephanie: Oh, for goodness sakes. Since when have you let any man dictate how you're going to live your life? Ridge never did anything like that or tried to do anything like that because he knows you're a free spirit. He appreciates you in a way that Nick never will.

Brooke: I love Nick, Stephanie. He makes me happy.

Stephanie: Oh, really? Have you convinced yourself of that, really, in order to justify taking him away from Bridget?

Brooke: I'm not going to get into that.

Stephanie: The only reason Nick's rushing you to the altar -- the only reason is because he's afraid you'll really follow your heart and go back to Ridge.

Brooke: And I am following my heart and it's leading me to Nick.

[Stephanie scoffs] Now for the love of God, can we please just stop this? We all have to work together. Tomorrow, you me and Ridge -- we have to do that photo shoot together. Let's all be on our best behavior, okay? No more stunts. Because Nick's not going to put up with it and neither am I. Do you understand, Stephanie? Look, I know you love Ridge. So do I. And neither of us want to lose him. But life isn't as simple as it used to be. Hope and Bridget, they want this marriage to Nick. And nothing is going to make me back out now.

Bridget: That anxious to get rid of me?

Nick: No. No, actually.

Bridget: I was just kidding, Nick.

Nick: Well, you seem to be in a good place. You seem happy.

Bridget: Thanks. I am.

Nick: Because of him.

Bridget: I know he's not your favorite person -- maybe the one you would've chosen for me, but he is making me happy. And you found happiness with mom. Shall we do this? What's wrong? It's what you wanted. It's what we both wanted. And now you have it. She's yours. I'm really happy for you. The both of you. Get going.

[Massimo sighs]

Stephanie: Where's Ridge?

Massimo: He said he needed some time for himself.

Stephanie: And you just let him leave after everything he's been through this evening?

Massimo: Oh, sure, as opposed to you, walk out of here without saying a word when our son needs us the most?

Stephanie: Well, I went to see Brooke.

Massimo: What did you do, sock her in the jaw, knock her head off? Or some interesting combination between the two?

Stephanie: No. I actually went down and asked her if she wouldn't please reconsider and rethink this whole thing.

Massimo: A lot of good that must have done.

Stephanie: Well, that's what I thought. But then she said something to me that got me to wondering.

Massimo: Something that could help Ridge?

Stephanie: Perhaps. I have a plan.

Nick: That wasn't as easy as I thought.

Brooke: How's Bridget?

Nick: She's okay.

Brooke: How do you feel?

Nick: How do I feel? Why don't you tell me?

Brooke: You feel good.

Nick: We're getting married, beautiful. And there's nothing gonna stop us.

Massimo: So you're saying that Brooke has two strikes against her already.

Stephanie: We need one more.

Massimo: Okay, and that's the third strike.

Stephanie: Right. Nick has said "Three strikes and you're out." So that might just be the end of Nick and Brooke.

[Brooke giggles]
