Ridge: What's that look?

Brooke: I'm just so happy.

Ridge: Good. Because that's what it looked like.

Brooke: I am. An hour ago, I wasn't sure if you wanted to be with me anymore.

Ridge: We're moving on, Logan.

Brooke: You looked so hurt when I told you.

Ridge: I was scared. Scared of losing the future we planned.

Brooke: So was I. But we can still have that future. It's going to happen. You just have to believe it.

Ridge: I believe in you. I believe in your love for me and our family. I believe in that little baby growing inside of you. I know how much all this means to you. And I know you'd never do anything to jeopardize that.

Brooke: I wish I'd told you sooner. I should have.

Ridge: That's what you were discussing with Nick outside the wedding, wasn't it?

Brooke: Jackie's vows really got to me about honesty, no secrets in a marriage.

Ridge: Not to mention sally's little surprise announcement, huh?

Brooke: About that.

Ridge: Nick didn't know you were pregnant, did he?

Brooke: No, this -- this isn't really about Nick. I think there's something you should know.

                        ***************************************************************************************

Sally: Something's not right about this, Darla. Brooke definitely should have called by now.

Darla: You're acting like it's a done deal.

Sally: It is -- well-done.

Darla: So, what, Brooke is just gonna give you back your company?

Sally: Lock, stock and steam room.

Darla: And why is that?

Sally: Well, gee, I don't know, Darla. Maybe it's because I really didn't offer her any other choice.

Darla: You know, Sal, Brooke is pregnant. This kind of stress, it just --

Sally: Is completely avoidable, Darla. She gives me what I want, and her secret never gets out. And I just don't understand why it's taking so long for her to make up her mind.

Darla: You gave her a chance to think about it?

Sally:  Of course. Sometimes fear of exposure takes a little while before it turns into full-blown panic. But enough is enough. I am going over there.

Darla: Whoa, whoa, wait a minute. Now?

Sally: Yes, now, Darla. I take care of this thing and get it settled tonight. I can be back in my own office first thing in the morning.

                        ************************************************************************************

Eric: Bridget, wait, wait. Don't go.

Bridget: I don't have anything else to say to you.

Eric: Oh, I do.

Bridget: Are you going to apologize?

Eric: Yes. I'm sorry. I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings.

Bridget: Not to me, dad, to Deacon.

Eric: It just turns my stomach the way you defend him.

Bridget: Well, what you just did to him turns mine.

Eric: Deacon brought it on himself.

Bridget: Dad, you tricked him into giving up his son's inheritance.

Eric: I was protecting his son's inheritance and yours, too.

Bridget: This has nothing to do with me or Eric!

Eric: God, if you could hear yourself right now.

Bridget: What, you don't think I know what I'm saying?

Eric: No, I don't. Not after everything he did to you and to your brother. Listen, Deacon Sharpe is a dangerous, dangerous man. It would be a stupid mistake to let him back in your life.

Bridget: Are you calling me stupid?

Eric: Honey, I'm questioning your judgment. You can't forget who this man is.

Bridget: I don't even know who you are right now. Where's my father? Where's the man I looked up to and respected my entire life? The man who taught me that nothing in the world is more important than honesty and integrity?

Eric: Honey, integrity is doing the right thing even when it's very, very hard. Integrity is doing the right thing even when others disagree with you.

Bridget: Are you suggesting lying to Deacon was the right thing to do?

Eric: Yes. Yes, it was.

Bridget: It was mean.

Eric: Honey, I know it seems harsh.

Bridget: He needed this!

Eric: Sally could have helped him put together --

Bridget: No, dad, I'm not talking about the job. He needed you. He needed your respect.

Eric: Honey, he's done nothing to earn my respect.

Bridget: Dad, just listen to me for one second!

Eric: All right, that's enough!

Bridget: It is not enough! He was so excited about this. You should have seen him. And his ideas were good, dad. You know they were good. No.

Eric: You stop it. You stop it. And whatever you're feeling for this man -- whatever you're feeling, you stop it. Your instincts were wrong about him before, and they're wrong now. You can't trust him.

Bridget: I should trust you?

Eric: Yes.

Bridget:  No, daddy. After tonight, I don't know if I could ever trust you again.

                        ********************************************************************************

Ridge: There's something else you need to tell me?

Brooke: It's sally. She knows.

Ridge:  About the foundry?

Brooke:  About the pregnancy, about the paternity test.

Ridge: How?

Brooke: I don't know. But that's not important. I mean, it's not a secret anymore, so there's nothing she can do.

Ridge: Did she threaten you?

Brooke: She wanted to take her company back.

Ridge: And if you didn't give it to her?

Brooke: She said she was going to tell you everything she knew. But that's not why I'm telling you right now. Believe me, I wanted to be honest with you so many times.

Ridge: Who does Sally think she is anyway? Using our family crisis to get her company back?

Brooke: It didn't work.

Ridge: Does anyone else know?

Brooke: I doubt it. She couldn't risk you finding out by somebody else.

Ridge: She underestimated you, didn't she? I'm so sorry you had to handle this on your own.

Brooke: You didn't know.

Ridge: Well, I know now. And she's not gonna get away with this.

[Doorbell rings]

Brooke: That's the doorbell.

Ridge: I'll get it.

Brooke: No, I'll get it. I think it's Rick. He's been down lately. I told him if he needed to talk to just come by.

Ridge: Hey -- you are an incredible woman. Sally Spectra has no idea what she's messin' with.

                        *************************************************************************************

Deacon: I thought maybe it was time I put this away.

Bridget: You -- you left your front door open.

                        ***************************************************************************

[Doorbell rings]

Brooke: Hold on. I'm coming.

Sally: Good evening, Mrs. Forrester. Is your husband at home? Don't just give a gift give the good life.

Brooke: Sally?

Sally: Yes. And thank you so much, Brooke. I really do want to come in for a few minutes.

Brooke: It's late.

Sally: Very. And obviously I've caught you in the middle of something. So why don't you just hand me the keys, and I will get out of your hair.

Brooke: The keys?

Sally: Yes. The keys to my building. You know, Spectra Fashions? I really want to get a moving crew in there first thing in the morning.

Brooke: Well, that won't be necessary. I'm not leaving.

Sally: I thought I made myself pretty clear about that earlier today.

Brooke: You did.

Sally: I want my company back.

Brooke: You can't have it back.

Sally: Well, then I suggest that you call a moving company to come over here. Because when I tell your husband about the night you spent with his brother, he's gonna send you packing. Where is he? Upstairs?

Ridge: No, Sally. I'm right here.

                        ********************************************************************************

Thorne: Good, you're still here. Did Deacon sign the papers before Bridget showed up?

Eric: Yeah. Yeah, he did.

Thorne: Well, that's a relief. If she'd gotten here before he left --

Eric: Well, she did.

Thorne: Did she tell him about the plan?

Eric: Well, that doesn't matter now.

Thorne: He must have been furious.

Eric: Yes. And I expected him to be angry. But your sister --

Thorne: Yeah, she was pretty hot when she left Mom'S.

Eric: What's the matter with her? I mean, what is she thinking defending Deacon? And trying to convince me that he's changed?

Thorne: Well, obviously, she didn't.

Eric: No, she didn't. And I wasn't able to convince her to stay away from him.

Thorne: I know. It doesn't make sense, dad. I mean, she knows this guy's history. Hell, she lived it.

Eric: She didn't learn a damn thing from it, not one damn thing.

Thorne: Listen, you want me to talk to her?

Eric: No, no. I'll take care of it.

Thorne: Dad, if she's not listening to you --

Eric: Well, then I'm gonna have to take it up with somebody else.

Thorne: Deacon? Dad, wait, wait. Maybe you should cool off before you go over there.

Eric: Well, I'm gonna put a stop to this thing before it gets started again. He almost destroyed her life before. I'm not gonna let that happen again.

                        *******************************************************************************

Bridget: My father conned you. And he used me to do it.

Deacon: Bridget, this -- this whole subsidiary idea? It was mine.

Bridget: I told you you could trust him, Deacon.

Deacon: I trusted you.

Bridget: I know. I'm so sorry.

Deacon: For what? You stood up for me in there.

Bridget: Yeah, that worked out really well, huh?

Deacon: It did for me. Do you know why this whole business deal was so important? I needed proof that somebody believed in me. I got it.

Bridget: What are you talking about? You got it? My father screwed you.

Deacon: I'm not talking about him.

Bridget: Me?

Deacon: Look, so I lost control over my son's stock in Forrester. Big deal. I got something so much more valuable. I got your confidence back in me.

Bridget: I wish my father had more confidence in me. He told me I was stupid for believing in you.

Deacon: Hey. You're not stupid.

Bridget: And you're not dangerous. And my dad doesn't get that. All he cares about is his stupid company.

Deacon: That's not true.

Bridget: Deacon, he set you up. And trust me when I tell you, he will do everything in his power to see your company fail.

Deacon: Maybe. It's got nothing to do with you.

Bridget: Of course it does. I care about --

Deacon: Your father loves you very much. And he's worried, and he's got a right to be with my history.

Bridget: Your history is exactly that. It's history, the past. And for him to use that as an excuse for his own disgusting behavior --

Deacon: Don't do that.

Bridget: Why shouldn't I?

Deacon: Because he's your father.

Bridget: He was arrogant and he was --

Deacon: He's your father. And I'm never gonna stand between the two of you again. I'm not that guy anymore.

Bridget: I know. I saw something in you when we got married. And I still see it.

                        *******************************************************************************

Ridge: Well, good evening, sally. What brings you by at this hour?

Sally: I have some news.

Ridge: Hmm. It must be important.

Sally: It is. It's pretty scandalous actually.

Ridge: Yeah? What is it?

Sally: Your wife's been cheating on you. She has been ever since the night you were presumed dead. Now, while you were fighting for your life and while your family was grieving, you'll never guess where Brooke was.

Ridge: In my brother's arms?

Sally: She off in the sack -- you know?

Ridge: She told me.

Sally: Then what is she doing here?

Ridge: She lives here, Sally.

Sally: She cheated on you.

Ridge: No, she didn't.

Sally: She and your brother. And that baby that she's carrying --

Ridge: Sally, that's really none of your business.

Sally: You can't forgive her.

Ridge: Listen, I know you've had a lot of disappointments lately and you're angry and frustrated, and you probably have every right to be, but I am not gonna let you take this out on Brooke.

Sally: What did you tell him?

Brooke: The truth.

Ridge: And she doesn't have to tell you anything. Now, I'm only gonna say this once. Stay out of our business.

Sally: You're gonna regret this, you know? You know what she's done. And if you let this slide, you're gonna deserve everything you get.

                        *********************************************************************************

Brooke: Thank you.

Ridge: She can't bother you anymore.

Brooke: God, she just won't let up.

Ridge: What else could she do, really?

Brooke: She could tell Stephanie.

Ridge: So, we'll deal with mother tomorrow then.

Brooke: No, Ridge, we can't wait. I'm gonna tell Katherine that we're going out.

Ridge: Oh, brooke, do you really have to do this tonight?

Brooke: Stephanie's going to find out. And I'd rather her hear it from me.

                        *****************************************************************************************

Deacon: You stood up to your dad because you see something in me?

Bridget: Deacon, I would have defended anyone he treated like that. What he did to you --

Deacon: That is just such --

Bridget: -- Principle.

Deacon: That is bull. You still have feelings for me.

Deacon: Admit it. Don't you wonder every day what it would be like if I hadn't messed things up? You tell me right here, right now that you don't think about what it would be like for us to be in love now the way we are? Bridget, with you believing in me, there's nothing I can't do. I can make up for all the past. I can make up for all the bad, all the hurt, all the mistakes. I know that I can be the man you need.

Eric: Get your hands off my daughter!
