Macy: So, come on. Out with it. You say my prayers have been answered?

Adam: Yes, and mine, too. It's unbelievable. But we have to be very careful.

Macy: Careful about what?

Adam: Well, honey --

Lorenzo: I need to talk to you.

Adam: Uno momento.

Lorenzo: Now. And somewhere else.

Adam: Someone's here?

Lorenzo: Earlier. It could be nothing.

Macy: You didn't say anything.

Lorenzo: I didn't want to alarm you. It was probably just a tourist.

Adam: You know where he's staying? All right, let's go.

Macy: Dad --

Adam: Honey, we'll be back -- soon.

Macy: Vi, vi.

[ Speaking Italian ]

*************************************************************

Brooke: Grazie. I know why you're here.

Massimo: Do you?

Brooke: You saw Ridge and me in the town square.

Massimo: Yes, I did.

Brooke: And you thought that my behavior was disgraceful.

Massimo: As anyone would.

Brooke: No, not anyone. Not Ridge. In case you hadn't noticed, Ridge had a huge smile on his face. And that was there because I put that there. And I'm going to keep putting it there, no matter what you have to say. Capisce?

***************************************************************

Bridget: Still out?

Ridge: All three of them. How'd you do that?

Bridget: Don't blame me. Jet lag.

Ridge: Man, we should bottle this stuff.

Bridget: No, no, you see, you say that now, but just wait until 3:00 A.M. When they're all bouncing off the walls.

Ridge: Yeah, I guess. What's all this?

Bridget: It's been coming in all day. Accessories from wannabe designers.

Ridge: Great, everybody wants to get into the act. What do you think?

Bridget: Oh.

Ridge: Huh? Huh?

Bridget: Yeah, yeah, that's so you.

Ridge: I don't know, something's missing here. Let's see. How about this? Ha! Is this macho or what, huh? This is me.

Bridget: Oh, my God. You are such a dork.

Ridge: This is me.

Bridget: Tell me something, um, what exactly does my Mother see in you?

Ridge: I have absolutely no idea, but I'm feeling good.

Bridget: Oh, yeah. Yeah, you're looking good.

Ridge: Yeah.

Bridget: Wow.

*****************************************************************

Adam: What are we doing here? This man could be skipping town --

Lorenzo: There is no man.

Adam: What do you mean?

Lorenzo: But there easily could be. Because you were about to jeopardize everything we work for, by telling her about this!

Adam: Lorenzo, it's her Mother.

Lorenzo: It's death -- for all of us. If anyone finds out Lena is here, alive, with you -- Lena never hears about this.

Adam: I think you're being a little paranoid.

Lorenzo: Paranoid? I'm trying to keep your daughter alive!

Adam: I would never put Macy in harm's way. Lorenzo, I'm telling you, we can make this work. Macy may never have another chance like this. Sally is in Portofino.

Lorenzo: Along with the Forresters.

Adam: Is that what this is about? You're worried about Thorne.

******************************************************************

Massimo: So you don't care what I think?

Brooke: No. Nor what Stephanie thinks, or anybody else for that matter. Ridge is enjoying my company.

Massimo: As so many men have. But not for very long, though, hmm? I mean, how many times now has it been that Ridge has passed you over for someone with a little more -- how can I put it? Substance? And what makes you think that this is gonna be any different? Capisce?

*******************************************************************

Ridge: Yeah. Here we go.

Bridget: Oh.

Ridge: My little chickadee, perfect. Perfect. I knew we'd get you back into modeling.

Bridget: You are in a particularly good mood. Lunch must have been fun.

Ridge: Yeah, it was. Didn't think there'd be many of those for the next while.

Bridget: It's okay, you know?

Ridge: Yeah, I know.

Bridget: It's nice for Mom, too. You know, it really means a lot to her that she can do this for you.

Ridge: She's a special lady.

Bridget: How special? I mean, everybody knows how Mom feels about you. Except maybe Mom, she doesn't admit that to herself yet. But you --

Ridge: But me what?

Bridget: Never mind.

Ridge: Bridget, well, wait, wait. Are you asking what my intentions are?

Bridget: Uh, that was a very inappropriate question. I'm sorry. Can we just forget I said anything?

Ridge: No, not really. I mean, it's already out there.

Bridget: Out there?

Ridge: Geez, Bridget, I can't believe you're tacky enough to say that.

Bridget: I said I was sorry.

Ridge: Yeah, well, that's not cuttin' it. You're just gonna have to be punished.

Bridget: Excuse me? What are you talking about?

Ridge: Punished. You know what I mean. Punished.

Bridget: What? No, no, no. Wait a second, how old are you? Don't -- ow! Ow!

Ridge: Ooh.

Bridget: God, okay. You got your revenge.

Ridge: Not yet, I didn't.

Bridget: No, no, no, you don't! Just gimme that! Just gimme.

Ridge: You come and get it.

Bridget: No!

Ridge: Can't get it. Come on.

[ Bridget laughing ]

Bridget: Let me down! Let me down!

Ridge: You want what?

Bridget: Let me down now!

Ridge: You want down -- now?

Bridget: I mean it, I mean it. I gonna kick your butt. I gonna kick your butt.

Ridge: Oh, you're gonna kick my butt? You're gonna kick my butt? Just say uncle!

Bridget: Ow, no!

Ridge: Say uncle!

Bridget: No!

Ridge: Say uncle!

Bridget: Uncle! Uncle.

Ridge: Say it again.

Bridget: Okay.

Ridge: Say it again.

Bridget: Uncle. Uncle! Let go, you big jerk. God, I cannot believe I am related to you.

Ridge: "I cannot believe I'm related to you. I can't believe it." You love it.

Bridget: Oh, yeah. Yeah, I do. You know what, I do. I do love it. I actually love it!

Ridge: Oh, okay. Okay. Okay. Come on, come on.

Bridget: Yeah?

Ridge: Come on, come on.

Bridget: Are you scared?! No, you're so scared.

Ridge: Come on, come on. Come on! Come on!

[ Bells tolling ]

***************************************************************

Adam: I'm right, aren't I? That's what you're afraid of. Macy's feelings for Thorne. Lorenzo, she knows he's poison to her. My God, how could she not? Everything that's happened to her is because of him. Everything she has now is because of you. You can't possibly think that Thorne --

Lorenzo: She can't move on. She's trapped in the past.

Adam: She's cut off from the past. That's part of the problem. How can she move forward when all she can think of is what her Mother's going through? How can she give herself permission to be happy, start a new life with you, when she's consumed with Sally's pain? She can't! But we have the opportunity to set her free.

Lorenzo: It's too risky.

Adam: Lorenzo, Macy needs this. If you love her --

Lorenzo: If I love her, I protect her. It's obvious. You made up your mind. But I want no part in this. Mark my words, you're opening the door to disaster.

Adam: Hang in there, red. We're on our way.

****************************************************************

Brooke: I'm not worried about a future with Ridge.

Massimo: You're that sure of yourself, hmm?

Brooke: No, I'm not even thinking about it. I'm just helping Ridge get through a very tough time.

Massimo: I see. I mean, you've never pictured yourself living in his home, caring for his children?

Brooke: Of course not.

Massimo: I wish I could say the same. But I have, Brooke, and let me tell you something, it turns my stomach.

Brooke: What does it matter to you? What business is it of yours?

Massimo: Ridge has become very important to me, and so has his children.

Brooke: Well, they're very important to me, too, and I've known them a Hell of a lot longer than you have.

Massimo: Given half the chance, you would love them as your own. Is that it?

Brooke: Yes.

Massimo: Hardly reassuring, considering what you did to Bridget. Oh, yes. I know all about it.

Brooke: What are you talking about?

Massimo: Your illicit affair with your son-in-law, of course, which produced that poor child. Ah-ah-ah, now you're wondering just how much trouble you're in, and whether or not I am going to reveal to Ridge your dirty little secret. And I think we both know how absolutely disgusted he would be and how far and how fast he would run. Fortunately for you, I have grown fond of your daughter. And I have no intention of traumatizing her any more than you have already done. So, you're off the hook -- for now.

Brooke: What do you mean, "for now"?

Massimo: The truth will come out. Oh, I'm not talking about deacon or the child. I'm talking about you, Brooke, and the serious deficiencies in your character. Which I am sure that you will reveal in your own time, in your own way, so be proud of yourself. You can make him smile. And I'm sure it's true, since your powers of titillation are renown. But tell me something, do you honestly believe that's enough to sustain a man like Ridge? To hold his interest? Maybe for a woman like you, yes. I mean, after all, what else do you have to offer? Integrity, fidelity, high moral standards, maternal instincts? Oh, the man was married to Taylor. A woman so far superior to you in every respect, to make even some kind of comparison would be cruel if you were not just throwing yourself and thrusting yourself in her place.

Brooke: I am not trying to take her place!

Massimo: Of course you are! In one of the saddest displays of indecency and hubris that I've ever had the misfortune to witness. But you know what's sadder,

Brooke? Let me tell you. The day is going to arrive when you finally realize that it was all fruitless. That a woman like you never had a chance.

Brooke: Get out.

Massimo: Oh, please, spare me your humiliation. Hang on to what shred of dignity you have left.

Brooke: Get out. Did you hear me? I said, get out of my room! Get out right now! Get out!

Ridge: Logan, what's going on?

Massimo: We are having a little discussion here.

Ridge: Yeah, I can imagine. Who the Hell do you think you are, Massimo?

Massimo: I'm your -- your friend.

Ridge: Just get out, will you? Get out now! Leave! Hey.

*******************************************************************

Sally: What are you doing here?

Clarke: What's it look like? I'm serving you dinner. Come on. Have a seat, my dear.

Sally: Why, thank you. I -- I don't know if I'll be very good company.

Clarke: Don't worry, I'm not here to be entertained. I just want to make sure that you know you are not alone. You're wrong, you know? It's not hopeless. Things are gonna get better, I guarantee it.

*******************************************************************

Adam: Hi, honey.

Macy: Dad. Well, what happened? With the -- with the man, asking questions?

Adam: That was a false alarm.

Macy: Oh, thank God. Where's -- where's Lorenzo?

Adam: He went out.

Macy: Out?

Adam: We had an argument.

Macy: What about?

Adam: I told him I wanted to take you to see your Mother.

Macy: Dad -- that's impossible.

Adam: That's what he said.

Macy: And he's right. Going back to L.A. would mean leaving you and Lorenzo forever. Because I couldn't come back here without leading those men right to you. This is my life now. I'm not Macy Alexander anymore. And I've -- I have accepted that.

Adam: But you miss your Mother.

Macy: I know what this is doing to her. Thinking that I died in that explosion. She's so alone, terrified. I just wish to God there was some way of letting her know that I'm all right.

Adam: There is.

Macy: Dad, she would be on the first plane out here.

Adam: She's already here.

Macy: What?

Adam: Yeah, she's in Portofino. Some damned fashion show or something -- yeah. She's here.

Macy: Mom?

Adam: Sally's here.

Macy: Mom is here?

Adam: Just a few minutes away. And I'm gonna take you to her. Macy, I'm gonna take you to see your Mother. Tonight.

[ Macy laughing ]

Macy: Oh, my God. Oh.
