Massimo: I cannot believe that that -- Brooke came to the funeral.
Stephanie: She just wanted to pay her respects.
Massimo: She was hanging on Ridge's arm.
Stephanie: All right. Bad judgment, I grant you that.
Massimo: Bad judgment? What are you, wearing blinders? Brooke Logan is after our son!
Stephanie: Oh, mass. For god's sakes. Do you want -- do you want someone to hear you?
Massimo: What do I care?
Stephanie: What do you care? He's just lost his wife. Do you want him to lose his father, too?
Massimo: I am his father.
Stephanie: I know that, but he doesn't know it. He only knows Eric as his father. For god -- Mass, I know you want to be there for him. I understand that, I really do. You're working with him. You're with him every day. Work is the most important thing to him. And he turns to it every time he's ever in a crisis.
Massimo: Right, that -- and Brooke.
Stephanie: Oh.
Massimo: You had better keep an eye on her. Now, I know that you want to believe that she has changed, but as far as I'm concerned, she is still the same unscrupulous viper she's ever been. She's like a shark who has tasted blood. Look, Ridge is vulnerable right now. He's hurting, Stephanie. And it's up to us to protect our son. Don't let him down!
Stephanie: I have never let him down. I -- I've got a board meeting I have to go to. Good-bye.

Brooke: Thank you all for being here. We some very important decisions to make today.
Kristen: Well, Brooke, depending on how important these decisions are, I mean, don't you think we could just put them off? I don't think any of us have our minds on business right now.
Brooke: No, of course not. We're all thinking about ridge and his children and everything they're going through. And as it should be. This family pulls together in a crisis. And that is why I called this meeting today. We need to think about what really matters. Not about just making this company stronger, but about making the family stronger. And how are we going to do that? How do we eliminate the competition and the rivalries? How do we focus on coming together? Well, I think the obvious place to start would be to bring Ridge back here where he belongs, to Forrester Creations.

C.J.: Howdy, stranger.
Bridget: Hi.
C.J.: Oh, I thought you gave up coffee.
Bridget: I did. I'm cheating. I have to find some way to get through this day.
C.J.: I guess so. You were out pretty late last night.
Bridget: Were you keeping an eye on me?
C.J.: Now, how could I possibly do that when you're never around anymore?
Bridget: I stayed over at Ridge's.
C.J.: Oh.
Bridget: I didn't plan on it, but he's having such a hard time.
C.J.: Well, that was really nice of you.
Bridget: Well, I wanted to do something. He's in so much pain, C.J. And, you know, it shouldn't even be over there. It should be Stephanie or my mother.
C.J.: Your mom?
Bridget: Yeah, well, she knows ridge better than anyone. What?
C.J.: Look -- trust me, Bridget. The last thing that Ridge needs right now is somebody putting the moves on him.
Ridge: Rest of my life without you, doc. What the hell do I do now, hmm?
[ Sound of motorcycle ]
Tricia: Hi.
Ridge: Hey. Nice bike.
Ridge: Yours?
Tricia: Well, what do you think?
Ridge: You rode that all the way out here from New York?
Tricia: No, I had it trucked in.
Ridge: Mm. Planning on staying here for a while?
Tricia: As long as it takes. Kids at school?
Ridge: Yeah.
Tricia: It must be very strange to be here alone.
Ridge: I'm thinking of moving.
Tricia: Oh. Well, if the reminders are too painful, it can be a positive step. You want to involve your kids in your decision, though. I usually don't recommend making any drastic changes, at least for the first few months. You know, you might want to vary your routine somewhat, so that her absence won't be quite so glaring. Have dinner in a different spot. Buy a new bed, move it to a different part of the room.
Ridge: Who can sleep?
Tricia: Well, what about the kids? Are they having trouble sleeping?
Ridge: Thomas had a hard time of it last night. Then Bridget showed up, and that seemed to make it a little better.
Tricia: Bridget?
Ridge: My half-sister. Brooke's daughter. You met her the other day.
Tricia: Right. Well, that's good if they have someone like that they can open up to. Who's close to them, but not directly connected to the loss. They won't be afraid they'll hurt her by talking about it.
Ridge: They're afraid of that with me?
Tricia: They know you're going through a lot of pain.
Ridge: Yeah, well, I'm trying to be strong for them.
Tricia: What, by hiding your feelings? Is that what you want them to do, Ridge? Because they're gonna follow your lead.
Ridge: I'm just not prepared for this. That's all there is to it.
Tricia: No one is. But you are also not alone.
***************************************************************************************
Thorne: You're serious? You want Ridge back at Forrester.
Brooke: He's going to need us, Thorne. Now, I'm sure you know how much I owe Taylor -- my life. And there's no way that I can ever repay that debt. But at least I can do everything in my power to help Ridge get through this ordeal. And I think the best way to do that is to have him come back to this family, to this company. This is his home.
Eric: I absolutely agree. And I thank you.
Kristen: I agree also, but -- you know, it is not gonna be easy to get ridge back. You know, he has got a contract with Marone, he's heavily invested at Spectra --
Brooke: I don't think that's going to matter. I'm sure Ridge will agree with us. This family should not be divided.
Rick: Mom, I understand where you're coming from. And you're right, we do need to be there for Ridge. But we need to think about just how we're going to be there for him. We can't lose sight of the fact that we have a business to run here, and you and Ridge have very, very different ideas on how that should be done.
Brooke: We will work through that.
Rick: We couldn't before.
Thorne: That's because people lost sight of what was important, Rick.
Brooke: Listen, I know that our lives have changed because of what's happened. And Thorne is right. We have to open our eyes and look at what is really important. Now, a few months ago, our lives went in all different directions. We had our own goals, we had our own ambitions, our own visions on what the outcome should be. And I'm telling you, we need to come together with one thing in mind -- reconciliation. How we're going to do that, I really don't know. But we're a very creative group of people here, and I'm sure we can solve that problem. Now, I'm open to any suggestions you may have. I know I have some myself. But the bottom line is, I want Ridge back.

Bridget: C.J. My mother is not gonna be putting the moves on Ridge, okay?
C.J.: Okay.
Bridget: She's not! She feels terrible for him.
C.J.: Well, it's just a little weird to hear you sticking up for her. That's all.
Bridget: You know, I know I said I never would do that again. But everybody is just being so harsh.
C.J.: C'mon, Bridget. I mean, we know your mother's history. Do you really, honestly think that she's changed that much? Okay, look. The only point that I'm trying to make is that she is not what Ridge needs right now. That's all.
Bridget: Well, he definitely needs someone.
C.J.: But he does have somebody. He has you.
Bridget: I'm no help.
C.J.: Oh, yes you are. You may not know it right now, but you are a big help. You are taking care of business, you're looking after his children, and the most important thing is, you are allowing Ridge the time he needs, and the space, to just feel like hell. 'Cause, I'll tell you what, Bridget. Sooner or later, everybody around him's gonna start saying, "you need to cheer up, Ridge. Taylor wouldn't want you to do this to yourself." But the reality of the situation is, is that they're the ones that can't handle it anymore. And when that time does come, somebody like you, somebody who's just hanging back, being there for him, allowing him to feel whatever it is that he needs to feel -- Bridget, I'm telling you that what you are giving Ridge is priceless.
Bridget: I just keep forgetting you've been through this before. Twice, with Becky and Mmacy. C.J., Maybe you should be the one to talk to him.
C.J.: No, no. Bridget, look, take it from somebody who's been there. The best person for Ridge right now is you. Nobody's been better for me.
Bridget: Thank you.
C.J.: Thank you.

Stephanie: I'm sorry, did I miss something?
Eric: Yes, you did. Brooke tells us that she's had a change of heart. That she wants Ridge back here at Forrester.
Stephanie: Oh, at Forrester. Oh, I see.
Brooke: It's something I feel very strongly about, and I'd like us all to work together to make that happen.
Stephanie: Well, he already has a job, and a very good job, I might add.
Brooke: Well, we can offer him more than Sally can.
Stephanie: And what exactly were you prepared to offer?
Brooke: Everything's on the table.
Rick: Mom, everything?
Brooke: Honey, look. We'll talk about that later. I don't want to bog everybody down with the details. I just want to know that we're all on the same page, and excited about reuniting this family, and getting back to our strengths.
Kristen: Well, I think it would be great, Brooke, if you could really make it happen. It'd mean a lot to us.
Brooke: To me, too. This has been the most painful year for this family, and I would really like to be a part of the healing. So, if you can all go and think about what I said today, and come back with some input, I would really appreciate it.
Rick: Come on.
Eric: I think you must have some idea of how much this means to me.
Brooke: Yes, I do. It's a big part of why I'm doing it.
Eric: You coming?
Stephanie: In a minute. You're amazing.
Brooke: Thank you.
Stephanie: That was not a compliment. Do you really think that you can get away with this? Because if that's what you think, I'm telling you right here and now. You're not going to.
*******************************************************************************************
Tricia: It's okay to be unsure about what you're doing. It's all new to you. You don't have to be so hard on yourself.
Ridge: But I do.
Tricia: Why?
Ridge: Because she's depending on me.
Tricia: Taylor.
Ridge: Those kids were her world. And if I let them down, then --
Tricia: You won't.
Ridge: How can you be sure of that, huh?
Tricia: You're an excellent father.
Ridge: How the hell do you know that?
Tricia: Taylor told me. Yeah. She talked about it all the time, how lucky the children were. How lucky she was. You made her so happy, Ridge. And wherever she is, I know that Taylor trusts you to do the right thing for those kids. Everything -- everything is gonna be okay.
*****************************************************************************************
Brooke: I don't understand. You don't want Ridge back here in the company?
Stephanie: That's what this is about? The company?
Brooke: Stephanie, you don't think I'm making a play on ridge? I mean, that is ridiculous!
Stephanie: Now, who do you think you're kidding? I have watched you, for years, make a play for every male member of this family. And it's always when they are at their most vulnerable moment. You appear with your little peep show.
Brooke: Oh, my god! I have never taken advantage of anybody! And even if you thought so in the past, I certainly can't believe you would think that now!
Stephanie: Why? What's changed?
Brooke: I've changed! I thought that you noticed that!
Stephanie: Well, I did want to believe that you were making a sincere effort, yes.
Brooke: It's not about just "making an effort," Stephanie. I've changed everything about my life, and how I make decisions. You don't believe me.
Stephanie: Not after what I just heard.
Brooke: What about what you haven't heard? What about what you haven't seen? These last few months have been the loneliest months of my life! I've been very lonely, and very insecure, and it would have been very easy for me to just go off with some man to feel better, and have that comfort, and that reassurance. I mean, god knows, Ii had many chances.
Stephanie: I'm going to give you some advice. Stay away from my son.
Brooke: He is my oldest and dearest friend.
Stephanie: Fine, then be his friend. But just his friend. Don't use this, or see this as an opportunity for yourself.
Brooke: I'm not! It never even crossed my mind!
Stephanie: Oh, please -- I know you better than you know yourself. And I can see right where this is headed. I can see exactly what's going to happen. Now, I'm telling you, you don't want to support Ridge. You just want him, period. So listen to me when I say this. Stay away from Ridge!
