Sheila: Put it down. Put the phone down. You know, it didn't have to be this way, Eric. All I wanted was a better life for my daughter. God, that's not too much to ask for, is it? Is it?!
*********************************************************************************
Ridge: You suspected Erica from the very beginning.
Amber: Well, I didn't know she was Sheila's daughter, but I knew she was after my husband.
Ridge: But I didn't believe you. I didn't believe you and I'm so sorry, Amber.
Amber: Thank you, Ridge. That means a lot to me. But you don't have to apologize to me. I just want you to go home, and give your wife and your kids a big squeeze and be thankful nobody got hurt tonight. That's what I'm going to do.
Stephanie: I think that is an excellent idea.
Ridge: Okay, Mother, I'll give you a ride home.
Stephanie: You gonna be all right?
Rick: We're going to be just fine.
Amber: Bye.
Ridge: Bye-bye.
***********************************************************************************
Megan: Stephanie warned me I was gonna get addicted to this little girl.
Brooke: So you just stopped by to see Hope?
Megan: Well, I was on this side of town. And I thought I could drop in and see her while I rode out the storm.
Brooke: I thought you were checking up on me.
Megan: Why should I? You told me there's nothing going on with you and Eric.
Brooke: There's not.
Megan: Brooke, I -- I know how much it would mean to you to put your family back together.
Brooke: Eric is a wonderful man. And I respect him very much. I always have. But now, luckily for both of us, I also respect myself.
Megan: No more married men.
Brooke: Eric will always be a good friend.
Megan: But he's not your Mr. Right.
Brooke: I'm not so sure there is a Mr. Right. And even if there was, finding him is definitely not my top priority.
Megan: I'm so glad to hear you say that. I mean, you're fine on your own.
Brooke: Well, eventually, I'd like hope to have a daddy. But for now, I have everything I need -- and so does she. You do, don't you? Yes, you do. Yes, you do. My precious.
**********************************************************************************************
Sheila: You have no idea how difficult it's been all these years, Eric, raising a daughter on my own. I mean, anonymous jobs, living in flea-infested apartments. You know, Erica deserved a lot better than that, but no, I had to stay in hiding. Because of your family, your wife and your trashy daughter-in --
Eric: Taylor! Go, go!
Sheila: Stop! Don't you dare move! I'll shoot him. I swear I'll do it. Nobody move. Don't even breathe.
***************************************************************************************
Amber: I still can't believe Erica is Sheila's daughter.
Rick: You kept telling me that I couldn't trust her. I should have listened to you.
Amber: You didn't have any reason to.
Rick: Amber, you didn't do anything wrong. Sheila set you up.
Amber: They both did. It was so creepy. I mean, the way Sheila was talking to Erica. She was actually proud of her for trying to seduce you. And on the phone, she was encouraging her. And she was telling Erica that if she could get pregnant with your child, then they could replace me --
Rick: No, hey -- nobody could replace you.
Amber: You weren't going to sleep with her, were you?
Rick: No.
Amber: Even after you thought that I'd abandoned you and gone off on some bender?
Rick: I didn't know what to think, Amber. I mean, the stuff that Lieutenant Baker was saying, it didn't make any sense.
Amber: But you believed it?
Rick: I'm sorry.
Amber: It's okay.
Rick: No, Amber, it's not. Sheila kidnapped you. You were fighting for your life. And I was just --
Amber: You were faithful to me. In spite of everything, you never gave up on our marriage.
Rick: But you were the one fighting for it.
Amber: 'Cause it's all I had left. I mean, Erica had my family, my home, my whole life. But I was still your wife, and as long as there was a breath left in my body, nothing was going to change that.
Rick: You must have been so afraid.
Amber: I was terrified. But every time that I thought I was going to lose it, I'd just closed my eyes and think about you. It's over. It's over.
Rick: Baby, it is.
***********************************************************************************
Taylor: Sheila, think about what you're doing.
Sheila: Get over there! Get over there!
Taylor: I -- I just want to talk to you.
Sheila: You know what? Just spare me the psycho-crap, Taylor. I was married to a shrink. And you're all nothing but a bunch of back-stabbing liars.
Taylor: I don't want to talk to you as a psychiatrist. I want to talk to you as a mother.
Sheila: You know what? If you were so worried about your children, you should have stayed home tonight.
Taylor: I'm not worried about my children. I'm worried about yours.
Sheila: You leave Erica out of this!
Taylor: I wish I could. I wish I could spare her all the humiliation everything is going to cause her. But I can't. You are the only one who can do that.
Sheila: Well, I tried. I took her away from here. I took her away from you all of you people.
Eric: Sheila, we never did anything to harm your daughter.
Taylor: Erica can still have a wonderful future. She hasn't done anything wrong. She can go on from here and live a normal life -- if you let her.
Sheila: I want her to be happy. Don't you understand any of that! I'm not -- I'm not crazy! I'm not violent! I was just protecting my daughter. I was protecting her future. But, no, you -- you and Amber -- no, you had to make it ugly. Everything would have been fine. Everything would have been just fine, if you would have just kept your nose out of it. But you didn't. Oh, god, look at me now. Look at -- look at us. What am I supposed to do now, huh? What am I supposed to do now?
****************************************************************************************
Brooke: You sure you want to go back out there? It looks pretty wet.
Megan: Oh, gosh, I don't want to keep you up.
Brooke: You're not. I have to pack Hope's lunch anyway.
Megan: Her lunch? My gosh, you can't be weaning her already?
Brooke: No, I have a sales meeting tomorrow and the daycare nurse is going to feed her. Which reminds me, I left the bottle over at the main house. So, would you mind watching her for a second?
Megan: Oh, gosh, I'd love to. Yeah. Just make sure you don't run into Eric again.
Brooke: Oh, no, I'll make sure I sneak in through the kitchen.
Megan: Good idea.
Brook: Okay, sweetie. And you, I want you to go to sleep, okay? Be a good little angel and don't let the bed bugs bite. I love you so much. Thanks.
Megan: Uh-huh.
**************************************************************************************
Ridge: They are? Even Thomas? Great. Thanks, Catherine. Look, I'm gonna drop mother off, and then I'm coming straight home. If you talk to Taylor, will you have her call my on the cell? All right, thanks.
Stephanie: Why don't you go ahead and call her on her car?
Ridge: No, I've got to make this apology in person.
Stephanie: You're a very lucky man you're not married to one of those women that always says "I told you so."
Ridge: Well, maybe you don't hear that, but I'm going to get an earful. And I sure deserve it. Taylor kept telling me that I didn't know the whole story.
Stephanie: Honey, I know Amber better than anyone, and I didn't believe her when she went on and on about Erica. I mean, it just didn't make sense, so --
Ridge: Until you add Sheila into the mix, huh?
Stephanie: What is it?
Ridge: Oh, nothing. I just want to put this whole ordeal behind me and get home to my wife. You must be pretty anxious to see dad, too.
Stephanie: Well, I never even called him. I mean, everything happened so fast.
Ridge: Dad doesn't know what happened?
Stephanie: No. He doesn't even know that Sheila was in Los Angeles.
*********************************************************************************
Eric: Sheila, think about what you're doing.
Taylor: Think about your daughter. She's a lovely young woman. You made a lot of sacrifices for her. I know you did. And it was all worth it, because you gave her everything she needs to succeed in this life. But if you pull that trigger, Sheila, it'll all be gone. You'll ruin both of your lives. And Erica will lose the one person who has there for her all these years. She'll be alone. Is that what you want?
**********************************************************************************
Amber: I don't want to wake him up.
Rick: Amber, he'll want to see you.
Amber: Really?
Rick: Yeah. He missed you. We both missed you.
Rick: Well? Come on, wake him up. I know you can't wait.
Amber: Eric. Wake up.
Rick: Hey, look who it is, buddy.
Little Eric: Mommy?
Amber: Yeah! It's me, come here. Oh, come here. Oh, I'm home, baby. Oh, I'm home.
Little Eric: Mommy.
Amber: Yes, you're mommy's home. I love you so much. Oh, I love you so much. I love you both so much.
Rick: I love you, too.
Amber: Oh, mommy's home now, baby. And I promise you, I will never leave you again, okay? Never.
***************************************************************************************
Ridge: Lieutenant Baker would have called if they'd found Sheila, right?
Stephanie: I would imagine so.
Ridge: So Sheila could still be in town.
Stephanie: Well, they've got a description of the car, honey. If she's driving around, they're gonna pick her up.
Ridge: You don't think that -- she's so crazy. She doesn't want to get caught. You don't think after all this there's a possibility she'd go to see dad.
*************************************************************************************
Taylor: Your daughter loves you, Sheila. She needs you.
Sheila: She's gonna lose me anyway. I can't stay here.
Taylor: But she can. She's already started her life here. Maybe she could get to know her father. There's still so many things she could do in L.A. But she won't get a chance if you don't put down the gun. If you harm either one of us, it would haunt her the rest of her life. Nobody would want her here. She'd have to run away and leave town, just like you did.
Sheila: Shut up!
Eric: No, no, Sheila listen. Listen to Taylor. She's trying to help you.
Sheila: She's lying! You're both just lying! You -- you don't want Erica to have Rick. Well, our lives are ruined whether -- whether I put this gun down or not.
Taylor: No, no -- no, there's still a chance. There's still a chance to turn the whole thing around. Okay? Make the right choice for yourself and your daughter. Please, give me the gun. Please, let me help you.
[ Gunshot ]
Eric: Brooke? Brooke? Are you all right? Brooke?
[ Brooke moans ]
Eric: Brooke, say something. Say something!
Brooke: Taylor.
Eric: Oh, my god, no!
Eric: Taylor? Taylor? Taylor? Taylor, are you all right? Taylor, talk to me. Taylor! Are you -- Taylor -- oh, god.
Brooke: Taylor!
Eric: Oh, god. Oh, god, help us.
