Amber: Erica, are you all right? Can you hear me? Oh, god. Oh, god! I'm gonna call the paramedics.

*****************************************************************

Bridget: Hey, Lester, can I have an espresso please? Actually, make it a double.

C.J.: So, what's the matter? You have too much fun on your afternoon off?

Bridget: Fun? Yeah. Maybe if I was a shrink like Taylor. She loves dealing with people's problems.

C.J.: What, are you kidding me? I thought you loved getting into other people's problems.

Bridget: You know, C.J., Believe it or not, I used to have a life of my own. At least, I thought I did. I was supposed to spend this summer on tour modeling. I could be in Hawaii right now, riding a scooter along the beach, surfing, getting some sun.

[ Bridget sighs ] my mom and I took a trip like that once, a long time ago.

C.J.: Look, Bridget, if you're fishing for some time off here, I'm really sorry, but I can't. I need you here --

Bridget: No, no, no, no, no. C.J., Forget it. Forget it. It's just been a bad day. Look, it's nothing against you or the job. This summer is just not what I thought it would be.

*************************************************************************

Sheila: Thank you.

Massimo: A margarita. How festive.

Sheila: Best cure for a bad day.

Massimo: Better than sharing a bottle of wine with me?

Sheila: Well, I didn't know you were gonna be here.

Massimo: But you were hoping.

Sheila: I thought getting out of the house might improve my mood.

Massimo: I didn't think this was your usual kind of hangout.

Sheila: But you were hoping?

Massimo: Well, since we are here, I think we should take advantage of this happy coincidence. May I join you?

Sheila: I wish you would.

Massimo: Thank you. SeŅor, I will have a margarita on the rocks. Stirred. Please, no salt.

Sheila: Ah. Curing your own bad day?

Massimo: Well, if the truth were known, I've had a rather difficult week. But the forecast is improving now.

Sheila: I thought you'd be on your trip, that you might be halfway around the world by now.

Massimo: Oh, the cruise. No, no, no. That's been put off for now.

Sheila: And apparently, so have you. You know, if I recall correctly, the last time I spoke to you, you were going to offer this fantasy vacation to everyone in the bar. That got me thinking. Either he's a very generous man, or he's already offered it to someone and she turned him down.

Massimo: As I recall, I offered it to you.

[ Sheila chuckles ]

Sheila: No, no. Before me. You must have had someone in mind. I'm guessing -- someone very attractive, a sophisticated younger woman.

Massimo: We're still talking about you.

Sheila: You are a charmer, aren't you? I don't see how anyone could turn you down.

Massimo: How do you know anyone did?

Sheila: Because I don't think you're the kind of man to travel alone. And judging by your attitude, I'd say you're not the kind of man that is used to accepting "no."

Massimo: Well, as I just said to you, on that score, I've had a difficult week.

Sheila: Well, you never know. Your luck could change.

*************************************************************************

Amber: Yes. Yes, Forrester Creations. Rick Forrester's office. No, no, no. I haven't -- I haven't moved her yet. But you have to hurry, please, because she's bleeding a lot and I just can't wake her up, okay? Okay. Okay, Erica? Erica, they're coming. They're coming. They're on their way right now. So stay with me, okay? Just stay with me because you're gonna be okay.

Rick: Oh, my god! What happened? What have you done?

********************************************************************

Massimo: Thank you. Mm-hmm. I think this tequila will be much more to your liking.

Sheila: And I think you're changing the subject again.

Massimo: Oh, I'm sorry. What was I saying?

Sheila: Not much. Which makes me wonder -- why are you being so secretive about this mysterious traveling companion?

Massimo: Oh, let's just say that I don't like to dwell on disappointment.

Sheila: Oh, don't get mad, get even?

[ Massimo laughs ]

Massimo: Do I strike you as a vindictive personality?

Sheila: Oh! Oh, but we've just met. I mean, this is a chance encounter after all, isn't it?

Massimo: I don't think you leave anything to chance.

Sheila: Oh? And do I strike you as a manipulative personality?

Massimo: Hmm-mm. Forceful. It's there in the eyes. You can be a dangerous woman if you want to be.

Sheila: If I need to be.

Massimo: Yes. Fiercely protective of your daughter and your privacy.

Sheila: Well, we wouldn't want to lose that air of mystery now, would we?

Massimo: I have a feeling there's more to it than that. But I'm not going to pry. I wouldn't want to be at the wrong end of your .22, would I?

Sheila: How -- how did --

Massimo: Your purse is too small for anything larger. And you don't strike me as a woman who would allow herself to be vulnerable to attack.

Sheila: Well, you don't have to worry about my .22. Because like most dangerous women, my most powerful weapon is right here.

**************************************************************************

Doctor: What have we got?

Medic #1: Female, late teens. Blunt force trauma to the side of the skull. Superficial laceration above the right ear.

Medic #2: Pulse and respiration are normal, but she's still unresponsive.

Doctor: What's her name?

Rick: Erica. Erica Lovejoy.

Doctor: Erica, can you hear me? My name is Dr. Paxson, Erica. Erica? How long has she been unconscious?

Amber: 10, maybe 15 minutes.

Rick: But she started groaning when the paramedics put her on the board.

Doctor: Who are you?

Rick: My name is Rick Forrester. She works for me. She's my son's nanny.

Amber: This was an accident.

Doctor: What happened?

Amber: She fell and she hit her head on the desk and --

[ Erica moans ]

Rick: Erica? Erica, it's Rick. Are you okay?

Erica: Where am I?

Doctor: You're in the hospital. Just relax. Don't move.

Erica: My head.

Doctor: Do you remember what happened?

Erica: Amber. She said I killed him. I didn't do it.

Doctor: Erica, do you know what day it is?

Erica: I didn't even know him. I didn't even know him.

Rick: Erica, it's Rick. Can you hear me?

Erica: Rick? Rick?

Rick: I'm right here, Erica. I'm right here, okay? Everything is gonna be fine.

Doctor: Okay, we have to get her upstairs for an x-ray and a head ct.

Rick: Why? What's wrong?

Doctor: She may have a concussion. We won't know anything until the tests are back.

Rick: Well, can I go up there with her?

Doctor: Yes. Upstairs, fifth floor, radiology.

Amber: I didn't mean for this to happen.

*************************************************************************************

Darla: Hey, ceej. What's going on?

C.J.: No. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Forget the poi thing. Okay? Just give me the smoked ham and pineapples. Right. And the dessert. Okay, and that includes everything -- the food, music and the leis. Right, with real flowers. Okay. Sounds great. Thanks a lot. Bye.

Darla: Sounds like you're planning a luau.

C.J.: I am.

Darla: Very cool. Hey, you know something. I have got this amazing little seashell top. I got it to go with this blue sarong -- kind of that mermaid thing going on. And now that I think about it, a grass skirt might be really appropriate.

C.J.: Well, it might. But unfortunately, it's a private party.

Darla: For who?

C.J.: Bridget.

Darla: I don't think Bridget would mind if you invited me.

C.J: Uh, it's a luau for two.

Darla: Ooh. I see. So what brought this on?

C.J: Well, we were talking earlier and -- I don't know, she seemed really bummed out. I mean, I don't know what happened. Maybe she got into it with her mom again or something, but anyway, we were talking about how she's supposed to be on tour with the ambrosia line this summer. And this week, she would have been in Hawaii, so --

Darla: That's really sweet, Ceej.

C.J.: You sure you don't think it's stupid?

Darla: No, no, no. I think it's really thoughtful.

C.J.: Well, I mean, she's been doing all this great stuff for me -- I mean, the party, putting up with my attitude.

Darla: Mm-hmm.

C.J.: So I just figured I'd do something nice for her.

Darla: Well, I think she'll love it.

C.J.: Yeah. And I think Ccott's going to love it, too.

Darla: Scott?

C.J.: Yeah, Ccott. My buddy from business school. He's come over to the house a couple times.

Darla: Yeah?

C.J.: Well, he's a great guy, and I really think he and Bridget are gonna hit it off.

*************************************************************************

Rick: Hey.

Erica: Hi.

Rick: How are you feeling?

Erica: Like i got hit by a truck.

Rick: You've been pretty out of it. Do you remember what happened?

Erica: Yeah. Um, Amber and I were arguing.

Rick: And then you hit your head on the desk. The doctor thinks that you might have a mild concussion.

Erica: Am I okay?

Rick: Yes, yes. You're gonna be fine. They're gonna keep you here tonight for observation. And that's just a precaution, though.

Erica: Where's Amber?

Rick: She's -- she's out there. You don't have to worry about her anymore. Now, I left a message for your mother. She wasn't home. Is there any other number that I could reach her at?

Erica: Uh, yeah. She has an, um, a cell phone.

Rick: Well, give me that number and I'll call her, okay?

***********************************************************************

Sheila: So you're attracted to dangerous women?

Massimo: Like most people, I'm tempted by what's not good for me.

[ Sheila laughs ]

[ cell phone rings ]

Sheila: Excuse me.

Massimo: Mm-hmm. That's odd.

Massimo: What?

Sheila: Well, it -- it has to be my daughter. I just don't recognize the number, though. Hello?

Erica: Mom.

Sheila: Erica? Um, honey, I'm -- I'm in the middle of a date. Can I call you back?

Erica: I'm at cedars.

Sheila: You're where?

Erica: I'm in the hospital.

Sheila: You're at -- you're at the hospital? Are you all right?

Erica: I hit my head. I -- I have to stay here overnight.

Sheila: Honey, what happened?

Erica: It was just an accident. Amber and I were arguing --

Sheila: And she did this? She hurt you?

Erica: Look, Mom, I really can't talk now. I'm really tired, okay? Can you -- can you just come down? Mom?

**************************************************************************

Massimo: Is something wrong?

Sheila: My daughter had an accident. I have to go.

Massimo: Well, if you'd like, my driver can take you.

Sheila: No. No, thank you. I'll be fine.

Massimo: When will I see you again?

Sheila: Just look for me here.

Massimo: When?

Sheila: Would you give me a few days? I'll have everything taken care of by then.

Massimo: Okay.

********************************************************************************

Rick: Is your mom coming?

Erica: I don't know.

Rick: Look, I'm gonna go outside for a minute. Are you all right by yourself?

Erica: You're not leaving?

Rick: No. No, don't worry. I'll be right back, okay?

**********************************************************************************

Darla: You're planning this dinner for Bridget and some other guy?

C.J.: Uh, yeah. What's the problem?

Darla: Well, don't you think she just might want to be alone with you?

C.J.: What are you talking about, Darla?

Darla: Ceej, are you gonna keep pretending that there's nothing going on between you guys?

C.J.: There isn't.

Darla: Oh, god, she'd be thrilled to go out with you.

C.J.: Look, Bridget has enough problems right now, okay?

Darla: Honey, she doesn't think of you as a problem.

C.J.: Well, she would if we ever went out. Look, I'm just -- I'm not ready. I wouldn't be very good at a relationship right now. And besides, Darla, you're wrong. Bridget doesn't like me like that.

Darla: Sweetie, why are you hiding from this?

C.J.: From what?

Darla: Your feelings.

C.J.: Okay, Dr. Phil.

Darla: You -- you are in complete denial over this.

C.J.: I'm just trying to do something nice for someone. Why do you have to analyze it to death? She did nice things for me.

Darla: You are falling for this girl, and it is totally freaking you out.

C.J.: Look, Bridget just got divorced, okay? She's obviously having problems with her family, and now -- now she has to spend her entire summer working here when she could have been in Hawaii. She's really bummed out about it, and I just want to do something to cheer her up, like she did for me. She's really bummed out. A little atmosphere, some intelligent conversation, great food -- it sounds like the perfect date to me.

******************************************************************************************

Amber: Rick, please, let me explain.

Rick: You pushed her.

Amber: No. I was trying to leave, and she wouldn't let me go.

Rick: So -- so you threw her into a desk?

Amber: No, she fell. She fell. It was an accident.

Rick: What, are -- are you saying that you didn't touch her?

Amber: I -- I -- I didn't mean to hurt her.

Rick: Oh, okay, I get it. You were just defending yourself, right?

Amber: Yes, yes.

Rick: You knocked her out.

Amber: No, I -- I know that's what it looks like, but it's not what you think.

Rick: You know, do you know how tired I am of hearing that, Amber?

Amber: Well, I'm sorry.

Rick: I'm not the one you should be apologizing to.

Amber: She came after me, okay? I wanted to leave, and she wouldn't let me go. She's trying to tear us apart, Rick. She's trying to break apart our family.

Rick: All right, that's enough, amber!

Amber: No, listen to me.

Rick: No, you listen to me! You go home, you go back to Taylor, and you get some help.

Amber: She's walking away with my husband and my son. How did this happen?
