>> Eric: Bridget? What happened?
>> Bridget: Please, just leave me alone.
>> Eric: It's Deacon, isn't it? What has he done?
>> Bridget: Stop! What do I have to do?!
>> Eric: All right, all right, all right. Look, you don't want to talk to me. I'm -- I'm going to call your mother.
>> Bridget: No, no. Don't you call her! I don't want you to call her! Just leave me alone!
>> Eric: Bridget, honey --
>> Bridget: God, leave me alone!
[ Bridget sobs ]
>> Brooke: Hmm. Bridget's voice mail. Hi, honey. I hope you're having a nice, romantic lunch with your husband, and I just wanted to thank you for the wonderful baby shower and all of your support during this crazy, mixed-up time in my life right now. I want you to know that you are more than just a daughter to me. You are my best friend. And it means so much to me that you and Deacon are going to be a very big part of this baby's life. I do love you. Oh, listen to me. I'm getting all mushy. I'd better go. I'll talk to you later. Bye. Oh.
>> Erica: Sorry.
>> Brooke: No. No, it's okay. I just didn't see you standing there.
>> Erica: It's really nice, the -- the relationship that you have with Bridget.
>> Brooke: There's no one that I'm closer to.
>> Erica: Not even Whip?
>> Brooke: When you have children someday, you'll understand. There's a very unique bond there -- or at least there should be. Oh, I've got two of those, so why don't we leave that one here? I'll exchange it.
>> Erica: Okay. Well, where's the other one?
>> Brooke: I don't know. It's got to be around here somewhere.
>> Erica: Maybe Bridget got it when she came back.
>> Brooke: What?
>> Erica: Oh, here it is.
>> Brooke: Did you just say that Bridget came back?
>> Erica: Uh, yeah, when you were showing Deacon the nursery. You didn't see her?
>> Brooke: No.
>> Erica: She probably just forgot her purse or something.
>> Brooke: Oh, that's a shame. I guess they just missed each other. Deacon came over to take her to a surprise lunch.
>> Erica: I'll bet he caught up with her on the way out. I'm going to take the rest of these upstairs and check on Eric.
>> Brooke: All right. Thank you.
>> Whip: Hello, gorgeous.
>> Brooke: Whip. What are you doing here?
>> Whip: What do you mean, what am I doing here? I missed you.
>> Brooke: It's only been a couple of hours.
>> Whip: It's amazing I stood away that long, huh?
>> Brooke: What are you doing?
>> Whip: Taking my clothes off.
>> Brooke: Why?
>> Whip: Well, let's think about that. What possible reason would I want to have for getting naked with my beautiful wife, huh? I'm going skinny-dipping.
>> Brooke: Skinny-dipping?
>> Whip: Mm-hmm, yeah. You're always telling me to take a cold shower.
>> Brooke: Well, that's true.
>> Whip: So why don't you join me, huh?
>> Brooke: Whip, we can't.
>> Whip: Oh, come on. It would be good for the baby.
[ Brooke laughs ]
>> Brooke: Would you stop?
>> Whip: Give me one good reason.
>> Brooke: We're not alone.
>> Whip: Nice try. Come on, let's go.
>> Erica: What are you doing
up here?
You're supposed to be taking
a nap.
>> Whip: What the hell is that?
>> Eric: Stephanie, good. Thanks for coming.
>> Stephanie: Where is Bridget?
>> Eric: She's over in the guest house. Look, I -- I called you because something's wrong. Something's terribly wrong.
>> Bridget: Deacon and my mother!
>> Eric: Did something bad happen at the shower?
>> Stephanie: No. It was lovely.
>> Eric: That's what Kristen said. It's -- it's Deacon. He's done something to her.
>> Stephanie: Calm down. Just slow --
>> Eric: Stephanie, Bridget is hysterical. I've never seen her like this.
>> Stephanie: What did she say to you?
>> Eric: She wouldn't talk to me. She practically kicked me out of there. But she's furious with somebody, and she's in absolute tears over there. If I get my hands on this guy, I'm telling you, I'm going to kill him.
>> Stephanie: Let me go talk to her.
>> Eric: No. No, that's not a good idea. She wants to be alone. I suggested that I would call Brooke and have her come over, but she practically had a fit.
>> Stephanie: She doesn't want to talk to her mother?
>> Eric: No. No, she was adamant. But I'm going to call her anyway.
>> Stephanie: No, don't do that.
>> Eric: Brooke is her mother. She needs -- she deserves to know what's going on.
>> Stephanie: I understand. But you just finished telling me that she doesn't want to talk to her mother. Now, she's going to trust that you're going to respect that. Let me go over and talk to her. And don't say anything to anyone about this. I will be right back. I'll be right back. Oh, god. If she's found out about Brooke and Deacon -- god help that kid.
>> Whip: Who was that?
>> Brooke: That was Erica on the baby monitor -- a gift from my shower. See?
[ Brooke laughs ]
>> Whip: Ha, ha, ha. You got me.
>> Brooke: Yes, I did.
>> Whip: I guess now isn't the best time to go skinny-dipping. How about a swim?
>> Brooke: You can go.
>> Whip: By myself?
>> Brooke: Since when did you get so needy?
>> Whip: Come on, Brooke. I could be out there all alone, and I could get a cramp.
[ Imitating underwater speaking ] "help, help, Brooke. Help, I'm drowning."
[ Gargling ]
>> Brooke: Okay, okay. I'll go out there and write my "thank you" cards. You happy?
>> Whip: Very.
>> Brooke: But no cannonballs.
>> Whip: You know me so well.
>> Brooke: Yes -- too well.
>> Whip: You're in an awful good mood. Bridget should throw you a shower every day.
>> Brooke: Oh, I think she'd get tired of that.
>> Whip: I doubt it. I bet she had a great time.
>> Brooke: Yeah, she had fun. Watching her today, she was just so happy.
>> Whip: It almost seems worthwhile, doesn't it, being married to an ogre like me?
>> Brooke: I did the right thing.
>> Whip: Yeah, you did. I just hope Deacon realizes that.
>> Brooke: He does.
>> Whip: What makes you so sure?
>> Brooke: We talked.
[ Knock at door ]
>> Stephanie: Bridget. Bridget, it's Stephanie. I'd like to speak to you for a moment, honey.
[ Bridget remembering ]
>> Brooke: And the secret
will stay between you and
me, Whip and Stephanie.
>> Stephanie: Bridget?
Honey, let me in, please.
>> Bridget: She knew!
>> Stephanie: Bridget, I know you can hear me.
>> Bridget: Go away.
>> Stephanie: No, I'm not going to do that, honey. I'm worried about you. Your father's told me how upset you are. He thinks it has something to do with Deacon.
He was going to call your
mother, and I stopped him.
I thought maybe you didn't
want to speak to her
right now. Bridget, please, honey. I -- I just want to help you.
>> Whip: So you were talking to Deacon?
>> Brooke: Yes.
>> Whip: When?
>> Brooke: This afternoon. He came over to take Bridget to lunch, but she had already gone.
>> Whip: So you two were alone together?
>> Brooke: It was fine.
>> Whip: Define "fine."
>> Brooke: I told you. We had a nice conversation.
>> Whip: What, about the tremendous passion the two of you share for one another?
>> Brooke: No. About Bridget and how important it is to me that she be happy. And he's going to do everything he possibly can to make sure that she is. He apologized for being so angry at me lately.
>> Whip: Really?
>> Brooke: Yes, really. I think he's coming to terms with our marriage and the fact that you're going to be raising his child.
[ Whip sighs ] and I wouldn't rub that in if I were you.
>> Whip: No. I have no need to do that.
>> Brooke: Whip, it's going to work out. Deacon and I are committed to keeping this secret.
>> Whip: Well, I know you are. Sorry for getting on your case. But while you and Deacon were talking, I was talking to Stephanie, and she was drumming it into my head that we have to be very, very careful.
>> Brooke: Like we don't know that already!
>> Whip: Look, she made some good points here, Brooke. All it takes is one person to overhear the conversations that you and Deacon seem to be having.
>> Brooke: Well, nobody heard us.
>> Whip: Really? Well, where was Erica, huh?
>> Brooke: I don't know, but the door was closed, and we were very quiet.
>> Whip: Okay, you know what? I'm not going to harp on this. You know what's at stake just as much as I do.
>> Brooke: Yes, I do.
>> Whip: All right. I'm gonna go put on my suit.
>> Brooke: Maybe I'll call Bridget and see if she'll join us. I'm sure she's back from lunch by now.
>> Whip: So she did go to lunch?
>> Brooke: I assume so. I told you, Deacon was looking for her.
>> Whip: Well, he never found her.
>> Brooke: Are you sure?
>> Whip: Well, I'm positive. He was talking to Stephanie when I left, and then he went into a meeting.
>> Brooke: Oh. I wonder where Bridget could be?
>> Bridget: You want to help me?
>> Stephanie: Yes, I do.
[ Door shuts ] Bridget, can you tell me what's bothering you?
>> Bridget: Sure, Stephanie. I could do that. And then you could tell me I'm crazy.
>> Stephanie: I would never do that.
>> Bridget: You did. You did! When I came to you for help because something didn't feel right, because Deacon was acting strange and mom -- you told me not to worry and that I was just being paranoid.
>> Stephanie: I shouldn't have said that.
>> Bridget: Why not, huh? Why not, Stephanie, if it's what you really thought? I mean, you've always been brutally honest with me, right? The one person I can always count on to just tell it like it is? That's your reputation. That's what I've admired most about you. As it turns out -- I'm not a very good judge of character.
[ Bridget laughs ]
>> Stephanie: Tell me what it is, Bridget.
>> Bridget: No, Stephanie. You tell me.
You tell me! You can't talk? Not even now? Oh, you've got to be careful, huh? Don't want to say too much. Wouldn't want poor little Bridget to get a clue. Get out!
>> Stephanie: No.
>> Bridget: Leave! You are everything my mother said you are -- manipulative! And you are evil! I guess you were right about my mom, too. She really is -- a whore.
[ Bridget sobs ]
[ phone rings ]
>> Megan: Forrester creations.
>> Brooke: Hi, Megan, it's me.
>> Megan: Hey. How are you enjoying your afternoon off?
>> Brooke: Oh, I'm having
a great time just relaxing.
>> Megan: Well, that's good, because once this baby's here, you're not gonna get much chance for that.
>> Brooke: That's true.
>> Megan: So what's up?
What can I do for you?
>> Brooke: Well, I'm just trying to track down Bridget. Whip said that he wasn't sure if she went back to the office.
>> Megan: Well, he's right
on that.
We haven't seen her.
And actually, Deacon was
looking for her, too. I know he tried her at home, but there wasn't any answer.
>> Brooke: Huh? I wonder where she could be.
>> Megan: Is everything okay?
>> Brooke: Yeah. I just want to thank her again for the baby shower.
>> Megan: She did a great job, Brooke. She really did.
>> Brooke: Yes, she did. It meant a lot to me.
>> Megan: I know how important that relationship is to you.
>> Brooke: Yes, it is. So when you see Bridget, have her give me a call, okay?
>> Megan: Sure thing.
>> Brooke: Thanks. Maybe she's taking a swim at the beach. Or maybe she's taking a nap. That would explain why she didn't answer her cell. What a shame that they missed each other. I'm surprised Bridget didn't notice Deacon's car in the driveway when she came over.
>> Whip: Erica, what are you up to?
>> Erica: I'm just putting away some gifts from the shower.
[ Whip whistles ]
>> Erica: Yeah, the baby did pretty well for himself.
>> Whip: What's this?
>> Erica: It's a mobile. It hangs above the baby's crib.
>> Whip: I don't know, would you want that hanging above your head? It'd scare the living daylights out of me.
[ Erica laughs ]
>> Whip: Well, all right. We're gonna be down by the pool if you need us, so keep up the good work.
>> Erica: All right. Thanks.
>> Brooke: Oh, my god. Oh -- oh, my god!
>> Stephanie: Bridget, honey, I --
>> Bridget: No! Just go away! Just leave.
>> Stephanie: No. No, I'm not going to go away, and I'm not going to leave you. How did you find out?
>> Bridget: I heard them talking -- about what a sacrifice they'd made.
>> Stephanie: What idiots.
>> Bridget: They didn't know I was listening. Oh, god. How could she do this? He's my husband.
>> Stephanie: Honey, I know that you're in love with him. I understand that, but believe me when I tell you, he doesn't deserve you.
>> Bridget: They've been having an affair.
>> Stephanie: Yes.
>> Bridget: Is he -- is he in love with her?
>> Stephanie: He says he is.
>> Bridget: And it's his baby.
>> Stephanie: I'm sorry, honey. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry, Bridget.
[ Bridget sobbing ]
>> Announcer: Tomorrow on "the bold and the beautiful" --
>> Bridget: My mother is having a baby with my husband.
>> Announcer: Bridget is devastated.
>> Bridget: How could a mother do this to her own daughter?
>> Announcer: Now Brooke's about to have a very bad day.
>> Bridget: My husband is a liar. My mother is the other woman. And this baby --
>> Announcer: And she has no one to blame --
>> Whip: You and Deacon were upstairs and Bridget was down here in this room, with this monitor?
>> Brooke: I don't know. I don't know, Whip.
>> Announcer: -- But herself.
>> Brooke: Bridget heard us talking. She knows everything!
>> Announcer: "The bold and the beautiful."
