Amber: I am so sorry.

Rick: It's the best thing you could be doing.

Amber: Leaving you and little Eric?

Rick: To get better, Amber, and to get healthier.

Amber: But I've already put you through so much.

Rick: Please -- please stop worrying about me. I just want my wife back. And we are going to do whatever it takes to make that happen. Hey, Amber, I love you. I love you. And we are going to get through this just like we've made it through everything else. We have such a wonderful life waiting for us on the other side. Just think about that, okay?

Amber: Yeah.

Sheila: So he asked you to spend the night.

Erica: Don't say it like that.

Sheila: Well, like what?

Erica: Like that. Like it -- like it means something. It doesn't.

Sheila: It's the beginning of the end.

Erica: Look, if you had heard the way Rick was talking about Amber tonight, you would realize he is just -- he's so in love with her. And he's dedicated to her.

Sheila: Uh-huh. And has that helped him or does it hurt him?

Erica: It's just really sad. Amber is so wrapped up in her own drama, she doesn't even realize what Rick's going through. I really -- I just wish that she would get her act together, that's all.

Sheila: Is that what you really wish? You care about him. You understand him better than Amber ever will.

Erica: Okay, mom, this idea that you have about Rick and me, it -- it's ridiculous, okay?

Sheila: Why?

Erica: Because for a million reasons! For one, he is married!

Sheila: Not for long.

Erica: Mom, you are dreaming, okay? You're dreaming. I have to go.

Sheila: You call me. You tell me what happens.

Erica: Nothing is going to happen.

Sheila: Call me and tell me. This is it. This is it! Everything that was meant for me, my daughter is gonna have.

Rick: I asked Erica to stay over tonight. She can stay as long as we need her to.

Amber: We're lucky to have her now.

Rick: You'll be home before you know it.

Amber: What about work?

Rick: Don't even think about that.

Amber: Rick, your whole family is depending on me.

Rick: They'll understand.

Amber: You're gonna tell them?

Rick: Look, Amber, I know it's hard, but there can't be any more secrets. Addiction thrives on that.

[ Amber sighs ]

Amber: Great. Your mother will just love this.

Rick: No, that is not true.

Amber: And what about Stephanie? She was so proud of me.

Rick: She still will be. Amber, nobody's gonna think any differently of you, I promise.

Stephanie: Hello?

Taylor: Stephanie, it's Taylor. I need your help.

Wwhip: She's checking into rehab tonight?

Brooke: That's what Stephanie said.

[ Doorbell rings ] that's probably Stephanie right now.

Whip: I'll get it. Stephanie, hi. Come in.

Stephanie: Hello, Whip. Thank you. Well, I guess I'm the first one here.

Whip: Yeah. So, were you able to get a hold of everyone?

Stephanie: Eric and Thorne will be here. But Kristen and Tony, they can't make it. And, as you know, Ridge is out of town.

Whip: Well, that's probably best given the way things stand between him and Rick.

Stephanie: Did you get a hold of Bridget?

Brooke: Yes. She'll be here.

Stephanie: Is she bringing her husband?

Brooke: I don't know. I didn't ask.

[ Doorbell rings ] I'll get that.

Stephanie: Don't let your guard down. This is the voice of experience talking.

Whip: Eric, hi. Good to see you.

Eric: Stephanie? Did you know this was going on with Amber?

Stephanie: No, I had no idea. Although, whenever I would call her up and try and talk to her, ask her to come and see me, she just kept begging off.

Whip: Yeah. Anytime she was moody or erratic, we just figured she was grieving.

[ Knock at door ] so considering Brooke is pregnant, we didn't want to –

Brooke: Erica? Uh, hi.

Erica: I'm guessing Rick didn't tell you? He asked me to stay the night to help out with little Eric.

Brooke: Oh. Come in.

Erica: Is, um -- is Rick here?

Brooke: He's on his way. Look, there's something I should probably tell you.

Erica: Oh, god. Is Amber okay?

Brooke: So you're aware of the problem she's been having?

Erica: Yeah.

Brooke: Okay, well, it's gotten worse. She has to go into rehab tonight.

Erica: God. Rehab?

Brooke: Now I need you to keep this in strictest confidence.

Erica: Yeah. Um, yes, of course.

Thorne: Hey, Brooke.

Brooke: Thorne.

Thorne: Are they here yet?

Brooke: No, not yet.

Thorne: How long has this been going on?

Brooke: I don't know. None of us had any idea, really.

Sheila: Hello?

Erica: Mom, it's me. Something's happening.

Sheila: What is it?

Erica: I don't know, but everybody in the family is here except for Rick and Amber. It's like a big family meeting. And Brooke told me that Amber is going into rehab tonight.

Sheila: Oh, it's as intervention. They're gonna throw her out.

Erica: They wouldn't do that, would they?

Sheila: I'm coming over.

Erica: But, Mom, you can't. You can't. Mom?

Brooke: Honey, I'm glad you're here.

Bridget: Why didn't Rick tell us it had gotten so bad?

Brooke: I don't think he knew. Amber's really good at hiding things.

Whip: They're here.

Amber: What are they doing here? What's going on?

Stephanie: Hello, sweetheart. Why don't you come over and sit down?

Amber: I -- I don't understand.

Taylor: I called Stephanie and told her what was happening.

Amber: They all know?

Eric: Yes. Amber, we all know about your addiction.

Amber: Why would you do that? Huh?

Stephanie: Because Taylor wanted to make sure that we had a chance to tell you how much we love you. And we wanted you to know that when you left here, you're gonna be safe. It's all right, honey. Come on.

Taylor: By now, all of you know that Amber is gonna be checking into a drug rehabilitation center tonight. It's not very far away, but she's not going to be able to see any of us for awhile. And I think there are some things that need to be said. Tonight Amber told me that she feels like she's disappointed everyone.

Stephanie: Oh, no.

Taylor: She feels like she's let the whole family down. In particular, she is very worried about your reaction.

Brooke: My reaction? Amber why would you worry about that? I mean, I'm the last person who would judge you. Did you forget? Not too long ago I had to go out of town and take care of myself. And who took over when I did that? You and Rick. And I haven't forgotten that.

Whip: Amber, we want to support you any way we can.

Sheila: Amber, if you're smart, you won't listen to a damn thing she has to say. She's only a friend when it's convenient for her. I learned that the hard way.

Brooke: You are not my best friend. You're not my close friend. You're not my dear friend. In fact, the way you're acting, you're no friend at all. I don't want you to come to my wedding, Sheila, not because of Stephanie, not because of the Forresters, but because I don't like you! I think you're a clinging, pitiful, dependant human being. And it disgusts me, the position that you put me in.

Brooke: Well, good! Good, that's what it's supposed to do. It's supposed to hurt you. Because the only way to get through to you is by using pain. Want some pain, Sheila? Don't you dare show up to my wedding. Do you understand? And so help me god, if you show up anywhere near that chapel, I will have you arrested. I'm not kidding!

Sheila: You don't mean it!

Brooke: Yes, I do! I mean every word of it. You're crazy. You're crazy as ever, Sheila. And if you knew reality, you'd know why I came here in the first place. It was because I pitied you, because I wanted to do a good deed. I wanted to help you. I sure as hell didn't want to resurrect a friendship with you. And why? Because there's no change. You haven't changed. You're incapable of change. You're still that crazy, psychotic lunatic. And I don't want you anywhere near my family. Do you hear me? And that includes Stephanie. I don't even wish you on her! So go get a life and stay the hell away from me!

Sheila: Yeah, that relationship meant everything to me. She just threw it away. She threw me away. Oh, my god. Is that little Bridget?

Bridget: Amber, school's out now, so I can give 100% to promoting the line. And Deacon and I are going to spend a lot of time with little Eric. We can take him to the beach. He loves that.

Deacon: Hey, Amber, listen -- he's not gonna have his mother for a little while. But look, he's got two fathers.

Taylor: Amber, do you hear what they're saying?

Amber: What I hear is that you're all gonna have work twice as hard because of my failure.

Thorne: Failure? Amber, you haven't failed anybody. I believe it's just the opposite.

Stephanie: Sweetheart, look around this room. You don't see on anyone's face disappointment or disapproval. You just see love and affection and 100% support. So tuck that in your heart and take it away with you. You're part of this family now. And you know what that means? It means, if there's anything in this world that's too tough for you to handle on your own, we're there for you 100%. So don't push us away. Don't say that you're not worthy of us. You are. Just let us love you, because we do. We love you.

Sheila: What am I doing here? I've got to get out.

Eric: Amber, I have some news, which is --

Sheila: That's him! Oh, my god, there he is!

Eric: It's hard asking for forgiveness. It's humbling. I'm certainly familiar with that. Everybody in this family is. We've all stumbled. We've all tripped ourselves up along the way. And all of us know what it's like to feel the pain of knowing that we've hurt somebody that we love. But the past is not inescapable. You can break free from that. And the first step in doing that is is accepting the forgiveness that's being offered to you here tonight and free yourself up to do the job you have to do.

Sheila: He's so kind. Such a good man. It's the same thing he offered me -- a new life, a chance to start over and be happy. Oh, there's no one like him -- no one in the whole world.

Rick: I hope you heard what my dad had to say. Because I feel exactly the same way. Nothing you did was unforgivable. And nothing you did changes the way I feel about you at all -- except to make me more proud of you and what a fighter you are.

Amber: I haven't been fighting.

Rick: Yes, Amber, you have. You've been losing. You've been losing because you've been fighting all alone. But that's not gonna happen anymore, Amber. We are all here for you. I want to thank all of you for coming here tonight and supporting us. It means so much.

Sheila: She loves him. And why wouldn't she? He's perfect for her.

Taylor: Well, I guess we'd better go get Amber's things packed, unless you have anything else you want to say.

Amber: I have -- I just wanted to say that I'm sorry, and thank you.

Rick: Sweetheart, you're gonna be --

Thorne: You're gonna be fine. We'll support you, every one of us.

Amber: Oh, thank you.

Sheila: Are they gone? Oh, god.

Erica: Yeah. Amber's upstairs. She's -- she's packing.

Sheila: Oh, she's moving out, and you're moving in. This is perfect.

Erica: Mom, just let it go.

Sheila: Let it go? This is your golden opportunity. She -- she may be gone for weeks, months.

Erica: That doesn't matter. Mom, weren't you listening to Rick?

Sheila: Oh, yes. Oh, he -- he sounds so wonderful, strong and -- and kind, just like his father.

Erica: Yeah, Mom, he is. And you know what? He is also very dedicated to Amber. He's -- he's never going to leave her.

Sheila: And the road to hell is paved with good intentions. And living with Amber is like living in hell. No, they're gonna get a divorce. The question is -- are you ready to take her place? Erica, I -- I can't do this for you. You have to want it for yourself. I know you do.
