Amber: Calm down. Calm down. Look at us. We were so happy there. It seems like so long ago, I can barely remember. I'm so sorry, Rick. I don't know how you put up with me.
Rick: I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done that.
Erica: No, no, it's okay. I'm glad you did.
Rick: I couldn't help myself. I've never felt this way before. I tried to fight it, but I'm so drawn to you.
Erica: Kiss me again, Rick. Kiss me again.
Rick: Oh, Erica. Erica. Erica?
Rick: Great, I'm glad you're still here. Sorry that I took so long. I swear Eric could read that book a thousand times in a row. I hope you weren't too bored.
Erica: No. No, I was -- I was fine. I was just, you know, daydreaming.
Rick: Well, um, I guess now that I finally got Eric down, I should let you go home. But you'll be here tomorrow, right?
Erica: Right.
Rick: Great. Well, thank you very much for staying on. I know we haven't discussed your pay yet, but I thought we could run it through Forrester and that way you'd get benefits.
Erica: Great.
Rick: Good. Again, thank you very much. I'm very sorry about what happened.
Erica: You know what? Don't even worry about it. It's -- it's fine. It's not a problem.
Rick: You drive safely.
Erica: Okay, I will.
Rick: Good night.
Erica: Good night.

Sheila: I can't believe I'm back in L.A. So many memories here. So much tragedy. But I was happy here, too. Happiest I've ever been in my life. With you, Eric -- the most incredible human being I have ever known. We would be perfect.
Eric: Perfect? We don't need perfect. We just need each other. From what I can see, that's what we have. You certainly have me.
Sheila: But will that last?
Eric: You still don't know me that well, do you? Yes, it'll last. I'm not going to abandon you, Sheila -- not now, not today, not tomorrow, not ever. I don't want you to worry about my leaving you, 'cause that's not gonna happen. I want you to feel secure with me, more secure than you've felt with anybody. We're going to be together a very long time. Can you think in those terms?
Sheila: I love you so much, Eric. God, I still love you.
******************************************************************************************
Brooke: Eric, I'm heading home. Do you need anything?
Eric: No. No, I'll see you tomorrow.
Brooke: You're sticking around?
Eric: There's no real reason to rush home.
Brooke: So things still aren't working out well with you and Stephanie?
Eric: I didn't think it was possible, but they've actually gotten worse. She brought up my marriage to Sheila.
Brooke: Well, that's just like her. As if you didn't feel bad enough, now she brings all the skeletons out of the closet.
Eric: I was pretty defensive at first. You know? But now that I've had a chance to think about it, she does have a point, you know? She doesn't trust me. And why should she really? I mean, Sheila carter was a psychopath and a very, very big mistake on my part. How could I do that? How could I marry somebody like that?
Eric: Stephanie warned me about Sheila. She said she was dangerous. And I didn't listen.
Brooke: Well, why would you? Stephanie would have been suspicious about anybody you would have been involved with.
Eric: Yeah, but she was right about Sheila.
Brooke: You play the slots long enough and eventually you're going to hit the jackpot.
Eric: Mm-hmm. Still, it happened. I can't deny that it happened. I can't sweep it under the rug anymore -- not anymore.
Brooke: Oh, Eric, don't let her make you feel guilty. You're a good husband. You were great to me. And I'm sure you were wonderful to Sheila.
Eric: Brooke, Sheila tried to kill Stephanie.
Brooke: Well, I am not defending her. Sheila carter deserves to be in jail. She's a menace to society. But she was also a person -- an extremely complicated, confused person, desperate to be loved.
Eric: Desperate, yeah. Desperate is right.
Brooke: It's easy to remember the terrible things about Sheila. But she wasn't all bad, Eric. Some people just have issues that are more dangerous than others. And the problem is, you never know what's going to push them over the edge.
*****************************************************************************************************
Amber: Hey.
Rick: Hey.
Amber: What took you so long? I've been waiting for you.
Rick: I was talking to Erica.
Amber: I thought she left.
Rick: I'm not firing her, amber. She's not a bad person, Amber. And she's good with little Eric. I told her that she could still work for us.
***************************************************************************************
Erica: Hello, Mother. How was your day?
Sheila: Obviously not as good as yours.
Erica: You've got that right.
Sheila: Well, I'm glad you enjoyed your last day in L.A. I want you to go pack your bag. We're going home.
Erica: I'm not leaving now, not after today.
Sheila: Oh, really? And what happened today?
Erica: Mom, you wouldn't believe it. It was total chaos. Amber came home for lunch. And I was watching little Eric by the pool. Remember, I was talking to you on the phone. Anyway, I guess she didn't see me, because she just -- she went berserk. She was screaming and yelling and just carrying on and on. And she said that I was putting little Eric's life in danger, and she fired me right on the spot.
Sheila: You got fired? You just said it was a good day.
Erica: Well, that's not the good part. When Rick came home and found out what amber had done, he hired me again. He even wants to put me on the Forrester payroll. God, can you believe it?
Sheila: No, I can't.
Erica: Oh, mom, it was so amazing the way he stuck up for me. Rick knew I wasn't lying. He trusted me. He is so incredible. He's sweet, and he's kind. He's the most amazing, wonderful person I have ever met in my entire life. And you know what the best part is, mom? I think he likes me, too.
*************************************************************************************************
Amber: So, you didn't fire Erica, huh?
Rick: Look, Amber, we both have a lot to deal with right now. And we could use some help with little Eric.
Amber: Okay.
Rick: Do you mean it?
Amber: I overreacted today, and I'm sorry. I don't know what happened. Now, I saw Eric alone by the pool, and I just freaked out.
Rick: Well, maybe it's the pills.
Amber: What about them?
Rick: Maybe they do have something to do with your mood swings. You took one today, Amber. I thought you said that you were going to stop taking them.
Amber: I want to. But I'm still in so much pain. And I keep thinking it's going to get better. I keep thinking that I can handle it, but I can't. I don't know what's wrong with me. I just want everything to be normal again. I just want to wake up tomorrow and be happy like we used to be. But I ruined -- I ruined everything.
****************************************************************************************
Erica: We can't go back to Mystic now, Mom. Everything is finally starting to come together for me.
Sheila: Erica, you got a job, and Rick was nice to you.
Erica: Rick needs me, okay, mom? He and Amber both do.
Sheila: Amber doesn't want you there. What happens when she fires you again?
Erica: Rick won't let her.
Sheila: Oh, you don't think so?
Erica: Look, Mom, I know your life hasn't turned out the way you wanted it to. And I know you don't want me to suffer the same kind of disappointments. But are things really better in Mystic? Come on, talk about disappointment. What's left there for us?
Sheila: I have a job there, Erica.
Erica: You could have a job here, Mom -- a better one. Maybe Rick could even find you something at Forrester.
Sheila: Well, I think his father would have something to say about that.
Erica: His father is just as sweet as he is. Where do you think he gets it from? The Forrester men -- they're princes. There is no one like Rick back at home. There is no one like him anywhere. He is one of a kind. And I finally have a chance to get to know him.
Sheila: You really do like him?
Erica: Are you kidding? I've been daydreaming about him since I was a little girl. You remember all those wedding pictures I used to have tacked up all over my room? I used to pretend -- it's ridiculous. I mean, it could never really happen, but I --
Sheila: Why not?
Erica: Mom, Rick's married to Amber.
Sheila: Oh, honey, she's got nothing on you. You are a very special young woman.
Erica: So does that mean we're gonna stay?
Sheila: I don't know.
Erica: Mom, just promise me you'll think about it, okay? I'm gonna go take a shower and you just -- you relax, you know, chill out, and you think about it, please.
****************************************************************************************************
Amber: I don't know what's wrong with me. I just feel like everything's falling apart.
Rick: You know, Amber -- this is just a bump in the road. It's a big one. But we'll get over it.
Amber: I know I've been hard to live with. And I'm sorry. I'm so sorry, Rick. Please don't lose faith in me.
Rick: I won't.
********************************************************************************************************************
Sheila: You're right, Erica. Rick is a very special man, every bit as special as his father. You shouldn't be embarrassed by your feelings for him. You're an incredible woman yourself. After being married to this witch, Amber, Rick deserves someone like you.
Minister: Lord, bless and consecrate Rick and Erica in their love for each other. May these rings be a symbol of true faith in each other, and always remind them of their love. Amen.
Sheila: I can't believe it's actually happening. My daughter is going to be a Forrester. They accept her. They must love her.
Rick: Erica, I give you this ring in token and in pledge of our constant and everlasting love.
Erica: Rick, I give you this ring in token and in pledge of our constant and everlasting love.
Sheila: Oh, Eric, isn't this wonderful? After all these years, we're gonna be a family again.
Minister: Now that Rick and Erica have given themselves to each other by solemn vows and the exchange of rings, I pronounce them husband and wife. You may kiss the bride.
[ Applause ]
Sheila: My life was ruined when I lost Eric. I can never have him back. But my daughter can have his son. All we have to do is get rid of amber.
Rick: Good-night, honey. You just try and get some sleep and don't worry. Everything's gonna be all right.
Sheila: Amber. We have to get rid of Amber.
