Whip: Mrs. Brooke Jones -- classic, elegant, timeless. It's really quite lovely.
Brooke: Whip, maybe we're rushing things.
Whip: No, Brooke. If anything, we haven't moved fast enough. Deacon is having his way with you, and you're powerless to stop him. Listen, I know you're feeling miserable about what you and Deacon did in Paris. But Brooke, it's not too late to change everything, you know, to turn the page, to start all over. You know, as horrible and as miserable and as vile as this whole thing has been, it can all end today on this plane.
Brooke: How?
[Whip clears throat]
Whip: Now, we're going to L.A. to get married, right? But you don't know me really well, so you feel a little uncomfortable. I want you to get to know me better.
Megan: What on earth is going on?! What are you doing?
Deacon: Megan -- Megan, please, you've got to help me. I don't know what the hell to do here. He's gotten to her. He's done it.
Megan: Okay, slow down. Who? Who are you talking about?
Deacon: Whip -- that bastard Whip! He's finally gotten to Brooke. She's going to marry him.
Megan: She is?
Deacon: Yeah. They're heading back to L.A. Right now. Big wedding right away!
Megan: Wow.
Deacon: "Wow"? Yeah, "wow"! We've got to do something about this.
Megan: Wait a minute. We have to do something about this?
Deacon: Great, fine, okay. All right, look, if you're not gonna help me, just get out of here, 'cause I've got to think this one out, all right? Just go, please.
Megan: Deacon, look, you tried that already, going to Paris, and that didn't work out very well. You made love to her. She went over there to try and get you out of her heart, but you couldn't respect that, you know, and look what happened. So she's doing the only thing she has left. She has to, for herself, for Bridget, and ironically, even for you. She has to marry Whip.
Amber: Now, I already told you my doctor is out of town. I just need a few to hold me over until -- what do you mean you can't? You're a pharmacist, aren't you?! No, no, I don't want to talk to another doctor. I just -- fine. Okay, forget it.
Bridget: Hey. Check it out. I just picked it up from the printer. What do you think?
Amber: "Brooke Logan and Whip Jones joyfully announced their wedding plans." Well, they're not wasting any time, are they?
Bridget: I think it's so great.
Amber: If that's what Brooke wants.
Bridget: Of course it's what she wants. He's the father of her baby.
Rick: Yeah, but that doesn't necessarily mean she's in love with him, Bridget. And I don't get the feeling that she is.
Bridget: Oh, come on, Rick. So why is she marrying him? [Rick sighs]
Rick: That's a good question.
Erica: I see what you're trying to do. You're trying to put a move on my queen, huh?
Ben: Only it's not your queen he'd like to make a move on. [Laughter]
Zende: Would you guys cut it out?
Erica: Really, boys. Someday you'll grow up, and you'll understand what Zende is going through.
Ben: Whatever. We're as old as he is.
Erica: Well, you don't act like it. You're rude, Ben. And Charlie, I heard that little joke you told Leah. Naughty, naughty. You would never hear Zende say something like that. And I'll tell you guys something -- girls don't like it, either.
Deacon: Megan, let me ask you something. What do you want here? Do you want her to do something that's destructive, something that -- that we both know she's gonna wind up regretting? This is gonna be the biggest mistake of her life.
Megan: Well, if you asked me, Deacon, she's already made the biggest mistake of her life.
Deacon: Ouch. Wow. So he's gotten to you, too? I've got to hand it to the guy. He sure knows how to work the ladies.
Megan: Nobody has gotten to me, Deacon, and he's not working Brooke either.
Deacon: Do you think she loves him? Do you think she wants to marry him? Answer me. Megan, you say you're so in touch with this good friend of yours, your boss. She's carrying my baby inside of her. Look, if she marries Whip, she's going to wind up being miserable. She will get divorced. That's the future, and she knows it.
Megan: Well, Deacon, if she knows it, then she won't go through with the wedding.
Deacon: You're probably right. I mean -- I mean, she's a smart woman. I mean, deep down, she's got to know this is never gonna work. Yeah, 'cause you know, it's one thing to just talk about having a wedding, but you I mean, to actually plan it and have the guests come and your family, and you know, to stand there and say those vows to a man that you don't love -- I mean, she's never gonna pull that off. She's probably already backed out.
Brooke: You arranged all of this?
Whip: Well, I had help. You know, there are a lot of people out there rooting for us.
Brooke: Who?
Whip: Anybody with half a brain. I am the answer to your prayers. I'm the only person who can save you from yourself. Now, that's not a man tootin' his own horn. That's just a fact. Your daughter's future, the stability of your family, the mental health of this child inside of you -- it all depends on me. I love you, Brooke. I just want to see you happy. I thank God that I'm able to give you that. You feel guilty. Your -- your self- esteem is rock bottom. You feel that what you and Deacon did was reprehensible and that you're never gonna recover from it. But you will. I promise you, I'm going to help you. If you let me.
Zende: Aren't you going to finish playing the game?
Erica: Chess is so boring. Why don't we listen to some music?
Zende: But I thought you liked chess.
Erica: Yeah, well, maybe it was just an excuse to sit and talk to you.
All: Aw! How sweet!
Erica: Now, now, little boys. Very uncool. I love this song!
Zende: Dad!
Tony: Hey, son. What's all this applause about?
Charlie: Zende, he got serenaded.
Zende: Charlie --
Erica: Hi, Mr. Dominguez.
Tony: Well, hello, Erica. It sounds like you have quite a voice.
Zende: She's excellent.
Sajji: You think everything she does is excellent. [Light laughter]
Zende: Why don't you go play in some traffic, huh, Sajji?
Tony: Listen, sport, why don't you gather your stuff? We have to hit the road. We've got some shopping to go do.
Zende: Shopping?
Tony: We have to get you a new suit for the wedding.
Zende: What wedding?
Tony: Well, your uncle Rick's mom is getting married.
Bridget: You haven't been around them, Rick. You don't know how Mom really feels about Whip.
Rick: Oh, and -- and you do?
Bridget: Well, I've been around them more than you have. And you know what? He treats her better than she's ever been treated by a man.
Rick: Better than Dad or Thorne?
Amber: Will you two please stop?!
Rick: What's the matter?
Amber: I'm just not feeling well.
Rick: Is it the pain?
Amber: Yes, yes. It's the pain.
Bridget: I thought you had medicine for that.
Amber: No, I ran out.
Bridget: Can't you get more?
Amber: My doctor doesn't want to give me more.
Bridget: Well, why not?
Amber: 'Cause he's an idiot! Okay, you know, let's just not talk about this. When is this wedding supposed to be?
Rick: They're talking about getting married immediately.
Brooke: Whip, I'm not ready for this.
Whip: We're engaged.
Brooke: I know it may sound old-fashioned --
Whip: You're not going to tell me that you're saving yourself for marriage?
Brooke: I just don't want our first time to be on an airplane.
Whip: Why?
Brooke: 'Cause then it would just be sex, nothing more. You want more than that, right?
Whip: Well, it -- it'd do for now.
Brooke: Oh, come on. I'm serious.
Whip: So am I.
Brooke: Wait. Whip, you know what my problem is.
Whip: Deacon.
Brooke: You're going to have to be patient with me.
Whip: Oh, come on. For how long, Brooke? He's going to be in your head until you replace him. That's why we're doing this. It's going to be awkward at first -- a different man, a new lover. You're attracted to me, Brooke. I am crazy about you. It's just, let it be that, okay? Let it be physical. The love will come. You'll see. This is the only way that you can truly put Deacon behind you. I know you can do it.
Marty: We're starting our descent into Los Angeles, ms. Logan. If you and Mr. Jones would buckle up, we should be on the ground shortly.
Whip: Tell him to circle for like an hour.
Brooke: Whip --
Whip: Fine. We'll wait until the wedding night. Brooke, even if you still are in love with Deacon, on our wedding night, we will share a bed. [Brooke sighs]
Brooke: On our wedding night.
Zende: Uncle Rick's mom is getting married?
Tony: Yep.
Zende: When?
Tony: Next week, which is why we have to get your suit today. Come on. Finish gathering your stuff. I'll meet you in the car. Erica, it was nice to see you again. I'm sorry I'm stealing your chess partner.
Erica: No problem.
Tony: Hurry up, son.
Erica: So it sounds like fun.
Zende: Huh?
Erica: The wedding.
Zende: Oh, yeah. Sorry I have to leave.
Erica: Don't worry about it. So I guess I'll see you in a couple weeks.
Zende: What?
Erica: Zende, weddings are big, and Forrester weddings are huge. You'll probably be an usher or something. You'll have rehearsal and family dinners and all of that. You're not gonna have time for chess after school -- not for awhile, anyway.
Zende: I don't know about that.
Erica: Look, if there's anything I can do for you, just let me know.
Zende: Like what?
Erica: Well, if you know, you need a friend to go to the wedding with you, I'd be happy to go as your date -- your friendship date.
Zende: Really?
Erica: Yeah. Look, here's my number, and you give me a call if there's anything you need. Have fun with your dad, okay?
Whip: Okay, we're gonna be swamped any minute. How do you feel?
Brooke: I don't know.
Whip: Yes, you do. You are thrilled. You are engaged to the father of your baby. You couldn't be happier.
Brooke: Oh, Whip --
Whip: No, Brooke. Happy, happy, happy. That's what Bridget wants to see. If you falter, this whole thing is going to fall apart.
Brooke: Oh, God.
Whip: Brooke, think about your daughter, okay? Her life, her happiness -- if you leave the door open for Deacon, he will take advantage of it. You don't want that -- do you? Brooke, I know this is going to be difficult for you, but it is absolutely imperative for you to look him in the eye and let him know it's over. Don't give him even an ounce of hope.
Bridget: There they are! Mom, congratulations!
Whip: Hey! Oh, man, what a great day, huh?
Bridget: The best! You are one lucky man, sir!
Whip: Oh, don't I know it!
Bridget: Mom --
Brooke: Oh, Bridget.
Bridget: You must be so thrilled.
Brooke: Oh, I'm just -- a little overwhelmed.
Bridget: Oh, don't worry about a thing. Your matron of honor will handle everything.
Whip: Rick, Amber, it's good to see you.
Rick: Whip. Hi, Mom.
Brooke: Hi, honey.
Rick: Welcome back.
Brooke: Thank you, Amber.
Amber: It's good to have you home.
Whip: You know, your mom and I are very, very sorry for your loss.
Rick: Thank you.
Whip: Yeah, well, I just hope in some small way we're able to bring some joy back into this family's life.
Bridget: You know what? We should have a family party -- an announcement party.
Brooke: A party?
Bridget: Yeah, yeah. Deacon and I can have it at our place. Whip, why don't you invite your mom and anyone else in your family?
Whip: That would be great. I'm sure she --
Brooke: Does Deacon know about this?
Deacon: Does Deacon know about what?
Bridget: Hey, honey. I didn't have a chance to tell you. Um, we are going to have a party for Mom and Whip.
Deacon: Really? Why?
Bridget: Their wedding, honey. I wanted the two families to get to know each other.
Whip: Yeah, it will be very important for my mother.
Bridget: Well, I'll take care of planning. And let's do it immediately.
Deacon: Wait a minute, Bridget. Hang on. You guys aren't serious about this, are you?
Whip: Deacon, Deacon, Deacon -- look, I know we've had problems ever since you took over promotions, but I was hoping we can get past all of this.
Deacon: You know what? Actually, um -- I'd like to speak to you and Brooke for a couple of minutes if you don't mind.
Bridget: Deacon, this isn't the time, okay? Please, can we just let bygones be bygones?
Whip: No, Bridget, you know what? I think it's best if we do talk this whole thing out. Could you three give us a little time?
Rick: No problem.
Deacon: You're not marrying this guy. I'm not gonna allow it.
Whip: Deacon, it's --
Deacon: Shut up!
Whip: -- Etched in stone. Live with it.
Deacon: Brooke, I want to hear this from you.
Whip: Well, all right, darling. Go ahead. Tell him. We're getting married right away. Brooke? Brooke, tell him.
