Amber: Can you believe it? we're actually here. oh, I'm going to memorize every last detail. I'm gonna tell you all about it. it'll be your favorite bedtime story. how you were here with mommy on the greatest day of her life.

Megan: Amber, there you are. Come on, we need you backstage.

Amber: Okay, little one, time to go to work.

Megan: Now, I realize that's gonna be a fast change. But I'll get you an extra dresser to help you with it, okay? So, meet her over there, all right?

Model: Okay. thanks.

Megan: Amber, come here.

Hairstylist: Amber, I tried to do it the way you wanted me to do it. is this what you meant?

Amber: Yeah, I just want a few pieces pulled.

Hairstylist: Okay.

Megan: Can we start letting people in?

Thorne: Hang on one second. Jake, where are we with the lights?

Eric: Where's amber?

Megan: She's over there. Right over there.

Eric: We need the accessories for the third grouping.

Amber: Well, Rick has them.

Eric: Where is he?

Amber: Well, I thought he was here.

Eric: All right.

Amber: Deacon, have you seen Rick?

Deacon: Uh, no, haven't seen him.

Amber: No.

Deacon: Wait, wait, wait. Amber, Amber. Hey, congratulations. You did a good job.

Amber: We'll see.

Deacon: No, listen. it doesn't matter what any of them think. you done good.

Amber: Thank you. I got to go find Rick.

Deacon: Go, go.

Megan: Deacon, Deacon. I think you'll want to see this. Come here.

Deacon: Oh, wow!

Bridget: Really?

Deacon: Yeah. yeah, really.

Bridget: I just wish mom could be here. I think she'd really be proud of me.

Deacon: Yeah, she would be. Listen, we're gonna -- we're gonna tape this thing so she's gonna get to see it. now, more importantly, come here.

Bridget: Oh, the hair! Watch the hair.

Deacon: You're starting to sound like a model already.

Stephanie: No, thanks. actually, nothing is going to take my mind off of what's going on down at the office. It's going to be quite a production.

Ridge: Yeah, a spectacle is more like it. I just don't understand how dad can be a part of all of this.

Stephanie: Well, I think that he's trying to make due with what's left of him. it isn't easy for him, honey. Just like it isn't easy for you.

Rick: I sent them down.

Amber: Well, we'd better get going. 'Cause we're supposed to do the meet and greet. And we've got plenty of people --

Rick: Amber.

Amber: What?

Rick: Slow down. You didn't even notice.

Amber: Notice what?

Rick: This.

Amber: Oh, my. This is -- this is too much.

Rick: This is your graduation day, Amber. you are now a full-fledged Forrester designer. All those people on that showroom are waiting to see what you have to offer and I can't wait for them to see what I've known all along and these are for you.

Amber: Thank you.

Rick: For what?

Amber: Believing in me. Fighting for me. Uou know, this isn't just my graduation. It's ours. We went from two screwed up, insecure kids to the top of the world and love did that. I can't believe how much my life has changed, just because you loved me.

Kristen: Isn't this great? it's a really good time.

Eric: Hey, Kristen.

Kristen: Hi, dad. Hi. How is everything going back there?

Eric: Lots of enthusiasm. That's the way it's going. Zende, hi.

Zende: Hi.

Eric: Hi, Tony.

Tony: Mr. Forrester.

Eric: I'm glad you cold make it.

Zende: Thank you for inviting us.

Eric: Sure.

Kristen: So how's amber doing? Is she remembering to take it easy?

Eric: No, she's not, but I will remind her. So what do you think about all this?

Zende: It blows my mind.

Eric: It does? Well, wait'll the show starts. you're gonna love that.

Zende: Is grandma here?

Eric: No. no. she couldn't make it.

Kristen: I'm sorry, dad.

Eric: Well, I have to get back there. Okay? I'll see you later.

Tony: We'll see you later.

Kristen: Bye.

Zende: Bye.

Ridge: You really think this is hard for dad?

Stephanie: Well, of course it is. he built this business. he thought that you would eventually take over for him, and now you're not even part of it.

Ridge: Well, I guess, lucky for him, he's got Rick to take my place and of course, there's Rick's wife.

Stephanie: Oh, don't start blaming amber.

Ridge: Hey, don't start defending her.

Stephanie: I'm not defending her. I mean, she's doing what any starry-eyed young kid would do. She's young, honey. She doesn't understand the business. I think the truth is she has no idea what her line could do to our reputation. of course, it isn't our reputation anymore, is it? I know her so well, she probably feels that she's stepped right into a fairy tale. Well, I'm happy for her. She hasn't had a lot of happiness in her life. I wish I could see her face right now.

Ridge: Yeah, I wish I could see her fall on that right now.

Announcer: If everyone would please take your seats, we will be starting shortly.

Rick: Well, what do you think?

Amber: I can't believe all these people are here to see my designs. Well, now's your chance if you want to say something.

Amber: Yeah. Okay.

Deacon: Oh, here she is. Hey, everybody, come here. Here's the woman of the hour right now!

[ Applause ]

Amber: Oh, I just -- I can't even tell you guys how amazing this feels. You know, it's like you all just stepped out of my imagination and now you're standing right here in front of me. Caitlin, what was the high point of your career?

Caitlin: 12 years old, a toothpaste commercial.

[ laughter ] my parents were so proud.

Amber: See, that's what I'm talking about. That's the moment, where it just all comes together, where all the disappointments and all the failures, they just -- they seem worth it. Because you're standing there, and you're looking at the people who love you in the eye. you know, the people who always had faith in you, and you can say to them, "I did it. I did it!"

Deacon: All right, yeah!

[ applause ]

Amber: See, and that, that is the kind of energy I want out there on the runway. Because that's the message we're sending here, that it just doesn't get any better than this.

[ applause ] I want to thank you all for being a part of this day. oh, and I want to say a very special thank you to this man -- Eric Forrester.

[ applause ] your dream made our dreams possible.

Eric: Well, I'm looking at the new faces of Forrester. and they're young. I just want to remind you of one thing -- the faces may be new, but the tradition is not. The fashions may be a little More relaxed, but the standards are not. Forrester is still Forrester. We are the best of the best and I want you to show that to the world when you go out there. All right, have a great show.

Rick: Thank you.

Stephanie: Well, they're just children playing out a fantasy and as far as their mother -- well, I wouldn't go there. Eric is the only person with the wisdom and experience to see where this is all leading and for whatever reason; he's chosen to ignore it.

Ridge: Yeah, well, he can't do that today, can he? He'd never admit it -- family unity above all, right? when dad sees those designs coming down the runway, inside he's gonna know -- this is not Forrester. Nothing to do with his vision for this company. you know what he is gonna see? He's gonna see a lifetime of work completely wasted -- a legacy destroyed. You know, as much as I'd like to think that dad has this coming to him, today I really feel for him. I really do.

Eric: Seems like she is.

Kristen: All right. I'm gonna go back to my seat.

Reporter #2: Are you getting this?

Photographer: Yeah, I'm getting it.

Reporter #3: Every time you think Forrester is on the brink of collapse --

Reporter #4: They pull another rabbit out of the hat.

Rick: They are loving it!

Amber: Really?

Rick: Yes! Are you ready?

Amber: Yes.

Rick: Come on, let's go.

[ applause ]

Rick: Ladies and gentlemen, we are not done yet. one thing that you're gonna learn about my wife is that she is full of surprises. So let's bring her out here. Ladies and gentlemen, amber Forrester!

[ applause ]
