The Bold & The Beautiful Transcript Monday 1/28/02 By Linda Massimo: Sally, thank you. It's been a bit of a long day. I think I better mosey on home. Sally: Oh, by home do you mean that bleak, luxury penthouse you hang out in? Forget it, that's not what you need. Massimo: Oh, what I needed tonight well, at any rate, what i wanted tonight was a simple gesture of appreciation from my son. Just a simple thank you, nothing more. Was that too much to ask for? Sally: From ridge? Definitely. As it would be from any other member of the Forrester family, Massimo. I know that from personal experience. My children know it. My business associates know it. You want a real genuine gesture of appreciation, then this is the place you'll find it. [ Banging noise ] Massimo: Oh, someone's in there. Sally: Hmm? Hello, Darla. How's everything? Darla: Hi, Sal. It's done. Sally: Oh, wonderful. Excellent. Hello, boys. Massimo: Doing some redecorating? Sally: Yes, I thought the place needed a little lightening up. Darla: Oh, and I whipped up a batch of that mojo juice. Msimo: Mojo juice? Sally: I'll explain it all later. Well, Darla, if you're finished I guess you can be going, hmm? Darla: Okeydoke. Sally: Gentlemen, thank you so very much. I appreciate it. Darla: Okay, boys, let's pa it up. Leave these two alone. You have a good night, Sal. Good night, Mr. Marone. Massimo: Good night, Darla. [ Darla laughs ] Sally: Darla, I think it's time for you to beat it. Darla: Okay, okay, okay. Sally: Thank you. Darla: Good night. Sally: Good night. Massimo: Bye-bye. Why do I get the feeling that I just walked into an ambush? Sally: Oh, I have absolutely no idea. Here, take a slug of this, it will help you relax. Massimo: Mojo juice? Sally: Mm-hmm. It is from an ancient recipe. I invented it myself, in your honor. It is hot and spicy, but surprisingly sweet. Massimo: Very, very bad for you, I imagine. Sally: Absolutely lethal and decadent. But the way it makes you feel inside makes it worth the risk. Massimo: Sally, knowing you as I do, I just know that you've got something up your sleeve. Sally: Up my sleeve, what are you saying? Feel free to search up my sleeve if you like. Or any other part of my garments here. No, Massimo, seriously, the only reason i brought you here is to help you relax and have a good time. I mean it. That was our deal, remember? You were going to allow me to show you how good we could be and how much fun we could have together. Massimo: Mm-hmm. And you were going to keep my secret and never tell anyone that ridge is my son. Sally: Exactly. Now, I have made good on my word. And tonight, Mojo, you are going to make good on yours. Massimo: Rum. Sally: Yes, rum. I thought it would appeal to the pirate in you. In much the same way that I appeal to you. Massimo: Sally, you revive me. No kidding. I mean, you just literally bring me back to life. Although I have a feeling that tonight may be a little more than I bargained for. Sally: What are you talking about? Tonight is going to be exactly what you bargained for, you brilliant negotiator, you. Massimo: Oh, you think so? Sally: I know so. And, up until tonight, I've been getting the short end of this deal. You know that, Massimo. You know how I am longing to let Stephanie know that I am in on her little secret. It is torture for me, not to be able to wipe that smug, superior look off her face. And all it would take is just a hint -- the merest whisper that I am the only thing that is standing between her and the loss of her family's reputation. Massimo: Don't even joke. Sally: Who's joking? Massimo: Sally -- Sally: Okay, I'm joking. I'm not going to say a word about it. You know that, Massimo. Massimo: Thank you. You know, it means a great deal to me to know that I can trust you. Sally: You can. You can trust me not only with your secrets, but with your heart as well. How many years have you been saving your heart for Stephanie Forrester, Massimo? Hmm? And for what? It's never gonna mean anything to her. She's not the kind of woman who is capable of taking a flying leap into unknown territory for the sake of love. For that, you need a different kind of woman. For that, you need a woman who is willing to lay it all on the line for you. Massimo: You know, you and Stephanie are so different. Sally: If you're interested in finding out just how different we are, stay right here. I'll be back. Stephanie: Why do I keep all these things? Do I suppose, someday, I'd like to give them to ridge? Now, don't be silly. Don't be foolish. He can't ever find out about Massimo. [ Phone rings ] Hello? Sally: Hello, Stephanie. Stephanie: Sally? Sally: I'm glad I caught you at home. Stephanie: Well, I'd hardly say that, honey, I was just going to sleep. Sally: Oh, well, please, please, forgive the intrusion. Oh, would you hold on just a moment, please. Yes, darling, what is it? Darling -- Massimo: Huh, did you call me? Sally: Yes, would you be a sweetie and turn on some music? Something soft and romantic, suitable to the occasion, hmm? Massimo: As you wish. Sally: As you wish. Don't you just love it, huh? Stephanie: Who was that? Sally: What? You don't recognize the voice of your oldest and dearest friend? Stephanie: Massimo? No. Sally: Oh, forgive me. Of course. It can't possibly be he, can it? What would he be doing here with me? I mean, that goes against your vision of what life really is. In your vision, he is sitting home alone at night -- every night -- pining away for you. Well, listen, I'm gonna let you get back to your fantasy life. Oh, and listen, darling, while you're there, would you do me a favor and dream a little dream for me? I don't think I'm gonna be getting much sleep tonight. Bye. Stephanie: Mass is with sally? Oh, my god, how pathetic. [ Massimo sighs ] Massimo: Sally? Sally: Right here, baby. Massimo: Whoa, you look -- you look -- Sally: What? How do I look, huh? Massimo: Well -- [ Massimo clears his throat ] Sally: Outrageous? Massimo: Mm-hmm. Sally: Flamboyant? Massimo: Mm-hmm. Sally: Definitely code red? Massimo: Very code red. Sally: Well, that's very good, because that is the kind of evening we are going to have. Outrageous, flamboyant, code red. Starting right now. [ Mustang sally plays ] Massimo: Oh, la, la. Mustang Sally Massimo: Yeah, Sally. Guess you better slow that mustang down Massimo: Oh, go, girl. Mustang sally now, baby Massimo: Oh, what in the world -- guess you better slow that mustang down Massimo: That's fantastic. Oh, my god. That's incredible! Yes. You've been running all over town oh, I guess you gotta put your flat feet on the ground Massimo: Oh, you're so red. Oh. Sally: Red alert. Watch out, girls Massimo: Oh, my, look at this, it's incredible! All you wanna do is ride around, Sally ride, Sally, ride yeah, ride, Sally. Go on, shake your booty. All you wanna do is ride around, Sally ride, Sally, ride oh, my goodness, look at this! This is incredible. All you wanna do is ride around, Sally ride, Sally, ride what is that? Whoa! That's -- [ Massimo laughs ] all you wanna do is ride around, Sally ride, Sally, ride what is this? [ Massimo laughs ] [ Sally laughs ] wanna be there in morning what's it gonna be, Sally? Oh, Sally Spectra, you'ra nut! I can't get over this -- [ laughing ] [ Massimo laughing ] Sally: Oh, oh. Oh, oh. Well, you really enjoyed that, didn't you? Massimo: Let me tell you something, Sally. You should forget about the fashion industry. You should go on the stage. I mean, you're shameless. Sally: Oh, I know. Everybody's always telling me that. [ Massimo choking ] oh, my god. Oh, here we go. Let's get rid of this, hmm? You know something, Massimo? I don't mind being shameless when it comes to matters of the heart. As a matter of fact, I'm proud of it. And I know you are, too. You're the same kind of person. We're two of a kind, you and me. Stephanie isn't like that, you know. She's not like us. She wouldn't know how to be. She wouldn't know how to how her feelings like that, and it isn't because she doesn't have feelings for you. I know she does. But she just can't express them. She can't let herself go. She's too worried about her precious pride. Well, we don't think about things like that, you know? And I know for sure you deserve something better. Now, enough about Stephanie. I am now going to go to my dressing room and get into something interesting. Massimo: Hmm? Sally: And when I return, we will have the grand finale. Stay tuned. ************************************************************************ [ Knock on door ] Massimo: What now? Stephanie? Stephanie: I can't believe you're here. Oh, my god. Massimo: It's a little hard to explain. How did you know I was here? Stephanie: Your new best friend, sally, telephoned me. I can see from the looks of this place I got here just in the nick of time -- or maybe I didn't. Mass, if you're gonna become involved with Sally, you're going to end up embarrassed and humiliated. I think I should warn you. Massimo: How ironic. She was just warning me about you. Stephanie: Well, that's not surprising, is it? Obviously, you find her charming and amusing. Massimo: She can be at times. Stephanie: She's also cunning, crafty and very manipulative. Massimo: I'm more aware of that than you realize. Stephanie: Then what are you doing here? Massimo: Why do you care? Stephanie: I shouldn't. But we've been friends for a long time. Massimo: Oh, I see. You're worried that Sally's gonna take advantage of poor, innocent me. Please. Stephanie: You think there's more to it than that? Massimo: Of course there is. I know it and you know it, only you don't have the courage to admit it. Stephanie: Oh, I see. That's what they call it these days -- when women, wives, betray their husbands. Massimo: You're only using your husband as an excuse. Stephanie: What? Massimo: You heard me. You used Eric as an excuse in college and you are using him now, because you've always been so damn afraid of facing your feelings for me. Stephanie: I have -- Massimo: You know, I -- listen. It has taken me so many years to realize what a coward you can be at times. [ Stephanie gasps ] Stephanie: I have acknowledged my feelings for you, mass. Massimo: Oh, yes. You have acknowledged them. But you haven't felt them. You don't let them guide you. Stephanie: I wanted a family. I wanted -- Massimo: Safety. Mm-hmm. Stephanie: Yes. Massimo: But that's n what you got, Stephanie, did you? Huh? "Safety"? Sure. [ Massimo laughs ] hold it. Eric, your safe choice, right? What did he do? He left you for a younger woman. He made your life miserable. He threw half your company away. And I had to lead an empty life because you were afraid of your feelings. And look at -- look at us. We're both at the same place. You're still pushing me away after all these years. Stephanie, how long do we have to suffer this? Stephanie: I never -- you were going to be fine. I knew that. You were fine. Massimo: Is that what you've been telling yourself all these years? No, no, no, no, no. No, don't be afraid. Don't be afraid. Don't run away from me. Stephanie: Mass, look -- just let me be. Massimo: No, no, no. I let you go once, and I've regretted it ever since. This can't go on like this for either one of us. Listen to me. I'm gonna do whatever it takes, but I want you back. |
