[Deacon sighs]

Deacon: Man, this is so surreal. I'm married to Bridget Forrester. Wow. I didn't want it to happen like this, Amber, but I had to do something.

Bridget: I made you some coffee.

Deacon: Thanks.

Bridget: You are the most incredible man, Deacon Sharpe. And I am Mrs. Sharpe.

Deacon: Yes, you are.

Bridget: Hey, you know what? Let's go out for dinner.

Deacon: Mmm, that does sound like a tempting offer, but you know what? It seems to me that somebody had some studying to do for finals. And who could that be?

Bridget: How am I supposed to study when all I can think about is last night? Deacon, you were so sweet and gentle.

Deacon: Baby, if you don't pass your exams, your family's gonna blame me, and I can't have that, so why don't you go call a friend and study?

Bridget: But I want to be with you.

Deacon: Right now, the most important thing --

Bridget: Is taking care of my husband.

Deacon: That's a close second. But actually -- actually, it's getting good grades, okay? Bridget, come on, I want you to be the best person that you can be. School has got to be your number one priority. You gotta get good grades.

Bridget: You're so dedicated to me. I am the luckiest girl alive.

Eric: Bridget, my baby girl, and you took her.

Stephanie: He didn't sleep at all last night.

Brooke: Neither did I. I can't believe what that bastard did.

Amber: Well, I'm sure he was very gentle with her.

Brooke: Oh, will you stop? My daughter slept with that thug. She was a virgin, but she isn't now, and you want to know why? Because he thinks we took his son, and he thinks we took his lover!

Amber: I was never his lover!

Brooke: Well, obviously, that's what he thinks about you, Amber. That's why he's doing all of this.

Amber: Hey, Brooke, I'm sorry, okay? I'm sorry. I said it over and over. What more do you want from me?!

Brooke: You know exactly what I want from you.

Stephanie: Amber, take the baby and go for a walk, will you, please? Come on, go. I want to talk to your mother-in-law for a minute.  What's the matter with you? Do you think you're going to solve anything by laying it all on her?

Brooke: You know, none of this would have happened if it weren't for her. Stephanie, she is too selfish. She could have saved Bridget, but she didn't, and I will never forgive her for that!

[Cellular phone rings]

Amber: Hello?

Deacon: Hey, baby, it's me.

Amber: Where's Bridget? Is she with you?

Deacon: She's out studying for finals with a friend. Take it easy, Amber.

Amber: Take it easy? How can I take it easy? You put me in a terrible position.

[Deacon sighs]

Deacon: With Brooke and Eric.

Amber: Yeah, they think of this as all my fault.

Deacon: Well, you know, maybe it is.

Amber: How could you?

Deacon: Honey, this never should have happened in the first place. Look, I don't belong with Bridget any more than you belong with Rick, but you're stubborn. Well, guess what? So am I. Look, baby, it doesn't have to happen like this. You can change all this tonight. All you got to do is just take little D by the hand, and the two of you come back here to me. 'Cause that's the only way it's gonna happen. Amber, are you still there?

Amber: Deacon, this isn't fair.

Deacon: No, no, it isn't fair, Amber. It's not fair to you. It's not fair to our kid. Come on, he needs me.

Amber: Then I'll bring him to see you.

Deacon: I don't want to see -- Amber, I don't want to see him. I want to live with him.

Amber: Deacon --

Deacon: We can't go on this way, Amber.

Amber: You're right about that. You have to send Bridget home.

Deacon: I will. I will, just as soon as you come back to me. Amber, it's time.

Amber: No, Deacon, no. God, I am married. Doesn't that mean anything to you? You have to stop messing with these people's lives. You have to tell Bridget the truth and stop with this farce.

Deacon: Well, this farce is a marriage, just like yours.

Amber: No. No, mine is based on love. Yours is based on lies. You know, you can still have it annulled.

Deacon: You really don't get it, do you? If you don't come back to me -- if you don't come back to me right now, I will stay with Bridget, for better or for worse. And this isn't just to punish you and the Forresters, just so you know that. Bridget's my ticket now. I'm in the family, which means I can see my son anytime I want, and I don't have to wait for those idiots to decide to throw me a bone.

Amber: God, Deacon, please don't do this.

Deacon: I know this is heavy, baby. It is for all of us. I love you, Amber. I love you and little D, and I will do anything I have to to get you back. Look, as soon as you say the word, this will be behind us, but you've got to make a decision, and you've got to make it now. Look, I'm gonna go over to Insomnia. And you call me, when you have an answer.

Stephanie: Do you expect that girl to walk out on her marriage, out on her husband, and move back in with this "thug," as you call him?

Brooke: Yes, I do, and I don't think it would be very hard for her, either.

[Door closes]

Amber: Deacon just called.

Eric: How's Bridget? Where is she?

Amber: She's okay. She's studying for her finals.

Brooke: She's with Betsy, right, not with Deacon?

Amber: Yes, she's with a friend.

Brooke: Well, what did he tell you?

Amber: He said he's still holding out.

Eric: Holding out?

Brooke: For you and his son.

Amber: He's at insomnia waiting for an answer.

Brooke: Oh, God. Look, Bridget's life is at stake here. I know it's a hard decision, Amber, but it's really the only solution.

Stephanie: Brooke! That's emotional blackmail.

Brooke: Call it what you want, Stephanie, but it's the only way we can get Bridget back home. Now, come on. He wants his son back. Don't tell me you don't have sympathy for him.

Amber: Yeah, but that doesn't mean I want to live with him.

Brooke: Why not? The two of you would be perfect together, Amber. Come on. Look, if you need financial support, we'll do that for you. It's not a problem.

Amber: Stop it! This is sick!

Brooke: I want my daughter back!

Stephanie: But it's not gonna happen this way. Don't you understand that? Can't you accept that?

Betsy: This is so unbelievable.

Bridget: Yeah, tell me about it.

Betsy: You married the guy?

Bridget: Mm-hmm.

Betsy: What'd your parents do?

Bridget: They're pretty upset.

Betsy: Yeah, I'll bet. So you made your point, right? I mean, your parents are gonna stop railing at you.

Bridget: What do you mean?

Betsy: Well, this whole marriage thing, it isn't for real, is it? I mean, you did it to mess with your mom and dad.

Bridget: No, Betsy. No. I have a husband, and I'm in love with him.

Betsy: Yeah, okay. But you didn't --

Bridget: Didn't what, sleep with him? I told you, I'm his wife.

Betsy: You had sex?

Bridget: Last night, for the first time.

Betsy: Wow.

Bridget: Yeah. Wow.

Deacon: Who's holding down the fort?

Alexandra: It's my day off.

Deacon: Seems to me you weren't there yesterday, either, were you?

Alexandra: I'll be there tomorrow and the day after that. What, you checking up on me?

Deacon: What, who, me? No, just a lot going on you don't know about.

Alexandra: Like what?

Deacon: Like I got hitched.

Alexandra: What?! It worked? You went to Rick's wedding with Bridget, and the family backed down?

Deacon: Not exactly.

Alexandra: Well -- you got Amber back, right? How'd you do it, Deacon?

Deacon: I didn't. They did this to me, and then they threw me out.

Alexandra: I don't get it. You said you were married.

Deacon: Oh, I am. Little princess herself.

Alexandra: What? You -- you married Bridget?

Deacon: I got myself a piece of the Forrester pie, in more ways than one. No way they're gonna keep me away from my son now, or Amber, either, for that matter.

Alexandra: So, what, you and Bridget, you're, like, living together, in the apartment?

Deacon: We got our little love nest set up.

Alexandra: So you and Bridget, you've slept together?

Deacon: Yeah, yesterday. It was her first time.

Alexandra: Deacon, that's horrible.

Deacon: It really wasn't that bad.

Alexandra: But you don't love her.

Deacon: No, no, but it was kind of like a -- well, like a workout. Beats going to the gym. Look, I don't like deceiving this girl. But to be honest, I never really thought it would go this far.

Alexandra: I can't believe you let it go this far. I'll bet her parents are ready to kill you.

Eric: Deacon Sharpe, you bastard.

[Eric remembering]

Deacon: Baby, if it feels good, I just want you to let it out. Don't hold anything back. We're married now, okay? Just let me hear you.

Eric: You take my sweet, beautiful daughter to your bed. Well, you're gonna pay for that. You're never gonna get your hands on my daughter again.

Deacon: Man, you oughta see 'em. Brooke and Eric, they're fit to be tied.

Alexandra: You have their daughter, Deacon.

Deacon: They have my son. All I want's a fair exchange.

Alexandra: With Amber thrown in as what, a bonus?

Deacon: No. No, she's a deal breaker. I'll release Bridget when they release Amber.

Alexandra: But Amber doesn't want to be released.

Deacon: She's so caught up in this thing she doesn't know what she wants. She'll come around.

Alexandra: She'd leave her marriage to help Bridget?

Deacon: She'd leave her marriage to help herself. Come on, Alex, you've seen the two of us together.

Alexandra: She's very attracted to you. What woman isn't?

Deacon: Nah, it's more than that. It's a lot more than that. Amber and I have got so much in common it's just scary sometimes to think about it. I've never been one of those guys who believed in destiny, you know, like that there's the perfect match for everybody. I always thought that was a bunch of garbage, until I met Amber. What? What, what are you givin' me this look for?

Alexandra: You're so in love with this woman, but you're married to this little girl who I'm sure feels the same way about you. This is going to devastate her.

Deacon: I'll take care of that when the time comes.

Alexandra: I don't like it.

Deacon: Well, I don't like it, either, Alex.

Alexandra: Deacon, this family is rich and powerful, and they're not gonna let you get away with this. You have Eric Forrester's daughter, and I don't know when or where, but he's going to come after you.

Betsy: I hope you used protection.

Bridget: Of course we did.

Betsy: I can't believe it. Mrs. Deacon Sharpe.

Bridget: I know I'm young, but it just feels so right.

Betsy: Yeah, if you say so.

[Intercom beeps]

Betsy: Oh, that's the intercom.

Betsy: Yeah, Mom? What? Yeah. Yeah, okay.

Bridget: What's up?

[Knock on door]

Betsy: You're about to find out.

Bridget: Mom?

Brooke: Oh, honey.

Bridget: What are you doing here?

Brooke: Look, I know you're caught up in this, and you're young and you're beautiful, and you think you're in love.

Bridget: I am in love, Mom.

Brooke: Okay. Okay, maybe you are, but Deacon isn't.

Bridget: I'm not going to get into this with you right now.

Brooke: I'm not going to let this happen.

Bridget: Don't you see? It is so far beyond that. Look, you're making a scene.

Brooke: You are my teenage daughter. What kind of a mother would I be if I didn't try to stop you?

Bridget: You can't stop me.

Brooke: Well, I cannot accept this.

Brooke: Bridget, you and I have been through so much together. We trust each other. That's why we're so close. I am asking you to trust me now. This man is conning you.

Bridget: "This man" is my husband, and you better start treating him with respect.

Brooke: He is in love with Amber!

Bridget: You should go, Mom.

Brooke: Oh, honey. I don't want to lose you.

Bridget: I don't want to lose you either, but unless you stop fighting me -- look, this is the man I'm gonna be with forever. I know I'm young, but Rick was young when he fell for Amber, and so was Dad when he married Stephanie. I know you think that we rushed into this, and I understand how you feel. But we are truly in love, and I need you to accept that. Mom, your daughter just got married. Please, why can't you just be happy for me?

[Eric remembering]

Deacon: Tell me you like that.

Bridget: I like that.

Deacon: You like that, baby? Right there. Right there.

Eric: You're never gonna touch my daughter again, not after tonight.

Deacon: What are you telling me, that I ought to be afraid of Eric Forrester? He ought to be afraid of me. If he doesn't give back the baby and give back Amber, I might just get it in my head that I need to bang out a couple babies with his daughter.

Alexandra: You really are angry.

Deacon: Yeah, you're damn right I am. None of this would have happened if it wasn't for that pompous fool. I'm getting worked up. I got to get out of here.

Alexandra: Deacon, do me a favor, will you? Watch your back. You're walking a thin line.

Deacon: Don't worry about me.

Alexandra: I do.

[Eric remembering]

Deacon: Do you like that?

Bridget: Yes.

Deacon: Tell me you like it.

Bridget: I like it. I love you, Deacon.

Deacon: Feels so good.

Eric: Never again, you bastard. Not with my daughter, never again.
