Episode #24

Provided By Gisele

Colby: [Laughs]

David: [Laughs] Well, I don't know about you, but I definitely worked up and appetite. What do you say we go over to Jane's and grab a bite?

Colby: Mm. I kind of have a thing at the studio. I think I should go.

David: Okay.

Colby: [Sighs]

[Door closes]

Jesse: Hey. Talk to me.

Zach: How is Cassandra?

Jesse: She's resting.

Zach: How's Angie?

Jesse: She's hanging in there. What is this? Russian? We need to get a translator in here.

Zach: We need to get you back to the hospital. That's what we need.

Jesse: I-I [Sighs] I will. First, I need to get you out from under this murder rap.

Zach: I appreciate you wanting to help, but we're good.

Jesse: I need to help. You did not kill Uri, Zach.

Zach: I know. That's why it's not gonna stick.

Jesse: I till need to prove it.

Zach: For the last time, Jesse, it's not your responsibility.

Jesse: It is.

Zach: You are my friend, and this is so wrong on so many levels, but swear to God, I am gonna make it right.

Lea: Jesse. How's your daughter?

Jesse: She's had better days. Better nights.

Zach: Hey. I said I got this.

Jesse: What are you doing here anyway, going over confidential FBI files.

Zach: Boss lady said it was okay.

Jesse: So the two of you are working together now?

Lea: It's a temporary arrangement.

Zach: Ah, she says that now.

Lea: It's very temporary.

Zach: Jesse, she doesn't believe that I'm innocent, and I think she wants a piece of this. I can't blame the woman.

Lea: [Laughs] And he's delusional, too. One of his many winning qualities.

Zach: Hey. Go to the hospital.

Jesse: I --

Zach: Go to the hospital and be with your family. We've got this.

Jesse: [Opens door and walks out.

Hunter: Check out the action on this one.

Kyle: [Chuckles] That's hot. I got to share this.

[Cell phone beeps]

Girl: [Laughs]

Mr. Ronga: I have to step down to the office for a moment. I trust you can all behave yourselves alone for five minutes... or else.

[Door closes]

Hunter: What a dumbass! Hey, Miranda, you're an artist, draw something for us.

Kyle: Yeah. Eve will even pose nude for you.

Eve: Wrong. I don't do [bleep].

Hunter: Guess it's up to me, then.

[Laughter]

Kyle: Hey, look. It's Miranda doing a dive into the lady pond with her Bramwell girlfriend.

[Laughter]

Kyle: Where's your sense of humor?

AJ: All right, Miranda, honor student, got detention.

Heather: Shut up! Why?

AJ: I swear. Out teacher, Mr. Ronga, he, like, went postal on her for being late.

Heather: Ew, sounds like a total hard-ass.

AJ: I know. That's what I said. But you know what's weird? She didn't even care. What?

Heather: Nothing.

AJ: Nothing? I'm starting to think nothing always means something. What? Okay, Miranda's my best friend. If something's wrong, you need to tell me.

Heather: If she's your best friend, she'll tell you.

AJ: What? No, seriously. You're starting to freak me out.

Heather: Miranda didn't want you to know.

AJ: What?

Heather: That Hunter sent out a picture of her.

AJ: God! Are you serious? That asshole!

Heather: And me. It's not real. It's Photo Shopped, but it has our faces.

AJ: You know what? Just stop right there. Are you serious? Why didn't she tell me this. Where is -- Okay, you know, I'm gonna go find her. I'll -- I'll be right back.

Angie: [Whimpers] How do you watch your child sweating and shaking and retching... and there is just no -- not anything that you can do!

Jesse: Baby, you have been there right by her side.

Angie: No, but I wasn't. When my daughter needed me the most, she was all alone.

Jesse: You can't blame yourself for this, Angela.

Angie: She told me what those animals did to her. They pumped her with drugs. They beat her. They raped her!

Jesse: Stop it. Stop it!

Angie: They made her do a porno film. [Sniffles]

Jesse: Yeah.

Angie: You knew?

Jesse: Yeah. I saw a little bit of it online.

Angie: And you didn't tell me?

Jesse: I couldn't tell you, Angie!

Angie: What do you mean?!

Jesse: You were already dealing with too much!

Angie: I'm her mother! I'm her mother, and I had a right to know! I had a right to know. Anything else that you're holding back?

Jesse: I'm gonna go out there right now, I'm gonna find that footage, and I'm gonna destroy it. I gotta head out there.

Angie: You can't erase what they did. They took away her innocence, Jesse. They hurt her in ways that she will never, ever, forget, and I just want to know why. [Crying] Why? Why? Why? Why did this happen to my daughter? Why? why?

[Door opens]

Miranda: Hey, um... I-I was just looking for that "Walking Dead" DVD I let you borrow. I missed something in the second episode. So, um... I was just looking --

AJ: How was detention?

Miranda: It was fine. Got a little homework done. Thanks. How was Heather? Did you guys have fun?

AJ: Why didn't you tell me about that picture Hunter sent?

Miranda: Did you see it?

AJ: No.

Miranda: Then how did you -- Heather told you.

AJ: Do not get pissed at her, okay? I made her tell me, and you want to know what? I'm not gonna let him get away with it.

Miranda: That's why I didn't tell you. You could get kicked off the baseball team.

AJ: Hey. You want to know something? You're a lot more important than some stupid team, okay?

Miranda: Yeah, well, you're the only one who thinks so.

AJ: Stop, okay? That is so not true.

Miranda: Isn't it? Why does everyone at school hate me?

AJ: Listen. Come here.

Miranda: [Sniffles]

AJ: I don't hate you, okay? I don't hate you at all. [Sighs] I think you're amazing.

Miranda: Don't ever leave my life.

AJ: Even if I wanted to, I couldn't.

Miranda: [Laughs] I need a tissue. [Laughs]

AJ: Bathroom.

Miranda: Under the sink. I know.

AJ: [Sighs]

Miranda: You know, a part of me wishes you could have seen what Hunter said when -- AJ? AJ, no! AJ!

Cassandra: [Crying] Please. Please, no!

Angie: It's okay!

Cassandra: No, get away!

Angie: It's okay, sweetheart! I'm here. It's Mom. I'm here. I'm right here. I'm right here.

Cassandra: Don't let them hurt me again!

Angie: No, baby. They won't. No one's gonna hurt you. No one's gonna hurt you ever again! I promise. I promise. She's seizing.

AJ: Hey, man. I'm not trying to fight, but you need to back off. Leave Miranda alone.

Hunter: Or what? You're gonna take us all on, Chandler?

Dimitri: Start with the day that Hayward arrived in prison.

Brooke: Mm.

Dimitri: Mm? You know, what was his mental state? Was he resigned to stay? Or was he ready to fight the conviction even then?

Brooke: And how did he go from an attempted-murder conviction to the invention of a true medical breakthrough?

Dimitri: Was it driven by a culmination of losses in his own life or was it that immediate tragedy that sent him to prison?

Brooke: Oh, well, I think that would bring the interview to a dead halt.

Dimitri: Brooke, I've never known you to be shy. And David? He's anxious for the whole world to hear his side.

Brooke: Oh, he's more than anxious. You know, if there's a platform for him to state his case, David Hayward will climb on top of it.

Colby: Who is David Hayward climbing on top of now? [Chuckles] So, this is our new talk show.

Brooke: Uh... yes. This is the new Chandler Media Enterprise venture. Mm-hmm. Uh... Dimitri. I don't believe you've met Dimitri Marick. Dimitri, this is Colby Chandler, Adam's daughter.

Dimitri: Well, um... you're very beautiful -- as beautiful as your mother.

Colby: Did you sleep with her, too?

Brooke: Oh, Colby!

Colby: You know my mom. It's a legit question.

Dimitri: Well, your mother and I were business adversaries, and that was all we were.

Colby: Wait, I remember you. Aren't you that count -- the one who left Pine Valley to go to some gothic eastern bloc country?

Brooke: Yes, and he came back because I asked him to be "Talk Tempo's" executive producer.

Colby: Seriously? You brought on some Eurotrash royalty to take on a Chandler Media project?

Dimitri: [Laughs]

Brooke: I asked the best person for the job, and lucky for me, he said yes.

Colby: Okay, and God forbid, you put a Chandler in that position.

Brooke: Colby, you and I both know that JR is not strong enough to handle a job right now. He needs to -- he needs to concentrate on getting his strength back.

Colby: Hello! JR is not the only Chandler in town.

Brooke: Your father would be thrilled if you took a job here, and I'm sure there's any number of entry-level positions that would match your qualifications.

Dimitri: Actually, I could use another assistant. You could learn a little respect.

Brooke: It would be a perfect opportunity for you to learn the job from the ground up. Interested?

Colby: [Laughing] Are you kidding me? That is so a "Hell, no."

Angie: [Crying] Oh, baby. No.

Dr. Anders: Her heart rate's coming down. Her breath sounds are normal.

David: Okay. Okay, okay.

Dr. Anders: Let's get this EKG on her.

David: She's stable now. She's gonna be able to sleep for awhile now, okay?

Angie: What happened?

Dr. Anders: Your daughter had a negative reaction to the methadone.

Angie: And?

Dr. Anders: And we'll continue to monitor her closely.

Angie: That's it?!

Dr. Anders: Should there be more?

Angie: Don't get glib with me!

Dr. Anders: I'm just giving you the facts.

Angie: She almost died!

Dr. Anders: It's highly unlikely, but in general, you're correct. People have died from adverse reactions to drugs?

Angie: What kind of doctor are you? I'm going to find Joe.

David: Okay, wait a minute. Methadone can cause seizures.

Angie: No -- no more! It stops now!

David: I understand, which is why I want you to know there's another drug. It's called suboxone. It's a newer drug. Now, it doesn't work for everyone.

Angie: Well, will it put an end to the seizures?

David: It could, okay? At least, that was my experience when I helped treat inmates that were going through withdrawal.

Angie: All right. Let's do it.

Dr. Anders: Wait, hold on!

Angie: You don't get a vote.

Dr. Anders: Look, we don't have Cassandra's lab results. Once we have those, we can determine a protocol.

Dixie: I heard Cassandra had seizure.

Angie: Thanks to him.

Dr. Anders: She's a bit hysterical.

Angie: Don't you speak to me like I'm some poor woman off the street. I am chief of staff of this hospital and fully prepared to bring you before the review board. My daughter is going through hell. And if I can't treat her, I will find somebody who can -- somebody who treats people with respect!

Dixie: Why don't we just take a little break here. Okay? Come on. Just a minute.

Angie: No, I don't want to leave Cassandra.

Dixie: Just a little.

Angie: No, I can't!

David: Angie. Angie. It's all right. I'll be right here, okay? I promise. I won't leave for a second. Go ahead. Go with Dixie. It's okay.

AJ: You're an even bigger ass than I thought.

Hunter: Yo, man, I'm ready to go.

AJ: Cool. Let's do this. You and me. Right now. Get your crew to bounce.

Hunter: [Scoffs]

AJ: That's what I thought... too chicken.

Hunter: [Laughs] Right.

AJ: I am right. You're pathetic. That's why you go after girls.

Hunter: Oh, like Miranda?

AJ: Do not talk about Miranda.

Hunter: Yo, man, so what's the deal with you two, anyway? You're like, her cover-up or what?

AJ: You're such a loser.

Hunter: No, I'm curious. You're always standing up for her, defending her. W-Wait. Are you gay, too?

[Laughing]

AJ: Listen to me. Listen to me. Miranda is not gay.

Hunter: Oh, wait. So you're in love with her? Guys, he's -- he's in love with a lesbo.

AJ: Shut up.

Hunter: So, uh, does she ever let you bang her out of pity?

AJ: I said shut up!

Angie: I -- I should go back.

Dixie: Anders knows what he's doing.

Angie: I don't -- I don't care. I don't -- I don't want that jackass treating my daughter.

Dixie: I know Dr. Anders' bedside manner leaves a lot to be desired, but Joe says he's one of the best.

Angie: I just want it over. I just -- I just want my baby. I just want her well, healthy, and whole, and I don't know if she'll ever be that way again.

Dixie: We'll get her there. We just have to take it one step at a time.

Angie: [Crying] Oh, God. I'm trying! Dixie, I'm trying! I'm trying! But I can't stop thinking about it. I mean, it's right here -- right in front of my face -- the bruises, the track marks!

Dixie: I know. The damage to her body, though, will heal. You know that. And I'm here to help with the rest, as is Jesse, as are you. And where is Jesse? How is he doing with everything that's happened.

Angie: He left. He left. It was something to do with work, and David was there to help me again.

Dixie: Well, you have to know, Angie, that you are not alone, okay?

Angie: You know, she just keeps having all of these nightmares and reliving it all in her head. Who's to say when that will end? If it will end?

Dixie: It will. I promise you it will, and you have to believe that it will.

Angie: I got to be strong for her. I know I do, but every time I walk into that room --

Dixie: I know it's horrible for you. So just hang in there, okay? You're doing the best you can.

Angie: [Sniffles]

Dimitri: How did it go with Colby after I left you two?

Brooke: Well, thanks for that, by the way.

[Both laugh]

Dimitri: I just figured you could deal with her, you know, her intensity better than I could.

Brooke: Well, she's quite a handful. I think, though, she calmed down a little bit, because I was able to convince her that I just had her best interests at heart. [Sighs] And you know what? She even agreed to try her hand at low-entry-level production.

Dimitri: Well, that's great. That's good.

Brooke: You think so?

Dimitri: You don't.

Brooke: Well, what you see with Colby is not what you get, you know? She has a mind of her own.

Dimitri: That sounds like someone else I know.

Dixie: David, why are you still here?

David: Why do you think? I'm here for Angie.

Dixie: Need I remind you this is a real hospital with real doctors who practice legitimate medicine. She doesn't need you.

David: [Chuckles] I found Cassandra on the floor alone, about to OD on heroin.

Dixie: And we are all grateful for that, but your involvement ends there.

David: That is not your decision to make. I'm here to help a friend.

Dixie: She doesn't need your help! She has me, she has Zach, she has Jesse -- her husband!

David: Oh, that's funny. That's funny, because I haven't seen her husband around very much. Have you? Or yours, for that matter. What? Don't get me wrong. It's not like I'm complaining.

Dixie: Tad has a job, which is more than I can say for you.

David: [Laughs] Oh, my God. You just love singing that moron's praises, don't you? Just crowing about how good and righteous he is.

Dixie: At least he's not a narcissist with psychopathic tendencies and a God complex.

David: [Laughs] Oh, please! Save your Internet-diploma analysis for one of your unsuspecting, naive patients.

Dixie: You know what? Angie is one of the strongest, most dignified, lovely people I know, and yet she is incredibly fragile right now. I don't want you messing with that.

David: I have no intention of messing with that or her.

Dixie: You have an intention to do something, and that is what worries me.

David: Wow! Wow, you are really paranoid, aren't you?

Dixie: Well, I guess that's happens when somebody puts a bullet in your child.

David: Now, that is something that I really know about.

AJ: I'm out of here! Mother...

Hunter: Yo, get him! Where's your little gay girlfriend at now?

AJ: Nonexistent -- like your balls.

Hunter: [Kicks AJ while others hold him]

AJ: [Grunts]

Hunter: [Punches AJ] Hold him up!

Billy Clyde: Enough!

Hunter: Keep moving, old man.

Billy Clyde: Not an Adriatic chance! [Pulls out a weapon from inside his cane which makes the thugs drop AJ and run]

Angie: Cassandra?

Cassandra: [Muttering]

Angie: Cassandra! Baby! Baby! Baby, what happened?

Cassandra: Need more...

Angie: Oh, my God. You're burning up. Come on. Come on, sweetheart. Let's get you back up in bed. Come on.

Cassandra: No.

Angie: Come on, sweetheart.

Cassandra: Need more.

Angie: Come on, baby girl.

Cassandra: [Crying]

Angie: All right. Okay. All right. All right. Come on. It -- it's all right. It's all right. We'll stay right here, okay?

Cassandra: It hurts. Everything hurts.

Angie: I know.

Cassandra: Why won't you help me? Please. Mommy, please. I'll do anything! Please!

Angie: Listen to me. Cassandra, you can do this.

Cassandra: [Crying]

Angie: Listen to me. You fight. You fight. [Crying] You fight, baby girl. You fight.

Zach: What do you see?

Lea: Uri with some other lowlife.

Zach: Mm-hmm. And what else?

Lea: Oh. The necklace.

Zach: And I thought that was a Koslov icon.

Lea: Well, they are.

Zach: Well, then, who is this guy? Relative in some way? Related?

Lea: I have no idea. I mean, maybe a cousin. Uri supposedly is an only child.

Zach: What do you know about the rest of his family?

Lea: Where are you going with all of this?

Zach: [Sighs] Well, maybe they're getting tired of Uri making all the money, so someone offed him.

Lea: We don't even know if any other Koslovs exist.

Zach: That's right, we don't, but my life depends on this, so I'm gonna take a shot, see if I can hit something.

Billy Clyde: "I will carry out a great, great vengeance upon them. I will bring them to their wrath, 'cause I am the Lord." [Gives AJ a hand up]

AJ: That vengeance stuff -- that's from a movie, right?

Billy Clyde: Ezekiel 25:17, one of our great prophets.

AJ: Right. Well, thanks for the save.

Billy Clyde: Mm. Bless his holy name.

Miranda: Oh, my God! Oh, my God!

AJ: Stop, stop. Don't freak out. I'm fine.

Miranda: Hunter did this to you, didn't he?

Billy Clyde: A snapping pack of vicious miscreants. Half a dozen, at least.

Miranda: Tell me that's not true.

AJ: Yeah, well, I showed up to deal with Hunter, but he showed up with his whole posse, so...

Miranda: And they jumped you? We should have them arrested.

AJ: Stop! I'm okay. This guy scared them off with his... what is that thing?

Billy Clyde: Persuadiator has spoken.

AJ: I really appreciate it.

Billy Clyde: My pleasure.

Miranda: Dixie is gonna flip when she sees those bruises.

Billy Clyde: A-a-are you kin to Dixie Cooney?

AJ: Yeah, why? You know my family?

Billy Clyde: [Chuckling] Well, I -- uh, I've read about them in the newspaper. I know that she used to be married to Chandler -- Adam Chandler and all that. Gosh. Well, I guess I best be going.

Miranda: Thank you for helping AJ.

AJ: Yeah, man. Thanks again.

Billy Clyde: My pleasure.

Dixie: I don't want to argue about this anymore.

Dr. Anders: Well, then, admit you're wrong.

Nurse: Excuse me, Dr. Anders.

Dr. Anders: Yeah.

Nurse: The results for Cassandra Foster.

Dr. Anders: The test for STDs, negative. HIV... negative. Bacterial infections, Hep "A," "B," "C"...

Dixie: What? What is it? [Looks at the chart] Oh, my God.
