Nurse: Your little girl just might be the most beautiful baby I've ever seen. Do you have a name picked out, Mrs. Kane?

Mona: Her name is Erica.

Doctor: Here she is.

Angie's voice: From birth, life itself is miraculous.

Charles: It's a healthy baby boy!

Joe: Ha ha ha!

Natalie: It's a girl.

Janet: Thank God!

Angie's voice: Watching our children grow up from infant to toddler to teenager to adult, and the people that we've grown up with and grown older within this town, it is a gift to have shared their lives for however long -- 20, 30, 40 years -- hopefully many more.

David: That truly is a gift.

Jesse: Still doesn't excuse you for breaking the law.

Angie: We can't take miracles for granted, big or small.

Cara: See, that's what David is doing on a weekly basis. He's performing miracles. He's changing lives. He's giving back what people thought they'd lost forever. Second chances are important. To have someone you love -- to have someone you love more than life itself be brought back to you? That is the ultimate dream come true.

Jesse: I'm not arguing with any of that. Miracles are way beyond my line of duty. But releasing David, it's not gonna keep people alive forever.

Angie: That's exactly my point. Think about what we should hold near and dear. One day our family and friends will die, and they won't be back. One day they'll be gone for good. What if that day were today?

Erica: Oh. What's all this?

Marissa: Oh, they have to recite this for an assembly.

Bianca: You ready?

Miranda: The great and the least, the rich and the poor --

Spike: The weak and the strong, the sickness and in health --

A.J.: In joy and sorrow, in tragedy and triumph --

Miranda, Spike, and A.J.: We are all your children.

Erica: Oh!

[Applause]

Marissa: That's perfect, A.J.

Erica: Oh, that was so good.

Marissa: Hey, come here. What's wrong, sweetie? That was great.

A.J.: I lied.

Marissa: You lied "in joy and sorrow"?

A.J.: It makes me think of Dad.

[Knock on door]

Erica: Oh, somebody's at the door. I'll be right back.

Opal: Oh, thank goodness it is you. Listen, I just dropped by your place to say good-bye to you before your big trip to La-La land, only you weren't there packing that bag -- Jackson was. I think he's leaving you, honey.

Krystal's voice: You're not going anywhere near A.J. for a long, long time.

David's voice: You will never, ever, ever see Babe again, all right?! Take that to your grave, you worthless scum!

Jamie: J.R.?

J.R.: I always knew that you'd come crawling back.

Jamie: Ok. What are you talking about?

J.R.: You heard about Hayward's new bring-you-back-to-life potion, and you thought if he saved anyone, he'd save Babe. You also thought you'd probably creep in there and take Babe from old J.R. here, but I'm here to tell you something, brother. That's not gonna happen. Babe's dead. She's dead. Ahem.

Jamie: Um, I left you a few messages. Dad filled me in.

J.R.: Something tells me that Tad's version left out how everyone stabbed me in the back.

Jamie: You always found a way to stab yourself in the back, even if things were going your way.

J.R.: Catch your commercial flight. I got myself a jet waiting.

Jamie: I'm telling you this because you're my brother. I love you.

J.R.: Oh, love, yeah? That worked out, didn't it? You met Marissa, Babe's sister? I loved her. She left me for a woman, took my son, too. My dad -- I loved him, but he cut out. Then after that, it was a game of pile up on J.R. -- Bianca, Hayward, Scott. Even Erica tried to rip something from me.

Jamie: Maybe if you didn't look at it all as a battle, you against the world --

J.R.: It is the world against me. You trying to sucker me, put my guard down? That makes you part of that world, so you'd best back off.

Jamie: Take it easy. I'm not trying to fight you here.

J.R.: Ok. Come on, Jamie, everybody's got to fight. Otherwise, you get stepped on. Me? I'm just fighting for my life.

Jamie: I thought you were leaving town.

J.R.: I am. I will be back. My son is not getting raised by lesbians.

Jamie: As much as I miss Babe, I am glad she's not here to see you like this. It would break her heart.

Krystal: Doing ok there?

Jack: Yeah. Good. Really good. Great. Hmm.

Krystal: Yeah. You expect me to believe that, huh? Come on. We're too close for you to be holding out on me.

Jack: Let me put it to you this way. After 24 years, 10 broken engagements, 3 television shows, 2 honeymoons, a marriage, and a divorce, it looks like Erica and I are finally over.

Opal: Erica, he took most of his clothes and his toothbrush. That is a sure sign.

Erica: No, he's just upset. He's just upset, because I have to go work on my screenplay.

Opal: Honey, a man can only take so much. What if he has reached the breaking point?

Erica: But, Opal, I have dreamed about being in the movies since I was a little girl. And, yes, Pine Valley's come a long way over the years, but it's still not the corner of Hollywood and Vine.

Opal: No, but can't you be happy on the corner of Main Street and Pine with the man who loves you and who you love? I mean, Pine Valley is your home.

[Doorbell rings]

Erica: Excuse me. I'll get it.

Sterling: Jet's all fueled up. You ready to make movie magic?

Marissa's voice: Read the restraining order. I don't want to use it, but if you come anywhere near A.J., I will do whatever it takes to protect my son.

Bianca's voice: Drunk and a jerk -- is that the example you want to set for A.J.?

Dixie: Honey! Oh, thank God we caught you.

J.R.: I got nothing to say to you.

Dixie: Just please listen to me. Please, this is something that could change everything. Your Uncle Stuart -- he's alive.

J.R.: What?

Tad: Hayward's done it again.

Dixie: We're gonna go see him in the hospital. Come with us!

J.R.: Why does everybody got to lie to me?

Dixie: What?

J.R.: Yeah, just like you lied about Babe being alive.

Tad: J.R., she's not lying.

J.R.: Then it's just another one of Hayward's sick head games. I'm not falling for it again.

Dixie: No, no, no, baby.

Tad: J.R.?

Dixie: No, this isn't a game.

J.R.: You would do anything to keep me here. Stop trying to make everything all right, because you can't.

Dixie: Maybe Uncle Stuart can.

J.R.: Oh, yeah, maybe Uncle Stuart can. Maybe Uncle Stuart and Babe can have a little tea party in heaven, throw down cows and paintbrushes, make everything picture perfect.

Tad: Show your mother some respect, ok?

J.R.: Why? It's a little late to make my life all right -- you left me hanging for most of it.

Dixie: I'm trying to make up for that.

J.R.: You stay away from me. Everybody thinks that I got my dad's bad side, but I got my mom's good genes and that's what saved me? What a joke. It wasn't my father who screwed me up, it was you.

Stuart: Are you sure I'm not dreaming?

Marian: No. No, darling. This is my dream, and I dream it every night -- that you've come back to me. And then I wake up, and it's a dream.

Scott: You are both wide awake. It just feels like a dream -- the best dream ever. I'm gonna leave you two alone. Dad, I love you.

Stuart: I love you, too. Bye. My queen of hearts. [Kiss]

Adam: All this time I have been half alive and half dead, but I didn't kill Stuart. He's alive.

Brooke: And now so are you.

Adam: Yeah. This place is more depressing than the hospital. Let's get out of here.

Brooke: Stuart's with Marian right now, and anyway, I brought you back here for a little surprise.

Adam: Another surprise?

Brooke: Mm-hmm. I saw how crushed you were when you thought this whole place was gonna be sold away from your family, so I took the inheritance from my Aunt Phoebe and I bought it back. Welcome home. [Kiss]

Liza: Adam is so happy to have Stuart back that he called his friend the judge, and he got David out on bail.

Cara: That's incredible. Let's go!

David: Just hold on a minute, ok? Yeah. Angela --

Angie: Yes?

David: I have taken on a lot of people in this town, but you have, by far, given me the greatest run for my money.

Angie: Well, you know me -- when I feel strongly about something, I shout it from the rooftops.

David: Yes, you certainly do. Now, thank you for trusting in me when you had absolutely no reason in the world to.

Angie: Maybe it took me being blind to see past the sneer and the ego to the good in you.

David: All right. Now, don't go knocking my sneer, woman.

Angie: It doesn't fool me anymore. And your saving Stuart proved that you are not Dr. Doom.

Jesse: Stuart is one of our best, and what you did for him, what you did for Angela -- I can't believe I'm about to say this to Dr. David Hayward, but thank you.

David: Wow. Trust me, I'm gonna remember this moment.

Opal: Don't you roll your eyes at me until I am finished. You and me, we have been friends for a long time, and don't you think I haven't asked myself, "Why is it that she chooses to spend more time hanging out with me than brunching with the fashionista A-list?" I got to believe that somewhere in you, you know that I always have your best interests at heart.

Erica: Of course, I do.

Opal: Ok. So then you've got to hear me. I let my stupid pride keep me away from Palmer, and look what happened. I thought I had all the time in the world with him, and now what I wouldn't give for just one more chance with him. Do not let that happen with you and Jackson.

Erica: Jack was angrier than I said earlier.

Sterling: Erica, I'm sorry to interrupt, but I really do need to get back to L.A.

Opal: And you have to stay right here with Jackson.

Scott: Needs to be hung back where it belongs.

Adam: I've been wondering what happened to that. Ha ha!

Colby: With your dad back and my dad back, you know what we need?

Scott: Party! Yep. Ha ha ha!

Adam: Oh, no.

Colby: Oh, come on. It will be so much fun. It'll be a welcome-home for you, Brooke, and Uncle Stuart.

Scott: Come on. My dad's coming home from the hospital tonight. He loves a party.

Brooke: And so many people want to see Stuart.

Colby: Besides, Pine Valley -- it needs to be whooped up a little bit.

Scott: Whoop-whoop! That's right.

Adam: "Whoop." Winifred!

Scott: Yes! Whoop-whoop!

Adam: Winifred -- oh.

Winifred: Welcome home, Mr. Chandler!

Adam: Yes. Yes. I want you to unpack these boxes until you find our very best champagne.

Winifred: Mm-hmm.

Adam: The Chandlers are having a party.

Tad: Listen, no matter how badly you feel, it's not right to attack your mother like this.

Dixie: Baby, you have to know that if I could have come home, I would have, and I would've gone straight to you.

J.R.: By pushing more of Hayward's garbage that Babe's alive? It was bad enough that he said it, but for you to repeat it, for you to believe it makes it just as bad.

Dixie: Honey, don't. That's --

J.R.: No, I lost everything. Everything! Stay away from me. In fact, just stay the hell out of my life.

Dixie: Baby, come on. I don't want to lose you.

J.R.: You already have, Mom.

Tad: He's too angry, ok? This is -- something's wrong. Maybe it's time to let him go away for a while.

Dixie: I know you're right. I'm just scared.

Tad: I know, I know, but he'll be back. Ok? I promise you. And in the meantime, we still got each other, right? Together forever. That's my girl.

[Phone beeps]

Tad: Oh. This could be the news we need.

Dixie: What's that?

Tad: An invitation to a party at Chandler Mansion. Looks like the whole town's invited. And no matter how bad things are with J.R., we still have a lot to celebrate. I think we should remember that. Come on. Ok? Come on.

Opal: The Chandlers are having a welcome-home party for Adam and Brooke and -- hold on to your hat -- Stuart. David pulled another miracle rabbit out of his doctor bag.

Erica: Oh, my God. So that's what he meant about it being someone I once loved. He wasn't lying. I mean, of course, I want to see Stuart, but Jack --

Opal: Is coming to the party. I just asked Brooke.

Erica: Well, then. For once in my life, I'm grateful to Brooke English. Ok. Then all I need to do is change for the reunion.

Opal: You really think you're irresistible to him?

Erica: Yes, I am. Stay tuned.

Scott: All righty. Everyone I called is coming.

Brooke: Stuart always was good at bringing everybody together.

Angie: With so many family and friends coming back, it's like Pine Valley is being reborn.

Joe: And where's the man of the hour?

Angie: Joe! Hello, sweetheart. Ruth!

Ruth: So happy for you, my darling.

Angie: Thank you. Listen, Stuart is checking out of the hospital, but he will be here real soon.

Dixie: Oh, Brooke, do you know where Adam is? I need to talk to him.

Brooke: He's in the den.

Dixie: Oh, great.

Brooke: Here.

Ryan: Hey, everybody. Hi!

Angie: Don't you all just look beautiful.

Ryan: What do you mean, look?

Kendall: As in --

Angie: As in I can see you.

Kendall: Are you kidding me? You guys, this is unbelievable!

[Doorbell rings]

Tad: Hey, what are you doing?

Brooke: You obviously missed your flight.

Jamie: Yeah, on purpose. I ran into J.R. while I was at the airport.

Tad: So did Dixie and I.

Jamie: Then you know what kind of trouble he's in. Big trouble.

Adam's voice: I've decided that in the event of my demise, I'm gonna leave Chandler Enterprises to Scott.

Scott's voice: You've lost your wife. You've lost your son, the company, the house. Now it seems you've lost your dad's respect and money. Do you have anything else left to lose?

Pilot: Jet's on standby. Just need to update the flight plan.

J.R.: No. Leave the flight plan exactly the way it is.

Pilot: I don't understand.

J.R.: Here's 20,000 explanations. Leave it on paper as is. Got it? I've got a party to crash.

Angie: At first, I thought it was my eyes adjusting, but it's not. You're glowing. Are you pregnant?

Frankie: No.

Randi: Maybe.

Angie: Oh.

Frankie: Wait, did you just say --

Randi: I said "maybe."

Jesse: Another baby?

Amanda: See? I told you incredible things are happening.

Jake: I know. You're on it. I'm just wondering, could you not have bought a lottery ticket or something when you're having all these feelings, getting all these signs?

Amanda: This is so much better than the lottery, and you know it.

Jake: Yes.

Brot: And we have something else to add to the list.

Natalia: A little something. We're engaged.

Amanda: Oh, my God!

Jake: Are you kidding?

Brot: Not kidding. I had to. I had to. It was about time. Yeah.

Greenlee: I'm not even gonna take credit for you two getting back together.

Ryan: Good.

Madison: You know, I think I will give you a little bit of credit. Because if it weren't for you, I don't think I would've even met this great guy.

Zach: You do a good impression of a dead guy.

Griffin: You do a good impression of a guy wanting me dead.

Kendall: Want to see my impression? This is a woman who is very happy that David Hayward is out of our lives for good.

Krystal: Oh. They really invited you?

David: I didn't even know this was going on. I just need to speak with Adam.

Krystal: Ryan and Zach are in there. So if you don't want your head chewed off, I'd leave. I don't think anybody wants any trouble.

Adam: We've never seen eye to eye on parenting.

Dixie: We've never seen eye to eye on much of anything.

Adam: And yet there was a time when we both felt the need to leave this town.

Dixie: That's true. So maybe it's good J.R. left. He was so upset, I thought he was gonna explode.

Adam: Let's hope he avoided detonation.

Opal: Uh-oh. Now, don't blow a gasket.

Erica: Over Krystal? Please. I'm Erica Kane.

Jack: I thought you were on a flight to Los Angeles.

Erica: Oh, I can explain everything. Let's go somewhere where we can talk privately.

Adam: Attention, please. Attention, please. All of you, attention. Attention.

[Laughter]

Adam: We want to welcome all of you.

Brooke: Yes, we want to welcome all of you. Adam and I are thrilled to have such wonderful things to celebrate, and to be back in Pine Valley, back home.

Adam: Yes. A toast, to Pine Valley.

All: To Pine Valley!

J.R.: To Pine Valley.

Erica: So now can we go talk somewhere privately? Excuse me.

David: It's all right, Adam. Don't worry that you lost my invitation, even though Stuart is thriving today thanks to me.

Adam: Doctor, I don't know how to thank you.

David: Cash is always a good way to say "I love you."

Adam: What are you up to now?

Marian: Listen, Adam is gonna be furious with me for ruining the surprise, but they're planning a welcome-home party for you, darling. Are you sure you're up for it?

Stuart: You mean a real party with family and friends?

Marian: Yes.

Stuart: Oh, that's just what I needed. I want to ask -- find out about J.R., though.

Bianca: We're here.

Marissa: Yeah, what is so urgent?

Scott: Huh?

Marissa: Your text message said to come right away.

Scott: No, no, I didn't send you guys a text message.

David: This is gonna be a huge help for me in my next big venture. Thank you, Adam. I don't expect you to wish me well.

Adam: Good.

David: Dixie. Look, I know you're very grateful, but please restrain yourself from throwing your arms around me.

Dixie: That won't be a problem. I'm here because you said you had two more patients, one of whom is Stuart. But if the other isn't Babe, then who is she?

David: You wouldn't believe me even if I told you.

Dixie: David, listen to me. J.R. is gone, partly because you tortured him about Babe. I think I deserve to know. Who is the other person? Is it somebody that we care about?

David: Trust me, that's something you don't need to know.

Jack: So why aren't you in L.A.?

Erica: Because I had to put you first, of course. I have the perfect solution to our problem.

Jack: I'll bet it involves postponing our wedding, doesn't it?

Erica: Jack, I have arranged everything for you to come to California with me. We don't have to be separated at all, do we? You can do a lot of your legal work from out there, can't you? And, Jack, we can have every single night together.

Tad: Ok. All right. Fine. Um -- it's funny, because at a time like this, there's always so much that you want to say. There are so many people that mean so much, and you can't find the words. But I've been thinking about it, and I've come up with three: Neighbors, family, and friends. I found all of them here. It's been my home, the best years of my life -- not to mention the beautiful woman standing beside me. Here's hoping she stays there.

[Laughter]

Tad: And then again, there are all these amazing people that should be here and aren't, who deserve to be here, that have meant so much. And some of them I'm sure, sooner or later, they're gonna get around to buying a ticket home. Usually they do. And then there are others who -- who, sadly, can't. But, uh, I'd bet my life on one thing -- that if they were all here, they would remind us what a miracle this place is.

Jack: Listen to me. I have been waiting for you for 24 years, through all the other men, all the other careers, all the family issues, the personal problems. And now you choose this producer, this screenwriter, this movie over me.

Erica: That's not true at all.

Tad: You're my dear, dear friends. What would I do without you? I met you back in high school. Now -- now we all have kids that said good-bye to high school a long time ago. How the hell did that happen?

Angie: Shh.

Tad: But it's because of the love and the help of everybody, everybody in this room, because that's how Pine Valley works. Always has, always will. In tragedy and triumph, we come together. I wish the rest of my kids were here to see this, you know, because this is -- this is something to remember, folks. We'll be talking about this for a long time. But then again, I always like to think that no matter what, my family and all my children -- they're always with me. So here's how. What do you say?

Jake: Whoo!

[Applause]

Cara: Whoo!

Jack: Erica, I want roots. I want family. I want marriage. I don't want to sit alone watching you chase your dreams.

Erica: But, Jack, that's one of the reasons that you love me, because I am such a dreamer. And you've always supported me. You want to stop now?

Jack: No. No, I don't. But I can't let my dreams take a backseat to yours any longer.

Erica: Jack, we share our dreams. These are our dreams. We love each other. I am committed to you, Jackson, and no one else.

Jack: Erica, there is commitment, and then there's commitment. You don't want to get married.

[Applause]

Adam: I have one more thing, one more thing I'd like to add to make these festivities perfect. Brooke -- yes. I've been holding on to this for quite some time, unable to offer it to you. But now, with all my heart -- I ask your permission to put this on your finger.

Brooke: Ohh. Whoa.

[Laughter]

Adam: Will you marry me?

Brooke: Yes!

[Cheers and applause]

Erica: All right. Yes. I don't want to get married. As much as I want to be with you, I don't want to rush into some wedding just to reassure you that I'm not going anywhere.

Jack: Finally you admit it. I wish you the best of luck in L.A. and with the rest of your life -- without me.

Erica: Jack? Jack, wait! Jack, please don't go! I love you! I said come with me! Please don't walk out on me, Jack. I need you!

Jack: Frankly, Erica, I don't give a damn what you need.

Erica: This is not the ending I want.

Opal: Now you've done it. You'll never get him back.

Erica: Just watch me.
