Erica: Can you believe Kendall and Bianca both thought that my movie was gonna invade their privacy? As if I would do anything to hurt the people I love. Unlike J.R. I mean, I haven't seen him that out of control, that dangerous in a long time.

[Doorbell rings]

Jack: You got that?

Erica: Yeah. Kit. Hi.

Sterling: I'm sorry. I hope I'm not interrupting.

Jack: Oh, no.

Sterling: I was having some troubles with my jet at the airport. Listen, I've got some great news. I just spoke with Monk Delano, the screenwriter. I pitched him your story. He's ready to sign.

Erica: Monk Delano? Didn't he just win the Oscar last year? I mean, he's fabulous.

Sterling: He thinks you are just as fabulous.

J.R.: Showtime.

[Knocking on door]

Tad: Hey. Come on in. You missed the party. You should congratulate us. We're engaged again.

J.R.: That's great. It's about time.

Dixie: What is it, baby?

J.R.: You get the happy ending. Mom's back. You're getting married. Not all of us are so lucky.

Dixie: Did you find something out about Babe?

J.R.: She was never one of Hayward's patients. It was like losing her all over again.

Tad: Your mother swears there was another woman there with her in that lab. If it wasn't Babe, then who was it?

Adam: Is it J.R.? Is it my son?

Brooke: We had a message from Angie Hubbard about a member of our family, said it was serious.

Adam: Take me to him. Right now. Now.

Cara: This way.

David: Get the dopamine infusion up. I'll need another bag of platelets.

Cara: Mr. Chandler, please wait. There's something you should know.

Bianca: You still upset about J.R. crashing the party?

Marissa: I am. It really freaked me out. He was so angry. What if A.J. was to see that?

Bianca: I'm sure that Krystal has A.J. completely distracted.

Marissa: I know, but the threats he was making.

Bianca: J.R.'s not gonna get anywhere near A.J. or you.

Greenlee: I would like to make a toast.

Ryan: Yes. To me.

Greenlee: To friends, family, to our hosts. Not long ago, this was impossible. You guys together. But here you are. Love conquers all, even death and David Hayward.

Ryan: I'll drink to that.

Kendall: Well, I don't think this could have happened if it weren't for you guys.

Greenlee: So we have a present. A romantic weekend in New York.

Kendall: What? Oh!

Ryan: That's right.

Kendall: What? Who's gonna take care of the boys?

Bianca: Marissa and I are taking the boys home with us.

Greenlee: So get packing, because your love flight leaves very early in the morning.

Ryan: The love flight!

Kendall: Are you kidding me, you guys? This is amazing.

Greenlee: I know.

Zach: Sure you want to spend this much time with your husband alone?

Kendall: Yeah. Excuse me. I can't wait.

Ryan: Get a room.

Erica: Monk Delano. I can trust him with my life.

Jack: Well, your life story, certainly.

Sterling: But he wants you to start immediately. And how about this -- he wants you to partner with him. So he's offered you the guest house. You go out there on the coast, you stay there for a while with him. It'll give you two a chance to focus.

Jack: Tell me, Kit, what is the time frame on all this?

Sterling: 3 months.

Jack: 3 months.

Sterling: Starting today.

Erica: Ha! This is so exciting. But I do need to talk to Jackson before I make my decision.

Sterling: All right. I understand. I'll keep the jet running.

Erica: Ha!

Jack: He probably should keep that jet running, because I know you've already made your decision. You're going.

Erica: Surely, Jack, you can understand.

Jack: Yes. I do understand.

J.R.: Babe came to me. Not in a dream. In the spirit, and I felt it. She told me I would know in my heart if she was alive. She was right.

Dixie: Tad, would you just -- would you mind giving us a moment?

Tad: Yeah, sure. I'm gonna go try to find Griff, see if I can suss out what's going on.

Dixie: I am so sorry I got your hopes up about Babe.

J.R.: I've been a mess. And my father's back, and he disinherited me for my own good.

Dixie: You know how Adam likes to be.

J.R.: I don't care. I don't give a damn anymore. I'm tired of fighting, and I'm so tired of losing. I'm leaving town.

Dixie: You can't do that. No. I don't want you to go.

J.R.: Dad seems to think it's a great idea.

Dixie: Your dad has a very -- difficult way of showing you that he loves you.

J.R.: Yeah? Is this what his love creates? An alcoholic who can't hang on to his home and his family and his business?

Dixie: That's a temporary situation. You are going to get all of those things back.

J.R.: I have to do it my own way. It's better for everyone.

Dixie: What about your son? What about A.J.?

J.R.: Especially for A.J. I don't have any right to ask, especially after last time.

Dixie: You want to see him.

J.R.: Please help me. I want to say good-bye to my son.

Scott: Thank you so much for coming out with me today. I'm sure you had better things to do than pick out picture frames and bath mats.

Madison: I love doing this kind of shopping.

Scott: Really? Why?

Madison: You're making a home. It's nice. So how does it feel to finally be finished with the gatehouse?

Scott: You know -- it reminds me of something my dad said to me when I was a kid. I ran this track meet, came in dead last, and my dad, he's standing there, and he's got this big smile on, and he gives me a big hug, and he can't understand why I'm upset.

Madison: You didn't win.

Scott: Yeah, but the way my dad saw it was, winning is not always about coming in first. Sometimes it's just about -- finishing.

Madison: You saved your old home. You had a vision and you saw it through. Made it happen. I think your dad would have appreciated that.

Scott: Yeah.

Madison: I'm glad we did this. You know? It's kind of like old times.

Scott: The best times.

Madison: I used to love the sound of your key in the door. I'd get so excited.

Scott: Yeah. Gosh. That tiny, dumpy apartment with the noisy neighbors. Ha ha ha!

Madison: Yeah, but we could lock the doors and curl up on the couch and pretend like the rest of the world didn't even exist.

Scott: I would love to get back to that. Will you consider moving back in with me?

Adam: It can't be.

Griffin: David, I've tried to penetrate with dopamine but his cardiac output isn't improving.

Adam: Is this some kind of a sick joke, Hayward, because I swear to God --

David: It's not a joke, ok? I saved Stuart after he was shot, but I'm gonna lose him if you don't get out of here right now.

Griffin: BP's falling.

Adam: Someone please get him the hell out of here.

Brooke: Adam, come on.

Angie: Maybe you should sit down. Adam, that man in there saved my sight. David will save Stuart.

Cara: What happened to Stuart Chandler?

Jesse: Two years ago, he was shot dead.

Adam: I shot him. I killed my own brother.

David: 2.7 cc's exactly. Do you hear me? Too much, too little, it'll be fatal.

Griffin: No pressure.

David: I've come this far, bring back all these people, to lose the heart and soul of Pine Valley now.

[Machine beeps]

Greenlee: All right, talk to me. What's going on?

Ryan: I'm just taking it all in. Hayward finally behind bars, corporate life behind me. That being just the tip of the iceberg, really. Right? You here with me and you're not going anywhere. If you are going somewhere --

Greenlee: No, I'm not. I'm staying put. I'm staying put.

Ryan: I'm happy. I mean, deeply -- I'm deeply happy. I'm content. I'm peaceful for the first time in my life, I think. And it's because of you. I love you.

Greenlee: I love you, too. It's nice to see you so relaxed. Buddha. Ha ha! I mean, not that it's not sexy watching you save the world, but even Superman needs a break every now and again.

Ryan: Until now, I didn't really think that I deserved one.

Greenlee: Because of Jonathan and Erin? Listen, I know it killed you leaving them behind, but Ryan, your father was abusive, and you took the brunt of it. You had to leave that house.

Ryan: I know. I mean, I know that now. I just spent so much time running, running my whole life, running away from things, to things. Anything to avoid being alone with myself, with my own mind thinking. Hard to imagine that I even ran from you.

Greenlee: Well, I've bolted once or twice, you know.

Ryan: And you always came back.

Greenlee: Maybe our running days are over. Ryan?

Ryan: Hmm?

Greenlee: Do you think life gets any better than this?

Ryan: Ha! I don't know, but think of all the fun we're gonna have finding out.

Dixie: Thank you so much for bringing A.J. over. I've been really wanting to spend some time with him.

Krystal: Yeah. Listen, I didn't want to bring it up earlier, what with the engagement party and all, but there is a restraining order against J.R. Ok? He's not supposed to go anywhere near A.J. ever since he tried to take him.

Dixie: I know. I'm the one that stopped him. Remember? So -- I promise A.J.'s perfectly safe. Ok?

Krystal: Well, have fun. Bye.

Dixie: Thank you. Hey, you. Guess what. I've got a little surprise for you, but it's gotta be a big secret, ok?

A.J.: Ok.

Dixie: You can come out now.

[Machine beeping]

Brooke: Stuart will make it. He'll pull through.

Angie: It's a lot to come home to. How has he been?

Brooke: You know Adam. Master of the universe. He's been wonderful and loving, but there's this fragility. I see it when he doesn't think I'm looking. He has pain and guilt. He's never gotten over Stuart's death. And I'm just afraid if Adam loses Stuart again -- he'll never recover.

Griffin: He's in distress.

David: We've got V-tach.

[Machine beeping steadily]

David: Come on.

Jack: So you're gonna lock yourself away with this writer for months, leaving your family and your life -- our life behind.

Erica: Jack. I'll be home before we know it.

Jack: Which means we're going to have to postpone that wedding again?

Erica: No, no, no. We are gonna get married as soon as we possibly can, and we're going to have a really nice, long honeymoon.

Jack: Mm. You bet. If there's time before you start to shoot the movie.

Erica: Look, I'm sorry about the timing of this. I know it's terrible timing, but you know this has been a dream of mine since I was a little girl. I know you can understand that this is a chance of a lifetime for me.

Jack: I understand that you're Erica Kane, and there will always be chances of a lifetime, and you will take every one of them, because they make you feel safe -- safe from commitment, from marriage, from -- settling down.

Erica: That's not true.

Jack: Yes, that is true, and I'll tell you what else is true. There's always, always something more important than us. And I don't think -- I don't think I want to live that way anymore.

Erica: Jack. Jack, where are you go -- Jack. Jack. You're wrong.

J.R.: You're really kicking that game's butt, huh? It's ok for me to be here. I have to go away for a while.

A.J.: Why?

J.R.: Because I made mistakes, and I have to fix them. But I'm gonna miss you like crazy every single minute.

A.J.: I love you, Daddy.

J.R.: I love you, too. You know, if you ever -- if you ever need me, ok, you can call me for any reason. You understand?

A.J.: Like if I have a bad dream?

J.R.: Especially if you have a bad dream. I love you.

Scott: Madison, I know you just decided to give us another chance, but I want to be with you. I really, really do, and my house, it's finished. All I gotta do is throw some bath mats down and put some pictures on the wall and -- I don't want to do that without you.

Madison: It's still my favorite sound, you know. Your key in the door. I miss that. So my answer is yes, I would love to move back in with you.

Scott: Yes, yes, yes, yes.

[Cell phone chirping]

Madison: Oh, your phone keeps making noises. You should probably get it.

Scott: Sorry. Oh, my God.

Madison: What is it?

Scott: Uh, this cannot be.

Madison: Scott?

Scott: Come on. Come on, let's go.

Tad: Stuart Chandler? Stuart? I gotta see this.

Cara: You can't. He's in the ER, and David and Griffin are working on him.

Tad: What do you mean, he's in the ER? David's done it again. He's gonna be ok. He's gonna pull through, right?

Cara: Yes. They will save him.

Tad: You're still a fan, aren't you?

Cara: He performs miracles. He brings people new life, Tad.

Tad: I guess he has. And you know what? Maybe that's as it should be. Karma, payback, whatever you want to call it, because he's hurt just as many people. He's torn up just as many lives. So you might want to dial back on the hero worship.

Cara: He's given me a new life, too.

David: Again. 300.

Griffin: Clear!

David: Come on, Stuart. Come on, damn it! 300 --

Adam: I need to be in there.

Brooke: Adam, you can't.

Adam: My brother needs me.

Angie: Adam, come with me. David, stand back.

David: What are you doing?

Angie: We don't have enough time.

David: You're right we don't have time. I'm the only one who can save him right now.

Angie: Stuart needs something that you can't give him.

David: You don't know what you're talking about.

Angie: He needs his twin, the other half of his heart. Adam is Stuart's only hope. Griff.

Adam: It's me, Stuart. Adam. Your brother.

Adam's voice: I swore on our mother's grave that I would protect you forever.

Stuart's voice: What you did to us -- it -- it had nothing to do with love, Adam.

Adam's voice: We're brothers, damn it. I need you. I need you in my life. I love you, Stuart. I love you. Please.

Adam: I love you, and I need you. I really do. Please, please. Come back to me. Come back to me. I need you.

[Machine beeping]

Adam: Stuart. [Sniffles]

Stuart: Adam.

Kendall: Well, Marissa and Bianca are wrangling the kids' clothes and toys and getting everything together.

Zach: Come here. I'm glad we're going. Got some big plans for our romantic getaway.

Kendall: Yeah? Like a hockey game, with some hot dogs and beer? Should I pack your jersey?

Zach: Only if you promise to wear it.

Kendall: I promise to take it off. You like that? Is that good for you?

Zach: Go Red Wings.

Kendall: Ha ha!

Erica: Oh, good. You're here.

Kendall: Yeah. A little busy here. That's ok. What, did you forget something?

Erica: Monk Delano wants to write my screenplay. Monk Delano. And he wants my help. Can you imagine having that kind of creative input? I mean, it's fantastic. And you would think that Jack would be absolutely thrilled for me, but instead he's being so stubborn. He's being actually paranoid. He's being ridiculous. And did I mention stubborn?

Bianca: Twice. What are you talking about?

Zach: Oh. That's my phone.

Kendall: Don't -- really?

Erica: Ok. I have this amazing chance to work with Monk Delano, one of the greatest screenwriters in the business, ever. And Jack should be so happy for me, but instead he's being completely ridiculous.

Kendall: Mom, I don't think Jack is being ridiculous at all, actually. Every time the two of you get close to walking down the aisle, something always happens.

Erica: Bianca, would you please talk to your sister and explain to her what a rare opportunity this is?

Bianca: I'm with Kendall on this one. Just let the screenwriter do the writing. You should stay here and add a new ending to your movie: Marrying Uncle Jack.

Erica: That's how you see my marrying Jack? As an ending?

Tad: A baby?

Cara: A baby. It's crazy, yes? But good crazy? Something I thought might never happen is happening.

Tad: Does David --

Cara: Does he know? I knew you were gonna ask me that. I'm glad I told him, actually, I am, so no lectures.

Tad: No lectures. I know how badly you wanted kids, and I know how much you deserve them. Because I know what an incredible mother you're gonna be. And what the hell? If anybody can slap Hayward around, it's gotta be you.

Cara: You think I'm gonna be an incredible mother?

Tad: I'd bet 30 years of my life on it.

Adam: Stuart? You're home again, Stuart, where you belong.

Jesse: You did that. You know, that was you. You knew what Stuart needed to bring him back.

Angie: Medicine can save lives, but only love and faith make miracles.

Scott: Hey. Brooke. I just got these crazy text messages on my phone. It said my dad is alive. Is that true?

Angie: Go see for yourself, Scott.

Greenlee: Listen.

Ryan: What am I listening to?

Greenlee: No phones, no texts, no drama, just peace and quiet.

Ryan: Are you craving a little action?

Greenlee: No, I'm good.

Ryan: Ha ha!

Greenlee: Just promise me that it'll always be like this. Drama-free.

Ryan: I can't promise that. I guess what I could do is I could return these.

Greenlee: Did you get us a ride on the space shuttle?

Ryan: No, I got tickets to the circus.

Greenlee: Circus is in town?

Ryan: Yeah. We promised each other a surprise a day. Want to keep that promise. They even have a trapeze artist.

Greenlee: As amazing as the Green Butterfly?

Ryan: Substantially better than the Green Butterfly.

Greenlee: Ha ha ha!

Erica: Look, I love Jack. I love him with all my heart. I will marry him, but I'm not gonna make that an ending to anything. I'm also not gonna compromise my lifelong dreams and my goals just to put a ring on my finger.

Kendall: Mom, maybe that's the reason you always have to take a ring off your finger so many times.

Erica: Kendall, I have wanted to be in the movies since I was a little girl. Now I have the chance to live it, and you want me to turn it down?

Kendall: No, Mom, absolutely not. Not turn it down, just adjust. Isn't it enough that you're co-producing and starring in the movie?

Erica: I did not become Erica Kane because I was willing to settle for enough or anything, for that matter. I'm not about to do that now. I made up my mind a long time ago that I was going to have it all, and I will.

Kendall: Even if it costs you Jack?

Erica: Ok, Jack knows who I am, and Jack knows what I need, and Jack has always supported me. I'm sure once he has a chance to think about this, then he's gonna support me on this, too.

Bianca: Maybe it's time to support what Uncle Jack wants.

Erica: You mean greet him at the front door with a little apron around my waist handing him his little slippers? I don't think so. What is wrong with you? And how is it even possible that the people who supposedly love me the most want me to give up on my lifelong dreams?

Kendall: Mom, do what you have to do, but at least be honest why you're doing it, for your sake and for Jack's.

Scott: Hi.

Stuart: Scott.

Scott: Hi.

Angie: You saved another life. I'm so proud of you.

David: He's alive because you knew what he needed.

Angie: You knew it, too.

Jesse: Hey, bringing Stuart back like that, I gotta hand it to you. But unfortunately, that is not a "Get Out of Jail Free" card. You gotta go.

David: There you go.

Stuart: Scott. Scott.

Brooke: Stuart came back because of you. You saved your brother.

Adam: No. Stuart saved me.

Dixie: I hated lying to him.

J.R.: Everybody lies to get what they want.

Dixie: Are you lying to me, J.R.?

Erica: Oh, my goodness! What is all this? Hi!

Kendall: Well, we are getting ready to go to New York in the morning for a nice little getaway, compliments of Greenlee and Ryan.

Zach: Something about romance.

Erica: Well, that's a wonderful idea.

Marissa: Yeah, Bianca and I are gonna watch the boys.

Kendall: Thank you.

Bianca: Maybe we should go finish packing?

Kendall: Guys, let's go march right back in and let's go pack. You guys can all help me. I need some helpers here. Let's go, march. I need help.

Zach: Problem solved?

Erica: Problem will be solved. What?

Zach: I remember when I met you in Vegas. Boy, what a mess, but I liked you anyway.

Erica: Well, I didn't like you at all. I do a little bit now.

Zach: Hmm. We're not that different. I'm taller and better looking, but just as stubborn. We know what we want.

Erica: Yes, we do know what we want. It's true. How dare anybody tell us that our dreams don't count.

Zach: Dreams do count. And you never abandoned yours. I respect that. Don't change.

Scott: Marian? Hi. I have great news.

Marian: Yeah, what? They have rebuilt Oak Haven? I am not crazy, Scott. You know that. It's just the grief about Stuart. I can't live without him. I can't eat. I can't breathe. I can't sleep. He was the best person I've ever known in my entire life.

Scott: And he still is.

Marian: And he was the best gentleman that Pine Valley has ever seen. You can ask anybody. He was just -- what did you just say to me?

Scott: My father, he's -- he's still alive.

Adam: Two years without my conscience. And now you're back.

Stuart: What's wrong?

Adam: David didn't tell you everything. I was the one who shot you.

Stuart: You what?

Adam: Yeah. I was out of my mind, drugged out of my mind. I hated myself, wished myself dead at least 1,000 times. But I don't deserve your forgiveness.

Stuart: There's nothing to forgive. No.

Adam: Oh.

Cara: I knew you'd save him.

Tad: What is up with you? You were treating Stuart in his lab?

Griffin: Yes, for one day.

Tad: Well, all loyalty and good judgment aside, Dixie's been going on and on, over and over again that there was another patient there, a female patient with her.

Griffin: No, no. Stuart was the only patient that I saw there. If there was a female one, I have no idea who that is.

J.R.: I'm not lying to you about anything. My bags are packed. I'm leaving town.

Dixie: You're keeping something from me.

J.R.: What? No, I'm fine.

Dixie: No, you're anything but fine.

[Phone rings]

J.R.: You probably should get that.

Dixie: No, J.R., please. I want to finish --

J.R.: It's important, I'm sure.

[Ring]

[Door closes]

Dixie: Hello?

Tad: Dixie, I hope you're sitting down, 'cause you're not gonna believe this. Stuart Chandler is alive. It turns out that he was the patient that Griffin Castillo was treating.

Dixie: My God. Stuart. J.R.! J.R.!

J.R.: [Holds up his gun] Don't worry, Mom. This will take care of everything.
