Jesse: Hey.
Angie: You're crying.
Jesse: No, I'm just packing up the crib, baby.
Angie: Stop lying, Jesse Hubbard. You were crying. I can see it.
David: I don't know when I'm gonna get out of prison, but this can't wait any longer. All I'm asking from you is to do what you do. Make a person healthy and send them home to their family.
Krystal: That room's taken, but I'm sure we can find an empty cell for you around here.
J.R.: I'm busy.
Krystal: Yeah, so I heard, from A.J. taking a little adventure? I think the legal term for it is "kidnapping," but I'm sure there's somebody around here we can ask.
J.R.: You and Marissa and Bianca really think that you can keep me from seeing my son?
Krystal: We don't think, J.R. We know. Marissa is in court right now, and that ink is just about dry on the restraining order. You're not going anywhere near A.J. for a long, long time.
Liza: To good behavior, although I don't know how that man, or really any man for that matter, could behave himself for 18 months.
Cara: Sorry?
Liza: Oh, no, I'm sorry. Obviously, you don't know. I had an attorney friend of mine arrange a plea bargain for David Hayward. In 18 months, he'll get out if he's a really good boy, although I'm not quite sure what his incentive is. It's not like he's got somebody waiting for him on the outside.
Cara: There will be soon. I'm carrying David's baby.
Jesse: You can see me?
Angie: I can see you. I can see your handsome face. Oh, God, Jesse, I've missed you so much.
Jesse: We should call somebody. We should call your eye doc.
Angie: We will, we will, but just let me look at you for a minute. Let me be happy that the first thing I'm seeing is you.
Jesse: This is amazing. This is amazing. Look how beautiful. Let me look at you. Let me look into those eyes of yours. There you are.
Angie: Oh, you know, everything of Lucy's was so small in my mind. Now it's like it's larger than life.
Jesse: Maybe we should just put this away, ok? I'll finish putting it up.
Angie: Jesse, I have someone that I need to see.
Jesse: Hayward.
Angie: Please don't try to stop me.
Jesse: Angela, I will drive you.
Angie: Thank you!
Maya: If I was right by letting her go, then how is me taking her back to the Hubbards wrong now?
Colby: Listen, what you have is real and natural. You guys light each other up. And the connection that you have, it goes beyond anything that you say or anything that you do.
Maya: I'm just scared. Before when I had to make decisions, it was just me, you know?
Colby: Mm-hmm.
Maya: Now I'm making decisions for her, and, Colby, I don't want to make any more wrong ones.
Colby: Call Angie.
[Lucy babbling]
Colby: I know that the Hubbards would love to have both of you back.
Randi: Champagne!
Frankie: Maybe the groom-to-be would like to do the honors, huh?
Natalia: Oh, you guys. I'm sorry. Can we not do this?
Frankie: Oh. You on duty, Detective?
Natalia: No, we just wanted to kind of keep it low-key.
Frankie: Are we planning a wedding or a funeral here?
Randi: Frankie's right. You need to loosen it up.
Brot: Come on, guys. We were just talking, and we think that because Jesse and Angie have been through so much that maybe flowers and a big wedding is just too much for them right now.
Randi: You're wrong. I think it's exactly what Angie and Jesse need right now.
Frankie: Yeah, maybe what you guys have will rub off on them. My mom's a sucker for weddings. You need to have it at her place.
Brot: No, no.
Natalia: No way.
Frankie: Right now, that loft is all about who's not there.
Natalia: Losing Ellie and Lucy --
Randi: Is big. And no one's gonna forget about that. But what we're trying to say is that you guys have the opportunity to take Angie and Jesse's home from a place of loss back to a place of love again.
Cara: If you're gonna make a case against allowing David access to his child, you're gonna have to wait in line.
Liza: I am hardly in a position to judge anybody's parenting abilities. I'm gonna take the fifth.
Cara: If he somehow finds a "Get Out of Jail Free" card or if he spends the rest of his life behind bars, I'm raising this baby on my own.
Liza: Careful what you ask for.
Cara: So, what's the hardest part?
Liza: The hardest part is when your child does something so ordinary and amazing, like writing their name for the first time, and all you want to do is turn to somebody and say, "Hey, look what they just did." There's nobody there. Children are all about being in the moment, and it's really nice to -- have someone to share those moments with, even if it's someone like David Hayward.
Cara: Do you think it would be a mistake to keep this child away from him?
Liza: David -- he loves his children. And sometimes, like all of us, he doesn't always do the best job at it. Listen, I would wish you luck with David, but there's just not enough of that in this world.
David: Cara told me she's having my baby.
Griffin: You have no idea how lucky you are that we're in a police station.
David: Always the big brother, always looking out. Well, that's exactly what I'm doing for my patient.
Griffin: Playing God is your deal, not mine.
David: You're right. I did go above the law -- both man's and God's -- and it's about to cost me my freedom. But this person, their loved ones, shouldn't have to pay for my crimes.
J.R.: We can talk about this later.
Krystal: Is there something more important than your son?
J.R.: His mother.
Krystal: Marissa doesn't have anything to do --
J.R.: A.J.'s real mother. David is keeping Babe alive.
Krystal: That isn't true.
J.R.: Yeah. He's already admitted to having two other people hidden. My mother saw a blonde patient. He's keeping Babe away from me.
Krystal: If Babe was alive --
J.R.: There's no "if" about it. It has to be her. It has to be Babe.
Griffin: This isn't going to happen.
David: Ok, you can run from this, Dr. Castillo, but I know you. You're a man of conscience. My hands are tied. So, if you don't act on this, this person's blood is on yours.
Krystal: Wait. Come on.
J.R.: Get off me! What are you doing? David probably told his buddy Castillo where Babe is.
Cop: Is there a problem?
Marissa: Yes, yes, there is. I have a restraining order against this man.
J.R.: I guess nobody would care if I leave, then.
Cop: You're not going anywhere till we sort this thing out.
Cara: Hey, there you are.
Griffin: When I'm gone --
Cara: Yeah?
Griffin: I mean really gone, I don't want anybody bringing me back.
Cara: Ok, you've talked to David, and you were upset that I told him about the baby.
Griffin: I'm not. He gave me a name, someone from Orpheus he wants me to treat, bring home.
Cara: Ok. Great. When do we start?
Griffin: We don't.
Cara: What?
Griffin: I told him no.
Cara: You can't do that.
Maya: You and your mom already took me in with a baby. I can't be treating you like some hotel and coming and going on a whim.
Liza: Yeah, those were my thoughts exactly. I just came back from the house. I thought I was gonna see you there. You had me worried sick.
Maya: I'm sorry. I was just taking Lucy for a walk. I told Colby.
Liza: If you're gonna be in my house, you're gonna have to follow my rules. That means you tell me where you're going, who you're with, and when you're coming back.
Maya: Ok. I'm sorry.
Liza: I'm sure that the Hubbards have made it all easy and perfect for you, but what you and this baby need is a little bit of discipline, so you're going to have to have a curfew.
Maya: A curfew?
Liza: Yes. 8:00.
Colby: 8:00.
Maya: I'm taking classes that go later than that.
Liza: Well, you're gonna have to get earlier classes, because you go to sleep when Lucy goes to sleep.
Maya: I don't think that's necessary.
Liza: Well, you don't have to stay. Nobody's forcing you.
Maya: Ok, you're right.
Colby: Um --
Maya: I'm sorry, Colby.
Colby: Maya --
Liza: Let her go.
Colby: Ok, what is wrong with you?
Liza: Honey, nothing, for a change. This is actually your mother doing the right thing.
Natalia: I can't do that to Angie. We cannot just take the chance of putting a burden on her.
Frankie: My mom would not see it like that. You don't even --
Natalia: We don't know if she'll see at all. What if the surgery didn't work? I pray that it does, but what if it didn't? I can't ask Angie, who's been like a mother to me, to just host this whole huge event and just sit there in the dark.
Frankie: You don't.
Brot: Come on, guys. We've made our decision.
Jesse: Hey, guys. Talking about the wedding?
Natalia: Yeah.
Jesse: Well, there's only one place to have it. And we won't take no for an answer.
Randi: See?
Natalia: Dad --
Jesse: I heard what you were saying, and you're right. Your mother would never admit this out loud, but she would hate to have to sit there and not be able to see you in your beautiful wedding dress about to get all married up to this one.
Natalia: Well, I want that, too, more than anything.
Jesse: Well, then, I guess I'm here with an early wedding present, because your mother has got her sight back.
Natalia: What?
Frankie: Are you serious?
Natalia: Are you serious?
Jesse: She can see again.
Brot: What?
Natalia: Ha ha ha! Yes!
David: Angie.
Angie: You look surprised to see me.
David: No, I was just -- I was hoping you were Griffin Castillo returning with a change of heart. Wait a minute. How did you know how I look? Was it something in my voice?
Angie: No. Your face. I'm not blind anymore. Dr. Hayward, you made me see again.
Cop: Consider yourself served. Keep your distance.
J.R.: I hope you're happy. You may have cost me my only chance of finding Babe.
Marissa: What?
Krystal: J.R. thinks David kept Babe alive. He was getting ready to follow Griffin Castillo to some hideaway, but I got in his way.
J.R.: That's the difference between you and me, Krystal. I don't give up on my kids. I do whatever it takes.
Marissa: Listen, J.R., read the restraining order. I don't want to use it, but if you come anywhere near A.J., I will do whatever it takes to protect my son.
J.R.: What's that? That sounds an awful lot like a threat. If it is, Marissa, I hope you have a lot more than just a piece of paper to back it up.
David: This is extraordinary.
Angie: Wait a minute, now. Don't tell me that the great David Hayward had any doubts about his ability to deliver another medical miracle.
David: We did it, Angie. I'm very happy for you. I truly am. Thank you.
Angie: You're thanking me?
David: Yes, I am. For coming here -- and sharing this moment with me.
Angie: Something happened. When Griff was here?
David: Yes, I -- I gave him the name of someone I have, a patient I asked him to bring back.
Angie: David, you did the right thing, and Dr. Castillo will do the same thing. Life is a gift that we're given, and most of us don't get a second chance. First person I saw was my Jesse.
David: So, you forgave him?
Angie: What good are your eyes if you can't see what's right in front of you? I thought that I was alone in the dark, and now I know that Jesse was with me the whole time.
Marissa: I am not afraid of you, J.R.
J.R.: You should be.
Krystal: We will take you down if we have to.
Marissa: You're just a drunk and a bully.
Krystal: And bullies are cowards.
J.R.: We'll see who's running scared soon as I get Babe back. And she and I will get A.J., and we'll be a family again. You go ahead. You try to find the judge that will keep a boy away from his biological parents.
Jesse: Hey.
Maya: Hey.
Jesse: How you doing?
Maya: Good. Just resting my eyes.
Jesse: Yeah. Good, good. So, how are things at Liza's?
Maya: Great.
Jesse: Good. Mind if I give her a little --
Maya: Of course.
Jesse: Such a good little baby. Unbelievable.
Maya: She is.
Jesse: She gets that from somewhere, you know. Listen, I want to apologize for being so rough on you when I first found out the truth.
Maya: You did it to protect Angie.
Jesse: Yeah, well. Doing something wrong to make it right -- is still wrong.
Maya: How's she doing? Is she ok?
Jesse: Can't lie to you. She misses you and the baby.
Maya: I miss her, too.
Jesse: You gotta get by as soon as you can, because we got some news.
Maya: Can Angela see again?
Jesse: It looks like it.
Maya: Oh! I'm so happy for you and for her.
Jesse: Oh, man, yeah.
Maya: We'll definitely come by.
Jesse: Don't make yourself a stranger, ok? Angela's definitely wanting -- she's gonna wanna see the smile on this beautiful little baby's face.
Griffin: Cara, I didn't ask for any of this.
Cara: I understand, but sometimes we don't get what we want in life. But this isn't who you are. You do not walk away from a patient.
Griffin: Ok, now you sound like David, and I don't want either of us to have anything to do with the man.
Cara: It's a little late for that, Griff, don't you think?
Griffin: No. I don't. I think you and I could grab a flight. We could throw a couple things in a bag and leave Pine Valley behind.
Cara: You know what, this place has taken us in. It's our home now. These people are a part of our lives. I don't know who David is holding, but whoever that person is is someone's husband or sister or child. And I get it. You didn't ask for this, but you have the chance to bring that person home to people who love them. Or you can get on that flight.
Jesse: Babe?
Angie: I'm ok.
Jesse: Why are you sitting here in the dark?
Angie: I just don't want to forget where I was.
Jesse: Where I put us, you mean. I know I should never have --
Angie: Shh. Listen. All this time, I've been trying to figure out how to forgive you, but now I see what I really need is for you to forgive me.
Jesse: You have nothing to be sorry for. Angela, I lied to you. I took away the chance for you to grieve for our little girl.
Angie: No. That's what I did. I wouldn't let you hold me any of those times I cried, but you never, ever left my side, not until long after my tears were gone. For the first time today, I saw you cry, and it made me see how selfish I've been.
Jesse: You sel -- no, Babe.
Angie: Jesse, seeing the pain in your face, it hit me. All I've been thinking about are the babies that I lost, not the husband who took on my grief and his because he loved me that much.
Jesse: That's nothing. I would do anything for you.
Angie: And I want you to know that I see that now. I want you to know that I see that it was your love that made all the decisions that you made, and I thank you for that.
Jesse: I'm so sorry that we lost her.
Angie: Me too. And I'm even more sorry that I lost us and who we are and how we love.
Jesse: We found it.
Angie: And I'm never taking my eyes off of it again.
Frankie: A toast to my mom, to her determination and guts, also to the look in her eyes when she sees how happy she's made us all.
Brot: Well put. To Angie.
Natalia: Here's to them.
Frankie: Drink to that.
Randi: Mm-hmm.
Frankie: Mmm.
Natalia: It's strong.
Frankie: Tasty.
Natalia: Now let's plan a wedding.
Randi: Yes, ma'am. You know what, with all my contacts from Fusion, we are gonna get you a killer dress.
Natalia: Sweet!
Brot: Well, besides that, I think we should write our own vows.
Natalia: Oh!
Randi: Let's take this party over to Angie's. Frankie?
Frankie: I think my mom and dad could use a little more one-on-one time. Just --
Randi: Baby.
Frankie: Hey, if I went blind and then I opened my eyes, and I saw you there, I wouldn't want a whole bunch of people knocking on my door until I saw all of you.
Randi: My dirty husband.
Natalia: Oh!
Brot: That's your brother.
David: Hi.
Cara: Hi. Long time no see.
David: Yeah. I thought we said all there was to say.
Cara: Yeah, me too. But you said something to my brother, gave him the name of a patient that you wanted him to bring back.
David: Yes, I did, and he turned me down. Your brother wants nothing to do with me or my work.
Cara: Well, he was wrong. I was wrong. I want this baby to know their father.
David: Even though he's a man like me?
Cara: Especially because he's a man like you.
Angie: We owe David big-time. You hate that, don't you?
Jesse: I will live with it.
Jesse: You blushing?
Angie: You're kind of making me feel like a teenager.
Jesse: Ha ha! Yeah, kind of takes you back, huh?
Angie: This couch is really comfortable, you know.
Jesse: Yeah, it is.
Angie: Ooh.
Jesse: Come here.
[Knock on door]
Jesse: I don't believe this.
Angie: No.
Jesse: Go away. I'm locked up.
Angie: Ha ha!
Jesse: I'll be right back.
Angie: Maya! And Lucy!
Maya: Hi, Angie!
Angie: Oh, my God. Get over here. Let me look at the two of you! Ahh! Hi! Hi, Moo Moo.
Maya: Say hi.
Angie: Maya, you are so beautiful.
[Lucy babbling]
Angie: And Miss Lucy is just the way I pictured her. Look at you.
Maya: Do you want to hold her?
Angie: Yeah.
Maya: She wants you to.
Angie: Come here, Moo Moo. Oh, my goodness. You've gotten so big and heavy. You're gonna be walking and talking before we know it, won't you? Won't you, big girl?
Maya: Jesse told me the news. I really hope that it's ok that we came by.
Angie: You know our door is always open to you and this precious angel. The two of you can visit whenever you like. Want to go back to Mommy?
Jesse: Maya said that things are going really great with Colby and Liza.
Maya: Yeah. They're good. It's not home. I know that I shouldn't ask this, but --
Angie: Maya? It's like I said, that door is always open to the two of you. And if you and Lucy want to walk back through it and live here again -- nothing would make Jesse and I happier. Jesse.
Jesse: Absolutely.
David: You've heard all about my record as a parent.
Cara: I have. People change, David. You're just gonna have to step it up a bit.
David: And here I thought the world was lacking optimists.
Cara: Actually, it's not about me being optimistic. The truth is, all of my life I've made decisions based on the fact that my father wasn't around. I don't want this baby spending their entire life staring at doors just -- wondering if Daddy's gonna come home. Don't think I'm not gonna hold you to a high standard.
David: After all these years, it's something I might welcome.
Cara: Ok.
David: Ok.
Cara: Maybe I'll come visit you from time to time. Someone's gotta keep an eye on you.
David: I hope to see you soon.
Cara: Bye.
David: Bye.
[Griffin goes to the Project Orpheus lab and begins to walk away but can't do it]
Marissa: I have never seen J.R. like that. He was so angry. It's like he was --
Krystal: Adam?
Marissa: Do you really think that there's a chance that Babe could be alive?
Krystal: I wish I could believe she could come back, but it just hurt so much to lose her that I just -- I can't chance praying for a miracle that isn't gonna happen. And the way J.R. is right now, I don't think even Babe could say that.
Man: I keep holding on to you just can't bring myself to the truth that you were gone long before you left me I couldn't find you in a lasting rain I keep looking --
[Cocks gun]
For you
Colby: Mom, guess what. Maya, she's back at the Hubbards.
Liza: Oh, see? That's great news.
Colby: Yeah. And it gets even better. Angie got her sight back. It's amazing.
Colby: Mom, are you crying?
Liza: Yeah.
Colby: Oh, ok.
Liza: I don't know. It's like Angie and Jesse finally get what they deserve, you know.
Colby: Yeah.
Liza: It's a happy ending.
Colby: Mm-hmm.
Liza: And Maya and Lucy, too.
Colby: There's still a chance for us, too, you know.
Liza: You think?
Colby: I know.
Maya: I have to admit, it was so hard doing it alone.
Angie: But you're not alone, as long as you have family. And that's what we are to you, whether you like it or not. And we will do whatever we can to help you stay independent. Won't we, Jesse?
Jesse: Absolutely.
Angie: So, I want you and Lucy to consider this your home.
Maya: I honestly don't even know what to say. I can't wait. I can't wait.
Randi: Hey!
Frankie: Do I look as good as you remember? Ohh!
Angie: Well, almost. Randi.
Randi: My God, this is amazing.
Angie: Oh, Natalia. It's so wonderful to see you again.
Natalia: I missed you. You're beautiful. Hi.
Brot: This handsome face.
Angie: Ha ha!
Natalia: Oh, I have something for you to see.
Angie: Ok.
Natalia: Wedding invitations. When you get a chance, could you help me pick one out?
Brot: You mean us?
Natalia: I mean us pick one out?
Angie: I got you.
Brot: We've already started the celebration, but we saved you another bottle of the good stuff.
Natalia: Yes --
Jesse: Ah! I was wondering when you were gonna bring that up. All right, here we go.
Angie: Listen, make sure you get some juice --
Maya: I'm on it.
Angie: Ok. Great. For Maya, so that she can toast her and Lucy being back home.
Randi: You're staying?
Maya: Yes.
Randi: It's amazing.
Jesse: All right, hold on. All right, who's this?
Randi: Thank you.
Jesse: All right, everybody got?
Angie: Oh, gotta --
Jesse: Everybody got?
Angie: Catch my bearings here.
Randi: Got it.
Jesse: A toast. To my beautiful wife. I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to seeing you cut them eyes at me again.
Angie: All right, if you're going to joke, I'm going to drink.
Jesse: All right, all right. I'll get it right. I'll get it right. Ok? Here's to my beautiful wife, who has surrounded me with an incredible family and filled an incredible home with so much love, not only today, yesterday. Always. Cheers.
Randi: Hear hear!
Frankie: Hear hear.
[Glasses clink]
Natalia: Cheers. I love you, guys.
Angie: Frankie, let me get it. I want to get all of your beautiful faces. All right. All right, Brot. Back.
Natalia: Fix your hair, Babe.
Angie: Hurry up, hurry up, come on.
Brot: My hair?
Angie: I need --
[Object drops to floor]
Angie: All right, don't tear up the house now. I need the two of you closer together. Come on. All right, come on. All right, give me those gorgeous Hubbard faces.
Singer: Turn around I'm still the one that is holding your hand --
Angie's voice: Jesse, you're too much.
Jesse's voice: You ain't gonna make this too easy for me, right? Will you marry me, Angie?
Singer: That you count on, count on me for everything. You and I never know how to surrender I know we did it all to --
Doctor's voice: 3, 2, 1!
Singer: This is just the beginning it only gets better I just want to stay --
Angie's voice: Jesse!
Singer: Long as the world is spinning around, around, I promise that I won't let you down, down. No, we'll never hit the ground. Our love will last forever. Turn around, I'm still standing by your side, and I'll be there for a lifetime. There's no way I could ever change. I just want to stay here forever as long as the world is spinning around, around --
Tad's voice: We have our winners!
Singer: Promise that I won't let you down, down. No, we'll never hit the ground. Our love will last forever. Everyone who said we'd be over, we've turned them into believers
Frankie: I do, Randi.
Man: I just want to stay here forever, long as the world is spinning around, around. I promise that I won't let you down, down. Mo, we'll never hit the ground
Natalia: The queen has arrived. Cheese!
