Angie: I am pretty sure -- no. In fact, I would swear that Tennyson never rhymed "bluish" and "fluish."

Tad: Shows you what you know. It's a tough crowd. This stuff kills at home.

Angie: Oh. So Cara appreciates your unique sense of humor?

Tad: Oh, yeah. She loves me.

Angie: Really, Tad?

Cara: What are you doing here?

Jake: The hospital has a program. It's for the supplies here for this clinic.

Cara: Ok. Thanks.

Jake: This tent is --

Cara: It's standard D.W.B. issue.

Jake: Yeah?

Cara: Yeah.

Jake: It's just so --

Cara: Déja vu?

Jake: Yes. It's -- ahem -- like you and me all over again.

Brot: So what's going on, Chief? Is it about the baby?

Jesse: No, no. The baby's fine.

Brot: How are you doing?

Jesse: Ahh. I made peace with what had to be done. I'm moving on.

Brot: I heard that. So what's the problem?

Jesse: Oh, there's no problem. It's just that the family's growing, and we decided to get another car, and we thought we might give the old one to you, if you want it.

Brot: Are you serious?

Jesse: Yeah. All that traveling back and forth to see Natalia? And let's face it. Your hooptie is about on its deathbed, right?

Brot: Ha ha ha!

Jesse: On top of everything else, I owe you.

Kendall: So have you talked to Mom?

Bianca: No. I wanted to give her some time with Uncle Jack.

Kendall: Ok. Good. So we're gonna head over there and get the boys.

Bianca: Just family, right? Nobody else?

Kendall: Nope.

Bianca: He's not here, is he?

Kendall: God, no. Are you kidding me? I wouldn't let him spend the night.

Bianca: I couldn't sleep last night just thinking about you and Ricky. It is such a dangerous game you're playing with a murderer.

Kendall: Binks, I know who Ricky is, ok? I can handle him.

Bianca: Yeah, so can I. I'm doing this with you.

Erica: Oh, my God. Did I dream it, or --

Jane: Pretty good, right?

Erica: You even sound a little like me.

Jane: I can do better if I need to.

Erica: What is going on here? What the hell is going on?

Jane: I'm Erica Kane. I can't believe that I did this. I am Erica Kane. Oh, whoo-hoo! Ha ha!

Jack: Good morning, Sleeping Beauty. How you feeling? Did you have a good night's sleep?

Jane: Oh, Jack. I haven't slept like this in such a long time.

Jack: Good.

Jane: I slept like a baby. I mean, now that I'm safe at home -- to tell you the truth, I feel like a totally new person. When these horrible people, when they were holding me prisoner -- I will tell you, I just kept myself sane by thinking of this, about thinking of being here with you at home, safe at home. And now here you are, and here I am. This is like a dream come true. Mmm.

Angie: Jesse and I don't keep secrets. I know you married Cara to keep her in the country.

Tad: Then I'm sure, as my best friends, you also know how important it is that people think it's real.

Angie: I don't know how it looks, but it sounds very real to me.

Tad: How do you know I'm not just a happy-go-lucky guy?

Angie: I understand why you try to deny. It's your brother's ex-wife. But, Tad, I don't want you to get hurt.

Tad: You and everybody else. Seems like everybody I know these days is worried about me and how I feel. And I got to be honest, Angela. Considering everything that's going on, it's the last thing I need.

Angie: Is that because Cara doesn't share your feelings?

Tad: No. It's because Cara still has feelings for Jake.

Cara: I actually like being here, because it's comforting. It's familiar.

Jake: It is that. It even smells the same.

Cara: Yeah -- minus Mr. Bilby, of course.

Jake: Oh, my God, Mr. Bilby. I forgot all about Mr. Bilby.

Cara: How could you forget about him?

Jake: Whatever happened to Mr. Bilby?

Cara: What happened? The farmer. I gave him to the farmer. We "gifted him" to the farmer. Thank you, by the way.

Jake: No problem.

Cara: Let's just say it was officially the worst gift that I ever received.

Jake: Now, hold on a second. You do what you can when you can't find a jewelry store in Southern Sudan.

Cara: Yeah, and it's how I became the proud owner of a 100-pound baby wild African ass.

Jake: Equus Africanus is the donkey. Just call him a donkey.

Cara: A 100-pound sick donkey.

Jake: That's right. You nursed him back to health. You were very -- and I remember when you had that moment and you slipped with the -- you fell with the saddle that didn't -- we can't do this.

Cara: We're not doing anything.

Jake: Yeah, we are. We are doing it.

Cara: Remembering -- you think that's a bad thing?

Jake: Yeah, I do, because it's turning into not just memories for me.

[Knock on door]

Ricky: Hello?

Kendall: Hey.

Ricky: Hi. I just stopped by to see how your mom's doing.

Kendall: Well, Jackson said that she's doing ok. She -- on the mend. She slept through the night, which is good. I'm sure she must be exhausted.

Ricky: Hmm. That is good. Actually, you look like you could use some rest yourself.

Bianca: Yes. Yeah, my sister has been through a lot lately.

Ricky: Which is why I'm here.

Jane: Ohh! I want to go out. Can we go out somewhere?

Jack: Honey, I'd really like to see you take another day for yourself, get some rest.

Jane: Oh, no, I don't want to rest. I have so much I want to do.

Jack: Erica, you were in an explosion.

Jane: I know. We were both in an explosion, but everybody's fine. Everybody's not fine?

Jack: No. Asher.

Jane: Asher. Caleb's son.

Jack: Right. He was pinned by a beam. The doctors don't know what kind of injuries he's actually sustained. It'll take a while before they know.

Jane: Oh. Jack, I never meant for anybody to be hurt in the rescue.

Jack: Of course not. Erica, this wasn't your fault. Nobody blames you. Everybody is just very, very happy to have you home, especially me. What are you looking at?

Jane: Oh. I just can't believe that I'm here in this beautiful penthouse -- my home with my things, and you. I just can't believe that I'm here with you. I'm gonna appreciate every single second.

Jack: Good. I do have a couple things you're not going to appreciate, one being the crowd of reporters waiting outside.

Jane: Reporters? Really? How many?

Jack: Lots and lots and lots. And of course, the police guard.

Jane: The police? Why are the police here?

Jack: Honey, you were kidnapped, remember? We got you back without paying the ransom. It would be my guess they're here to protect you.

[Phone rings]

Jack: Ah. Hello? Hi, Jesse. No, I actually think she would be up for that, yeah. All right. We'll see you soon. That was Jesse. The police have a few questions for you.

Erica: Where's Jackson? I know if Jack was here, he wouldn't leave without me. If you hurt him -- answer me. Why don't you answer me? No, I don't want food, damn it! I want answers.

Jesse: So you never got even a glimpse of your kidnappers?

Jane: No. They knocked me out.

Jesse: In St. Barts?

Jane: And when I woke up, I was in a strange room. I had no idea where I was or how I got there.

Jesse: Can you describe this room for me?

Jane: Dark, four walls, a cot, horrible.

Jesse: And you said they communicated with you --

Jane: Yes, over a microphone. And their voices were distorted. So, look, I wish I could be more help to you.

Jesse: What puzzles me is why the kidnappers would wait so long to demand a ransom.

Jack: Who knows, Jesse? Maybe they got arguing about how much to ask for.

Jane: I personally wish that they had asked right away, because that was so hard, the waiting. I hated that. That was the hardest part. I just wanted to be home. Home and -- Jack?

Jack: You know what, Jesse? I think maybe that's all for today, huh?

Jesse: Ok. All right. I'm glad you're back safe, and we will find these people. I promise you.

Jack: Thanks, Jesse.

Jane: Yes. Thanks, Jesse. It was wonderful to see you.

Jesse: Uh, you, too.

Jesse: You'll let me know if she remembers anything else, right?

Jack: Of course, I will.

Jane: Listen, I should probably go talk to the reporters. I'm sure that my fans were very worried about me, and I really need to let them know that I'm doing fine.

Jack: So issue a press release. Honey, you just got back home to us.

Jane: I know. That's exactly why I want to really just live my life! And doesn't Erica Kane -- don't I always get what I want?

Angie: So Cara admits she still has feelings for Jake?

Tad: She doesn't have to.

Angie: Where's Jake in all of this?

Tad: You see, that's a problem, because I don't know. Jake and I don't really speak too much these days, especially about that. I know he's in love with Amanda, and it's not like Cara's making moves on him. She doesn't expect anything from Jake. These aren't feelings that she wants.

Angie: Sounds familiar.

Tad: Marriage is ok. I mean we're friends, and it works. God knows I've had worse. The girls love having her in the house, I love having her in the house, but I'm not a fool. I -- I know I could never expect it -- for it to become a real relationship.

Cara: The reality is you love your wife and your family, and I've accepted that. Yeah.

Jake: Yes, I love them, of course.

Cara: I want you to remember me, Jake. I want you to remember my place in your life, because the truth is I'm always gonna remember us. I'm grateful for our memories. We kept each other alive.

Jake: We did do that, didn't we? Yeah, we did.

Cara: Are we cool?

Jake: Oh, we're cool. We're very cool. Heh heh heh!

Cara: Ok.

Bianca: Kendall and I, we're gonna be leaving soon to see Mom.

Ricky: Great. I'd like to come along, if that's ok?

Bianca: She's actually been through hell these past few weeks.

Ricky: I understand.

Bianca: But she can't have a lot of visitors right now.

Ricky: Erica and I have a very special relationship.

Bianca: I understand. Maybe in a week, or two.

Kendall: Uh, Binks.

Ricky: No, no. Your sister's just being protective.

Kendall: Yes, yes, I know. And we talked about the little lie that she told you to get you away from me, and we have reached a new understanding. Right?

Bianca: Right.

Ricky: Good. Because I do have some experience dealing with people who have been through traumatic experiences such as Erica.

Bianca: I'm sure you do.

Kendall: Bianca, could you call Sandra, tell her we're gonna swing by and get the boys on the way to see Mom?

Bianca: Sure.

Ricky: I'm not so sure about reaching that understanding.

Kendall: She just thinks we're moving too fast, that's all.

Ricky: Is that it? Because I thought we were fine.

Kendall: We are fine. I told you. She's going through a divorce, and she's having a hard time trusting the whole love thing.

Ricky: I'm not having a hard time trusting the whole love thing. And as much as I want to be alone with you, I think you should be with your family right now.

Kendall: I appreciate that.

Ricky: But when we do have that time alone, there's something I want to give you.

[Doorbell rings]

Bianca: I'll get it!

Jane: But I can't stay long because there's so much I want to do. Hi, girls!

Amanda: Oh, my God, Jake, that's spectacular.

Jake: I'm just -- I'm not buying anything in this, necessarily.

Amanda: I promise to act surprised if you do.

Jake: Hmm. I just wanted to maybe get you a little something to show you I was thinking about you and how much you mean to me.

Amanda: Oh, honey. I love you, too.

Jake: Yeah?

Amanda: Yeah.

Jake: There is something that I'd like to give you, and I got it already set up, but you have to be with me to get it, to make it happen.

Amanda: Ok.

Jake: Yeah, but I have to show it to you in person. Is that all right? So we'd have to go right now.

Amanda: Ok.

Jake: Cool.

Liza: Hi. Angie, may I have a word with you for a moment? It's very important.

Angie: Yeah. Sure.

Tad: Here, baby, allow me. Right there. So --

Cara: Yes?

Tad: How was your first day at the clinic?

Cara: It was good. It's good, you know? The place needs a lot of help.

Tad: Then it's a good thing they've got Pine Valley's best doctor on the job -- and don't tell Jake I said that.

Cara: Hmm. Ran into Jake.

Tad: Ohh. Why am I not surprised?

Cara: This sucks, you know? The tension between you two?

Tad: We're brothers. It happens.

Cara: It's happening because of me, and I hate that.

Tad: Let's be honest, ok? We're in a tricky situation here, but I understand you two. You were married. You were in love. You had a lot of feelings there, a lot of history -- maybe you still do.

Cara: The only thing that we've got are wonderful memories, ok? That's it.

Tad: Memories?

Cara: Yes. You must have great ones, too. With Dixie?

Tad: Oh. Huh. Yeah, that's fair.

Cara: Ok.

Tad: Although, I'm sure they weren't as exciting as yours.

Cara: Everyone said that you're soul mates.

Tad: We were.

Cara: Do you want to tell me about her? Do you feel like it?

Erica: Why would anybody go through the trouble to re-create my bedroom?

Jane: [Distorted voice] Penne primavera, your favorite pasta.

Erica: No.

Jane: And the roses -- your favorite, as well.

Erica: You're wrong. Red is my color.

Jane: Correction noted.

Erica: This was a lot of work. You didn't cobble this all together overnight.

Jane: I would love to hear your take on every moment that brought you to where you are now.

Erica: I know what you're doing.

Kendall: Mom, it is so nice to have you back.

Jane: Oh, I'm sure that you were both very worried, but you know what? I'm here now, and I'm in this beautiful house.

Ricky: Hi.

Jane: Hi. I couldn't be happier.

Jack: Your mother does seem to be making a rather remarkable recovery.

Jane: Jack is worried. But I just want to go out and really have a great time!

Jack: Hey.

[Ian squeals]

Jane: Oh!

Spike: Yay! You're back!

Miranda: We missed you!

Jane: Thank you.

Gabrielle: Hey, you're back!

Bianca: You didn't need to bring the kids over.

Sandra: Spike wanted his Red Wings hat.

Ian: I missed you!

Miranda: Come upstairs. I want to show you something.

Jane: Oh, my. Upstairs?

Bianca: Mom, are you ok?

Jane: Yeah. I'm just a little overwhelmed, that's all.

Kendall: They're just so excited to see you, that's all. Hey, guys, you know what? Why don't we go outside for a little while? Want to do that? Let's go outside. Come on, angel, let's go. Yeah, there we go! 1, 2, 3 -- whee! Up we go!

Ricky: I want you to know that I'm here for you.

Jane: Oh, thank you. I appreciate that.

Ricky: And whenever you need to talk --

Jane: Yes, of course.

Ricky: It's part of my job being a minister.

Jane: Oh, yes, of course. And -- and thank you. And I'm sure that my family just appreciates you so much.

Ricky: I hope so, because, you know, Kendall and I have gotten pretty close. I've tried to take care of her.

Jane: And I hope that you still will continue to do that.

Ricky: I, um, I know how much Kendall's family means to her, which is why I'm glad that you're all here to be part of this. I can't believe what's happened to my life in the last few months. I've completely changed where I wanted to go and who I want to be, and it's all because of you, Kendall. I love you, and I want you to be with me forever. Kendall --

Kendall: Ricky --

Ricky: Will you be my wife?

Kendall: I wasn't expecting this.

Ricky: It's the surprise that I was talking about. I figured with your mom being back and your family being here --

Jane: Wow. There's never a dull moment around here, is there?

Ricky: It's what's in my heart, and it's been there for a while now.

Kendall: Ricky, I'm sorry. This is just -- this is so sudden.

Jane: But it's so romantic, and you have to answer the man.

Jack: Oh, yeah, I have a better idea. Why don't we all give Kendall a little space, so that she can absorb all this? Reverend, step this way.

Bianca: Ok, this is insane. You cannot let a murderer put a ring on your finger.

Kendall: Actually, this is good. This is good, because he will trust me now, and he will let his guard down.

Bianca: It is too far. It's too dangerous.

Kendall: He won't hurt me, ok? Clearly, he loves me.

Bianca: How many dead women have said that before?

Kendall: Bianca, just take the kids, go back to your house.

Bianca: No.

Kendall: Bianca, listen to me. I want to keep the kids safe, ok? Please, just go. I promise you I will keep in touch with you and let you know what's going on as soon as I have this whole thing figured out.

Bianca: Ok. Just be careful.

Kendall: I always am.

Bianca: Ok, I will go take care of the kids.

Jane: I should throw you an enormous cocktail party, invite the entire town.

Jack: Honey, Kendall hasn't said yes yet.

Kendall: You guys, do you mind? I'd like to just talk to Ricky by myself.

Jane: Oh. Of course, sweetheart. But you just call me when you want to go public.

Kendall: Ok. Yeah.

Jack: Bye.

Ricky: Ok. So maybe I should've waited.

Kendall: I know your heart was in the right place.

Ricky: Question is, where's yours? Honestly, Kendall, I don't know what I'll do if you say no.

Jake: You know that's the spot right over there that we ended up the night right before we renewed our vows? I think we were in the middle of a very heavy make-out session. Do people still say "make-out -- "

Amanda: When Krystal came and broke it up.

Jake: And she's like, "You're not supposed to be doing this! Not supposed to be together the night before the wedding!"

Amanda: But we so wanted to.

Jake: Yes, we did. We did.

Amanda: When we renewed our vows in front of everyone, that was the best day of my life.

Jake: I want to give you more moments like that. I want to make that my promise to you.

Amanda: That's so sweet. And does that mean I don't get the diamond bracelet?

Jake: Ah! You saw that. Oh!

Cara: May I? Thank you. She's lovely.

Tad: Yeah, she was.

Cara: Ok, so you actually proposed to her in a chicken suit?

Tad: Oh. You heard about that one, did you?

Cara: I did.

Tad: Eh, guilty as charged. But I was a lot younger then, so --

Cara: And of course, she accepted?

Tad: Oh, she had to. Absolutely. I was irresistible back in the day. But all our memories aren't that nice.

Cara: But you know what? That's what makes you who you guys were. That's what made you soul mates.

Tad: For soul mates, all I can say is we were apart a hell of a lot. You know? Then again, even when we were, we used to -- weird coincidence. We used to wish on the same star every year at Christmas and never knew it. And we both said the same thing: "Together forever." That was sort of our promise together. I just -- couldn't keep it. You know, I lost her, so --

Jane: So many reporters and fans!

Jack: Yeah, I didn't think they'd have the side entrance staked out. Sorry about that.

Jane: Oh, no, I should go back down. I should go back down and sign some more autographs.

Jack: Honey, you signed plenty of autographs. You've had a big day. Why don't you rest a little bit, huh?

Jane: You know something I did just realize? Kendall's gonna get married soon, too.

Jack: Whoa, not so fast.

Jane: No, I just hope she doesn't want a double wedding, because I don't want to share the aisle with anybody but you. And our wedding should be big and splashy and all about us.

Jack: I thought we'd agreed on a nice, small, simple ceremony.

Jane: A woman can change her mind, can't she?

Jack: Of course, as is her prerogative. But for now, you, come here. Where's your engagement ring?

Jane: Oh, my ring. Yes, I've been missing it myself. Oh. So when was the last time that I saw it? It was at the hospital. They took it from me at the hospital.

Jack: Oh.

Jane: So we know it's safe.

Jack: Sure.

Jane: You are not gonna believe this, Jack, but I am starving.

Jack: Really? I think that's probably a pretty good sign, right?

Jane: So do you think that you could --

Jack: You don't have to tell me what you want. I know exactly what you want.

Jane: You do?

Jack: Of course. Grilled salmon and steamed spinach from Verjus.

Jane: Yes, yes. That's it.

Jack: There's one problem. Verjus is closed today, as always.

Jane: Oh. Then what are you gonna do?

Jack: You could get the crab cakes from Krystal's.

Jane: Oh. That's good. Delicious.

Jack: Really?

Jane: Yes.

Jack: Ok. Then I'll go get those.

Jane: Ok. Thank you. You're so good to me. And do say hi to Krystal for me. Is something wrong?

Jack: Yes. Yes. You know -- when you left me at that altar, I was very angry with you.

Jane: Of course, you were. I understand.

Jack: I turned to Krystal.

Jane: "Turned?" You slept with her?

Jack: No, no, I did not. I kissed her. It was not her fault. It was all on me.

Jane: Well, you were angry at me at the time. So that doesn't matter now.

Jack: Really?

Jane: Really. I mean, I just want to live in the moment. And so whatever happened before doesn't matter now.

Jack: You are amazing.

Jane: Thank you. Erica.

Tad: Are you sure you're ok?

Angie: As ok as anyone can be after a conversation with Liza.

Jesse: Hey, baby.

Angie: Hey, you.

Tad: Anything new on Erica's kidnappers?

Jesse: No. I went over everything with her again, still came up empty. Heard anything from Griff?

Tad: No. And we don't expect to until we can prove his innocence.

Jesse: I hope you can.

Tad: So do we. There's my princess! How was your dentist appointment, huh?

Cara: Hey! Let's see those -- wow! Those are sparkling!

Tad: She got a beautiful smile. Just like your mother, huh? Come on.

Jesse: What's the matter?

Angie: Liza was just here talking to me.

Jesse: What? She's following you, too?

Angie: She said that she was worried about you.

Kendall: I love you, Ricky, and I want to be with you.

Ricky: That means the world to me. But there's a problem.

Kendall: The truth? I feel like I don't completely know you.

Ricky: Then ask a question.

Kendall: It's not that easy. I wouldn't even know which question to ask you. It's like you're withholding a part of yourself from me, and I want to know all of you.

Ricky: Marry me, and I will bare my soul to you.

Jesse: I don't know what Liza's up to. Whatever it is, do not let her get to you. Ok? Now I got to get back to work. I'm gonna drop you home. Come on.

Angie: Jesse?

Jesse: Yeah?

Angie: You're absolutely sure there is nothing you're keeping from me?

Jesse: Angela -- come on.

Kathy: No!

Cara: Let's not begin the bad habits.

Kathy: My dad puts ketchup on everything.

Cara: That's gross, right?

Tad: Even chocolate ice cream.

Cara: Ew! Super gross. But you know what's really good? Chocolate candy bars in his cereal. I've seen that. You must've seen that, yeah?

Tad: You know what's funny? Because I've seen it, too, because I'm not the only one that started doing it.

Cara: Ok! I've learned some bad habits! I guess that's what happens when you're married.

Tad: That's exactly what happens when you're married. Ok, come on, you. Time to get you to school. Go on.

Kathy: My backpack!

Cara: I got it. I got it.

Tad: Oh.

Cara: You got everything?

[While being held prisoner, Dixie draws a star on the wall of her cell]

Amanda: How about we take this home?

Jake: I think I could just about make it to the car.

Amanda: Well, if we do make it home, then I could give you a special surprise.

Jake: I love special surprises. What is the surprise? What is it?

Amanda: I just want to make you happy.

Jake: You do. You do make me happy.

Kendall: There is no question that I want to be with you.

Ricky: And I want to tell you everything, Kendall, everything that you should know about me.

Kendall: You do?

Ricky: Isn't that what people in love do?

Kendall: Yeah. No secrets?

Ricky: No secrets.

Ricky: Kendall, say you'll marry me.

[Kendall accepts Ricky's engagement ring]

Ricky: You have made me the happiest man in the world.

Krystal: Hey, stranger.

Jack: Hello, you.

Krystal: Don't worry. I'm not gonna jump over the bar and try to kiss you or anything like that.

Jack: That's kind of too bad. I would pay good money to see you jump over that bar. I would.

Krystal: Don't tempt me. Can I get you something to drink or --

Jack: No. No, thanks. I actually just came here to pick up some of those delicious crab cakes for Erica.

Krystal: She's got you running around for her already, huh?

Jack: Krystal --

Krystal: No, it's ok. I'll get that order in for you. I'm happy for you.

Singer: I wanna go home I wanna go home

Jane: Good morning, Erica. You don't look so great.

Erica: I figured it out. I know what you want, and you are insane if you think you can get away with it. You will never take over my life. Never!
