Kendall: Did you not just hear what I said?
Griffin: It sounded vaguely like you just wanted to help me escape.
Kendall: Yes, but we don't have much time.
Griffin: Why are you doing this?
Cara: That's what I want to know. She just asked me to create a diversion to get the guard out of the way.
Kendall: Ok, listen to me, both of you. I know I haven't given you much reason to trust me --
Cara: How about "any reason"?
Kendall: You just told me the police are out there waiting to take Griffin back to jail, where the guy who stabbed him is probably two cells over. You don't want your brother to get hurt, and neither do I. So we can either stand here and argue with each other, or you can help me.
Cara: All right.
Griffin: Cara, wait! I swear to God, Kendall, if this some kind of trick --
Kendall: It isn't.
Griffin: Why are you doing this?
Kendall: Griffin, please.
Griffin: Why?
Kendall: To get the truth.
Griffin: The truth about what?
Kendall: Who murdered my husband.
Ryan: Yes, still looking into Diana Holden, how dirty she was.
Ricky: Anything interesting?
Ryan: Too soon to tell.
Ricky: You must have some idea, right? You did ask me to help.
Ryan: Yes, that's right, I did.
Ricky: I wish I would've done something more. I'm concerned about Kendall, too. You understand.
Ryan: Yes, Reverend, we're all concerned.
Frankie: Hey, little sis. What's up? You think your brother's funny-looking or something? Ok. I get that.
Angie: I'm so glad you were able to rearrange your schedule and spend some time with her.
Frankie: Are you kidding me? This is the highlight of my day. And this little girl's gonna be a heartbreaker, too. Dad and I are gonna have to take turns guarding this place when boys come knocking on the door.
Angie: I'd love to see that. Maybe I will.
Frankie: Yeah, I wish you could, too, Mom.
Angie: It's ok, sweetie. I'm serious, Frankie. There's a chance I could see Lucy grow up.
Frankie: Ok. What are you talking about?
Angie: There's an experimental treatment I've been looking into. The information's on the table.
Frankie: It's pretty radical stuff. Where'd you dig this up at? Mom?
Angie: David Hayward.
David: Gentlemen. Let me guess -- you're here with that police van outside for Griffin Castillo. How's he doing?
Tad: Why do you want to know?
David: In case you've forgotten, I was your new brother-in-law's mentor.
Tad: That doesn't answer the question. What's in it for you?
David: I happen to like the man, and I don't believe any of this trumped-up garbage against him.
Jesse: Why are you here?
David: That's funny you should ask. I'm here to do more research on restoring your wife's eyesight.
Jesse: You do me a favor. Stay out of our lives.
Woman over P.A.: Paging Dr. Battaglia. Call extension 198. Dr. Battaglia, extension 198.
[Tray clangs]
Griffin: You said you found out something new about Zach, his crash?
Kendall: Yeah. We don't have time.
Griffin: Why should I put my life in your hands?
Kendall: It's better my hands than the man who stabbed you.
Griffin: You're the one who put me behind bars in the first place.
Kendall: Listen to me a second. Before you operated on me, before you made my heart beat again, we made a pact to trust each other. "A life for a life," that's what you said. You have to trust me now, Griffin. It's the only way.
Griffin: I'm probably gonna regret this for the rest of my life, for however long that may be.
[Cara pulls the fire alarm]
Kendall: All right, come on. Let's go. Come on. Now!
[Alarm]
Jesse: No, we're not sure yet.
Brot: Chief, where do you need us?
Jesse: We need to find the damn fire first. All right. Somebody get these patients down to a lower floor.
Brot: Got it. Let's go, guys.
[Phone rings]
Jesse: Hubbard.
Tad: Come on. We got to start moving patients. Come on. Some of these people are immobile.
Cara: Just wait, ok? Just wait.
Tad: Why?
Cara: Because it's a false alarm.
Tad: How do you know?
Cara: Because I set it off.
[Ryan remembers]
Kendall's voice: If I find out somehow that Ricky was involved in Zach's murder, before I got to the police, I'm gonna look him in the eye, I'm gonna make him admit what he did to me, and then I'm gonna make him pay.
Ricky: I know how close you and Kendall are. The thing is she and I have also become close in the past couple of months.
Ryan: Yeah, she's told me all about you.
Ricky: Really? She has?
Ryan: Yes. That you have been there for her ever since Zach's death.
Ricky: It's all part of the job description.
Ryan: Yeah, I know she really appreciates it.
Ricky: Kendall's a very special woman.
Ryan: I agree. I agree. She really values her friends, and I think she's an excellent judge of character.
Ricky: Wow. Thank you. I will take that as a compliment.
Ryan: So you seem like something's going on. Is there something that I can actually --
Ricky: Yeah, yeah. Actually, there is.
Ryan: Ok.
Ricky: You have obviously known Kendall a lot longer than I have. So I was wondering if there was something that you could tell me that might help make things easier.
Ryan: Um, "easier"?
Ricky: For me to help her.
Ryan: Ok, I'm not sure I totally follow you.
Ricky: Ok. Look, Kendall's been obsessing with what's happened to Zach, and I'm afraid that it's taken over her life.
Ryan: Uh, ok. It's sort of understandable, considering the way Zach died and the fact that his casino partners were threatening him. Right? Wouldn't you want some answers?
Ricky: What if there aren't any answers? What if these people are so clever that they'll never get caught?
Ryan: It's my experience that everyone makes mistakes. You, of all people, probably should know that, right?
Ricky: Yes. But what if it takes years? What if it takes her the rest of her life? And even then, if she gets those answers, is it really gonna bring her peace?
Ryan: That's a good question.
Ricky: I just wish that there was a way that I could help her let it all go.
Ryan: That's not gonna happen.
Angie: What do you think of David's research?
Frankie: Are you asking me as your doctor or as your son?
Angie: Both.
Frankie: Ok. I think it's a Hail Mary, the longest of long shots.
Angie: Because?
Frankie: Ever since we found out there was a possibility you might lose your sight, we've looked into every experimental treatment out there.
Angie: The ones aboveboard.
Frankie: Is that supposed to be a selling point, that it might've been done in some shady facility?
Angie: Frankie, medical advancements can happen anywhere. David has access to channels that we don't. I just --
Frankie: Do you trust him?
Angie: No. But that doesn't mean his treatment can't work.
Frankie: It doesn't mean he won't torture you either, get your hopes up, so he can have the fun of breaking your heart.
Angie: He'll do anything to get his license back, practice medicine again. He hurts me, he hurts his cause.
Frankie: But you don't know that for sure, do you? And this is your son talking now. David Hayward -- he hates this family and will do anything he can to pay us back for whatever he thinks we've done to him. I know you want your sight back. I know you want it badly, and so do I, but you need to remember who this miracle is coming from.
Brot: Well. Look who's here.
David: Yeah, no kidding. Look who's here. Is there a problem?
Brot: Yeah. It seems as if someone set off the fire alarm, except there's one problem -- there's no fire.
David: Ok. And what does that have to do with me? You're kidding, right? You think I set that off?
Brot: Why don't we go talk about that?
David: Oh, my God. Come on.
Tad: Why the hell would you set off a fire alarm?
Cara: To help Kendall get Griffin out of here.
Tad: What about the guard?
Cara: I drugged his drink.
Tad: Ha ha ha ha! Are you insane?
Cara: This isn't funny. I needed to do what needed to be done, ok?
Tad: It's called aiding and abetting a fugitive.
Cara: Oh, my God, he's not a fugitive, ok? He's my brother.
Tad: Gosh, when you put it like that, I'm sure the judge is gonna understand. It's a felony. You're already this close to being deported.
Cara: And I told you I don't care.
Tad: I care! I care a lot!
Jesse: Damn it.
Cara: What are you doing?
Tad: Right now I'm thinking about drinking whatever's left. I'm gonna destroy the evidence. Why should you have all the fun?
Cara: What?
Jesse: Yep, it was a false alarm. I want you to put out an APB on Dr. Castillo. Yeah, he's gone. You fell asleep? You fell asleep? What are you --
Brot: Chief?
Jesse: What is this?
Brot: Caught him hanging around the alarm that went off. I figured you may want to talk to him?
Jesse: Why am I not surprised?
David: What? Is it against the law to hang around an alarm now?
Jesse: No. But helping a prisoner escape is against the law.
David: Castillo escaped?
Jesse: Look at him. He's all surprised.
David: No, look. Don't get me wrong. I'm thrilled that he got away, but I had nothing to do with it.
Jesse: Ok. Yeah. I'll just believe that.
David: You can believe whatever you want. When the alarm went off, I was with Dr. Phillips in Ophthalmology -- discussing your wife's case, as a matter of fact, hoping to restore her eyesight. So with that being said, good luck finding your man.
Cara: Ok. So are you done telling me I did a terrible thing? Are you gonna help me get through this or what?
Tad: Remember me, coffee guy? In case you haven't noticed, I'm kind of on board.
Cara: Oh, good. Thank you, because I'm just doing what you would do. I'm helping my brother at any cost.
Jesse: Yeah, I'm sure you would, Cara. Like to come down to headquarters and discuss it?
Ryan: Zach was the love of Kendall's life and she lost him way too soon.
Ricky: So even if it takes years --
Ryan: Even if it takes the rest of her life, she will never stop searching for the truth, and I'm gonna help her find that.
Ricky: Wow. That's admirable.
Ryan: Yeah, that's what friends do for each other, right?
Ricky: I understand that you and Zach weren't always friends.
Ryan: We had our differences, but I always knew that he would have my back when crunch time came, and I would have his. Hey, are you still meeting Kendall for dinner?
Ricky: Yes.
Ryan: I should probably get going, then. Ok. Talk soon.
Ricky: Take care.
Kendall: Come on. You have to hurry up. Hurry up.
Griffin: You still haven't told me why you're doing this.
Kendall: I couldn't let you go back to jail. I didn't want something bad to happen to you.
Griffin: Hey, I'm still the guy with that woman in his bed, the guy you thought was guilty.
Kendall: Well, I found out some things that made me change my mind, some things about Zach's death.
Griffin: What things?
Kendall: Some things that made me second-guess what the truth really is -- the letter.
Griffin: Zach's letter?
Kendall: Yes. Yes. That page, that last page when I told you that Zach called me "Sweetheart"? It was a fake. The whole thing was a fake. I found the real letter in the yacht. And there was a disc with it, and there were these two sets of casino books with names and dates, and Ryan's gonna help me sort through all of that. In the real letter, Zach said that he thought someone might be after him, that he thought he might be murdered if they knew he had the information.
Griffin: I'm sorry.
Kendall: I can't go there. I can't go there. I can't allow myself to feel what I'm really feeling right now. All the rage and the tears -- I'm not gonna go there, because I am this close. I am so close to finding out the whole truth.
Griffin: And you want me to help you.
Kendall: I know. I have a lot of nerve asking you to help me, especially after what I did to you, after turning you in for the drug theft.
Griffin: Do you believe me now? I wasn't dealing drugs in the street, that I didn't kill Diana Holden? I have nothing to do with Zach's death? Uh oh!!
Jesse: So let's start at the beginning. The false alarm -- what do you know about it?
Cara: It was set off.
Jesse: Any idea how that might've happened?
Tad: Why you got to take a run at her like that? Why? There were plenty of people in that hallway when the thing went off. You and I were talking to Hayward. Anytime anything goes wrong, he's always right next door. Why isn't he in that seat?
Brot: Chief? Sorry to interrupt, but I thought you might want to know that David Hayward's alibi with Dr. Phillips checks out.
Jesse: Thank you, Officer. Any other ideas? Ok. So the guard decides to take a nap while your brother decides to escape. Any thoughts on that? Any? Anything?
Cara: I've got a thought. He was probably so bored guarding an innocent person. I'm actually thrilled that my brother's out of here because, I don't know, he'd be spending the night in jail with the guy who tried to stab him to death.
Tad: Un mosquito muerto.
Brot: He said, "Make like a dead mosquito -- "
Jesse: I know what it means. Thank you, Officer. Nice.
Tad: You know, she's a bit under stress. It's perfectly understandable. She tends to over-explain things. I thought, in the interest of what's going on here, we should keep it simple.
Jesse: Don't help. Let her answer her own questions. Ok?
Cara: I have nothing more to say.
Jesse: Fine. There were a lot of people there. Somebody saw what happened. Before too long, we will know what actually happened.
Tad: Then you don't have to waste any more time. You can lay off Cara.
Jesse: Tad? Tad?!
Tad: I did it.
Angie: I already had this conversation with your father.
Frankie: Oh, yeah. I'm sure he was thrilled to hear David was offering to give you back your sight.
Angie: Of course, he wasn't thrilled.
Frankie: Dad knows who David is.
Angie: So do I.
Frankie: David's to blame for you losing your sight in the first place. How can you be buying this con job?
Angie: You're not saying anything to me that I haven't told myself already.
Frankie: Mom, you're responsible for David losing his license to practice medicine. Before that, he accused you of stealing his job as chief of staff.
Angie: Frankie, I don't have any illusions about David's motives for helping me. But the one thing he wants more than anything in this world is to practice medicine again. He needs my help.
Frankie: So you're saying even if somehow this whole thing with David works out, you'd actually help him?
Angie: I haven't thought that far yet.
Frankie: But what if you're wrong?
[Knock on door]
Frankie: What if this is about payback?
David: Frankie. Always a pleasure. Hello, Angie. I was wondering if you had a chance to consider the research I left with you earlier.
Angie: Yes, I have, and I am ready to talk about it.
Griffin: It's pretty simple. I'm either a drug dealer and a murderer, or I'm not. Look at me. Look at me. You know me. You know who I am, what I do. I save lives, Kendall. I saved yours. I shook your husbands hand, and I made him a promise that we would save people all over the world. You really think I'm capable of killing the man I made that promise to?
Kendall: I believe you. There's no way you killed Zach.
Ryan: Kendall! What the hell's going on here?
Kendall: What are you doing here?
Ryan: You realize if I can find you, the police won't be too far behind me? Or did you not realize that there is an APB out on you?
Griffin: Yes, I figured as much.
Ryan: I'd like you to step away from Kendall and tell me what the hell is going on here, please.
Kendall: It's ok. This was my idea.
Ryan: What?
Kendall: I broke Griff out of the hospital.
Ryan: Are you crazy?
Kendall: I had to.
Ryan: No, Kendall, you didn't have to. This man is a murder suspect, ok? Now you could go to prison along with him.
Kendall: He didn't do it.
Ryan: And you know that for a fact, do you?
Kendall: Yeah, I do now.
Ryan: How?
Kendall: There is no way this man is a killer. I just know it. And I can't send him back to jail. Something could happen to him. He could be in danger. I'm not gonna let that happen.
Griffin: Look, Ryan, for what it's worth, I tried to talk her out of it.
Ryan: But you decided to go along anyway?
Griffin: Yeah. I have a stake in finding out the truth, too.
Kendall: Listen, he helped me and he got burned for it, and now it's my turn to help him.
Ryan: There's still a lot of unanswered questions.
Griffin: I've answered all of hers, I think. What do you want to know? Yeah, I took antibiotics and vaccines from the hospital, but only to ship them to clinics that needed them. And I was gonna pay everything back with interest. Everything else is a pack of lies. I'll swear to my life on that.
Ryan: You might just have to do that.
Kendall: Ryan, you know what it's like to be accused of something that you didn't do. I believe him.
[Siren]
Griffin: Look, Ryan, it's your call. Whatever you want.
Ryan: If you guys have a plan, I would love to hear one.
Kendall: Thank you.
Ryan: But not here. I know a place. Follow me.
Jesse: Where's Griffin Castillo?
Tad: I don't know.
Jesse: Where is Griffin --
Tad: Jesse, what do you want me to say? Ok? I'm at a hospital. I smell smoke. I pulled the alarm. I thought it would be important. I made a mistake. End of story.
Jesse: So it's just a huge coincidence that your brother-in-law decides to escape while all this was going on?
Tad: Yeah, I guess so. And you know what? Considering the fact he nearly bled to death the last time he was in the holding cells, I can't say I'm too sorry about it. Are we under arrest?
Jesse: No.
Tad: It's been a long day for all of us. I'm looking forward to going home. You could do the same. Take a personal day. Go home and hang out with Angela, your brand-new baby.
Jesse: Tad, we've been friends for a long time. You're my friend. That could change. Get them out of here.
Brot: Ok, Chief. You heard the man.
Tad: Come on.
Cara: Why did you lie for me?
Tad: Relax, ok? Jesse is all bark. He's gonna be fine. He'll get over it.
Cara: But you should let me take the blame, Tad.
Tad: You can't afford to, ok? You can't make one mistake with the federal government, because if you do, the first thing they're gonna do is export you to Mexico. They don't care if you got a price on your head.
Cara: Listen, this is gonna cost you. All right? The police -- they give you a lot of work. Your best friend knows that you're lying to him.
Tad: And you are my wife, ok? Call me old-fashioned, there are a couple of things I like to take care of. Number one is the old ball and chain. All right? You cannot afford to have anything to do with Griffin's disappearance.
Ryan: Ok, this place should give you cover for a little while.
Kendall: I'll meet you inside.
Ryan: Go ahead. So what's the plan, or do you have a plan?
Kendall: Griff might actually be able to help with some of these answers that we need. Ryan, I misjudged him completely. This whole time he was only just trying to help me.
Ryan: And how are you gonna repay his kindness? Breaking the guy out of jail is only gonna last so long. There was a dead woman found in his bed.
Kendall: Yes, I know. That was only part of him being set up.
Ryan: So what happens next?
Kendall: If Griffin stays here in Pine Valley, he could be in serious trouble. So I think we need to get him out of here.
Ryan: Are we talking, like, out of the country?
Kendall: Could you arrange that?
Ryan: You're in pretty deep already, Kendall. Are you sure you want to do this?
Kendall: I owe him at least this much, please. If I can do it myself, I'll do it. Just tell me how.
Ryan: I'll see what I can do.
Griffin: I wonder how long this place has been on the market.
Kendall: I can't believe that you're laughing, even with a hundred cops on our trail.
Griffin: Not "ours," Kendall, "mine." Nobody knows you had a part in this.
Kendall: Griffin --
Griffin: We don't have a lot of time, Kendall. You told me you figured something about Zach.
Kendall: Yeah. I distinctly remember something about Zach's letter that was incriminating about the casino partners in the event that something had happened to Zach.
Griffin: Right. They would be the people to look into. I remember. Right.
Kendall: Yeah, I wasn't alone when I got the letter. And then the boys came home. They were on a sugar high. I had to go upstairs and help them, and when I came back down, the last page of the letter was gone.
Griffin: Right. It was stuck in the couch somewhere.
Kendall: Yes. Eventually, that's where we found it. Only when I looked for it, the last page was missing, it wasn't the same. It was different. There was nothing else about the casino partners or any threat. It was just gone.
Griffin: You said you thought you had imagined it.
Kendall: Right. And this guy called me "Sweetheart," and then it hit me. It was the same person who was with me when I got Zach's letter. And he was there. He was there with me when I went upstairs to help the boys, and he was there when I came back, and the letter was missing. He helped me find it. He's probably the one who switched it or who forged it. I think he might have something to do with what happened to Zach. He may even be the person who killed him.
Griffin: Ricky.
David: To regenerate the tissues around the optic nerve.
Jesse: Really? What, you moving in now?
David: I was just catching Angie up on what Dr. Phillips and I discussed earlier. By the way, did you ever find your man?
Angie: What are you talking about?
David: Griffin Castillo escaped from the hospital.
Angie: Jesse, is that true?
Jesse: Yeah, it's true.
David: Yeah. And as a matter of fact, your husband accused me of setting off the fire alarm to create a diversion. It turns out he was wrong.
Jesse: Blame me?
David: I'll accept that as an apology.
Angie: Who did set off the alarm?
Jesse: Does he have to be here?
Angie: David, I need to speak to Jesse alone.
David: Not a problem. I'll be in touch. You keep up that stellar police work.
Jesse: Angela --
Angie: I know how you feel about him.
Jesse: It's bad enough this guy is walking around like this free after everything he's done to everybody. But having him in my house, in our lives? Are you kidding me?
Angie: I understand.
Jesse: I'm not really sure you do understand, baby.
Angie: No, I do, Jesse, but listen. He is -- David is my liaison with the specialist who could help me see again.
Jesse: You told him you would do this?
Angie: I told him I would listen. I told him I would meet with the doctors.
Jesse: This is hard. This is really hard. I hate this.
Angie: I know. I know.
Jesse: Ohh. Are you sure you can really trust this guy? You can trust this guy?
Angie: Of course not. But, Jesse, he helped Greenlee walk again, and no one thought that was possible. All I'm asking from my family is to give this a chance for me, and for Lucy -- for all of us. Please. Please, Jesse.
Ricky: Officer Monroe?
Brot: Yeah?
Ricky: What's the latest on Griffin Castillo?
Brot: He's still missing, and we're still looking for him.
Ricky: Do you have any leads?
Cara: Excuse me. What does this have to do with you?
Ricky: I'm just concerned about Kendall.
Cara: Griffin isn't gonna hurt Kendall.
Ricky: After she accused him of stealing drugs? I'm not so sure about that.
Cara: He was set up, ok?
Ricky: I'm just saying how it looks.
Cara: I'm just saying you don't know anything.
Ricky: And you're the little sister who believes big brother can do no wrong.
Tad: Hey, she's got a right to be concerned about her brother. So maybe you should turn the other cheek.
Ricky: You're right. I'm sorry. No excuses. Even criminals deserve our prayers and understanding.
Griffin: That son of a bitch.
Kendall: Ricky told Liza that you weren't as badly hurt as the doctors said.
Griffin: Yeah. So he could get back into the jail cell, so his boy could take another stab at killing me.
Kendall: I know. I know. It is so hard to accept.
Griffin: He's the one who set me up with the drugs. He's the one who planted the body in my room, and probably killed that woman with his own two hands! And all that time he was passing himself off as a man of God, worming his way into your life.
Kendall: I let him. I let him.
Griffin: It's ok. Listen. We all got snowed here, Kendall.
Kendall: No, not you. You didn't. You saw right through him. You're the one who didn't trust him in the first place.
Griffin: That doesn't matter. The guy's a killer.
Kendall: We don't know that 100%.
Griffin: After everything you just told me?
Kendall: No, his name is not on the list of casino partners. There's no link to Ricky at all.
Griffin: That's because Ricky Torres is probably an alias.
Kendall: No, "probably" is not proof either.
Griffin: Listen, if he's the one who killed Zach --
Kendall: I know that! I know. If he took my husband away from me, if he took my life away from me, I want him to look me in the face, and I want him to see what he did to me and to my sons.
Griffin: No. What you need to do is you need to stay as far away from Ricky as you possibly can.
Kendall: Griffin, you're a good man. You're a good man. You tried to help a friend, and all it did was get your life ripped apart.
Griffin: Kendall --
Kendall: No, listen to me a second. I am so sorry for putting you through this, and I am so sorry for not believing in you. But the only way that I can help you is to get you away from here.
Griffin: No way. I'm not letting you risk your life again.
Kendall: Please! I have to do this my way, ok? Please, I need to do this. You are free. You are free right now, ok? I want you to go. I want you to leave the country, go, save lives, and don't look back.
Griffin: I'm not going anywhere.
Kendall: Griffin, please.
Griffin: If Ricky is who we think he is, that means you're in danger.
Kendall: I can take care of myself.
Griffin: That's not the point.
Kendall: Please do this for me. I promise I won't take any unnecessary risks.
Ryan: I'll make sure of that.
Griffin: So you're on board with this?
Ryan: I think you're in a tough spot, and I think Kendall's right. You stick around here, you will not be the first innocent man to go to prison.
Kendall: And until we can prove that Ricky is responsible for all of this, all of the evidence points to you.
Ryan: I've organized to have a plane waiting to take you anywhere you want to go. My advice is that you take it.
Griffin: So that's it? I just leave you alone, take off?
Ryan: She won't be alone. I'm gonna go outside and make sure it's safe for you to leave. Don't take too long to make up your mind.
Kendall: Griffin.
Griffin: It's all right.
Kendall: Please, can you ever forgive me?
Griffin: You did finally believe in me. That was enough. So I guess this is it, huh?
Kendall: Take care of yourself.
Griffin: You, too.
Ryan: It's safe to move. Let's do it.
Griffin: Don't you let her out of your sight. Not for one minute.
Ryan: Come on. Let's take you home.
Jesse: You're not giving me much of a choice here, Angela.
Angie: Jesse, I have to at least try to see again. If David can help --
Jesse: I understand. I understand. You know, whatever research he comes up with, whatever clinical trials -- whatever his plan is, I want to run it by Frankie first before it goes anywhere else.
Angie: I'm sure that can be arranged.
Jesse: I will not have this man jerking you around with false hope.
Angie: Yes. Agreed.
Jesse: That said, I'm on board. Come here. Come here.
Angie: Thank you. Thank you. Thank you, Jesse. Thank you, baby.
Tad: Ohh.
Cara: Hi. Any word?
Tad: So far, so good.
Cara: Hmm. It's hard to believe that my brother being gone is actually good news.
Tad: Hey --
Cara: I just -- I don't know where he is, where he's going, if I'm ever gonna see him again.
Tad: You shouldn't talk like that.
Cara: You know it's the truth, though. Huh. Thank you -- being here for me, as always.
Tad: I'm not going anywhere.
Ryan: Hey, you ok?
Kendall: "Ok"? The man that I've been leaning on, depending on, may have killed my husband. He performed his memorial service. You know what? We just need to get him. That's all.
Ryan: We can go to Jesse right now.
Kendall: No, Ryan, we need evidence. We need more evidence. We can't let Ricky know what we know.
Ryan: We got to be very, very careful right now. Let me come inside with you, ok?
Kendall: No, it's ok. I'm just gonna go in and get changed.
Ryan: This is a time to have your guard up, ok?
Kendall: Listen. Everything's gonna be fine, ok? The boys -- they're safe. They're at Wildwind with Bianca. And Ricky's probably already at ConFusion waiting for me. You can go there and wait for him.
Ryan: Are you sure this is the way you want to play it?
Kendall: We need the evidence.
Ryan: All right. Just know even if you can't see me, I'm there. I'm just a shout away, ok, and don't try and talk me out of it.
[Phone rings]
Kendall: Wouldn't dare.
Ryan: Hello? That's great news, but I can't right now. Just give me about an hour, ok? All right. Great.
Kendall: Who was that?
Ryan: That's one of the P.I.s I have working on the case. They found some credit card receipts and some phone records on the good Reverend Ricky and some information on the guy who stabbed Griff.
Kendall: Good. Ok. Then go talk to them.
Ryan: I will. It can wait.
Kendall: No, it can't. Please, go talk to them. Ok? I'll get dressed. Don't worry about being late to ConFusion. I'll text Ricky. I'll tell him that I'm running late.
Ryan: Ok. Fine. But don't be in any hurry, ok? I want to be there the second you're alone with this guy.
Kendall: Ok.
Ryan: If anything happens --
Kendall: I'll call you.
Ryan: Yes, you will.
