Jack: Married on the beach, just what you wanted. So all you have to do is sign.

Erica: I just can't believe that you got us in there. They're booked into the next century.

Jack: You should know better than anyone when I want something, I don't quit. So what do you say? May 14?

Erica: You are amazing. You really are!

Jack: Can I take that as an "I do"?

Erica: You can take that as an "I can't wait."

Jack: All right. Sign here.

Caleb: I'm sure you'll both be very happy.

Kendall: Hey. Ok. So what's the emergency?

Bianca: We just got the call from Reese's attorney. She's suing for full custody of Miranda and Gaby.

Kendall: What? She can't do that.

Bianca: She's gonna try.

Kendall: Are you kidding me? She hasn't seen the girls in how many months, and she's trying to pull something like this? No. I should get on a plane. That's what I should do. I should fly to Paris, and I should tell her exactly what she can do with her custody suit.

Marissa: I think that we can handle this without having to fly to Paris.

Kendall: Ok. Whatever you need, I'm in. No way in hell that bitch steals your girls.

Diana: You know that Dr. Castillo? He showed up at the casino last night, even though you canceled the meeting. We have him on security footage. He looked like a man with a mission. The strange thing is I never got to see him because he just disappeared.

Ricky: Because I took care of him.

Tad: Hey, Griff. What the hell happened to you?

Griffin: Give me a shot of whiskey.

Tad: Yeah, sure. Sure. It's a little early in the day, but I'd say that -- you look like 5 miles of bad road. Are you ok?

Griffin: Yeah. Nothing this can't cure.

Tad: Ok, listen. Let go. We're going for a ride.

Griffin: I'm -- I'm good.

Tad: No, you're not. Griff, you and me in the car. Now. Come on.

Griffin: I'm only doing this because you're my brother-in-law.

Tad: That makes two of us. You're a pain in the ass, Griff.

Cara: Oh, my God. What happened?

Tad: That's what I've been trying to get out of him.

Cara: What happened to your face?

Griffin: Shaving.

Tad: You use a machete?

Cara: You ticked off those casino people? So protecting Kendall turned you into a punching bag? Is that right?

Griffin: There was a scuffle.

Tad: "A scuffle"?

Griffin: Yeah. You should see the other guy and his 3 buddies.

Erica: Kendall and Bianca -- I've got to tell them. They're gonna be so thrilled.

Caleb: You're going right now?

Erica: Yes.

Caleb: We have a meeting at ConFusion in an hour.

Erica: Yes, I know. I'll be there. And you, get ready for some very heavy-duty wedding planning when I get home.

Jack: Hmm. I'll be ready. How about you, Caleb? Are you ready for what's coming?

Caleb: I'm not the one being dragged down the aisle.

Jack: "Dragged"? My friend, I am racing to the altar. And let me tell you, the wedding is just the beginning. Then I'm gonna take my bride on the honeymoon of her dreams. It could be weeks -- months, even -- before we come back. So I do hope you can figure out a way to manage without your partner.

Caleb: Want me to notarize that thing, make sure she doesn't run out on you?

Kendall: If Reese thinks she has a chance in hell of taking Miranda and Gaby away from you, we will school her on what it means to take on a Kane woman. You don't just get one of us, you get all 3 of us. I think she should be very afraid.

Bianca: It's not gonna get that far. Marissa and I have already talked about our options.

Kendall: The only option is to win.

Marissa: That's the plan.

Kendall: Ok. You know what? I'm done here. I am going to stick with you for the rest of the day.

Bianca: Oh, no, you do not have to do that. I have Marissa.

Kendall: Ok. She's great. She is. She's a great lawyer, and she's a great friend, but you're my little sister.

Bianca: Who is all grown up. The very best thing you can possibly do for me right now is just focus on what you need to focus on.

Kendall: You're a hard case.

Bianca: I'm a Kane. Get to work.

Kendall: Yes, ma'am. Come here. Ok. Will you take care of her?

Marissa: Yes, I will.

Kendall: Ok. Thank you.

Bianca: Hey, I love you, too.

Cara: You won't need stitches.

Griffin: Good. Then we're done.

Cara: Take your shirt off.

Griffin: Would you tell her I'm fine?

Cara: Look. If this is any indication of what's under that, take it off, please.

Griffin: Pushy.

Cara: Take off the shirt, or I'll cut it off your back!

Tad: Don't look at me. I'm not the one that caught the beating.

Griffin: Traitor.

Cara: Let's go. Griff. You're gonna need stitches.

Griffin: You're overreacting. It's superficial.

Cara: Ok. Sure, Doc. Whatever you say. Let me just remind you that you are a surgeon, and you probably shouldn't do anything that would risk your lovely hands.

Griffin: She really has no respect for her older brother.

Cara: Let's see what's going on here, shall we?

Griffin: Ooh!

Cara: Oh. There's a cracked rib.

Griffin: Cara.

Cara: Wait a minute. There's two. I thought you were gonna keep him safe, Tad.

Tad: Unfortunately, he takes suggestions about as well as you do.

Cara: You obviously ticked somebody off.

Tad: I'd say a couple "somebodies." I'm sure you can take it from here.

Griffin: The meeting was canceled. I went anyway.

Tad: And they rolled out the red carpet for you, didn't they?

Griffin: I charmed them as best I could.

Cara: You're lucky you still have your teeth.

Tad: So I take it you didn't get in to see this Diana Holden?

Griffin: I tried to. But when I tried to barge into her office, four guys showed up. They took me out to an alley. They tried to teach me a couple lessons, I taught a couple back.

Tad: Hey, far be it for me, but if they cared enough to do something like this, they just might have something to hide.

Griffin: I'm thinking the same exact thing.

Cara: Yeah? Or maybe they just don't like people messing in their private businesses, Griff!

Griffin: That's possible, too. Let me do this, please.

Cara: You do it. You just do everything.

Griffin: Look, if Kendall's the one in danger, I'm not gonna let a couple of goons scare me away.

Cara: Look, I get it. I get it. You want to protect her. And I get it that you want to find out if these people are involved in Zach's death. Can you just promise me one thing, and you won't put yourself in danger like this ever again?

Griffin: I can't do that any more than you can.

Krystal: Hi, guys.

Jack: Hi.

Krystal: Can I get you anything to drink?

Jack: No. I think we're good.

Caleb: I'll have a beer.

Krystal: Ok. You got it.

Jack: I just hope you'll have the decency to respect our relationship.

Caleb: I have nothing but respect -- for Erica.

Jack: Omission noted. I just hope that since you have so much respect for her, that you will just realize that the game is over.

Caleb: "The game"? Is that what she is to you, a trophy? You won? You gonna have her gold-plated, stuck up on a shelf, make sure she doesn't get away?

Jack: No, the game is over, because she's about to be my wife.

Caleb: Yep. Thanks for the beer.

Krystal: Oh.

Jack: I guess you heard all that, huh?

Krystal: Yeah. Intense.

Jack: Yeah, Caleb's having a hard time handling the fact that Erica and I have finally set a date.

Krystal: Congratulations.

Jack: Thank you.

Krystal: But I have to ask. You got the girl, so why take a swing at Caleb?

Kendall: No, we need a shipment by the end of the month. That's too late. "The end of the month" means end of the month. Get back to me.

Erica: New line? How's it going?

Kendall: If I can wrangle the factory to get the shipment in on time, it's good. It's better than good.

Erica: Given how serious it sounds, you would think that Greenlee could manage to be here.

Kendall: Now that Emma is home and safe, she took the day off.

Erica: Oh. Of course. Thank God. Thank God that Ryan got his little girl back. And with any luck, Annie will remain in Oak Haven.

Kendall: Um, Bianca was here. Reese is demanding full custody of Miranda and Gaby.

Erica: Oh, that's ludicrous. Reese has -- she's not even bothered to see those little girls for months now. She has proven that she has no interest in being a mother. No court on the planet would ever take her side.

Kendall: That's what I'm hoping.

Erica: Bianca -- how is she?

Kendall: She's quiet. It's like she's in shock. But thank God she has Marissa working on it, and I offered to help her in any way I could.

Erica: We're just gonna make sure that Reese understands that she needs to be very sorry that she has ever, ever tried to come after a Kane.

Kendall: Yeah, we can be kind of scary.

Erica: Only because we love each other so much. So are you free May 14?

Kendall: Yeah, as far as I know.

Erica: That's good, because there's gonna be a wedding.

Kendall: Really? That is great! That is such good -- oh, Mom. That's the best news I've heard all day! This is good. You guys? Hey, everyone? Ahem. My mother here is finally marrying the most amazing man on the planet! Yay, yay, yay! Finally.

Erica: Thank you very much. I wish you hadn't done that.

Kendall: Come on, Mom. Since when are you shy about getting married?

Erica: It's not that. It's our second wedding, and I really wanted to keep it quiet. I really wanted it just to be really intimate like the wedding we had, family and friends in Florida.

Kendall: That was definitely magical. But this one will be even better.

Erica: It will be after we help Bianca. Because I really want my family together for my wedding, and that means Miranda and Gaby with us, too, for good.

Kendall: Then we're just gonna have to make it happen.

Erica: Ok, I'm gonna go see Bianca now.

Kendall: Wait.

Erica: What's that for?

Kendall: I'm just so happy. I'm so happy for you and for Jackson, that you're finally settling down with the love of your life, the man you're meant to be with.

[Music plays at ConFusion]

Caleb: Thank you.

Singer: Keep getting closer

Caleb: To the bride.

Cara: If you want to go and slay dragons, I'm all for it. Ok? Can you just promise me that this time you won't do it alone?

Griffin: I got this.

Tad: Oh, that's for sure.

Cara: Because if you do, Griff, then you can find somebody else to stitch you up.

Griffin: So you're bailing on me now?

Cara: I'm trying to talk some sense into you! Oh. And on that note, I'm gonna give you some pain medication.

Griffin: I don't want them.

Cara: Can you stop with the macho thing and just be smart about this?

Griffin: They make me foggy. I got to stay sharp.

Cara: You talk to him.

Tad: She's got a point. Look at yourself. Obviously you hit some kind of nerve with these people.

Griffin: That's why we press harder.

Tad: No, Griff. That's why we go to the authorities. We call the cops.

Griffin: I'm the one who tried to force myself into a woman's office. If anyone's going to jail, it would be me. If we get more information, I can get it.

Marissa: Reese is suing for custody. You're gonna face the biggest battle of your life, and you're perfectly cool and calm. Seriously, collected?

Bianca: It just has to all work out.

Marissa: You're terrified, though, that it won't. Why won't you show it?

Bianca: What do you want me to do? Scream? Cry? Fall apart in front of Miranda and Gaby? I can't do that. I have to protect them.

Marissa: Do you really want all that rage and that frustration to eat away at you? Hmm? Your words to me when I thought David was dead, and I was trying so hard to deal.

Bianca: Kendall gave you a lamp.

Marissa: And I destroyed it.

Bianca: And half the room.

Marissa: Mm-hmm. Ha ha! Yeah. Ahem. There aren't any lamps here right now, but -- you know.

Bianca: Did you seriously just throw a snowball at me?

Marissa: Oh, yeah. It felt good. You should try it.

Bianca: Are you kidding right now?

Marissa: No, I'm not kidding you. No one's around right now. Ha ha ha! You can scream! Scream like hell! Aah!

Bianca: I have never really been much of a screamer.

Marissa: No?

Bianca: But I have been told I have pretty good aim.

Marissa: Ohh! Ha ha ha ha! You are so dead now, because somebody got me in the face! Ha ha ha ha!

Marissa: That's it! Now it's so over! You're dead!

Bianca: Mercy!

Marissa: Ha ha ha ha!

Bianca: Ohh!

Marissa: I can't believe you got me in the face.

Bianca: Sorry, Red. Wow! But, gosh, that felt good.

Marissa: Always trust your lawyer, right? Ha ha ha!

Bianca: We will win, won't we?

Marissa: Oh, yeah, we'll win. I promise.

Jack: So you think I was, what, too hard on Caleb? Let me tell you something. He's been making a play for Erica ever since she crashed her plane into his little mountainside up there.

Krystal: He did save her life.

Jack: I know he saved her life, yes, and everybody is so appreciative of that. I just wanted to make sure that he knew that the game was done. It was time to cash in his chips, leave the table.

Krystal: Jackson?

Jack: What?

Krystal: I know that you and Caleb aren't exactly BFFs, and Erica is right in the middle of it all, but there is no reason on the planet for you to let it get to you anymore. Come on. You're in love, right?

Jack: Yes.

Krystal: You're committed. You're getting married. You won, all right? You won! So don't kick dirt in the guy's face.

Jack: The man sets off every alarm I have.

Krystal: Forget about him. You are marrying the woman that you love. Congratulations.

Jack: Thank you. That means a lot coming from you.

Marissa: Just the man I was looking for.

Caleb: Oh. I'm having a little lunch. You want to join me?

Marissa: Just a water, please?

Caleb: Whoa. That's exciting.

Marissa: Water with lemon.

Caleb: Oh. We're celebrating -- water with lemon.

Marissa: Um, it's about Bianca's divorce, the custody fight? I could really use your advice.

Caleb: All right.

Marissa: I had come up with this completely doable settlement -- solid terms, everybody wins -- I mean, as much as anybody can win in a divorce. And then Reese's attorney announces that she is suing for full custody. Full custody, from a woman who hasn't even made an effort to see her children in months.

Caleb: Well.

Marissa: Yeah. Obviously, I want to do what's best for the kids, which is making sure that Bianca wins. And being there for her not just legally, but emotionally, too, you know? At least, that's what Jackson says.

Caleb: Ooh. Whoa. If that's what Jack says, it must be written in stone. Must be a burning bush nearby.

Marissa: Did I miss something?

Caleb: What do you mean?

Marissa: You celebrating or wallowing?

Caleb: My partner's getting married.

Marissa: Isn't that a good thing?

Caleb: With the celebration and everything, she's just not gonna be able to do what needs to be done.

Marissa: Something tells me that Erica Kane can multitask.

Caleb: Yeah. And after the wedding, there's a honeymoon, and she's not gonna be able to give the attention that our business needs. That's all.

Marissa: But Cortlandt still has you, and you are brilliant.

Caleb: Truth is I -- I don't really want to do it without her.

Opal: All right. Come on. You have kept me in suspense long enough! I got here as quick as I could. I could hear it in your voice. It's good news, isn't it? It sounded good.

Erica: Jack and I have set the wedding date.

Opal: Ohh!

Erica: Opal!

Opal: Just wonderful! I'm sorry, but you know it's been a long time. This is the brightest, the best -- the biggest news I have heard in a long, long time. You must be so excited.

Erica: I am!

Opal: So when is the fantabulous nuptial date?

Erica: May 14, at the Shorewood Gardens.

Opal: Perfect. That's perfect! The Gardens, May 14. The lilacs will be in their full glory. But they'll pale. They'll absolutely pale next to you, the gorgeous bride! Of course, you're always a gorgeous bride, even when the marriages didn't last.

Erica: Opal, don't even put that out there!

Opal: But this one will last! It will because it's Jackson, the love of your life, your destiny. And now you've finally, finally done it, thank goodness! No more going back, just going forward. And I will be with you, honey, every step of the way -- of course, not going down the aisle. Unless you want me to give you away?

Erica: Oh, Opal. You really are my best friend in the whole world.

Opal: My darling, whatever you need. Just hit "speed dial," I will be there. I'm gonna buy the doves!

Erica: Oh, Opal, no. It's not gonna be that kind of wedding.

Opal: It has to be that kind of wedding! Are you kidding? This is the last one, the last marriage, the one that leads straight to happily ever after. Right?

Erica: Absolutely.

Opal: I've never been easy with how I blabbed to Jackson about how Caleb laid that kiss on you. I just was worried that it was gonna make a hash of everything. And now I'm beginning to wonder if maybe it was a blessing in disguise. Maybe it got Jackson to thinking about what he really wanted and how much he wanted, kind of lit a fire under his behind.

Erica: Opal, I know you didn't mean to make trouble. I know that. But I do wish you hadn't told Jack that Caleb kissed me.

Opal: Uh --

Tad: Maybe you got a point. If all we've got to go on is your bad feeling because of the word "sweetheart" in a letter, and a couple of broken ribs, because you decided to push your way into somebody's office, maybe we shouldn't call the cops.

Griffin: Thank you.

Tad: Griff, do me a favor. Don't thank me, ok? Did you notice that I used the word "we," not "you"? Do you have any idea how much trouble I'm in right now? My one job is to keep you safe. I have to go home with her. We got into this together. That means we go through it together, ok? Whatever we find, we do it as a team. We watch each other's back. So no more of this macho superhero "me against the world" crap, ok?

Griffin: But I already ordered the cape.

Tad: Ohh --

Cara: Maybe this'll help.

Griffin: I told you I don't want any more pain meds.

Kendall: Oh, my God, what happened to you?

Griffin: I'm fine.

Kendall: No, no, you're a mess. You've got a cut on your face. There's pain medication. What happened to you?

Cara: You gonna tell her?

Griffin: It's kind of embarrassing.

Kendall: What? What happened? You took your big date out to dinner, and she didn't like you, so she beat the hell out of you?

Tad: It sounds fun to me.

Griffin: I was opening the door for her, like the gentleman that I am. I opened a little too hard and fast. What are you doing here? Hmm? You just happened to be passing through?

Kendall: I wanted to be a part of this big bachelor auction for Fusion. Your turn.

Griffin: I already told you.

Kendall: You lied.

Griffin: Good news is that I am getting out of here. Ugh.

Kendall: Ok. See? You winced.

Griffin: I didn't wince.

Kendall: I distinctively heard a wince.

Tad: It's probably just gas.

Griffin: Look, I'm fine. Ok? I hit a door. There's no need for drama.

Kendall: Open your shirt. Just -- all right. Excuse me. Excuse me. Ok. There is no way in hell a door did that to you.

Jack: All right. So maybe I got a little carried away with Caleb, but I wanted to make sure he got the message.

Krystal: Yeah, I think he got the message, all right.

Jack: Good.

[Krystal pounds glass]

Jack: Need some help with that?

Krystal: This cranky tap -- it happens almost as often as we get a full moon around here. A couple pumps, usually it's fine, but this time nothing.

Jack: Let me take a look.

Krystal: Oh. Ok. Please try it.

Jack: So how are things with you?

Krystal: Great.

Jack: And the girls?

Krystal: Great.

Jack: And life with Tad and his new wife?

Krystal: Not so great.

Jack: So what are you gonna do? You gonna move out?

Krystal: I was all set to pack up and leave, and the funny thing about it is Cara -- she talked me out of it.

Jack: Hey. There you go.

Krystal: You're a lifesaver! Thank you.

Jack: So Cara talked you into moving in with her and your ex?

Krystal: Yeah. It's kind of weird, I know.

Jack: Oh, not for this town. But if anybody can pull it off, you can.

Krystal: I gave it a lot of thought, believe me. Putting a little distance between me and the newlyweds was the best thing for me. But Jenny and Kathy -- they just -- they love their daddy. Having both of us under the same roof, I just couldn't mess with that.

Jack: You and Tad seem to have reached a good place.

Krystal: Yeah, we have. But it doesn't erase the hurt I caused him. Before I came to this town, I -- I traveled light. I kept my heart to myself. But once I got to Pine Valley, one disaster after the other -- Adam, Tad, David. I mean, this is one woman who's done with love.

Jack: That would be a hell of a shame.

Marissa: I'm sure you can delegate the additional workload to other people.

Caleb: I could, but the fact is she's the only one that I trust. True, she never stops talking. But -- how's Bianca's custody battle going? How's she doing?

Marissa: She's scared. I made this big deal about how she can trust me to win the case, and I'm scared to death that I can't.

Bianca: You kissed Caleb?

Opal: He kissed her.

Bianca: When?

Erica: It was nothing.

Opal: Yeah. That's what I told Jackson.

Erica: It was New Year's Eve. It was midnight. He kissed me. That's it. That's all.

Bianca: I bet Uncle Jack wasn't too happy about it.

Erica: No. But we discussed it and it's in the past. Jack is my future, and the kiss was nothing. Caleb means nothing. Absolutely nothing.

Opal: And I promise on my honor that these lips will never again mention the -- ever again. No. Especially now, and especially not since you and Jackson have set a date.

Bianca: You have? This is great.

Erica: Yes, yes, yes!

Bianca: I'm so happy for you and Uncle Jack.

Erica: Thank you, honey.

Bianca: Tell me everything.

Erica: No. First, we're gonna take care of you.

Bianca: You talked to Kendall?

Erica: I sure did. And there is no way that Reese is gonna get custody of those beautiful, little girls.

Opal: Custody? Reese? Reese wants -- where in Hades does she get off thinking that she's gonna steal your babies?

Bianca: She won't. I have a great lawyer.

Erica: And you have us. When I walk down that aisle to Jackson, Miranda and Gaby -- they are gonna be there with me. They're gonna be my beautiful, little flower girls.

Opal: All righty. So we can check off the flower girls. One thing taken care of. We only have about 2,002 things more to decide.

Bianca: Have you thought about the guest list?

Erica: Yes. Just family and close friends.

Opal: Oh. Then we can put a great big "X" through old Mr. Caleb's name.

Erica: I will take care of the guest list. The guest list is just one thing, just part of it. We have so many other things that we have to consider. We have the reception. Should it be a sit-down dinner? Should it be a buffet? The cocktails. Music. There's so many things to think about.

Opal: Yeah, and so little time. I am ready to jump right in right now.

Bianca: I am, too.

Erica: I wish I could. I'm sorry, but I have a meeting that I have to go to.

Bianca: Now?

Erica: Yes, now. It was scheduled weeks ago.

Opal: Anything to do with Cortlandt Electronics?

Erica: Yes, as a matter of fact.

Opal: Then I guess you can't miss it.

Erica: I can't. I really can't. I'm sorry, but we'll get back to these plans as soon as possible!

Opal: Bye-bye! Have a good meeting!

Erica: Yeah, thanks.

Bianca: That kiss -- does it bother you as much as it bothers me?

Marissa: It's funny. When you first started working with Erica, she drove you crazy. Obviously that's changed, huh?

Caleb: I think I made her crazy, too.

Marissa: But you managed to find a way to work together instead of against each other.

Caleb: She's smart as a whip. Classy. Doesn't hurt that she looks the way she does, either.

Marissa: You really admire her, don't you?

Caleb: Admire her? Yeah. I do.

Jack: Look, you've had some bad experiences.

Krystal: "Bad"? Please. Catastrophic. A 10 on the scale of bad.

Jack: We all have. It doesn't mean you give up on love.

Krystal: Thank you very much, but I think I am gonna stay in my little bomb shelter for the next 100 years or so, nice and safe.

Jack: Yeah. Safe can be a little bit lonely. I just think maybe you haven't found the right man yet, that's all.

Krystal: I think I've torn up some awfully good men on the way to looking for the right one.

Jack: Now you're just bragging.

Krystal: Ha ha ha!

Jack: You're a fantastic woman. You have so much to offer. You can't just decide you're never gonna be in love again.

Krystal: You're very sweet, but I'm fresh out of hope.

Jack: Hey, it has nothing -- look at me, huh? Hope got me where I am -- engaged to Erica, about to be married. And, yes, it was a long time coming, and, yes, it was the road to hell and back sometimes, but it was worth it. Right? Same thing can happen to you. I just know it.

Krystal: God help me, you're one of those positive thinkers!

Jack: God help me, yes, I am. You deserve to be happy. Come on.

Krystal: Listen, I got nothing wrong with happy. It's just I seem to screw up the getting there, that's all.

Jack: Here's to hope, and to love and happiness for both of us.

[Glasses clink]

Tad: Are you sure? Maybe we should've stayed in there with Griffin, tried to help him out with Kendall.

Cara: No. He can handle himself. Normally, Griff can handle himself, but these casino people -- this is serious. I get it, he wants to protect Kendall, and I'm all for it, but not if he's gonna be reckless about it.

Tad: What are you gonna do if you don't have a choice? He's a pretty headstrong guy, just like his sister. If he cares about somebody, he's gonna do whatever he has to to protect them. He's certainly taken care of you your whole life.

Cara: He gave you the speech, didn't he?

Tad: About looking after his baby sister? Chapter and verse.

Cara: Ugh! You know what? I'm sorry. I am not your responsibility, ok? This is a fake marriage.

Tad: Say it a little louder. I don't think the security guys at the front desk heard it. Look, you're taking care of me. I don't mind repaying a favor.

Cara: Ok. Then don't look after me, Tad. Look after my brother.

Griffin: Ok. So it wasn't a door. It was my date's jealous ex-boyfriend. I suggested he back off. He wanted to dance, I obliged.

Kendall: Wow. You got into a fight over your date? She must be something.

Griffin: She must be, but she's something I can live without.

Kendall: Good.

Griffin: "Good"?

Kendall: Yeah. Good that you won't have to deal with any more jealous ex-boyfriends. He clearly wiped the floor with you.

Griffin: Oh, please. I held my own. Trust me.

Kendall: Tell that to your jacket.

Griffin: Heh. Ahem.

Kendall: That'll teach you to laugh at my jokes.

Krystal: Can I talk you into some pie?

Jack: Thank you, no. I should go, actually.

Krystal: Thanks, Jack. Thank you for talking me down -- and for fixing my tap.

Jack: How many times have you listened to me? The least I could do was tweak your tap for you.

Krystal: Hey. So we're even?

Jack: We will be if you accept an invitation to my wedding.

Krystal: I am so happy for you. Anyone who figures out this whole love thing gives me back a little hope.

Marissa: Maybe it'll be a good thing if Erica's gone for a little while. As much as you guys have made it work, it might be easier if she wasn't such a huge part of things.

Caleb: Might be easier, but a hell of a lot duller.

Marissa: But having to work with her on a daily basis, married to Jackson? I just don't want to see you unhappy.

Caleb: You know what the problem is? Erica Kane just makes me feel -- so damned alive.

Tad: I don't know what to tell you. I did everything I possibly could to get him to promise me he wouldn't go after the casino people on his own.

Cara: Even if he made that promise, he'd be lying through his teeth.

Tad: I'll tell you what. I'm not. Ok? I gave you my word that I would look after Griff, so I guess I'm just gonna have to up my game. There's no reason not to. After all, he's family now, right, my brother. So whether he likes it or not, he's stuck with me trying to watch his back. What?

Cara: Thank you.

Kendall: Just promise you'll be more careful about who you date.

Griffin: I will be more careful.

Kendall: You saved my life, so the least I could do is look after you. Ok. Um, I'm gonna go. Just be careful of ex-boyfriends.

Griffin: I will.

Kendall: Ok.

Griffin: Hey.

Cara: Did you tell her?

Griffin: I stayed with the date story. I threw in a jealous ex-boyfriend.

Cara: Wait a minute. What about the truth?

Griffin: Cara, I don't have the truth. All I have is a bunch of hunches, ok, and I don't want to upset her unless I have to.

Cara: No matter how many ribs you break?

Griffin: I can handle this.

Cara: Let me tell you something, brother. I got a bad feeling about this.

Griffin: That's because you worry too much.

Kendall: Hi.

Ricky: Hey.

Kendall: What are you doing here?

Ricky: A couple of my parish kids were brought in.

Kendall: Was there an accident?

Ricky: No. They got beat up for trying to do the right thing.

Kendall: I don't understand.

Ricky: I guess it all goes back to who's ever stealing drugs from this place and selling them on the street. He found out that my kids dropped some information on him, so he beat the hell out of them.

Kendall: Are they ok?

Ricky: They will be. They gave as good as they got, but the guy got away.

Kendall: Can they identify him?

Ricky: I don't know. It was dark. They couldn't see his face. He was well-dressed. He was wearing a dark suit with a striped shirt and tie.

Kendall: Are they sure?

Ricky: Yes.
